The PSG team has implemented many strategies to do well in the Champions League. But so far it has not been successful. It remains to be seen what kind of changes this season will bring.
The aim of the changes made by PSG is to be even better than last season, but everyone will probably see it next season, because one of the strikers that PSG relied on very often last season will not be seen again next season. So that PSG must be able to replace the vacant position with another player whose talent is not bad so that it can be better suited to the striker who will still survive next season, namely Neymar.
Under Luis Enrique coaching PSG formation and strategy are clearly very different and can be a good change point by not relying on one player, Enrique still has time to emphasize the individual skills of each player and by improving these skills at least the ability to play gives more confidence. Currently, the center attack is not very effective, when clubs like Man City first showed the skill of individual players evenly and the results were quite good. Maybe that's what Enrique wants to implement at PSG, considering that when Mbappe was still around, the game focused more on him than expanding the attack on all sides.

Can't say PSG got more chances this season just because they have Enrique in their team because we all know they lost many superstar players and PSG can't find players like Messi anymore, PSG is even close to losing Mbappe too. I think there is not much chance for PSG to achieve anything in the next champions league.

Friendly matches are not a worth to see games, they were played without fierce, and we see so many tries of players and tactics.

Some games are played with subs players and the one with starters are played without the real energy of a game, no one its gonna risk a injury. Thankfully its gonna end soon this part of the season called pre-season.

Not much people love to watch preseason games because of the perception that they’re just playing for fun and no much energy is been put into the game to win. For some teams it might be so while some other teams use that as an avenue to test their newly signed players or to try out a new tactics. At least, we should be happy that football is back after a long break, preseason will end soon and the real competition will begin soon also.

The pre seasons are good actually. It's a time for clubs to test their strengths. Know what they are good at and what they should improve on. It's a period to chose tactics that work best for the team and how to integrate the players together.
Also, it also create an opportunity for the team to bond, especially when you have new players. The players all fly out to a different country and they stay together for this period. That's a great opportunity for the team to bond and form some chemistry off the pitch which would affect the chemistry of their performance on the pitch.

The reason there is so many subs is because the coach is giving everyone in the team a chance to prove themselves. There are new players, academy players, first team players that are not starters, old players etc all fighting for a spot on the team, so they have to convince the coach that they're worthy to be trusted.
As much as the pre seasons are non competitive games, it's a good way to test how ready a team is.

For Manchester city, I don't know if they can defend the cup back to back, but I would love to see them try. Let it not look as if they cheated, perhaps when they get to the finals again, they would have proved their worth that they are indeed the champions, and it wasn't by mistake they did it.
The jackpot for Manchester City to reach the finals of the champions league will be very high this time. The possibility of that to happens will not be there as it was for them last season, as they did a treble trophy season.
As it is currently, we don't know how formidable Manchester City will be this season, in their matches in the premier league and champions league. Whether are we to expect them to govern and dominate both leagues for a second season in a row? Their output would indicate

It doesn't matter how long PSG have to wait and how much money they have to spend, but as long as they can still qualify for the Champions League every season then as long as they have a chance to win their first title.

Teams like PSG have a better chance because they can build their quality team with experienced and good quality players. Compared to many other teams, I think PSG have been on the list of favorites for the title every season even though they always fall short. There will come a time when PSG can win their first Champions League title, so Luis Enrique might be able to help maintain that chance or maybe he can fulfill PSG's dream of winning his first title.
Numerous teams are warming up for the new season, no time for relenting efforts. The Parisians have had their sights set on the trophy for an extended period of time. Every season is an opportunity to succeed for them to try again and refrain from giving up. As an illustration, Manchester City persevered in their pursuit of the UEFA Champions League trophy; today, they are the reigning champions. PSG requires perseverance and dedication. Luis Enrique would perform better in his new club; he is aware of the team's issues and plans to address them in the upcoming season.

Wagering on pre-season games is definitely not what we expect to happen, in positions to forecast accurate predictions. In preseason games, elite clubs mostly lose to average clubs, that's totally understandable, and it doesn't even surprised me, ready to face the outcomes of these games. In pre-season games, it's consider not important and players do participate for fun. On the other hand of the coach, he utilized his players, giving gametime opportunities for every players in his squad, also a means of selecting the first XI when the season begins.
Pre-season matches are outside the context of the Champions League, so maybe it's not constructive enough to continue the discussion. For Champions League matches, I rarely even bet on qualifying matches, it's too risky for me considering there aren't many teams I really know.

I prefer to bet after the group stage starts until the final match. It's a more reasonable way to earn bets while entertaining yourself with a great game. For next season, I hope Manchester United won't let me down too much in the Champions League. They performed well last season, so Ten Hag should be able to maintain the quality and performance of their team next season.

Friendly matches seem attracting to me mostly when we see some special tournaments are organized in pre-season. We have seen so many of them over the years so far. Such tournaments must include big teams mostly also of course for me to find them interesting. In this case players also make a really good effort as there is a symbolic title at the end too.

Last night there was a really wonderful match between Arsenal and Barcelona which was no different than a match in the Champions League by the way.

This kind of matches give new transfers a big chance to show their skills more comfortably to prove themselves to their coaches for the regular season.

I do not see many strategies that PSG implemented to be able to win the Champions League apart from signing 3 supers stars in the same club and giving one an over priced contract thereby setting the whole team in disarray.

If PSG really want to be prepared for the Champions League challenge they should also look at quality defence and midfield.

Well I think Mbappe never really had respect for his managers and also for his teammates most of the time. The success he had as a young player and the limelight he was in ever since he was 17 or 18, and then all the admiration from fans around the world, he firmly believes he is on a different level, but there are different ways to handle those feelings. Haaland is emphasizing the negative parts of a game but not in a dumb manner, he is doing it being critical with himself and he is very realistic with his analyses. I like that. Mbappe is kind of arrogant sometimes. Now could there be a manager who is a serious authority in the eyes of Mbappe? I think Zidane could be that guy who shows Mbappe immediately who the boss is and who would also try to make him better. Guardiola as well. Mbappe thinks he is above everyone else.

This does not mean that I don't like him as a player. In fact I think he is the best there is today, but ego can prevent him from winning trophies and titles that he would win if he was more down to earth.
Mbappe was given too many privileges in PSG, and that is what has affected his attitude. At any time he wishes to leave, they are always quick to seek for a way to make him stay. He knows how important he is to PSG as they have shown, that is why sometimes his attitude even towards the manager of the club may be disrespectful. PSG should him go, the manager they have is not strong enough to control him. If it was Erik Ten Hag or Pep Guardiola or even Mourinho, coaches who have a successful career and do not want any payer to ruin it, they will be able to control him.

But Mbappe has also become an item of prestige. He is more than just a soccer player. I think when Khelaifi signed Messi, it was the same. It was more about the message to the people and the industry than about Messi's quality as a player. And now the whole drama around the Mbappe transfer looks like the big whales in the game are flexing and showing their strength to each other. PSG already paying money to Mbappe that nobody thought could ever be possible in soccer and now we have to learn that the club that usually got every player they wanted, which is Real Madrid, are now not fighting with Manchester City or Barcelona, but with clubs from Saudi Arabia. Everything has changed.

Watched all of the friendly matches made me feel like i were watching UCL match. It's caused by so many clubs participated in the UCL were facing each other.

Barcelona - Arsenal

Madrid - MU

Bayern - City

All of great matches already happened. It likes those matches were giving me a clue which club that will become most favorite club to win UCL. Manchester City and Real Madrid are doing well by beating Bayern and Manchester United, while Arsenal is also doing well by beating Barcelona.
My prediction if the upcoming UCL will become very competitive. It's great to see so many big matches happening on the same day.

Im not even tiring to watch it. This is a great day.  Cheesy

Pre-season matches cannot be used as a benchmark for team performance when the competition has started, but it cannot be left out that pre-season matches between big teams are very entertaining and provide an interesting spectacle and we can also assess the team's strength a little for next season.

Currently there are several top European teams that have started to rise, especially teams that will compete in the UCL next season. I also believe that next season's UCL will be much more fierce, but yes, it is certain that teams like Real Madrid and Man City will still be the favorites to win. in the next season but do not rule out they will get tough opponents.

The pre-season matches only do well to unveil the players that we may get to see once the league starts.

For Manchester city, I don't know if they can defend the cup back to back, but I would love to see them try. Let it not look as if they cheated, perhaps when they get to the finals again, they would have proved their worth that they are indeed the champions, and it wasn't by mistake they did it.

There is very little time left until the final with Arsenal. Before the final, they will have one more match with Atlético Madrid. Arsenal and Manchester City played good matches in the friendly matches and won. I don't know who is my favorite right now, but I think the team that will win this match is Manchester City.

I would be very happy if that were true (and probably Ronaldo would be very happy too as he was able to continue to improve his perpetual record), but it seems to me that UEFA will never go for it. If players from Europe who left for Saudi Arabia retain the opportunity to play in the Champions League, then the flow there will only increase and the situation in Europe will worsen even more.

If such thing happens I'm pretty confident Ronaldo would postpone his retirement plans if there is any.  Grin  He can start to play more competitive than before surely. He said that he believed the Saudi league to become a much more prestigious league in the future. It looks like he is likely to turn out to be right later on.

Considering how Saudi teams are strengthening their squads they might even be competitive for the Champions League title in the long run maybe who knows. Because they are paying a really huge sum of money for the players they sign and they can increase the bonuses a lot for winning the tournament as well to be more competitive.

But for now this is all an assumption of course. Let's see if UEFA will really do this then.

100%! Sheikhs in 15 years have made a team that dominates the Premier League out of such noname as City. With the kind of investment they're pouring into their league, they can make it this far faster. I fully admit that a couple of top cools from Saudi Arabia will compete for the Champions League title in less than 10 years. And by the way, I would be very pleased with the appearance of new players on this field - I'm very tired of the same participants in the Champions League playoffs every year.

As you said, I often see big clubs losing to clubs that could easily be beaten on strength, but the fact is that in pre-season matches like this, it becomes more difficult. They end up with a lot of draws or even defeats.
I don't deny that I sometimes think about betting on pre-season matches, especially when I have more money to gamble with. Talking about the chances of winning, then it becomes lower than we bet on the same competition, maybe I don't have to say what the reason is for me saying that, because I'm sure we have the same thoughts about this.
They don't look at the final result, what they look at is how they play, and also they don't play the main players full time, but also give young players or players who rarely get a chance to play (second-tier players) the opportunity to be on the field.
All the main players and second tier players have their place in preseason matches like this, so it's not surprising when in the second half their players completely changed from what happened in the first half. So, there is no target to win in a match like this, they just take advantage of the opportunities they get to score goals, but the target is not to win. So indeed, betting on prematch events like this is a very risky bet, because whatever predictions you make don't seem to work at all. But indeed, after all betting is also about luck, so if you keep betting on events like this and then win. So of course you might be said to be a very lucky person.

Betting on friendly matches is very risky. In these matches, the main players of the squad are usually rested. Even if the key players are in the squad, they don't give full effort in the matches. And so many times the favorite team cannot win the friendly match. This is why I always refrain myself from betting on these matches. However, this year's friendly matches are the most interesting. We enjoyed a great match of Bayern Munich vs Manchester City. We also saw 8 goals in the Arsenal vs Barcelona match.

Don't get your hopes up, even I'm not sure that in his first season Enrique was able to bring PSG to win the Champions League trophy. unless, if PSG still has the MNM trio. thus, Enrique only needed to strengthen his team by bringing in some midfielders. plus, some tough defenders. apparently, PSG is ideal under Enrique with a very deep team.

However, now that Messi has left, Neymar's status is doubtful even though he has a chance to survive. Meanwhile, Mbappe is currently in polemic over his decision not to extend his contract. So, Enrique's task is quite tough to bring SPG to lift the championship trophy in this competition. we don't even know for sure which players Enrique will sign. several names of players have been targeted in this transfer window, but so far there has been no concrete action taken by PSG. for example, PSG have held private talks with the Juventus striker. However, PSG also wants to hijack Manchester United's target. So, I don't want to rush to assess the strength map of this French giant team. at least, just wait until this summer transfer window closes.

I also think that people think the same as me, what does Mbappe really want to do so that he doesn't want to extend his contract with PSG and his contract will end next season so that makes PSG feel worried about feeling a loss if Mbappe leaves with free agency, that's why PSG is trying to bench Mbappe but it doesn't look like that will sway Mbappe's decision.

Mbappe's attitude makes many people wonder where he will go next, people always associate him with Madrid, but if there is another club he is aiming for besides Madrid, of course it will be a surprise to everyone where people expect Mbappe to go to Madrid but it turns out to be another club. apart from madrid. but from here people continue to speculate that he will move to Madrid and replace Benzema, I always wait for news about Mbappe. I think Mbappe's relationship with PSG is getting a lot of attention in the media nowadays.
I do not think that he will leave for any other team. It is obvious after he rejected this huge deal that the only thing he wants is to go to Real Madrid, he is going to end up with a situation where it is going to matter a lot and I am guessing that it is going to end up making him play for just one more year here and then he is going to end up with something much better.

It is going to be a bit of a different situation, but that doesn't mean that we are not going to get anything good in the end. Just realize that Mbappe at Real would be a lot better to watch than him being in PSG where he doesn't want to stay. This is why he is going to just waste one more year here and then leave to go there and that's it.

Or even matches like this will be a place for players who don't get many minutes to play to show their abilities and be glimpsed by the coach to be part of the starting line-up later, it's a very possible thing. But until now I rarely see any players who can penetrate the main place from pre-season matches like this, it's not that there aren't any, it's just that we rarely see it. Apart from that, young players can also show their skills in order to break into the main squad, although they may not play the full 90 minutes, but usually they will be substitutions that will bring new colors to the game.

The best option for PSG is to persuade Mbappe to take the deal and move to the Saudi league for a season. The deal would bring in some money for the club and would go a long way in solving lots of issues. And I honestly don’t see Mbappe leaving for Saudi Arabia anytime soon.
There’s no reason why a coach would have his top asset sitting on the bench during games. Whatever issues there is between player and manager, the manager would want to win games and Mbappe could help him do just that. Mbappe is a player that at the moment, can’t be kept in the sidelines.
It is difficult to predict Mbappe future now when you look at the transfer situation involving several wealthy clubs such as Real Madrid, Al Hilal and Chelsea.  all possibilities can happen because PSG will accept offers from any club as long as they meet the set price.  Currently Real Madrid is number one because it is claimed to have made a personal agreement with Mbappe.  Thus PSG current scenario is to sell Mbappe before the transfer window closes, because the contract renewal has been rejected and Mbappe insists on staying at PSG despite being under pressure, not being played all season even though it is detrimental to PSG itself.

It's strange that now PSG and Mbappe are in a difficult situation, on the other hand Real Madrid is in an advantageous position because it is the club that Mbappe wants, by stalling for a little time until the end of August will put PSG management in a big loss position, Madrid will submit a proposal at the right time.  short it and of course the price is no longer in accordance with PSG expect.  If not released then Mbappe will go on a free transfer, Perez is very good at taking advantage of this type of transfer situation.
The PSG team has implemented many strategies to do well in the Champions League. But so far it has not been successful. It remains to be seen what kind of changes this season will bring.
