I know it is not easy to win against Italian clubs at their home ground, but Atletico Madrid could have done better against Inter Milan yesterday. There is hope for Atletico Madrid to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League if they improve their performance when Inter Milan visits them at home and also defeat them by two goals to nothing.

Seeing Inter's game in this match, it feels like Inter will qualify for the next round. Inter Milan's game is getting more solid and developing, just extraordinary. Arnautovic was just a little unlucky with his chances, even though he managed to score Inter's winning goal, it must be admitted that Arnautovic had many chances but his finishing was still poor.

However, Arnautovic's last few matches have been quite good, from possession of the ball today against Atletico he was quite good, it's just that his confidence needs to be improved, if he scores again in the second leg then he will be more confident.

Good results even though they are not yet safe, Inter must not be arrogant and remain focused, hopefully they can get good results in the second leg. Because overall Inter played well, be careful during the second leg because Inter only needs a draw to qualify for the next round.

How can you say that? did you mean play away is an easy task? come one my friend. Atletico madrid was playing away and it was being so far from what i have expected. I thought atletico madrid could lost with more than three goals but it's not happening. It proves that if atletico madrid was capable enough to handling the club to fully defensive against intermilan.
Intermilan is the strongest club and this is my main reason to say that if atletico madrid was lucky enough to have only conceded 1 goal against intermilan. I could be more than it and this is also giving atletico madrid more advantage rather than conceded a lot of goals.

Intermilan could be scored as manmy goals as possible but i must admit that both of clubs have very strong defensive lines. This is why intermilan was also feeling so difficult to scored more goals against atletico madrid. I was not even expecting that atletico madrid lost with narrow score agianst intermilan
It was obviously a miracle for atletico madrid caused by this club is able performing even better than last season. The chance owned by atletico madrid to go to the next round is big enough.

Inter vs Atletico match, I have previously written about it in several posts. this match made me a little suspicious after I tried to research and analyze it. and yeah, Inter won the match at San Siro, their home ground. referring to the course of the match, Inter dominated possession of the ball and opportunities. however, Inter were more aggressive in the second half with 62% ball possession, 11 total shots, 3 on target, 3 big chances, and one chance that was converted well into a goal. tactically, Inter is better than Atletico Madrid. as usual, Simone Inzaghi's patterns and systems are quite readable. in short, this match was as I expected, Inter won 1-0 on aggregate. in the second leg which will be held at the Metropolitano, sometimes ATM. the squad must reverse the situation and overthrow Inter at home to Atletico Madrid.



PSV vs Borussia Dortmund. this match, as I predicted in the previous post. if I don't choose one of these two teams. referring to the odds available for this match, it is clear that there is something odd for me. after I searched and researched. the results of my analysis, this match will not produce many goals from both teams. and yeah, the result of this match was a draw with a score of 1-1. referring to the course of the match, Dortmund should have been able to maintain their lead after Donyell Malen scored a goal in the 24th minute. in the second half, PSV benefited from a kick from the penalty spot, which ultimately saved them from defeat and equalized the score at 1-1. previously, the estimate was Under 3.25 with odds @1.74. and yeah, the results of both matches last night matched my estimates.

However, unfortunately the 1-0 lead was not safe for Inter Milan, whose second match had to go to Atletico Madrid's home ground, and to be honest, seeing this result made Atletico Madrid the favorite to advance to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, because even though in this first match Atletico didn't seem good against Inter Milan because they didn't even have a single shot on target but the home factor in the second match would give Atletico more of an advantage.
I actually find it quite strange that Inter Milan was only able to win by a narrow score, they should have scored at least two goals because with a two goal lead it would have put even more pressure on Atletico. In the second match, Inter Milan had to continue playing aggressively to at least make the match end in a draw.

And Dortmund just drawing against PSV isn't that bad because the second match will be the deciding factor and Dortmund still has a bigger chance of qualifying, and I'm pretty sure Dortmund will qualify for the next round.

Even if they don't win the UCL cup, I'm sure they will try hard to reach the final again. Inter are a great team and beating a team like Atletico with such a dominant game proved to the world how good they are. Imter is definitely one of the biggest favorites for Serie A and UCL.

I disagree, Inter completely dominating in this match despite they only score one goal. It's shame to see Atletico Madrid, they were able to fight against Real Madrid which one of toughest club in the world, but they can't resist against Inter.

Inter could score more than one if they're lucky enough, I don't expect Atletico Madrid to win in the second leg, they're on a different level.

Inter Milan created many opportunities and they only converted one of them to the only and winning goal. They should finish those chances better to have a safer advantage before a second match in Spain. It's a little disappointment from this winning but the match ends and they can celebrate the winning. Meanwhile, after celebration and a next match, they can sit down and build up a properly plan for a second match.

Atletico Madrid will become stronger and more dangerous at their home stadium and I believe Inter Milan will not have an easy and comfortable match in Spain. Oblak had a great match for Atletico Madrid and he will continue to be a foundation for his club to win against Inter Milan in an aggregated result.

Now you can think like that, but Atletico Madrid themselves will also make a little evaluation of themselves before they play the second leg match with Inter Milan. Because Atletico Madrid also won't want to be complacent about the defeat they experienced in the first leg yesterday, so the second leg could quite possibly be a very fierce match for them in order to qualify for the next round even though Inter Milan themselves already have a little capital which they got yesterday in first leg.

Atletico Madrid have tried to do their best, but it must be admitted that Inter Milan has slightly better strength and because Inter Milan plays at home, their motivation and self-confidence is greater than Atletico Madrid.
I think Atletico Madrid's 1 goal defeat is not too difficult for Atletico Madrid to turn things around because Atletico Madrid will play at home in the second leg so they still have a chance.

Overall Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan do not have a significant difference in quality so in the round of 16 the match between these two teams is very difficult to predict.

I don't know what happened to Atletico Madrid but in that match the Atletico Madrid squad seemed to lose their accuracy. At the beginning of the first half Atletico Madrid had a chance but well their shooting accuracy was really a big problem in the match. While Inter Milan actually also had more good chances. But we have to appreciate J. Oblak as a goalkeeper who I thought was really great in the match. Because he is always able to read the movement of the direction of the ball that will be shot by Inter MIlan players. If not J. Oblak I think Atletico Madrid could concede a few more goals. But the goalkeeper's saving action was extraordinary.

I already guessed Inter Milan would excel in the match. So this result is not surprising at all. It's just that Atletico Madrid did play below their usual performance.

That's bad resuid for PSV. I ain't say that's good result and why? it's caused by PSV was unable to win the game against dortmund when it was playing at home. This gives dortmund more advantages when it will be facing the second leg. Let's talk about the truth that if dortmund was fully dominating the game.
Ths second leg is going to be another disaster for the PSV, dortmund has very good record when it was playing away. It can be seen from how dortmund was able leaving from the match that would be giving the club a lot of disadvantage. I do support dortmund in the next leg.
The next match is not going to be easy match for dortmund and im sure about this. Theoricallym PSV has greater chance to win the game but it's unable to do that.


The next match is going to be another good match for dortmund. The club can only win with narrow score and it will be qualifying for the next stage. it will not so difficult to beat PSV again.
PSG needs a miracle to win against dortmund when it was playing at home. it's caused by this club is always performing crazily at home. It reminds me of the match between it and some good teams in the group stage.

Atletico Madrid's performance against Inter Milan was not that good yesterday. Atletico Madrid managed to have seven attempts with no shot on target, which even made Inter Milan's goalkeeper more relaxed. If Inter Milan can stop Atletico Madrid from scoring in their return match, I think Inter Milan will qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Actually the victory over one goal is not really secure Inter Milan for second leg match, since home and away goals format in Champion League removing there are not really important when second leg match Inter scored goal against Atletico Madrid but they loss aggregate have to continue penalty kick. But not bad capital lead one goal and for second leg match Inter Milan can play full defensive and get match result draw have been enough for securing quarter final ticket.
Too early for predicting Inter Milan has opportunity will lead to final round in Champion League competition back to back because last season Inter got luckiness with easily opponent teams in drawing schedule since 16 of round until final round. I can't sure if possibility Inter Milan has to face Real Madrid or Manchester City in the quarter or semifinal round can defeat both strong team for qualifying to final round.

As previously thought, Inter would take advantage of the home match to win in the first leg. Marko Arnautovic goal gave Inter Milan a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, this result is certainly an important asset for Inter heading into the quarter-finals. Atletico were not able to do much in this match, Inter managed to lock them up with a very brilliant game. Inter's appearance this season is more competitive after reaching the Champions League Final last season. A performance like this is an important asset for Inter to win the UCL title, it is very realistic to be able to reach the final round again if they are able to maintain their performance.

An interesting match between psv vs dortmund but in my opinion psv holding dortmund is good enough because in terms of quality and squad dortmund is better. but in leg 2 psv will experience difficulties because psv must play in dortmund's home but psv is still possible to make a surprise even though playing away in dortmund's home.

However, this did not last long and after achieving a draw with Liverpool the mentality of Arsenal players dropped a little and they experienced several defeats, but in the second half of the season they were in very good performance. I think Mikel Arteta has motivated his players to return to their best performance. like at the start of this season so they are back competing fiercely in the competition they are facing and it is true that in the last few matches Arsenal have achieved satisfactory results and the players are starting to be active in attacking and this is a very good improvement because I want to see Arsenal putting enough pressure tough on Porto in tomorrow's match.

Porto's group phase was not smooth even though they were in second place, but the points Porto and Barcelona have are the same, namely 12 points, so both are still considered to have equal performance, while Arsenal themselves came out as group winners by collecting 13 points, slightly better than Porto, but yes. The competition between the two is different, but I am quite sure that Arsenal's current performance is no longer in doubt, especially looking at the odds. Of course, Arsenal is the favorite to win this match, but because this is an away match for Arsenal, we also have to be careful because the home team usually put pressure bigger on the visiting club.

I can also say that Inter Milan are not saved because if they won yesterday’s match against Atletico Madrid in a home game, what will they expect when they come for the second leg? Even though we know that yesterday’s game was a bit interesting, until the moment that Arnautovic won the first goal for Inter Milan, that was what made me feel somehow because Atletico Madrid are just playing a defending game, but Inter Milan keep attacking but also have their defence intact. I even taught Atletico Madrid to definitely equalise; it was so hard for them because they were not even able to make a single shot on target towards the net of their opponents.

But it is now a past story. What we are expected to look forward to is their second leg, which I know Atletico Madrid will never make easy on Inter Milan since there are even play and away game, not like this one that is a home game for Inter Milan, so I know Inter Milan will come ready so that they can make it to the quarterfinals, but I can say it will be very hard for Inter Milan to have such luck on Atletico Madrid, but say less. It is just a game; anything can happen. 

This is why the defensive line of atletico madrid was not so solid compared to the intermilan. Intermilan was about consistently attacking atletico madrid even though it was trying so hard to defense but as you can see that intermilan has better quality in term of defensive line compared to the atletico madrid.
I think that there will be no difference for the second leg. It will keep perform so badly against intermilan. Inter was not only solid but it has also very good chemistry. Having some great players which are great in doing long pass was helping the club a lot.
Interimlan has been owning atletico madrid. Diego simeone has no clue about how to beat intermilan. The club must be trying so hard in the second leg to beat it. The good thing if atletico madrid was losing with narrow score against intermilan.
Playing at home will become the best place to do revenge against intermilan. intermilan is very very strong club. It has very good performance in term of defense against its opponent. Im feeling so damn good with the performance from intermilan. it feels ike that this is one of major club.
Intermilan may potentially win UCL this season as long as it can beat atletico madrid in the second leg.

It is going to be a hot contested 2nd leg game between Atletico Madrid and  Inter Milan on Metropolitano. Inter clearly played better than the visiting side, creating more opportunities. Jan Oblak was busy most of the time. And the goal was scored after Oblak failed to properly collect the ball. Can't say who would come victorious.
PSV too played well creating more chances than Dortmund but failed to score. The goal from Malen for Dortmund was an impressive one while the penalty awarded for PSV was not actually a penalty worthy tackle. Anyway, Dortmund would still have an advantage of tie with their home game left to play. I'm quite sure Dortmund would make it further.
