Sevilla Manchester city its a match to NO analize, its a no sense, both teams play the amtch with their heads more thinking about the next game for domestic leagues than in this cup.

Its all fault of the UEFA for putting this amtch on a window between games in the national leagues, this kind of games had to be played before the starts of normal season.

It's a bad habit owned by UEFA. The funny thing is pep was making a sarcastic comment regarding the schedule of domestic league.
Quote
The City boss even joked that the 72 hour turnaround meant celebrations of their maiden win of the competition would have to be restricted to soft drinks.

'Of course tomorrow we'll be even happier than today,' the Spaniard told reporters post-match. 'Recovered, not one drop of alcohol today.

"Thank you so much to the Premier League for letting us play on Saturday...and not on Sunday or Monday..."
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12415933/Pep-Guardiola-sarcastically-thanks-Premier-League-giving-Man-City-Wednesday-Saturday-turnaround-Super-Cup-bans-Jack-Grealish-alcohol-celebrations.html

There was no party for manchester city to celebrate its first trophy for this season. Pep urges all the players to be fully prepared before the big match against newcastle. The manchester city will be playing against newcastle without KDB.
Although it is a setback for the club, Pep must ensure meticulous preparation before the significant match on saturday. No alcohol, no party, fully focusing to recover the stamina from all of players before the big match.

Im aware of how disappointed pep to the premier league are .

Manchester City's midfield was not strong. This affects their overall performance. Gundagon has left the team. And their midfield's two most important weapons De Bruyne and Silva were not with the squad. Manchester City's midfield is weak without these two players. And because of the weak midfield, we don't see a good performance from Haaland in this match either. Manchester City would have been able to score even if Haaland played well.

Sevilla is an experienced team. And they are tricky. Sevilla played badly defensively in this match. If Sevilla did not play defensively, Manchester City would have been able to create a scoring opportunity. However, Sevilla's team performance is excellent I'd say. The bonding between the Sevilla players was very strong. This is why City can't score more than one goal despite many attacks.
I admit that Sevilla is a different team in Europe even though they did poorly in La Liga like last season. Sevilla was good in defense even when Manchester City were building up the attack, that's what I saw during the game. But after all, Manchester City is still a pretty good team at creating chances even though they failed to score more than 1 goal.

In the UEFA Super Cup game, I totally agree that Manchester City are missing a lot of creativity in midfield. Two of their best attacking midfielders are out through injury, but Foden and Palmer aren't too shabby either. It was evident that Foden and Palmer could threaten the Sevilla defense in that game even though Haaland didn't have many good chances.
Sevilla in my opinion performed very well yesterday in their UEFA Super Cup game against their English counterparts Manchester City but were denied by a win in normal time by Cole Palmer's second half goal.
City's performance yesterday was totally unlike them as the team was finding it difficult to create goalscoring chances and that I think is because of the fact that their midfield maestro Kelvin De Bruyne was absent in the game. I used to think that the current Manchester City team was built around Erling Haaland but from what I've seen so far, City is built around De Bruyne and that's why they struggled in his absence since he wasn't their to link the midfield and attack

Man City were just lucky to win... The penalty shootout was just luck, not skill... Sevilla played not worse and sometimes even better and more dangerous, especially in the second half when they were able to make some great counterattacks... But as a result, Man City won and there is nothing to say here... They are the holders of the super cup...
I also agree that the victory that Manchester City got in the super cup was a fortune, because the victory that was won on penalties was a victory that did not have to be measured based on the strengths in the team. I was also very surprised when I saw Sevilla able to play like that against Manchester City in the Super Cup and this has shown that Sevilla is indeed a team that their opponents should not underestimate this season.

Sevilla will always perform well in every season, whether in the Spanish League or Europa League, the two teams have strengths in possession and several coaches from the two clubs are also quite detailed in giving directions in each match, that's why these two clubs won last season, even though  Manchester City is left with several players, in my opinion it will not affect the current squad, Sevilla will certainly have trouble overcoming the Manchester City squad when they meet, I'm sure Manchester City will win it..

Sevila performance was really great in today's match against Manchester city who happens to be the star club in the last season and more also one of the leading clubs in the first leg games of this season,  but in tonight match,  Sevila really thought them a great lesson because the held the club down up until the 90 minutes plus was over and also were able to end the match on a draw after a tough penalty shootout,  this performance is indeed what we expect from most of the smaller clubs giving the bigger clubs tough time, this is what excite football fans most,  and it also what makes football an exciting game.
Manchester City has added another trophy to their chest. They were the favorites and they proved their worth. City had a greater hold of the midfield and dominated the game. Ball possession was City 74% and Sevilla 26℅ which shows how City had total control. They created many chances and had about 7 shots on target. Kudos to Palmer for canceling En-Nesyri's goal in the second half. If not for that goal Sevilla would have defended their single goal till the end. The match was not rough or physical and only two yellow cards were issued which went to Servilla players.

I never expected that game will be decided by penalties because City has the quality to score more goals. But the discipline and hard work of the Spanish side restricted City's fierce attack. Penalties are a combination of luck and skills, so Sevilla was once again unlucky. The Spanish side has lost this trophy more than any European club. Congratulations to Pep Guardiola's Citizens for adding the 15th trophy since the coach took over the club in 2016.

They finally won the game but they got it the hard way, your analysis shows you only checked the game your mobile football application to check the stats. City couldn't score more than that because the player's to create goal scoring chance was absent in the game.
Erling Haaland also has poor stats when it comes to the finals and semi-finals. It shows that Lionel Messi has the lead over him for the chase of the world best player. Pep is a great coach four trophies in how many months wonderful!
Manchester City's opponents in the Champions League semi-finals were tougher than their opponents in the Champions League final. We wanted to see Real Madrid and Manchester City in the final but that didn't happen, Manchester City defeated Real Madrid in the semi-final match and played the final match against Inter Milan. After demolishing Real Madrid at their home ground, we thought Inter Milan would be beaten by a big margin in the final but the problem was the injury to their key player as well as Erling Haaland's poor performance. There were many chances to lose against Inter Milan in the end but the Manchester City goalkeeper kept his goal post safe which ultimately led to Manchester City winning the final match.

To be successful in football, it is not enough just to score goals, good team play, good defense and the right strategy are also necessary. I think Sevilla has done a great job in this regard. So a very good final match has been left behind Smiley
Overall a team must have a squad that is well connected between one line and another, it's useless for the front line to be so sharp in scoring goals but the wall of defense is unable to withstand attacks from the opposing team. Sevilla have managed to improve after they slumped in La Liga last season. The defeat by Manchester City on penalties does not mean that they played badly, instead they have progressed and are ready to face challenges in the UCL because they have just managed to hold Manchester City to a draw in 90 minutes of normal time.

Basically Sevilla always has a good performance when playing in important matches like this, because the fact is that last season Sevilla was also bad in La Liga but Sevilla won the trophy in the Europa League. Therefore, I don't think it's something new if Sevilla play well in Super Cup events like this, because this is an important match of course. Although there are some who say Sevilla are not playing well but still, with Sevilla being able to score first in this match at least it is also proof of the skills that Sevilla have to be able to play great in important matches.
Unfortunate Sevilla, they were the stronger side. Yet, they seem to good in winning the Europa League, not so much good in the Super Cup. At least their past seven Super Cup appearances confirm that.

But yes, about Manchester City I have also said that Manchester City is still lucky at this moment. Because maybe, Mancehster City also could not play optimally because of Bruyne absence. But yes, considering Manchester City have better quality than Sevilla, then of course Bruyne absence should not have a big impact on Manchester City performance. But what happened was that Manchester City struggled to win when playing without Bruyne, this kind of dependence will certainly not be good for Manchester City performance in the next matches.
Statistics also reveal that around 90-95% of UEFA Super Cups are generally won by the team that won the previous season's Champions League. Observing the match, it was clear that City shouldn't have won it, but luck was on their side. Congratulations to Manchester City for winning the 2023/2024 Super Cup. Luck favored them this time, but it won't always work.

This is the UEFA Super Cup final which brings together 2 of Europe's great teams at the moment so it's only natural that the match will be fierce.
It's true that Manchester City didn't play well in this match, because they had trouble scoring goals even though they completely controlled Ballposition but I still think that's a natural thing and also the victory they won couldn't be separated from the very strong mentality of this team.

I think here we don't have to compare Erling Haaland and Messi, Erling Haaland is a striker. He can't play well if he's not supported by a midfielder who provides a good ball supply for him to score goals and also it's a big game.

We also have to refer to the City line-up who did not play their full starting eleven in that match. De Bruyne was injured, Bernardo Silva was not even played, Alvarez played in the 85th minute. Phil Foden played as a midfielder, Cole Palmer became the main starter, plus Pep implemented a 4-3-3 system. had Pep implemented a 4-2-3-1 system, perhaps the situation would have been different. Haaland became the lone striker, Alvarez was behind Haaland, Grealish remained in his position, Phil Foden could be played on the left flank, Rodri and Kovacic were a double pivot. or, had Pep implemented his flagship 3-2-4-1 system, things would have been a lot different. Unfortunately, De Bruyne has been injured.

But even though Pep did not play some of his main players and even implemented a different formation pattern, City still excelled in terms of ball possession. although some of the core players were not played, tactically City was much better with 74% ball possession, 23 total shots, 7 shots on target, 3 big chances. unfortunately, only one opportunity they were able to convert into goals. On the contrary, Sevilla played more defensively because City dominated the game. luckily Bono played really well, he made 6 saves. but in the end Sevilla fell from a penalty shoot-out, at least not too bad because they were against a team of Manchester City's stature. I suspect, by the way, if Pep prefers not to play some of his players for the match in the domestic league later against Newcastle.

Even though Man City dominated in the match against Sevilla, Man City found it difficult to attack because of the lack of attack creators. However, it should be appreciated that Man City won without four important players compared to last season's main squad, such as Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne and John Stones.

From the match against Sevilla, we can conclude that all Man City players have a winning mentality to face the fierceness of the Champions League this season. They already know what trophies are important to them, and what trophies need to be sacrificed so that the player's stamina remains stable. For me, Man City is just looking for a true midfielder to replace Kevin De Bruyne, he is too old to keep up with young players, he is physically drained.

I fully agree with your thinking, UEFA is making too many changes to an historic event, the champions league is and must remain only for European clubs, the Saudis have their own champions, everyone stays where they belong! I also don't like the new format of the champions league very much but I keep the considerations at the end of the 24/25 season to give an opinion. The Superleague has now faded but if it were to regain altitude I would be happy to support it, because UEFA's choices are massacring the world of football

The European Champions League is good (and I would say good only due to the fact) that the best players in the world play there and in fact it is like the World Champions League. After the Saudis began their expansion, this state of affairs is already disappearing. What can be done? Either unite or compete. It is impossible to compete under the auspices of UEFA, only the European Super League could compete financially with the Saudis. I support the idea of a Super League no matter how things go with the Saudis, I wouldn't even mind if there were a couple of teams from Saudi Arabia in the Super League.

The performance of the Sevilla team is truly admirable. Manchester City's performance has been disappointing. The Sevilla team did not really capitalize on the opportunities they had to score.
Especially when talking about Seville's defense which was incredibly strong in last night's game and that proves that Manchester City, which has a style of play with a total attack, can do nothing but one goal they scored in the second half. I had thought that Manchester City would win this match easily, I even thought the match would end with a score of 3-1 or 4-1, but in reality Sevilla can read Manchester City's strategic direction so that makes it difficult for them. However, even though Sevilla lost, we really appreciate Sevilla's performance and we can see that even an underdog team can sometimes force strong teams to try hard in this match.

The way Manchester City has started this season is really questionable. Looking ahead, I remain hopeful that their gameplay will progressively enhance throughout the season. And I think in the last season Manchester City also started a little shaky. I think that was the time when Haaland was missing a lot of easy chances. After that, they were able to become consistent in their performance. And after that, we all know what happened. So the key is to stay consistent and always try to improve. Just because Manchester City is the champion of the Champions League and English Premier League, does not mean that they are going to defend the title successfully. Performance is going to matter a lot for them.

Yes, Manchester City was able to win the match against Sevilla. But I think we all agreed that we expected a bigger and more convincing win from Manchester City.

I don't like the idea, lets keep the champions league to Europe and Europe only, I personally don't like all this new rules they keep adding to the football that we knew, it's spoiling it and if UEFA does this then they have spoiled football and I'll be in support of the Super league to replace the champions league because they would have taken the prestige of the league by allowing those farmers with their money to come and spoil everything. They'll just bribe the referee with their oil billion and spoil the good game. Also this means they can get younger players as they're participating in champions league which is one of the reasons young players are refusing to go to Saudi because that means they can't play on the big stages (champions league). Thought we have club world cup that they can participate in.

While in the first appearance it may look like UEFA is spoiling Champions League by adding weaker teams like those from the Saudi League I think that overall this might be beneficial to all football. The Champions League will become accessible to all continents with this rhythm and more revenue will come to UEFA from TV rights all over the globe. This in football action may result in poorer performance of this new "league" but I am neutral about this as I deep down myself know that 99.99% of the time this new Champions League format will always be won by an European team.

Having a good team, good defense and strategy will be in result scoring as many goals as possible. Sevilla was able defending from so many attacks that have been coming from manchester city. it's more than enough for sevilla to be appreciated. I really appreciate how bono was making so many briliant saves against manchester city. I thought that if sevilla already lost a lot of goals if its goal keeper was not bono but it's likely he will be moving to another club since al hilal has been approaching him recently.
Even though sevilla was playing fully defensive against man city but i do appriacte any efforts that being made by this club to be as good as manchester city. Sevilla was still in the financial crisis. In order to pay off its debt, it seems that the company is resorting to selling off a significant number of its top performers. That being said if sevilla was not in a good condition right now. Congratulation for manchester city by winning its first trophy for this season. Sevilla already tried so hard in beating manchester city but it's not lucky enough in the last penalty shoot.
