Spanish teams were the teams that believed in it to the end in their respective groups and this outlines the fact that Spain can boast of still having one of the best championships, but for me the best of all remains the Premier League. However, I want to point out that as second qualifiers there are 4 teams that are real loose cannons like PSG, Inter, Naples and Porto, they are not easy opponents to beat so we would have 4 good matches already from the round of 16. I would like to see Arsenal - Inter but obviously we will find out on Monday after the draw

I don't care how many La Liga and Premier League teams qualify for the round of 16 because ya, I think the judgment will still be at the end about which team win the trophy. After all, although La Liga teams have more teams which qualifying for the round of 16 at this moment but ya, ofcourse, not all of that 4 teams will also be able to reach the semi-finals and finals match later.

After all, they are also in groups that have varied opponents, meaning, not all La Liga teams are in difficult groups or hell groups in that group phase. With that, then I think whatever teams qualify for the round of 16, but I don't think it can be said to be the best league completely either.

In my opinion all the leagues in Europe are the best leagues in the world, apart from one of them, perhaps the English League where competition between clubs is more difficult, even weak clubs are not easily defeated by strong teams. In La Liga due to the team unstable finances there are only a few top clubs that often win trophies. In the EPL it is clear that the competition for trophies is more different and maybe that is one of the reasons why the English League is called the Best League in the world. It's not usual for Newcastle to play at home as slow as last night, maybe I assume the players are tired so the game is not optimal but with a one-goal lead can hope to maintain until the end but obviously it's not certain and it's true that in the second half Milan was more offensive in attack with several almost goals by Rafael Leao.

The season was not in their side. If not, last season was good for Newcastle. They beat top teams last season.

Here is an example of how fluctuation played against me (and my butt is still burning from this haha). I very accurately guessed the value of some outcomes - the victory of Chelsea (it was the beginning of October and it was not an obvious outcome at all), the victories of Real Madrid and Arsenal with a handicap. I added the game with City to increase the overall coefficient and in the end it was the one that ruined everything!

As for Inter, there are no rational explanations, but this result fits into the general pattern: Spanish teams won 4 groups out of 5 (degraded Seville spoiled the ideal statistics with its presence). Maybe this year we will see a comeback of Spanish football because neither England, nor Germany, nor Italy showed even close to a similar result and lost many of their representatives already in the group stage?

On December 18, we’ll see which pairs will be in the 1/8, some of them will obviously be interesting, since among the second places there are easy (for top clubs) options like Copenhagen or Porto, but there are also harder ones like PSG, Inter or Napoli.
I fully admit that Real will, as always, immediately face the strongest opponent, so I will hope that by February the injured players will be back in action. It's funny, but even with so many injured players, Real won the group with a 100% result for the first time in 9 years. I hope this is a sign

Premier League is an overrated league, they consider it's the best league since the cash flow is higher compared to other league. In La Liga only few teams are rich, that's make the competitions between the top 10 teams are really far compared to Premier League.

If La Liga isn't the best league, why Real Madrid has the highest titles in UCL? why the most popular rivalry is El Clasico?

Antwerp always be lose in the last 5 matches in champion league and they even have to conceded 17 goals total even Barcelona in the first meeting can able to win with big scores against this team but for 6th matches unfortunately Barcelona seems doesn't considers the match against Antwerp is important match this because according to Barcelona starting lineup Xavi was played some of reserved players and he was rested some of Barcelona key players just like Joao Felix

Apparently Xavi doesn't really care the outcomes of this match whether it win or lose and indeed although Barcelona have already to qualified to round of 16 but they should be more serious to facing this match because Antwerp is a weak team and Barcelona shouldn't be lose from them but Barcelona has important match on Laliga so Xavi want to ensure some of Barcelona players in the good fitness and after qualified from this competition he want to more focus to their domestic league especially after last week Barcelona lose from Girona Xavi want Barcelona will return to winning ways soon

The biggest surprise for me was the Real Sociedad, not only for reaching the round of 16 in this Champions League, but also for being the first in their group, when this tournament started i think they are gonna fight only for the third spot with Salzburg, so amazing performance made by them.

I love everything you wrote mate and you said the facts, but you said something that might not be possible because I don't think it will happen this season. It is that Manchester City is in a better chance of winning UCL which I doubt. With the current performance of Man city, I don't think that they will make it to the finals, if they meet a strong teams because they have declined in performance compared to last season that they were super strong. They have draw four games in EPL and won their last game which is not a good result for them and that shows that they are weak and won't be able to challenge a team like Real Madrid or Inter if they clash in the round of 16. De bruyne is still on injury and no De bryune no Halaad goal scoring. I think this season the cup will go to Spain as they did very well in the group stage.

Lack of depths? I can said that was the reason. They made good additions this season before the start of the season. I would say injuries and failure to take the chances they had.

But I would not call this luck only in that game. Obviously, it was to be expected that Newcastle would control the most part of the game and have more shots and chances, but it wasn't as if AC Milan got dominated for 90 minutes. They had their chances, they had decent ball possession and they are still a top team that understands how to score out of a sudden when the opponent does not expect it. The goal was a classic counter attack played out very well by AC Milan. Well done and now they can compete with Liverpool in the Europa League. 

This is not because Newcastle is unlucky, but indeed the Newcastle team's performance has decreased greatly this season compared to last season and they are also joined by a very strong team in Group F so Newcastle's failure is not surprising.

On the other hand, PSG is lucky because they failed to win the last match against Dortmund but have the same points as AC Milan but in h2h PSG is superior and can qualify for the round of 16.

Champions League matches will not be the same as matches in the domestic league, UCL matches have different tension.

I agree that luck often plays an important role in football. Even though the draw ended AC Milan's chances in the Champions League (UCL), there is still hope in the UEL. Competing in Europe's second tier remains an extraordinary achievement, and AC Milan has the opportunity to shine there.

and of course facing Liverpool in the UEL could be a big challenge. Liverpool is a very strong and experienced team at European level, and the meeting in the pre-final round will be a serious test for AC Milan.

Hopefully AC Milan meets Liverpool in the final so that we can remember Milan's golden era when they met Liverpool in 2 Champions League finals in 2004 and 2007 even though in 2004 Milan failed to win.

Newcastle united started the game well in the first half hope that they will maintain the tactics till the end of the game, but it was a surprised in the second half for Milan to equalized the goal and still beat Newcastle united 1:2. It was painful that Newcastle united didn't qualify for their group because, they did not start this season well like the way they started well last season that made them to be among the teams that qualified last season despite they didn't win the trophy but they beat many teams to stopped them not to qualify like what some teams and Milan did to them not to allow them to qualify in this season.

I don't think their group is the caused of their failure in this season because the teams in their group are not too strong compare to when Newcastle united was displaying based on their coach impact that was making them to disgraced some teams that qualified in this champion league competition this season.

I also think that Newcastle United has been a little unlucky this season. Officially in the Champions League competition. In the Champions League, they were in one of the hardest groups. It was surely going to be tough for them to qualify for the next stage from this group. Actually, I honestly was not that surprised when I saw they were at the bottom of the group. But probably that is going to be a blessing in disguise for them. Because now they can concentrate on the English Premier League. So they will definitely have to improve in the English Premier League if they want to participate in the Champions League competition next season. Another thing is we also have to remember that the team which is ahead of them is Manchester United. And it should not be a hard job for them to get ahead of Manchester United.

It was a great achievement for Newcastle United to present England in this year's Uefa Champions League. Next time Newcastle United will perform better because they have gained Champions League experience.

Milan comeback at Newcastle headquarters took them to the Europa League, because in the other match PSG succeeded in securing one point from Dortmund. Milan had to settle for finishing third with eight points, they lost head to head to PSG in second place who collected the same points. Promotion to the Europa League at least still opens up hope for Milan to win trophies in European competitions. Milan's journey will certainly not be easy in the Europa League because there are several strong teams that were there first, like Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool.
