Even though they were eliminated from UCL and will play in UEL, I don't think that they will not pursue the UEL title. There is no reason for them not to pursue that title. Like Barcelona for example, they haven't performed well enough than their eternal rivals (Real Madrid), so, if they want to get at least one title for this season, they have to win the UEL title.
About the UEL champion candidates, who do you think has the most potential to become the UCL champion? For me, Manchester United are at the forefront of getting this title.
However two of these games were against Rangers and they didn't have any problem at all in those games as a result. The other two were against Ajax which were a strong team on paper. But in action, they have had a horrible run in the Champions League. I don't remember the last time I saw them this much weak here. I just want to see Liverpool against bigger teams after the group stage. If we still see some struggle and inconsistency just as in the EPL then I don't think they can make it to the CL title this season.
If we are realistic and do not expect Liverpool to win over Napoli in the last round, and with a difference of at least 4 goals, then we can say that Liverpool ends the group stage in second place. This means that in the 1/8 finals they have a great chance to immediately get a very strong opponent. And I would say that this is fair - last season they had the easiest calendar of games until the very final and if this season everything is the other way around, then it will be fair.
