I see that Group D in the Champions League still looks fierce in the struggle for first and second place, even though the four teams have played five times and only have one more game left before heading to the round of 16. In general all four teams still have a chance of qualifying for the round of 16 because it depends on the final result in the last match of the group stage and in this case I find it very difficult to make a prediction who will qualify for the round of 16 because two of them have the same points and the other two only differed by one point, except for the first rank with the fourth rank which had a difference of two points.

I feel Tottenham and Sporting CP will make it to the 16 group because seems like they will be playing away and from what they played previously with their first encounter, Tottenham and Sporting CP kills Frankfurt and Marseille which I believe they will do again. There won match, draw and loss all looks similar but Tottenham is a little fair, they will rather play to draw and qualify than lose, the left fight will be left between Sporting CP and Frankfurt.

~snip~

This group is really very interesting.

because all the teams that are members of group D, have the potential to qualify for the next round. speaking of probabilities, it's not only Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon that have the highest odds. the article, Tottenham will play the match later at the Orange Valedrom, the headquarters of Marseille.
Of course, the hosts have the opportunity to win the battle because they benefit from playing at home, in addition, the absence of Richarlison reduces the sharpness of their attack.
on the other hand, Marseille will play full aggressive with attacking patterns since the early minutes. both need a win, and ensure they will qualify for the next round.

As for Frankfurt, sometimes this one team often surprises us. however, Sporting Lisbon has the advantage of playing as the home team. This match will present a hot atmosphere, both teams will play totality to get the win.
So, let's wait for the middle of next week.

Manchester united will meet barcelona again ... they used to meet at the top level UCL but thesedays it seems they adapting to get used meet in Europa League the second class of european competition , what a shame for both , bad seasons and counting ..
Money wasted away successfully in getting no trophy
Last season, Barcelona was also in the Europe League but they also failed to lift the trophy. They got various criticisms. And it could be the same this season because we also know that their opponents are certainly strong. Barcelona is a shame, they should be able to escape, but whatever power, they don't play well enough in the previous [echo. They lost to Inter and also Bayern.
This season will be the same like previous season. The europa league become even harder with so many on fire team from another league was also competing to be a winner in europa league. That will be a hard time for barcelona.
The champion league is also become even more competitive compared with the previous season. The current season is still too strong to be beaten by barcelona. Barcelona needs more than a mircle to win europa league.
So many team in the champion league have very good record especially for bayern and napoli. These team are very strong at this moment. Barcelona is nothing in the champion league.

Barcelona is not going to be the Champion of the Europa League, they did not do it last season and they cannot do it this season because if you look at the Europa League of this season you will see that many serious clubs are in the league compared to last season. If Barcelona could not win Europa League of last season that the serious clubs were Frankfurt, is it now that we have Manchester United, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and the rest of them that Barcelona will win the league?

About the UEL champion candidates, who do you think has the most potential to become the UCL champion? For me, Manchester United are at the forefront of getting this title.
There will be a lot of great teams coming to UEL after they don't qualify for UCL. I don't know much about which teams. Maybe Barcelona, Arsenal, Man United are the Favourites. But there are always a lot of surprises, even a team that we don't think can become champions. Although it is considered the second caste, I think every team will work hard to win that cup. Man United have not been stable enough to date, I think it is difficult for them to win.
At the moment, I'll take my chances with Arsenal. Arsenal remains the only team that have been some worth consistent across leagues. So far, they've only been betane twice, once by Manchester United in the premier league and the second time by PSV Eindhoven in the Europa. Although, that of the Europa League could be said to have been purposeful by Arteta in a way to rest some of his players for the premier league games ahead and with the fact that, his not struggling for qualifiers to the next round.

Barcelona haven't joined up makes no difference. They are just not good enough for any team these days to pose any threat.

Ohh no, you mean Arsenal, they don't have a good back up
It's not clear who wins right now
Barcelona last season was favorite but still lost to Frankfurt who later won the Europa league

Each team in Group D still has an equal chance of qualifying for the knockout round. Tottenham at the top of the table has 8 points, and Marseille at the bottom has 6 points. So which team will be able to qualify will entirely depend on their performance in the last match. I think everyone is looking forward to watching the Group D matches. Because it is fairly certain which teams will qualify from the other groups.

I think it’s not only the Group D that is wild, the players goals seems to be tight between Salah, Mbabe, Haaland and Lewandoski, though Barcelona is out and automatically Lewandoski progression comes to an end but we still have more fight between the remaining players.

Group D most excited group at Champion League because not any team yet have been qualify to next round, although Spurs leader as first standing position not guarantee will qualify to next round, exactly Frankfurt as bottom position standing still have chance playing at 16 round depending what result at last matchday. Tottenham if win next match from Marseille actually will qualify to next round as first standing position and little difficult if loss and other match between Sporting win from Frankfurt. Final match for group D participants and seems most interested to know which one first team in this group will qualify to next round.

True, Europa League will be more interesting to watch when there are some big names such as the ones you mention above. Juventus is still questionable whether they will be able to go to Europa League or not after failed in the group stage of UCL. Their point is the same as Maccabi while Juventus have to face PSG in the last match.
I see.
Juventus' conditions are very alarming at this time. I am also not sure that they will win against PSG if they see how their abilities and performance so far, especially at UCL. They really played very badly this season. They could only win 1 and lost 4 like Maccabi Haifa. The difference is only on the goals

UCL this time is indeed full of surprises because there are several large clubs that do not pass the group phase. And we are also surprised by a variety of very good appearance from several groups that are actually not so famous. Indeed, this is football.

Why won't they desire to win the title? That will be added to their achievements for the club. Remember that the Super Cup is played between champions league and Europa league winners, and it is an important trophy that every team would like to win. Instead of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage and then losing, I believe it is preferable to win the Europa League.

All of the teams that moved from the Champions League to the Europa League will make the competition more exciting to watch. We'll have an interesting competition here with top teams like Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax, Athletico Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United. With Arsenal in good form right now, I believe they have a good chance of winning the Europa League this season.
That's very strange that we forgot about the money. I read that Villereal earned only about 20 million euros in prize money, not counting television broadcasts, but the amounts were not disclosed there. It seems that the amount is not the largest, but for poor teams this is an opportunity to make 1-2 good transfers, with money from victories in the Europa League.
Top teams that played first in the Champions League, and then moved to the Europa League can earn 30-35 million, like Manchester United in 21.
I would guess that making 20 million in today's age doesn't mean anything. This is why most clubs in Europe are being sold these days, because they are not making any profit, you could make as much as 100-150 million euro per year, but between salaries of the players and the operational costs it would require you to spend at least that much every year just to continue, and most teams have debts as well they pay, so it's a loss, on top of that there are changes in the clubs as well, such as sacking a manager but still paying his termination clause and all, or most importantly buying players. This is why it's not that easy for smaller clubs to go further ahead when bigger clubs usually are just way too rich.

Actually expecting something like that is not too wrong because Lewa is a targetman and Lewa can actually still be hopeful but the problem is that the supply given to Lewa in the last few matches is not very good which makes Lewa unable to play like she should.
With this condition there will actually be worries for Xavi but seeing the condition of Barcelona it will only stay like that because if they change the coach again it will be very difficult for their financial condition.

This will always be the problem of teams that rely on a player to get the needed results. In the case of Barcelona, opponents have began to understand that if the stop the flow of the ball to Robert Lewandowski, the team would become powerless in the attack. So the teams would device ways to block the aerial passes from the wings and chock-up the midfield to ensure that he doesn't get the ball. And Lewandowski don't have the strength to get ball from the midfield or run through the flanks because of his age. That is why Chelsea would always be an unpredictable team because even defenders a potential goalscorers.

This is the problem Xavi is too focused on Lewandowski as a target man so that the scheme they do is quite clear to read from the start.
Even though they have some typical midfielders and wing runners like Gavi or Pedri in midfield as well as Dembele, Ansu and Rafinha whose skills are actually above average but indeed Xavi seems to still want to continue with his tiki taka philosophy so that these players are not too maximum in performance.

It is good to see PSG win against Troyes it ended in a 4-3 Carlos Soler scoring in the 24', Messi in the 55', Nyemar in the 62' and Mbappe with the penalty win in the 77'. Troyes were almost difficult as they were creating chances with every little opportunity the had despite PSG dominating the game Troyes found a way of replying every goal scored by PSG it was a fun game altogether
We all applaud PSG for finding the back of their opponents net but fans of PSG know that the only snag holding them back from being truly dominant this season just like Manchester City is their defence. Anyone with a hawk eye will be able to spot this weakness when they play with smaller teams but sooner than later when they face big tough opponents, this weakness may cost them a lot if it is not fixed immediately.
But in this match I will also appreciate what Troyes did with their condition under pressure they can still create 3 goals in this match and of course this is something that should be noticed that PSG are still struggling to deal with fast counter attacks by opponents.
Even with 32% possession from Troyes they were able to create lots of chances in this match. In this case, we can conclude that their defense is still not going well when focusing on attacking.
It's definitely not very good in the Champions League because the opponents they face are clearly different from Ligue 1

There are many big teams joining the Europa League from the group stage of the Champions League this time. I wonder how many of them will care about that tournament and try to win the title.

Actually Velvet78 has a point there.

I mean that we saw some examples about this before. In the previous season, Dortmund were one of the teams relegating from the Champions League to the Europa League. Their opponent there was Rangers and they were eliminated by them right away. Normally you would expect Dortmund to just destroy a team like Rangers but they didn't. Barcelona were also one of the strongest candidates for the title but they couldn't reach even the final. I believe these were all because of their not caring about the Europa League as much as the Champions League. But there is no obligation like this will always go on like this of course.

Liverpool have seemed to be very promising thanks to their performance in their last four group games. It was a horrible start against Napoli by a 4-1 loss and I started questioning their future already. However they still showed their quality and won four games in a row.

However two of these games were against Rangers and they didn't have any problem at all in those games as a result. The other two were against Ajax which were a strong team on paper. But in action, they have had a horrible run in the Champions League. I don't remember the last time I saw them this much weak here. I just want to see Liverpool against bigger teams after the group stage. If we still see some struggle and inconsistency just as in the EPL then I don't think they can make it to the CL title this season.

If we are realistic and do not expect Liverpool to win over Napoli in the last round, and with a difference of at least 4 goals, then we can say that Liverpool ends the group stage in second place. This means that in the 1/8 finals they have a great chance to immediately get a very strong opponent. And I would say that this is fair - last season they had the easiest calendar of games until the very final and if this season everything is the other way around, then it will be fair.
Napoli are a very strong team now, they are showing that not only in the Champions League but also in the domestic league they are doing well. But the last game will mean nothing for both teams because they have already made sure to qualify for the next round. I think they will play it safe and if they want this game they can use it to rotate the team to keep the main players fit.
Napoli can go honestly really far in the champions league if they continue to play like this. I dont know how much experience this team has in the knockout faze but i think they will go really far. They are currently on a 12 match winning streak and i dont see it ending anytime soon.

PFG vs Troyes today is a very good match in the Champions League game. Troyes gave PSG a goal just 2 minutes into the game. However, PSG is a very strong team and nobody expected them to score so soon. Because even though PSG has three stars, they are not performing very well in today's match. However, it is currently seen in the live game that a goal has just been scored by PSG. With the endless cooperation of Neymar, Carlos Soler A goal given very perfectly. Currently PSG team players are showing very good game while Troyes team players are not performing well. Now if Troyes team needs a good game against PSG because if not PSG is likely to score a few more goals. Now a very tight game is going on between the two teams, let's see which team wins at the end of the game.
It is good to see PSG win against Troyes it ended in a 4-3 Carlos Soler scoring in the 24', Messi in the 55', Nyemar in the 62' and Mbappe with the penalty win in the 77'.
