In the UEFA Champions League, the match between Porto vs Shakhtar Donetsk team that I enjoyed today was played very well by the players of both teams. Even though the players of both teams played well in today's match, Porto team won by scoring 5 goals in today's match. Shakhtar Donetsk team scored 3 goals. They definitely would have moved on if they were in United's group. Not withstanding the setbacks, their work was commendable. With a healthier team and more knowledge, I think they'll be better and go further next season. They definitely have the ability.

How unlucky newcastle is. It was placed in the most difficult group. The story will be different if newcastle is going to be placed in the easy group like barcelona. Eddie howe needs to work even harder to finish at the top 4 again.
Im very skeptical at this moment caused by the competition to get into the top 4 is very very strict. Even aston villa is also joining in the UCL spot race. I think that this will become the last time for newcastle to qualify for UCL again.

Newcastle can't be considered a weak side in they game but then AC Milan was a better side and we're able maintain a lead even if they were playing from away, playing at home could have looked like a good advantage for Newcastle especially in a determining game as this but then it was obvious they lacked the experience in the UCL to make good use of the advantage enough to had won that game.

Spain was the country with the most representatives in the Champions League in the round of 16 this season and 4 of its representatives also managed to become group winners in their respective groups. Meanwhile, for representatives from the league which is said to be the most competitive in the world, only 2 representatives managed to qualify for the round of 16 and they were also represented by the two best teams since last season. It is a fact that Spain is still a better league than other leagues on the list of top European leagues.

On the other hand, Italy and Germany also did not want to lose and they brought their 3 representatives through to the round of 16. I think this season's Champions League will still be dominated by teams from Spain and the strongest rivals will be teams from Germany. But I haven't forgotten the only team from England that is still a strong candidate to win the Champions League again this season and that is Manchester City.

In the end, luck was still on Milan's side. When AC Milan wins, I hope Dortmund can also win the match against PSG. but the draw that was obtained meant that Milan chance at the UCL had to end. However, at least Milan can still continue competing in Europe's second league. UEL will also be a big challenge for AC Milan, because in UEL there is Liverpool who can be a tough opponent for AC Milan if they meet before semifinals.

Newcastle lack of depth in their squad was one of the major reason for their exit in UCL apart from inexperience in European competition, I believe playing the same set of players week in week out in EPL as well playing midweek UCL matches with the same squad would have a negative impact on their players one of which is fatigue same problem was experienced by Man Utd who equally crashed out of the UCL, Arsenal and Man City are well strengthened unfortunately Newcastle who also aim to clinch the the top spot 4 in the league would have to forgot UCL to achieve their aim there is no how optimum performance by their players won't be guaranteed and now they can fully concentrate on EPL games to compete for top 4 spot.

It is indeed a shame that Newcastle was able to provide a good performance in the UCL against PSG but at the decisive moment Newcastle was faced with the problem of player injuries which were detrimental and gave Milan a big opportunity in the second half. At least what Newcastle has done this season is more than enough. Hopefully we can still see it again because for Newcastle this is just the first step to go further and teach important lessons. In the end group F was represented by Dortmund and PSG who advanced to the round of 16. It was still quite tough and what is  certain is that PSG and Dortmund did not want to play Bayern or Man City.

I was shocked to see that Newcastle United was beaten by AC Milan yesterday, and AC Milan secured a chance to play in the Europa League. PSG would still disappoint in the champions league this season. It's what they do. The problem is they don't have a balanced squad to me. It's not just about having expensive players in one position but having good players in every position. PSG have a good attack but it's not balanced. Their midfield is not balanced, their defense is not balanced.
Yesterday their attack was toothless, if Dortmund had been a bigger team PSG would have lost and not qualified out of the group stage. They don't have a midfield that can control games in big matches. I know that players are expensive right now but you don't always have to break the bank to sign good players. Last season they had a good attack but a very poor midfield and defense. This season, the attack is not as good as last season but it's okay but not technical and clinical enough. Mbappe is the only attacker they can rely on at all times but even him can't score every chance he gets.
I'm not putting any hope on PSG because they only flatter to deceive, but they can't deceive me this time around.

A good start to the season for Newcastle United even though they failed in the Champions League but they proved that this year they are playing in the highest caste from Newcastle United's absence in the Champions League, the first time Newcastle United has played again in the top caste even though they failed at least they proved that they are capable of competing with other clubs. Clubs with big names like PSG, Dortmund and AC Millan are certainly interesting things for a club like Newcastle United.

Even though Newcastle United didn't get a ticket to the Europa League at least they still have a chance to get into the Champions League Zone for next season even though their current position is in 7th place in the standings at least they can overcome that even though they are only 7 points behind Man City it looks like Newcastle United will be able to to advance to the Champions Zone..

In this match with the Milan team, Newcastle United could not win despite working hard. Because I have a lot of pain for Newcastle United team at the moment, because Newcastle United team will not be seen in this Champions League again this season. I was quite surprised that Barcelona were beaten by Antwerp in the Champions League. Even though just a few days ago Barcelona was defeated by Girona too.

I see that Barcelona is underperforming, this could be dangerous for the team's mentality when facing the next round of the Champions League.
They might lose their chance to win the La Liga title and also the Champions League if their performance continues to be as bad as this.

Newcastle isn't a new club in the UEFA Champions League competition nor were they appearing in the competition for the first time but had not participated in the competition since 2003/04 season until this season that they were able to qualify again for the competition. After 20 seasons of waiting, Newcastle return to the competition was somehow disappointing and I think it was because of the fact that they unfortunately found themselves in a very tight group. The group F of this season's UEFA Champions League group stage was regarded as the group of death because of the quality of teams in that group but Newcastle still have their best which unfortunately wasn't enough to keep them in the competition. They're out and will now focus their attention in the English Premier League and any other domestic competition that they're still participating on.


Football is a game of 90 minutes as well as a game of two halves and that's why a team have to perform well in the two halves to win a match. Newcastle were undoubtedly the better side in the first half of the match but couldn't keep up with the performance of first half in the second half and that gave their visitors AC Milan a chance to come back and win the game. AC Milan is more experienced club than Newcastle in the UEFA Champions League competition and yesterday, they showed resilience and determination than their hosts which they got the reward of playing in the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League competition with that crucial win at Saint James stadium last night

Yeah actually looking at how they were able to dominate AC Milan on the first half with the one goal they have scored, you can hardly imagine that Newcastle United will lose the match at the end because Newcastle United had a very great opportunity to win the match because there performance on the first half was impressive and there possession was 54 percent while AC Milan was 46 but it was quite unfortunate that Newcastle United had to lose form on the middle of the match that made AC Milan to win them on there home.

The match was actually a shocking match to everyone because if someone had told me that Newcastle United will lose the match at the end after scoring there first goal and dominating on the first half of the match I wouldn't have believe it, is actually surprising with the way Newcastle United was able to lose form all of a sudden because I no that Newcastle United was in a better form during the early time of the season but with this sudden poor performance is what I really don't understand.
