Huge surprise yesterday night as Marseille was eliminated through penalties from Panathinaikos.Marseille had everything under control and was comfortably leading 2-0 while they committed a penalty in the 90+9 minute of the game which made the game go in additional time.I don't know if this was bad luck or deserved but for me it was mostly bad luck and underestimating the opponent, they thought they were already qualified when in fact they got to additional time and later to penalties which are a lottery and they are now out of the Champions League.

Marseille were unlucky yesterday... But I've noticed that recently the referees have started to add a lot of extra time when decisive events happen... Yesterday was one of those games when Marseille should have won, but they didn't... I didn't think they couldn't beat Panathinaikos...

In the UEFA Champions League Bačka Topola vs Braga two team match, Braga team showed again that they play very well. Braga team players performed very well in this match. Bačka Topola team could not score more than 1 goal due to the weakness of the team players. Braga team 4 goal is the victory. 1 goal in the first 8 minutes of the game. Braga scored 4 goals before halftime. I thought Braga might score a few more goals after halftime but Bačka Topola couldn't do it for the team players. After halftime Bačka Topola is good played

The quality owned by either of clubs are very far. Braga is far superior compared with topola in everything. It's not surprising me to see braga won with very big aggregates against topola. I meant let's realize the fact that if the result from the first league was more than enough to know how braga will own topola in the second leg. Braga is very strong right now. I must admit that if this club potentially to beat Panathinaikos in the play off of UCL. Panathinaikos gonna face braga in the next game. it will be so hard to determine which club has more winning chance to win the play off to be qualified for UCL. The final round to determine which teams qualified for play off will come soon.

The return of injured players and the team performance of the current stars may be a bad season for Real Madrid next season. Thibaut Courtois, one of Real Madrid's best goalkeepers, has suffered a serious foot injury during training early in the season, Thibaut Courtois has been ruled out for a year, and Éder Militão, one of Real Madrid's best defenders, has been sidelined for the duration of the game despite the extent of his injury. It is not yet known how serious it is. Apart from these two, Mbappe was supposed to join Real Madrid after Benzema's departure, but Mbappe will join Madrid after one more season, that is, all these things seem to me that next season will not go well for Real Madrid.
Elite clubs are been mostly affected by injuries that impact a decline in their performance. Thibaut Courtois and Éder Milito are both sidelined for several months, so perhaps the team is going to miss them. Real Madrid is not reliant on a single player; they play collective football for the reason they have the necessary understanding. I'm a Madrid fan, and I'm not concerned about the absence of these important players. Carlo Ancelotti knows how to deal with the issue at hand, and I personally have confidence in him. Real Madrid has capable backups for these crucial players.

True you are totally right, I agree with you.
I don't understand what game they are playing honestly, with the fierce Barcelona playing in the market in this way will lead you to play understaffed and with La Liga at high levels and the CHAmpions League you risk ending up like a mouse against a cat: that is, eaten.
I hope they understand and wake up a little.
Real Madrid understands the situation well and they will not act recklessly as long as the situation allows. I would definitely be very happy if in the end Real Madrid managed to sign Kylian Mbappe sooner instead of waiting for his contract to expire at PSG, but I don't think that is the only problem Real Madrid need to solve this season.

The fact is that Real Madrid must also pay attention to its defense where several important players are currently injured. I welcome the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga as our new goalkeeper while Thibaut Courtois is out injured. While Éder Militão's injury also deserves special attention in the transfer market even though Real Madrid have several replacement defenders for him.

Marseille loses and it's already out from UCL. It may not placed in the lower competition than UCL. It surprises me how Marseille was losing against Panathinaikos. Marseille's keeper was so bad. This guy was always lack of predicting the movement from the ball even earliest. Panathinaikos's goal keeper far better compared with Marseille. It seems the club needs to buy a new goal keeper that has a good instinct in anticipating penalty.
Congratulation for panathinaikos. It's qualified for UCL playoff against braga soon. It surprises me how panathi was able making the situation to be draw. Aubameyang must be facing the loses which is bad for him.

Many people were surprised too.
Of course, it was a surprise because the equalizer goal happen in the final minutes of the match, and this is a painful defeat because Marseille was only minutes from reaching the playoff round but all broke when Panathinaikos well to executed the penalty reward and two goals from Aubmeyang looked to be in vain, especially in the end Marseille lost in the penalty shootout after the aggregate goals remained the same 2-2, penalty shootouts are very difficult to predict, strong teams sometimes find it difficult to win either because of their kicker or also their goalkeeper who has difficulty dealing with pressure in one-on-one games, being the home team still put strong pressure on the Marseille players especially during penalty shootouts and that made them fail.
it was very sad when Marseille victory turned into a defeat when entering the penalty round with a surprising score. just try if there is no penalty maybe Marseille will still win because from the first score it looks very superior to Marseille and in possession of the ball Marseille is superior but its a shame that Marseille defense was a little weak when it came to the last minute and had to go through a penalty.
somehow this strategy was carried out because of the disappointment when the score drew to a draw in Marseille, such as being inconsistent in the match against panathinaikos, so they had to experience defeat with an aggregate score which made the fans feel disappointed. I understand that penalties cannot be predicted and top teams can still lose but at least when it comes to penalties as a Marseille coach you have to pressure the players to be serious and focus because the opportunity in the champions league will not come again if the season has not changed.
well, however this has been a defeat that must be accepted by Marseille.

After played in many matches, Aubameyang have show his good performance although only for one match. I don't understand with Marseille's coach to replace Pau Lopez with Ruben Blanco during the penalty stage, Ruben Blanco is played rarely, obviously his performance wouldn't as good as Lopez.

It's really crucial, however this lose will hit hard for Aubameyang, similar like how Mbappe's feeling not win in the world cup.

In such knockout matches, teams need to be careful in both games. Marseille, who lost the first match 1-0, were eliminated on penalties in the second match. Marseille would have qualified today if they had drawn the first leg.

Marseille took a 2-0 lead with Aubameyang's goals in the 2nd and 45+1th minutes. This score would have been enough for Marseille to advance, but Panathinaikos won a penalty at 90+9 and the match went into extra time. Extra time matches are often the scene of surprises. Panathinaikos beat Marseille on penalties to advance to the next round. I never expected such a result, it was a big surprise that a team like Marseille was eliminated in this round.

In fact, two important players of the Real Madrid team are injured and their injuries will continue for a long time. We need to watch a few matches to understand how the team is affected by the absence of these two players. But I believe kepa is an amazing goalkeeper.

Marseille vs Panathinaikos

I have to says this is hard match for Marseille because they have to win at least with 2 goals margin or more and we all know Marseille had a problem with their consistency so although they had just win against Reims on Ligue 1 but it won't guarantee they will be able to playing well today and Panathinaikos had a strong defense that in the last 10 matches in all competitions they were never conceded more than 2 goals so i assume in this match Panathinaikos will displayed negative football because they want to secured one place on group stage

According to the odds i can see Marseille is the favourite with odds @1.53 and Panathinaikos as underdog status with odds @6 but i don't think pick Marseille as my bets will be good option because their consistency makes me doubt that they can able to beat Panathinaikos but just like i said above that my prediction is Panathinaikos will aiming draw result in this match so i have two options and it was draw or under 2.5 goals

Marseille had a good start in the Ligue 1 but I can't say the same thing for the Champions League qualifiers. They had serious issues in the first leg and that red card made things even more difficult. At least they didn't lose by a bigger goal difference to Panathinaikos. Otherwise there would even be a tougher job to do in the second leg. Panathinaikos must be thinking of adopting a fully defensive game. They would just look for counter-attack opportunities that's all.

While they play for maintaining the score advantage on aggregate Marseille had better be more effective in the attacking area. If they don't get ahead early I hope they don't get eliminated shockingly. Marcelino has a big responsibility now.
Yes, Marseille are in a difficult situation and probably nobody expected them to lose in the first game. Today they need only a win, preferably with a few goals. Probably for Panathinaikos the best solution will be to play defensive football and look for opportunities for counterattacks. But still I think that Marseille will win at home.

I think Marseille will win this match at home. Aubameyang's goal in the 2nd minute already put them in an advantageous position. If they score the second goal in the first half, Panathinaikos will have to take risks and we may see more goals in the match. Marseille is a team that I'm sure to get through right now. I hope I am not wrong.

It's a tragedy. While Marseille was about to win the game, Panathinaikos penalty and the goal scored took the game into overtime. After extra time, Panathinaikos advanced to the next round and Marseille is now eliminated from UCL. It was a great start for Marseille. They had a 2-0 lead in the first half, but they were eliminated at the end of the night. Big shock for them.

In my opinion, this was a heavy blow for Marseille in last night's match, even though they were already ahead in the first round but the goddess of fortune was not on side with Marseille to participate in the Champions League, even though Panathinaikos did not benefit in last night's match at least Panathinaikos had the luck to get a Penalty prize from the Referee, Of course this opportunity can be taken by Panathinaikos to balance and equalize on aggregate to 2-2 and visit extra time and of course it will drain the stamina of the two clubs, whoever advances will of course be a record for Panathinaikos being able to get rid of Marseille in the decisive match to qualify for Champions League, even though Aubameyang's goal contribution in his first debut at the Marseille club did not produce results and prevented Marseille from qualifying for the UCL, at least Aubameyang gave his first debut goal for Marseille fans and management who have confidence in Aubameyang to remain confident and be able to contribute in matches furthermore..

Since Marseille could not win the away match, it was difficult for them to qualify for the next round, winning the home match by a big margin. Marseille lost the away match 1-0. So they needed a 2-0 win in today's match. The performance of Marseille players was excellent throughout the match. They dominated the match. But they were a bit unlucky. 90+9 minutes Panathinaikos scored from a penalty chance. And Matcity goes to a penalty shootout.

Marseille's players never let me down. Their performance was very good. aubameyang played brilliantly and managed to score two goals in the first half. Marseille has the ability to win the champions league. And I believe we will see this team in the Champions League.

Tonight, there are UEFA Champions League third qualifying round second leg. I will prefer to watch Galatasaray-NK Olimpija Ljublja match. Galatasaray won the first match 3-0. In my opinion, the favorite team is Galatasaray
Galatasaray finished the first leg match with 3 goals to 0 so they are psychologically in a better situation than their rivals. Now they are leading with 1 goal scored by Icardi in the first half. They almost terminated all Olimpija chances of recovery. Same goes for Braga, punishing badly Tapola with 3 goals difference in both matches, well the second one is still running.
There is few matches that already finished. Aris Limassol after their good second qualifying round, they lost both games vs Rakow and had to leave the competition. Otherwise, eyes on Copenhagen and Marseille!

I thought predicting this game between Olimpija and Galatasaray was not really hard because in this game between these two teams, Galatasaray had much more chance while Olimpija is not the team to me trouble at all, in the last game they had, Olimpija lost the game with 3-0 result and this could show us betting on Galatasaray for this match could be a low-risk and safe bet.

Galatasaray beat Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0. Icardi scored the goal, assisted by Barış Alper Yılmaz. Icardi is an unstoppable striker with Galatasaray jersey. Boey had a great performance tonight. As usual, Lucas Torreira had a great performance. However Lucas Torreira straight red card against Olimpija Ljubljana 65'. Lucas Torreira is banned play-off matches. This sitiuton is huge problem Galatasaray. Lucas Torreira is a value player for Galatasaray. And Lucas Torreira's absence affects Galatasaray's game.

Galatasaray opponent in the play-off round is Molde. Molde lost 2-1 to Klasvik in the first leg, but won the second leg 2-0. Galatasaray will face Molde on Wednesday, August 23.
