I think Barcelona will win this game, except this new manager Napoli hired will have an immediate impact.
Barcelona seem to be getting better and they play better recently, if they don't concede cheap goals they might win this game.
Napoli is not a team that plays defensive football and that's an advantage for Barcelona, even if it can be a disadvantage.

It's an advantage in the sense that, Barcelona struggle to score against teams that defend well. They prefer teams that leave spaces behind. But if the team is compact in defense they struggle.
The disadvantage is that, Barcelona doesn't have a solid defense this season so if you press them, they will make silly mistakes and concedes.

Arsenal Vs FC Porto match will start in some minutes time, Arsenal will be anticipating for a win away from home since they defeated Porto in the last match.

Leipzig is coming to Santiago Bernabeu and I don't believe they can compete with Madrid in the pitch, because that is where they used to defeat all of the great clubs they face in the Champions League.

Barcelona will face Napoli this night, and the match will be very interesting because both of them are not performing well this season, but since it is Champions League, I think all of the teams will struggle to win the game, to get the opportunity to qualify to the next round in the competition, but I still believe in Barcelona because they have more players than Napoli, I mean skillful players that can break Napoli's defence if they are not careful, especially Yamal is a very skillful player. I can't forecast Arsenal's game versus Porto because both of them are performing well in the league, and Porto have more experience than Arsenal; they used to play Champions league every season and they can use the experience and defeat arsenal. let see what will happen who will get the opportunity and win the match.

With all these stats that you have given them , it's pretty clear that they were supposed to actually win that game but sometimes football isn't really what we expect and besides PSV is also a good side although it's normally their gameplay in their own league because the champions league is a totally different atmosphere all together and that's why some teams that perform well still finds it hard to perform well in the champions league.

Borussia Dortmund if it were to be in previous seasons, I would want to place some levels of certainty on their ability especially as it has to do with their performance by the next match,  their ability to been able bro get pass the group stage of the champions league I think was as a result of their form earlier which even in their domestic league they were performing well too but then they had their form in a poor shape currently that I doubt their performance but if they are able to get pass this stage, maybe they will be able to get to a good point in the champions league.

The game tonight between Barcelona and Napoli is of great interest to me especially as I saw the news of Victor osimhen as one of the players who will be playing for Napoli tonight, it's going to be his first performance for the team after his return from the AFCON I'm anticipating a good performance from Napoli because it appears their coach is very likely to loose his job soon so he would want to prove he's still capable of handling the teams well enough to get them to a good spot both on their domestic league table and at the champions league where they are facing the not inform Barcelona but then if lewandoski, yamal and Felix are playing then Napoli should expect a tough game ahead tonight.

Manchester City already took their revenge on them last season when they met at the semifinals of the champions league before heading to the finals to play against Inter Milan. This is another season and I feel they will take it as a neutral meeting between the two of them and not anyone of them seeing it as a revenge match. The two teams looks very strong in the champions league and anyone that’s gets to eliminate the other has paved a smooth pathway for themselves to the finals of the competition since they are the only two teams with that potential to make it yo the finals. Let’s wait to see their second leg matches in the round of 16 which I think they will both win without any doubts.

Don't forget Inter who played Man City in last season's final... I think they are even stronger now and look better than Real... Man City are certainly one of the favourites, but they are probably not as strong now as they were last season... I'm not sure they can win the title again for the second season in a row...

Bayern losing to Lazio by a goal in their away match doesn't mean they are away from the Champions League race because there will be a return leg, where Lazio will come to their home to play them.
It is when they have lost to them for the second them, that's when we can properly say that Bayern has been kicked out of the championship league race. But as for now, their hope is much alive to win against Lazio with more than one goal in their home.

And that weaker team will be which team? Last week, Manchester City had a 3-1 away win against Copenhagen, and two weeks from now they will meet the same Copenhagen in Etihad Stadium which automatically gives them the victory since Copenhagen lost to them at their home(1-3), there is no how they would come to Manchester City's home and think of winning them, no matter how the football tactics they come up with.

Dortmund secured an inspiring away draw at PSV is a big advantage for the team,  I think the team would seal a win in the second leg in fortnight, this are clubs some soccer analyst never have any chances of qualifying for the next round yet the club had been performing brilliantly well and the verge of playing quarterfinals of the UCL meanwhile in the other match between Inter Milan vs  Atletico Madrid which ended 1-0 in favor of Inter was a well deserve win for The Nerazzurri whose experience in UCL had helped the team so far this season,  recall the played last year final against Man City and presently possess one of the strongest defence line.

Apart from home advantage, I'm not sure what makes people underestimate PSV in the second leg. In the first leg PSV did not perform as bad as they said and the match statistics prove that. PSV tends to apply more pressure than Dortmund and I don't see them being worse than Dortmund.

Beating Dortmund is certainly not an easy task for PSV, but it is not impossible considering their good performance so far. A draw in the first leg gives them a chance to qualify for the next round, even I can't say Dortmund are favorites at home.



Napoli have lower odds than Barcelona in this match and I think that's deserved. Xavi tried to play Andreas Christensen as a defensive midfielder in this match and put Joao Felix on the bench who was replaced by Pedri as a left winger. Xavi may have to do this because Barcelona's defense tends to be less than good, so instead of 4 defenders Barcelona basically has 5 defenders in this match.

I think that in the second leg, Dortmund really deserve to be at the top, because looking at their match history in the Champions League this season. Apart from that, in terms of depth, Dortmund squad is indeed better, and in the second leg they will also have an advantage because they will act as hosts. In the Bundesliga this season, Dortmund experienced a setback and failed to compete to become a team challenging for the title, but in the Champions League Edin Terzic squad managed to show a different performance, I was very impressed when Dortmund were able to qualify as winners in group F.

In the first leg, Dortmund failed to maintain their lead and had to accept a draw after PSV received a penalty. I think Edin Terzic has to change his strategy in the second leg, and choose the right lineup to be able to secure a ticket to the quarter finals, Sanscho doesn't seem to be performing optimally and is losing a lot of balls. It could be that in the second leg, the two teams will draw again in normal time, or even PSV will have greater luck and be able to beat Dormund.

Borussia Dortmund finished the group which included Paris Saint Germain, Milan and Newcastle United as leaders with 11 points. Their only defeat in this group came from Paris Saint Germain in the first match of the group. Last season they missed the Bundesliga title in the last game, but this season they said goodbye to the race earlier. But they are doing well in the Champions League. Like you, I see them as favorites for the second leg against PSV. Also, I would like to say that the away goal rule has been abolished by UEFA.

Inter Milan vs Athletico Madrid in the UCL Round of 16 was one very anticipated match especially because both teams play similar kind of football. Not just that and also as this was the first major teams for both teams especially after having a successful group stage phase. Talking about both teams playing same pattern, you can see both teams have same kind of quality and play almost same formation but Inter Milan proves to be the better because of how they’re performing excellently in their legaue as compared to Athletico. This fixture was evenly contested though Inter escaped with a narrow win.

 This narrow win now gives Inter the confidence of going to the 2nd leg in Spain. In the first leg, The Spanish Club weren’t able to dominate at all neither did they’ve any shot on target to threaten the goalie of Inter Milan. With this kind of statistics, I think Inter should already be seen as qualified. Inter will just need to come to the 2nd leg and play a defensive football with their composed defense line and midfield and have high hopes in their fast paced attackers to get them maybe a win or at least play out a draw. For this reason my safe bet will be on double chancing Inter Milan, as they have the better confidence and team in this fixture.

 Now Inter are sitting comfortably on top of their league and that’ll give them the liberty to foucs more on the UCL especially as they’re trying to make up for losing out on the final of the UCL last season. With this I think and believe Inter will sure be able to oust Athletico Madrid with a prefect gameplan at Spain. Athletico Madrid aren’t looking to sharp in the attack as they’ll probably have to put in greater work if they want to stand a chance against Inter Milan.

The way Manchester City and Real Madrid are in the same knockout level is a big set up, I can see that in the phase 1 of this knockout, Manchester City has netted 3 goals and there is no any doubt about it thag they are going to remove Copenhagen because the aggregate is 2 goals lead, if they meet next time, Manchester City will finish them. As for Real Madrid, they have only win 1 goal, it's possible for them to struggle in the hands of Leipzig.

If the two of them finish the knockout successfully, Real Madrid and Manchester City will meet and it's going to be another harsh game. The game is going to be one of the most watch Champions League match because the two of them are representing their leagues, but I have believed in Manchester City to beat Real Madrid, this is the perfect time for them to take revenge of what happened in the last 2 years Champions league on how they were eliminated.

This is a different competition, Champions League for that matter, where a well inform team in their league side comes to play, and they get thrashed, Therefore, do not compare what happened in the Premier League game to possibly affect the outcome of their match against Porto tonight, FC Porto is an experienced Champions League team side, despite Arsenal being in a good form lately, but they won't find this game easy to win. I kind of think that the chances of FC Porto holding them to a draw is very possible.

If you look at how Arsenal played the last games against strong teams away, like Liverpool, PSV or Aston Villa, they could not win any of these matches. And Porto can undoubtedly be called a home team, so I don’t expect a major victory for Arsenal in this match, and I’m also not sure that Arsenal will be able to beat Porto.
In the match between Barcelona and Napoli, I would give preference to Xavi’s team, because Napoli were unable to show almost anything meaningful in the last games.

The game is still very much open, Atletico Madrid can still fight their way into the game and try to qualify for the next round. Both teams did their best but Inter was more better and and were at the advantage of playing of at home and were lucky to have won the game. They are currently in good form but that is not a guarantee for them that they would easily beat Atletico Madrid, they need to be very serious in the second leg else they may end losing the game because Atletico Madrid would be playing at home.

Arsenal is in good shape currently and it now looks like they have bounced back from their drop of form, they have been winning matches and with this form FC Porto needs to be extra serious and elevate their performance in this game. Penetrating a team’s defense is not a problem for Arsenal so Porto needs to be careful in this game.

The chances of each team will be different in the Champions League each season. It all depends on the depth of the squad, the team's performance and its best players. Real Madrid has some of the most decisive players, they are Rodrygo, Vinicius and Jude Bellingham. This makes Real Madrid the favorite and overall Real Madrid has a squad that deserves to win it.

Apart from Real Madrid, I think Manchester City is a team that also has a high chance of winning the Champions League title this season. Pep Guardiola plans to defend the title, but so far only Real Madrid has been able to do so in the last decade. I hope Manchester City and Real Madrid won't meet quickly in the Champions League this season, they might deserve to meet in the final instead of the quarter finals or semi finals.

Barcelona is the 4th team to qualify for the round of 16 this season from La Liga. Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid have lost the first legs against PSG and Inter and they will have to decide their fate at home in the second leg. Meanwhile, Barcelona has a good chance of winning the first leg but the team's less consistent performance made most people doubt them. Interesting to look forward to, I think Barcelona will win.
