Win for Inter but in the second leg in Spain it will be a different story.

1-0 is a good result but very open to for a comeback.

Dortmund almost became German champions last year and only some sort of curse prevented them from beating Bayern. So Dortmund is a very strong team that can play on equal footing with the strongest groups, which is proved by the fact that from the group with PSG, Newcastle and Milan they went to 1/8 Champions League.

They should have won the match with PSV, but the referee awarded an extremely controversial penalty, which should not have been awarded, because the Dortmund player played into the ball, not into the feet of the PSV player and because of the referee's mistake Dortmund lost 3 points.
Dortmund is not a strong challenger and they always fail to be the best even though the hope to get success is in sight. The Dortmund group phase managed to escape but I am not sure they can go further because their appearance is sometimes less consistent. Moreover, the Champions League is very competitive and very different from the domestic league, so the competition here will be far more difficult than in the domestic league.

A draw at home to PSV Eindhoven is indeed very beneficial for Dortmund because in the second leg they can pursue goals at home. If you look at the opportunity in the match Dortmund should be able to score more than one goal but not put to good use. PSV Eindhoven managed to master the game and dominated the match better than Dortmund but unfortunately unable to add goals.

It’s good that this is only the first match and this penalty was not decisive. I think that a draw in an away match is not the worst result, of course they would like to win away, but after this match PSV is in a more difficult situation, since the match in Germany will definitely be more difficult for them. This is not the first time that a referee's error has affected the final result. In the second match, Inter managed to beat Atletico, I didn’t expect that they could win, I expected that the match would end in a draw. Now Atletico will have to correct the situation in Madrid...

PSV and Dortmund both performed well. A 1-1 draw was a fitting result for this match. To be honest, I expected such a result in this match. My prediction was that the match would be a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. Because both groups are very similar. You cannot consider any group as weak.

A draw in the away match is a good result for Dortmund. However, it is uncertain whether Dortmund will be able to play well in the home match. However, the team is in good form now. Dortmund have more chances to win the home match. I like their match strategy. Although they didn't attack much, every attack they made was very sharp.

I think both results were expected, what do you think? To tell the truth Dortmund could have won as well despite not being favoured by bookmakers. But they couldn't prevent the equalizer. Still this is a decent result to finish the job at Signal Iduna Park, right? I think so because there is technically an obvious quality difference between these teams.

I got really bored while watching the Inter v Atletico Madrid one.  Sad  I thought that we would see at least 3 goals and Inter would win by 2-1 at worst. The result could have been worse for Atletico Madrid actually because they were really ineffective here. They just went there to secure a draw obviously.

Atletico Madrid have tried to do their best, but it must be admitted that Inter Milan has slightly better strength and because Inter Milan plays at home, their motivation and self-confidence is greater than Atletico Madrid.
I think Atletico Madrid's 1 goal defeat is not too difficult for Atletico Madrid to turn things around because Atletico Madrid will play at home in the second leg so they still have a chance.

Overall Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan do not have a significant difference in quality so in the round of 16 the match between these two teams is very difficult to predict.
I disagree, Inter completely dominating in this match despite they only score one goal. It's shame to see Atletico Madrid, they were able to fight against Real Madrid which one of toughest club in the world, but they can't resist against Inter.

Inter could score more than one if they're lucky enough, I don't expect Atletico Madrid to win in the second leg, they're on a different level.
Inter Milan defeated Atletico Madrid yesterday because Inter Milan played better than Atletico Madrid and created so many chances. Inter Milan has been consistent this season, both in Italy's Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. Inter Milan might share the point with Atletico Madrid when they play the second leg.

Correct. From the current condition of the 2 teams, I think a draw is very fair for both teams. The reason is that PSV Eindhoven in terms of performance this season is much better, even in the domestic league they are unbeatable. Meanwhile, in my opinion, Borussia Dortmund's performance this season is less stable and even tends to be inconsistent. So a draw is still good for Dortmund to be able to turn things around in the second leg which will be played at home. I even think that PSV should have won this match in the first leg because PSV dominated most of the match and could have scored 3-1 if they had taken advantage of opportunities more effectively.

Inter vs Atletico Madrid
   1     -        0

Look how Inter really didn't give any chance for Atletico Madrid to attack.

Atletico Madrid seemed to be really frustrated because they were so hard to attack to Inter's  defense. Actually, Both Atletico Madrid and Inter did great job, but in this case, Inter did much better in attacking. they are more offensive although they actually also faced some difficulties during the match.

Inter Milan performs far better than Atletico Madrid; if it weren't for the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, who made numerous saves, I believe Inter Milan would have scored more goals. I was expecting the match ending in a draw because both teams are strong this season and Inter Milan is still aiming to win the Seria A championship. In the Champions League as well as Seria A, Inter Milan is still playing well. I thought Atletico Madrid's performance would be stronger after Morata replaced Saul Ñíguez in the second half, but they appear to be struggling to attack Inter Milan. I hope to see them perform more than this at home in their second leg.

Borusia Dortmund did appeared to me like they were going to win this game but then they ended the game in a draw, taking a look at how the group stage games were like for them, they had tough teams around them yet Dortmund was still able to finish top of the group which could means they were actually a good team and in this match facing PSV who isn't a weak team wasn't an easy one because PSV did played well too.

Dortmund's performance against PSV was still amazing; they took the lead in the first half of the match, D. Malen scored in the 23 minutes of play; sadly, the match ended in a draw because of the penalty. Dortmund plays a really good game, despite that PSV is the hosts and they are not a weak team, I think Dortmund will qualify to the next round, i believe they will win their next game at home.

Regardless of what happens, the final result 1-1 is very profitable for Dortmund who will play the second leg at home.
PSV has actually made maximum efforts but the quality of the Dortmund team is slightly better than PSV so the results of this series are not surprising.

And for the Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid match, it was very fierce, even though Inter Milan won the match, they couldn't completely calm down because they only had a 1 goal lead, making it possible to be chased by Atletico who will play at home in the second leg.

My guess is only one of all the matches presented last night but that doesn't change the results of my multibet win. However, I have to cash out this win because there is a match in another league which is still going on in a few days. Grin

I bet a draw no bet for Dortmund and as we know the result is the same 1-1 draw. I think this result is still quite decent considering that Dortmund is playing away from home in the first leg and PSV also doesn't want to lose like that against a more experienced team like Dortmund. A goal from Donyell Malen and a penalty kick from Luke De Joong made the score a draw and in fact the result could still have changed if the existing opportunities had been converted better.

On the other hand, I am happy that Inter has still proven their consistency so far and playing in front of their fans has no doubts at all about securing victory. We know that Atletico in the Champions League is very strong and they put much more pressure when trying to gain an advantage. But unfortunately Inter's defense was very strong in this match so they had a lot of trouble. Morata also came on in the second half but was unable to change any results and instead Arnautovic managed to score the winning goal for Inter in the 79th minute. This result means Inter have a slight aggregate advantage in the second leg.

Inter Milan Vs Atletico Madrid yesterday was an interesting game from both sides. Another good performance from Inter at the san siro what they did yesterday especially to a very good Atletico Madrid side was very interesting. Inter Milan would have scored more than just one goal but in football that is part of the game it's a very big advantage to them  especially on round of sixteen stage getting a win at home it is very crucial, Inter Milan win have given them chances of progressing to the quarter finals if they can put up a performance like they did last night at Atletico Madrid's home. Atletico Madrid midfield didn't put a good performance compared to Inter Milan midfield and I think
Diego simeone would have played both Griezmann and morata up front because it was difficult for Llorente on that position,The second leg will be more interesting.

Atletico Madrid's performance against Inter Milan was not that good yesterday. Atletico Madrid managed to have seven attempts with no shot on target, which even made Inter Milan's goalkeeper more relaxed. If Inter Milan can stop Atletico Madrid from scoring in their return match, I think Inter Milan will qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Now you can think like that, but Atletico Madrid themselves will also make a little evaluation of themselves before they play the second leg match with Inter Milan. Because Atletico Madrid also won't want to be complacent about the defeat they experienced in the first leg yesterday, so the second leg could quite possibly be a very fierce match for them in order to qualify for the next round even though Inter Milan themselves already have a little capital which they got yesterday in first leg.

Did you believe Atletico Madrid would defeat Inter Milan even in the second leg of the match? That won't happen, and even if it does, it won't be in an easier way. Given how the match played yesterday and how Inter Milan has performed this season, it will be extremely difficult for Atletico Madrid to defeat Inter Milan. The match was very tough, as I expected, and both teams are very good goal scorers, but Inter Milan is more astute than Atletico Madrid in this regard. You can tell from the game that Inter takes the game very seriously and creates plenty of scoring opportunities.

I am aware that Atletico Madrid's second leg match will take place at home, which will give the team confidence that they can win. Home games typically benefit the team playing at home, but sometimes a poor performance hurts a team playing at home. The second leg of the match will be challenging, but regardless of the outcome, it will be extremely difficult for Atletico Madrid to win, even if they do manage to score even one goal.
Actually the performance of Atletico Madrid last night was terrible, I think this was their worst performance I have seen them in throughout this year champions league, just look at the stat, Atletico Madrid had no shot on target, but I still feels like due to the fact that inter Milan fail to kill this game off, Atletico Madrid can still come back into the game in the reverse fixtures of this contest.

Though this contest is still very open, it just one nil, so their is a high possibility that Atletico Madrid can turn this tie around in their home turf, but if inter Milan can put in the same performance as yesterday, I didn't think they can be defeated by Atletico Madrid.

PSV gets the chance for the final kick.
The result for this moment is 1 : 1
And in the end PSV was able to match Dortmund's game. It's quite unfortunate here, once again Dortmund made mistakes that weren't really necessary. Meanwhile, for now, it is quite difficult for them to attack PSV to their crucial line. And now, conditions are getting even more difficult when the match is a draw. The results will be even more worrying because PSV sometimes gives unpleasant surprises to their opposing clubs.
The match between PSV and Dortmund was extremely difficult tonight since I wasn't expecting Dortmund to get the first goal, but they made a valiant attempt and dominated the first goal in the opening half. Because I know Dortmund isn't very strong, I was hoping PSV will win the match, but I'm not sure if it would end in a draw. PSV was also fortunate in that they attempted to improve their performance in the second half; otherwise, they would not have been able to level. Honestly, Dortmund played the match with a really serene mind; they truly wanted to win against PSV. They attempted to take advantage of PSV's poor performance in first half, that they would be easily defeated, but it was not occur. PSV prevented them from winning the match that's why they put much effort and make the match ended in draw.

As previously thought, Inter would take advantage of the home match to win in the first leg. Marko Arnautovic goal gave Inter Milan a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, this result is certainly an important asset for Inter heading into the quarter-finals. Atletico were not able to do much in this match, Inter managed to lock them up with a very brilliant game. Inter's appearance this season is more competitive after reaching the Champions League Final last season. A performance like this is an important asset for Inter to win the UCL title, it is very realistic to be able to reach the final round again if they are able to maintain their performance.
A win is of course a strong position for the second game on March 13 in Madrid. It is a close result, so one goal from madrid and it is all ok again, so I expect Inter Milan to be very defensive and if Atletico risk more, Inter Milan will take the chance and get the ticket to the next round. I see them as one of the favorites to win the CL this year, they are not the best, but one of the best 3 teams in my opinion. Arnautovic scored such an important goal at the age of 34, and if you think about his stats, he has only played 8 games in the Champions league so far and scored 3 goals.

Inter won in a dramatic way because throughout the match so many opportunities failed to become goals. In my opinion, even though not many goals were scored it was really entertaining to see both teams giving each other attacks on the opponent's defense line, Oblak managed to secure several dangerous kicks into the goal. He should have gotten MOTM in this match even though he lost he was praised for his solid goalkeeping. Inter themselves  usually play tough but in this match they looked aggressive and able to adapt to Atletico Madrid style of play. Apart from that, Martinez missed many opportunities, he repeatedly failed to execute even though he was without a guard. Inter got the 3 points they deserved because they didn't stop  fighting to break down Atletico Madrid's defense.

Seeing Inter's game in this match, it feels like Inter will qualify for the next round. Inter Milan's game is getting more solid and developing, just extraordinary. Arnautovic was just a little unlucky with his chances, even though he managed to score Inter's winning goal, it must be admitted that Arnautovic had many chances but his finishing was still poor.

However, Arnautovic's last few matches have been quite good, from possession of the ball today against Atletico he was quite good, it's just that his confidence needs to be improved, if he scores again in the second leg then he will be more confident.

Good results even though they are not yet safe, Inter must not be arrogant and remain focused, hopefully they can get good results in the second leg. Because overall Inter played well, be careful during the second leg because Inter only needs a draw to qualify for the next round.
Inter Milan's performance was quite impressive, but unfortunately they were only able to score 1 goal and they missed quite a lot of opportunities to convert them into goals.
Agg advantage of 1 goal is actually not profitable for Inter Milan because in the second leg match, Atletico Madrid, who will play at home, will have higher self-confidence with full support from their supporters and logically, Agg 1 goal is not a difficult thing to catch.

For me it was Inter that should have won with a better result yesterday night although a win is always a win.Now they have complicated a lot their return game as they need to defend really well and hope for some counter attack to end the game.Atletico on the other hand will go all in in the return leg and try to win it.This is wide open as a game, much more than the Dortmund game which I see them easily winning their return leg.

1 goal lead is not enough for Dortmund to secure the win today. They have to score more if they want to qualify. Am saying this because i still see more pressing from their opponents and care is not taken we might see an equalising goal from PSV.

Although i have placed my bet on Dortmund to win but with multiple of goals of 3. So i am still expecting to see more goals, each specifically from both teams.

The game is away for Borussia Dortmund so winning even with one goal difference will be good.
Right now PSV Eindhoven player de Jong scored a goal from a penalty and it is 1 - 1 right now. This will make things more complicated for Borussia Dortmund especially seeing the odds how shifted drastically from Dortmund being favourite before PSV goal and after it being less favourite..
Perhaps now you will know why i said that 1 goal was not enough. Because i know that sooner PSV would score and if they score there will a slight chances for Dortmund to win the match. And just exactly like i predicted that is what happened. The game ended  a draw when Dortmund had chances to have make it 2 during the second half.

I dont know some teams can be so relentless after scoring their first goal they all fall back to defend. Yes, it is the instruction from their coach but it is not a wise decision in my own observation. Bringing your opponents closer to your post gives them high hope and a chance to score you. This is what happened yesterday, even if the goal did not come directly something like a free kick, penalty may come up that will lead to goal.

However, Arnautovic's last few matches have been quite good, from possession of the ball today against Atletico he was quite good, it's just that his confidence needs to be improved, if he scores again in the second leg then he will be more confident.
What makes you think he lacks confidence though? He's quite composed and realized he could do better based on his interview. He mentioned his injury and stuff like that so I don't think he's facing some confidence crisis, not to mention his form in the recent matches is quite good as you said[1]. I think he's been doing fine for a 34-year-old who doesn't really have solid game time due to injury etc[1].

I mean that's true for almost every match where a team played terribly, especially if they don't create any shot on targets at all. I think this is more of a mental issue IMO, considering how some teams perform well even in an away match. A 1 goal difference is definitely going to impact how the 2nd game will go, I'd be surprised if ATM doesn't play a high-pressing game to score as soon as possible so they can switch the momentum to their side ASAP.
