There was no party for manchester city to celebrate its first trophy for this season. Pep urges all the players to be fully prepared before the big match against newcastle. The manchester city will be playing against newcastle without KDB.

Sevilla in my opinion performed very well yesterday in their UEFA Super Cup game against their English counterparts Manchester City but were denied by a win in normal time by Cole Palmer's second half goal.
City's performance yesterday was totally unlike them as the team was finding it difficult to create goalscoring chances and that I think is because of the fact that their midfield maestro Kelvin De Bruyne was absent in the game. I used to think that the current Manchester City team was built around Erling Haaland but from what I've seen so far, City is built around De Bruyne and that's why they struggled in his absence since he wasn't their to link the midfield and attack

Sevilla will always perform well in every season, whether in the Spanish League or Europa League, the two teams have strengths in possession and several coaches from the two clubs are also quite detailed in giving directions in each match, that's why these two clubs won last season, even though  Manchester City is left with several players, in my opinion it will not affect the current squad, Sevilla will certainly have trouble overcoming the Manchester City squad when they meet, I'm sure Manchester City will win it..

In the UEFA Super Cup game, I totally agree that Manchester City are missing a lot of creativity in midfield. Two of their best attacking midfielders are out through injury, but Foden and Palmer aren't too shabby either. It was evident that Foden and Palmer could threaten the Sevilla defense in that game even though Haaland didn't have many good chances.

Its all fault of the UEFA for putting this amtch on a window between games in the national leagues, this kind of games had to be played before the starts of normal season.

Overall a team must have a squad that is well connected between one line and another, it's useless for the front line to be so sharp in scoring goals but the wall of defense is unable to withstand attacks from the opposing team. Sevilla have managed to improve after they slumped in La Liga last season. The defeat by Manchester City on penalties does not mean that they played badly, instead they have progressed and are ready to face challenges in the UCL because they have just managed to hold Manchester City to a draw in 90 minutes of normal time.

Manchester City's midfield was not strong. This affects their overall performance. Gundagon has left the team. And their midfield's two most important weapons De Bruyne and Silva were not with the squad. Manchester City's midfield is weak without these two players. I fully agree with your thinking, UEFA is making too many changes to an historic event, the champions league is and must remain only for European clubs, the Saudis have their own champions, everyone stays where they belong! I also don't like the new format of the champions league very much but I keep the considerations at the end of the 24/25 season to give an opinion. The Superleague has now faded but if it were to regain altitude I would be happy to support it, because UEFA's choices are massacring the world of football

The performance of the Sevilla team is truly admirable. Manchester City's performance has been disappointing. The Sevilla team did not really capitalize on the opportunities they had to score.

Having a good team, good defense and strategy will be in result scoring as many goals as possible. Sevilla was able defending from so many attacks that have been coming from manchester city. it's more than enough for sevilla to be appreciated. I really appreciate how bono was making so many briliant saves against manchester city. I thought that if sevilla already lost a lot of goals if its goal keeper was not bono but it's likely he will be moving to another club since al hilal has been approaching him recently.
Even though sevilla was playing fully defensive against man city but i do appriacte any efforts that being made by this club to be as good as manchester city. Sevilla was still in the financial crisis. In order to pay off its debt, it seems that the company is resorting to selling off a significant number of its top performers. That being said if sevilla was not in a good condition right now. Congratulation for manchester city by winning its first trophy for this season. Sevilla already tried so hard in beating manchester city but it's not lucky enough in the last penalty shoot.
