It is guaranteed in my mind that Napoli and Real Madrid will go up, the other teams Berlin and Braga do not look like they have a single chance of going up, some groups are like that, the top two is already decided in my brain. Like group G for example, Leipzig and City should be going up, there is a very small chance Young Boys and that other team could go as second normally and in my brain it's zero.

Let's see how the group stages will end, it looks like it's close enough after tow games for many groups, and we need to see how they will do overall, I know that it will be hard but we should be getting some good results one way or another, and the last 16 will be very fun. Seeing different clubs there at times is great, sure there are still names we all know that will be there, but some of the teams will be rare to see.
It's only natural to put Real Madrid and Napoli as the teams that will make it to the next round. Rael Madrid especially, they are the undisputed team in this Champions League, especially now that they have a breath of fresh air after bringing in several players in the summer transfer window. But I'm still a little doubtful about Napoli, because they've been showing inconsistent performances lately, and that's causing doubts to come to me. But if you look at the other 2 teams in this group, I also still have them as the top 2 teams in this group.
Napoli and Real Madrid deserves to be at the top position in their group and to qualify for the next round aswell as other teams in their group are not good enough to contend with them, Madrid and Napoli has performed well enough to move to the next stage, there's no doubts for Napoli as they are better when compared to Berlin or Braga.

Berlin and Braga should focus on their local league and qualifying for the next UCL because they don't have a chance in the UCL this season, they would likely do better if they focus more on doing better in their domestic leagues then probably come back better by next year in the 2024/2025 UCL.

Maybe now seeing that there is no de Bruyne in Manchester City squad, looks like a lion that is a little limp, their performance has declined in the last two matches in the English main league, it is quite dangerous when the game on the field pivotes on one player, and what is seen to be seen that no one can replace the role of De Bruyne to this day, who is commensurate to replace De Bruyne in an active midfielder position, as seen that his successor is R Lewis, but not as great as De Bruyne, then what rotation needs to be done for Fill the emptiness? Who deserves to rotate the position?

Speaking UCL Manchester City can certainly enter the next round of the match to see the victory they have collected, and I think it is strong enough at UCL even without the support of De Bruyne on the field.
The trending team in EPL and UCL have declined in performance this season, I'm wondering what happen to a team that generated such fierce fire last season by winning a treble. Pep Guardiola and his supporters specifically knows the origination of their problems and will not quite till everything is solved and handled appropriately.  The absence of Kelvin De Bruyne is one of the major void that created a vacant space in the midfield, though Rodri have tried his best to fit in but he's actually not 100% fit to handle everything by himself, he's aggressive but he's not keen on giving tremendous passes like Kelvin De Bruyne.

If there are no players who can replace De Bruyne role, then of course Pep Guardiola must apply different strategies and tactics. Because of course, if Pep Guardiola still uses the same strategy and tactics as there is still De Bruyne, then it will never succeed in producing good performance. Of course, I am sure that Pep Guardiola has good skills and plans for Manchester City even without De Bruyne. Because ya, it will be very bad if Pep Guardiola cannot overcome the dependence on De Bruyne for Manchester City's performance.

The rest of teams in the group are just nothing compared with real madrid and napoli but napoli shall also feel worry caused by it may always lose against real madrid. That means if napoli has probability to lose 6 points in total from playing against real madrid. It will give another club a chance to surpass it to be qualified for the next round. Napoli needs to win the rest of matches against another opponent. The club really need to win the game as soon as possible.
I have heard that if osimhen was getting hamstring injury. That means if he will not able to play in upcoming games. It will be a disaster caused by i knew that how bad napoli's performance without osimhen.
Napoli needs also to count on its secondary striker in the club. Napoli needs to feel worry with the chance not being qualified for the next round.

Bad news came from Shakhtar Donetsk, because they had just fired coach Van Leeuwen and now the confidence they had cultivated against Barcelona was lost. If we look at the results in the domestic league, Shakhtar Donetsk's position is actually still at the top with other teams, but of course Shakhtar Donetsk has its own reasons for deciding this. Even though Shakhtar Donetsk still has a chance to reach second place because they have the same 3 points as Porto.

I thought some time ago that Shakhtar Donetsk would be able to make it difficult for Barcelona to win so that they could at least get a draw later. But that was still not enough and now Shakhtar Donetsk have appointed interim coach Darijo Srna, while they look for a new coach in the future.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1713913227958964566

Shakhtar Donetsk have lost so many players to other teams due to the ongoing war against Russia. There were really skilled players like Tete among those players as well. It hasn't been easy for them to make progress from that situation so far. They are doing well in their domestic league actually and I can't say they are in too bad condition in the Champions League either.

Therefore I'm surprised with this sacking by Shakhtar Donetsk. I can't call his period at this team unsuccessful honestly.

Manchester City until now played without De Bruyne and they can still achieve 3rd position in Premier League and won 2 matches in Champions League. They're already been great so far, even though De Bruyne is currently a Manchester City's heart.

De Bruyne will also get older, it's just a part of regeneration and Manchester City seems quite success since they're still in good form.

It was wonderful that Manchester City were able to play and win without De Bruyne; they should get used to it now, as should other key players in the club, so that when they are out injured or suspended, they can still play and win all of their matches till they return. If it wasn't for Rodri's suspension, which resulted in two losses for Manchester City, I don't think De Bruyne's absence would have had much of an impact. Manchester City will undoubtedly finish higher than the other top clubs in the league and in the Champions League games.

Yes, maybe you are right. 4 more matches will be played. As you said, Manchester United will win these 4 matches and Manchester United will finish on 1st position. But right now, as I said, things are not going well for Manchester United. Casemiro is suspended due to a red card. There are many injured players. Also Manchester United's performance is very unstable.

Even before several of their players were injured and underperforming, Manchester United's previous performance cannot be compared to that of Bayern Munich, and they are far superior to them and will finish ahead of them in the group stage. Manchester United still has a chance to finish second in the group because they have four more matches to play, but I doubt they can beat Bayern Munich in their second leg clash. If they lose or draw a point with Bayern Munich, they will be disqualified from finishing first, and Bayern Munich will almost certainly win their remaining four matches.

@Davian144 when you’re a big club like Manchester City you need to have player’s who can step up and at City it seems that their player’s are not stepping up because these are opportunities for others to secure a starting 11 spot for themselves. Lastly I believe Pep would have done solid analysis by now and will come up with a better tactical plan hence it’s unwise to underestimate City even in the absence of De Bruyne.

This is why a team should never be dependent on just one player, because if that player is unavailable, it has a huge impact on their game. But I realize that this is difficult to avoid because it cannot be denied that in a team there are always players who are the mainstay, yes it is inseparable from their abilities and also their contribution to the team.
But can things like this be avoided? Of course you can, one of them is by rotating a lot and also giving many new roles to other players. I know this if done is full of risks, but when talking about risks, this also exists when they don't do things like I said.

Toni kroos to Manchester city is not possible, it's too much of a tall dream, pep guardiola will not sign Toni, especially considering his age.  i agree they will go for a long term solution, at least a much younger person. Kroos will be too much on expenses. Though Manchester city midfield is not doing bad,  they just have to hold on tight till Kevin De Bruyne comes back from injury to strengthen it.
Even if Pep wanted Toni, I don't think Toni would want them. Toni is now about to become a legendary player for Real Madrid. He is a team player who, along with Modric, has achieved significant success in Real Madrid's midfield for a long time. I think he will probably end his career in Real Madrid.
Of course going by the reality of things you will observe that Toni will end his career in Real Madrid, at his age and considering his consistency in Madrid, it is likely that it will be his last destination because even on the national team he's no longer active on the national team. so there is no point for him to leave one of the biggest club in the world.
I am not 100% sure about that, it doesn't look like he is getting that many minutes and he will probably stop getting these minutes as well, the younger generation of midfielders that they have look like they are doing fine and because they look like they are doing fine, Ancelotti is giving them more minutes which means less minutes for Toni Kroos. That could result with him going to another team, they may not renew his contract as well, and the smartest thing he could do would be going to Saudi Arabia to get paid, I know that Modric said no, and maybe Toni would say no as well, but financially that is the best decision.

Why think about what people will say when the return would be 20-30 million more per year? That would be money you are saying no, not the fans, fans can say you shouldn't go easily because they are not saying no to 20-30 million euro.

Most likely so, if there are no surprises then Real Madrid and Napoli have a big chance of qualifying from group C because in terms of quality Real Madrid and Napoli are much better than Braga and Union Berlin.
Don't underestimate Braga, they have a chance because Napoli isn't really good with their new manager, while Union Berlin has no chance because they're lose streaks in Bundesliga.

In the 3rd and 4th matches, Galatasaray will face Bayern Munich and Manchester United will face Copenhagen. And most likely Bayern Munich will beat Galatasaray in both matches. If Manchester United can beat Copenhagen in these two games, Manchester United can finish on 2nd position. But Manchester United's performance is very unpredictable and have self-confidence problems. Also Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was set for a game suspension after being red card in the Galatasaray match.
It's too naive to think like that because the league is still long to go, I could say Manchester United will win every matches and Bayern Munich lose all the next match, Manchester United will finish on 1st position.

Yes, maybe you are right. 4 more matches will be played. As you said, Manchester United will win these 4 matches and Manchester United will finish on 1st position. Manchester City still on the top performed in Champion League by winning 2 of 2 matches without Kevin De Bruyne but they have bad result after losing two matches in a row at Premier League. I don't see success achievement for Manchester City without De Bruyne although have many young player and need time for Pep Guardiola adapting new games play without De Bruyne. Current group stage opponent teams in Champion League looks not problem for Manchester City keep in the winning trend, but I doubt on knockout round if Kevin De Bruyne not recovery from injury will Manchester City have top perform or difficult qualifying until final stage.

Difficult to see better tactical with Manchester City actually Kevin De Bruyne have been vital player and helped Erling Haaland easily scoring many goals and looks difficult scoring goals when De Bruyne absent.

It is not yet clear when Kevin De Bruyne will be able to return to Manchester City in each of their matches because the injury he suffered is quite fatal and can even be claimed as an injury with a long period of recovery and this has had physical and on Kevin De Bruyne who is one of the important players for Manchester City besides Haaland.
Apart from several players being absent, Pep has now changed his strategy for the better without the two players in the midfield position and in the future it can still be confirmed that Manchester City can return to first place in the EPL and also qualify for the next for the UCL with the top position in group G.

It is true that Kevin De Bruyne is now 32 years old and as he gets older he can experience phase of decline in performance but Pep still believes in De Bruyne that he will remain Manchester City mainstay midfielder besides Rodri.

Manchester City may be interested in Toni Kross. He is a great midfielder. However, Manchester City's midfield is already much stronger now. So I don't think it would be very profitable to add Kross, who is almost 34 years old, to the team. Talented midfielders like De Bruyne, Silva and Phillips are already in the City squad. If City want to plan long term then they should add a young talented midfielder to the squad. The addition of Toni Kroos to the squad may have strengthened City's performance. But I doubt if he can give service to the team for more than 2/3 years.
The new interests me and since Toni Kroos is a player that has worked with Pep Guardiola with Bayern Munich, moving to Manchester City have a good possibility of happening.
Being 34 means nothing. Toni Kroos, still has that ability to break down defense with his passes. That is something he can bring into Pep Guardiola's side. Besides, they've lost Gundogan and since left, no player has met his standards.

Pep Guardiola already brought in a yougin from Manchester City Academy he ( Lewis ,) is already doing well. Did had a good game against Arsenal but no matured enough in midfied.
I instead believe that Guardiola will be interested in young players that has long future to spend in the club. I also do not think that Guardiola will allow players like Gundigon and Mahrez to leave the club and in the end bring player as old as Toni Kross to play with him. His experience with Toni in Bayern is old enough to be forgotten and dwell on new people and new challenges.
In the other hand, Toni wanted to end his career in Madrid but was persuaded by Madrid management to help the club to play one more season. I am surprised Toni wants to continue playing. It is good and passionate although

I also think Guardiola will plan for the long term. He is an experienced coach. He will not waste money. Manchester City will have to spend a lot of money to add Toni Kroos to the squad. And at the same time it is not sure whether Toni Kross will be able to adapt himself to the Premier League. The Premier League game and the La Liga game are completely different. And so I would say Guardiola should add young talented players to the squad instead of investing money on Toni Kross. As a result, if the young player adapts himself to the team, he will be able to support City for a long time. Adding Toni Kroos to the squad at a high price for only 2 seasons would not be the right decision. However, Manchester City can add Toni Kroos to the squad if the transfer fee is low or a free transfer.

Group C is relatively easy for Real Madrid and Napoli because Berlin and Braga have a difference in quality that is far below them.

And in my opinion, in the UCL group phase this season, Group F is the fiercest and up to now the four teams still have a chance to qualify from the group and even now it is still very difficult to predict who will be able to qualify, because these four teams have equal quality.

It is very sad that De Bruyne was only able to complete 1 match in the League this season and had to be replaced due to injury. I can say that currently there is no player who can play a role as good as De Bruyne as a tempo maker for City's game in the middle of the field. Even though you have a striker like a goal machine like Haaland, without sufficient ball distribution it will be difficult for Haaland to repeat his extraordinary performance last season.
When a player who is often relied on by the team is injured and has to be absent for a long period, of course this will have a big impact on the appearance and performance of a team like Manchester City. So this is also normal because substitute players are always not the same as the players the team often relies on in certain lines and even attacking players like Haaland can't do much when one of the mainstay players is absent.

Quote
As you said, his teammates are fine but the problem is that the 2 defeats City have suffered at the start of the season will slightly hinder their chances of winning the title. I'm not saying City can't win the League, it's just that this time it won't be as smooth as the previous season.
Manchester City still deserves to be considered as a team that is in the category of fighting for the title again this season, but with the two defeats that Manchester City has experienced, of course this will be an obstacle for him if the rival team can continue to win consistently until the end of the season. However, over time we also need to see how the match results are obtained by rival teams this season so that Manchester City's chances of winning the title again this season can be seen more clearly.

@Davian144 when you’re a big club like Manchester City you need to have player’s who can step up and at City it seems that their player’s are not stepping up because these are opportunities for others to secure a starting 11 spot for themselves.

Group B and Group F seem to be the fiercest in the group stage this time. Because the order of the points is the same, namely 4-3-2-1. But I think the toughest group is F. Because there are the most favored clubs there. Namely Newcastle, PSG, AC Milan and Dortmund. In fact, I didn't expect Newcastle to lead the rankings in Group F. Newcastle was able to beat PSG with a quite surprising score, namely 4-1.

Arsenal, who is in Group B, seems to be the one most expected by everyone to lead the group rankings. But unexpectedly, Lens is currently at the top of the rankings. But I'm sure Arsenal will fight just as hard this time, whether in the Premier League or the Champions League. Because Arteta definitely has very high ambitions this time. And we have seen Arsenal much stronger this season than last season.
From the start, Group F was predicted to be very fierce because these 4 teams had the opportunity to qualify from the group phase, and after 2 matches that had been played, Newcastle was surprisingly able to become the current leader of Group F standings by winning 4 points from 1 draw and 1 win. and in my opinion even now we still can't predict with certainty who will qualify from the group.

Meanwhile in Group B, Arsenal will of course be very favorites even though they lost against Lens in their second match, but if you look at the quality of this team, I don't have the slightest doubt that they can qualify from the group and even become top of the group standings in the future.
I also feel very confident that Arsenal is the one that will qualify from the preliminary round in group B. But for the second team I think it will be between Lens or Sevilla. But Sevilla doesn't seem to be in good shape this season. So Lens might be a strong candidate who will qualify from group B with Arsenal.

For group F, it is difficult for me to guess who will qualify. Even though Newcastle currently leads the standings. But things can still turn around quickly. Because there are still many matches left. Well, there are still 4 matches remaining in this group stage. which can change the current ranking position.
