Although Arteta managed to improve the quality and performance of Arsenal,  but I think Arsenal did not make the Champion League the main goal. Because anyway, sofar it looks like Arsenal are only focusing on being able to compete well in the race for the Premier League trophy and in fact,  other tournaments in domestic competitions are also not very good for Arsenal. Therefore,I consider Arsenal to have the main goal of getting good results only in the Premier League and not having maximum efforts for other competitions.

When a team has qualified for a competition, I don’t think their should be a reason why they shouldn’t prioritise the competition as one major one for them to win the trophy, if they do so, they’re reducing their strength and capability of a team to be able to withstand all conditions they find themselves in. When Arsenal plays in the champions league again next season, they should fight to win the Champions League title just like they’ll also fight for the premier league title. Their final aim might be achieved in the champions league and not in the premier league if they try to make things work for themselves in all situations they find themselves.

If there is money, any club can complete a transfer agreement with any player. In this case, Real Madrid has a different strategy to contract with any club. Before making a deal, Real Madrid think about how injury-prone the player they are signing and how well they can expect to perform from that player. Again after getting a good performance from the player when they sell that player they can make a profit or they will lose financially. Real Madrid are a successful club today because of their thoughtful signings, be it in terms of performance or financial gain. This season they have signed Mbappe, of course they will get the performance they expect from Mbappe and when they sell Mbappe they can sell Mbappe to any club for a higher price than the purchase price.

The scouting department of Real Madrid are doing a great job and it’s really paying off for them. They have the best squad in the world now and that is thanks to their thoughtful signings and consideration in signing for a long term project that every club wishes for. They’ve cut down their cost for every season and will maximise their gains for the next season because of how they’re going to be playing and looks like an unbeaten team to be when the season starts.

To win the UCL you need a squad that is able to maintain its performance in every match. Arsenal must learn more from the success achieved by Real Madrid and Manchester City if they want to win this most prestigious championship. Arsenal still needs time to compete with Real Madrid or other big clubs, maybe it's true as you said, Arsenal should focus on the EPL first, when they are able to win the title, they can increase their target to the UCL.
What Real Madrid and Manchester City have done will be difficult for Arsenal to imitate. Real Madrid have built a very solid squad over the years and of course they also have a winning mentality in the UCL. Manchester City has good finances so club management can give Guardiola the freedom to choose any player he likes and form a solid squad. Both are the best in the UCL at the moment. Arsenal will take a long time to be able to compete with Madrid or City. But I think the EPL is more realistic. They had good form and the league and only bad luck made them fail to win. This season Arsenal will become even more solid and I hope they can maintain consistency in their game this season.

The champions league is still going to elude them if they are not in any way making preparations for it because he competition in thw champions league will be even tough than it has ever been as all other teams are seeing how the preparations by others are intensifying because the champions league as known by everyone is really very competitive. The premier league is too but facing teams like Madrid and other top winners who have emerged from other leagues is something we wouldn't want to even for any reason undermine as it will be to the detriment of the team.

Although Arteta managed to improve the quality and performance of Arsenal,  but I think Arsenal did not make the Champion League the main goal. After all, if it's about the Champion League then of course Arsenal are still very far away from being able to compete to the final match. After all,the competing teams in the Champion League are certainly more difficult, moreover Arsenal also do not have a good squad depth for second-tier players. Thus, it will be very difficult to make player rotations to be able to maintain consistency throughout the season.
To be able to win the Champions League trophy is not an easy job, let alone Arsenal, even PSG are still unable to do it. We realize that every team has the opportunity to win the Champions League trophy, including Arsenal, but it is better for them to focus on the Premier League first. In my opinion, Arsenal will have the opportunity to compete with the Champions League favorites in the future, once they are truly able to conquer the Premier League. Arsenal has shown signs of success, Arteta needs to maintain his squad performance so that it does not decline, and start next season more impressively.
I think Arteta has been a coach who generally meets Arsenal's expectations. I think he met the management's expectations from him. Of course, the championship is the main goal, but Arsenal has been a team that has tried to reach the championship every year it has played in the Premier League. This will probably continue with Arteta. It is impossible for him to leave Arsenal unless he wants to. Arteta is showing good management

It turns out that the playoff round to add 7 UCL participating teams is still very long. I read on Wikipedia that we are currently only entering the second qualifier and the playoffs will be held in August. This means that this process will still be very long. There are 52 teams that are fighting to be able to become 7 teams that are confirmed to qualify for the UCL next season accompanying 29 teams that have been confirmed to qualify.

There is still a lot to improve if Arsenal is to win the Champions League. I have to admit, in the last few seasons Arsenal have experienced an improvement in performance, but they also still have weaknesses in terms of their inability to maintain consistent performance. Arsenal often slip up in games they should be able to win, these mistakes make them always unable to compete with Manchester City in the race for the EPL title.

Mbappe has never played in a Real Madrid jersey yet but you think Real Madrid is the best club for Mbappe. Real Madrid has been the best club for a long time and Real Madrid has not become the best club because of the signing of certain players but the players who get opportunities in their club are definitely lucky. Before Mbappe, many world-class stars have played in Real Madrid and they have developed their careers after they reached Real Madrid. Real Madrid build their squad every season in such a way that they have good quality players in every position of the team and they can perform consistently. Real Madrid has done well in the past seasons, Real Madrid will do well in the coming season and they will continue to do well.
In as much as Madrid is not becoming the best club because they signed one player, they are the best resulting from the collective efforts of these players put together so the signing of this player too has an effect by extension on the performance and ability of the team which cannot be undermined. In the era of other stars who played in Madrid at some point they were collectively the reason the team got to become the best and of world class standard which cannot be overlooked, so you cannot separate the fact that the team is best without its players, they aren't independent of themselves, collectively they make the dream team. Here's a new era for the likes of mbappe and other young Stars to keep the excellent image of the team till it gets pass their era.
If there is money, any club can complete a transfer agreement with any player. In this case, Real Madrid has a different strategy to contract with any club. I wouldn't underestimate his understanding of the game and how he conveys his concept for a particular game to his team. He may not go crazy at the drawing board like Guardiola or Nagelsmann, but he has his own way to let the team know where some kind of mathematics kick in. He includes things like the opponents becoming tired, the few chances his team will get, the efficiency his team works with, etc. etc. Ancelotti is someone who has all the little aspects in his head and he knows when to intervene tactically and in how far he can let his team just do whatever the team thinks is right. That's a very interesting approach, but I think it is a good way to do his job. They are all professionals on the pitch and he always had a mix of experienced players and younger super talents exactly for the reason that experience will guide his talents and he is taking care of the mental state of his players. A legend!
His calmness and his way of being on the sidelines is very different from the two coaches you mentioned and Ancelotti prefers to pay attention to his attitude and calmness on the sidelines. Talking about his experience, he is one of the most successful coaches and it is difficult to be caught up by any coach now and his way of replacing players is always right and can really help the team out of pressure. It is difficult to find a coach who does not have many tactics and strategies but he understands the needs of the team and he always shows it.

The way he handles players can also be said to be quite harmonious and professional so that even though there are many stars in the team it does not affect the competition between them. Usually being a coach of a big club and having many stars will be difficult to manage but this does not apply to him.

We all know that reaching Champions League is another level. It would take so much effort, training, resources, coaching before a certain team can compete on this level and emerge as runners-up or the winner itself. However, it is not impossible to do so. Hard work and perseverance are just couple of vital traits that a Team can have in order to achieve such level.

Arsenal for me has a long way to go to get that coveted Champions League trophy. Based from their history, their best finish was in 2006 in the runners-up category. And this year, they managed to reach the quarter-finals which was said to be a good performance already. Focusing in the Premier League first may be a good thing for Arsenal, as they can already work on the aspects they need to improve as a team.

Real Madrid has always been a strong team known throughout the world in football. Among them, one of the most powerful and paid teams in the Champions League, they always put in great performances to push the team forward. I think they fight the most to win the UCL title because it is the biggest trophy Champions League where every team dreams to win the trophy here. Ancelotti is an experienced coach, he is very forward and has shown enough good experience for the team for Real Madrid and has taken the team up a lot. They have won the most trophies in the Champions League and are arguably the most successful team in European football. And we can expect him to perform well in the Champions League this season and try hard to win the trophy.
Real Madrid is a team that can be said to support each other. They have quality players, good coaches and good management too, that is very valuable capital for a team to achieve great success. As a team they should have that, because it will be difficult if their players are quality but the coach cannot utilize it well, conversely it will also be difficult when they have an experienced coach but the squad they have is mediocre, likewise if the management cannot manage well.
All of these cannot be separated from each other, because they play as a team so they have to have continuity with each other or as I said above they have to support each other and so far Real Madrid is a team that has all of that.

Quote from: @Fabrizio Romano
“In football you’re good or not good. I wasn't good this time”, says Kylian Mbappé
“My Euro was a failure, as I wanted to win this cup”.
“I will now go on holiday, I will rest well, it will do me a lot of good, then I will get ready to start a new life at Real Madrid
there’s a lot of work, things to do”. 👀

Look at his face, my boy is very calm now! he learning to be humble   Smiley

We actually have to praise the Los Blancos management a lot. Many prayers have come and gone but none of those players have actually been able to be arrogant or think that he is above the team. All thanks to the management of Los Blancos for making sure of that. We can easily see that Mbappé has actually been spoiled by the PSG authority. They had given him a lot more than they should have. But I am pretty sure that something like this is not going to happen with Carlo Ancelotti's squad.

You know a player like Cristiano Ronaldo was not able to be arrogant in Real Madrid,  Cheesy. So I don’t think Mbappé will.

There is also another thing which helps Real Madrid a lot. They always have a very good relationship between the players and the coaches as well. That helps the players carry out the plan of the coach in the field very well. Hopefully, Carlo Ancelotti can rein him in.

The gunners should focus on winning EPL first and if they have achieved that, they can think about winning UCL which I don't see that happening soon only if they can change their mentality and improve their performance up to the standard of strong clubs that are winning UCL.

I don't know why it has being like that, is it that they always lose focus on the matches or they are not just lucky in the league. A lot must be done if Arsenal wants to win UCL. Arteta is a good coach and I hope that he doesn't make any mistake next season and win their domestic league. As long as Real Madrid exists, it will be difficult for weak teams like Arsenal to win UCL.
Arteta definitely has the ambition to bring Arsenal to appear consistent in every competition, of course Arsenal has the opportunity to do so, or they can properly organize their priority scale next season according to the team condition. It is possible that Arsenal can create a different performance between the Premier League and the Champions League, like Dortmund last season, but it would be better for Arsenal to focus on pursuing the Premier League title first. Competition in the Champions League is much more difficult, and Arsenal will definitely have the opportunity to reach the Champions League final like in the 2006 season.

Arsenal has now developed for the better, especially in the last two seasons, they have almost been able to win the Premier League trophy. Meanwhile, in the Champions League last season, when Arsenal faced Bayern, Arteta fleet still looked very unstable, they failed to show their best performance when facing the Bundesliga giants. In the future, if Arsenal succeed in winning the Premier League trophy, their journey in the Champions League will be even more taken into account.

It's been a long time since Arsenal won a Premier League trophy, while in the Champions League, they have never even got it. So it is quite reasonable that they are considered not to have a winning mentality like Real Madrid and Man City have but, from the experience and failures of the last few seasons, it seems like it could be a valuable lesson for Arteta and his players, and I think it has at least forged their mentality. It's not an easy matter, but if they can be consistent in the next few seasons, I think they will definitely get it.

Arsenal not only had difficulty winning the Champions League, they also had difficulty competing in the EPL, their only weakness was their inconsistency in maintaining their performance. Arsenal is a strong team, they are ready to challenge in the title race, but they often run out of gas towards the end of the competition.
To win the Champions League not only requires preparation such as building a stronger team, but also requires a consistent mentality and performance. The highly competitive competition in the Champions League requires any team to always maintain its performance. Real Madrid has succeeded in doing something that Arsenal has never been able to do so far, which is why they often achieve success in the UCL.

I strongly agree with your current thinking, because Arsenal should focus on the EPL trophy first for them to get, so that the champion mentality possessed by the players can increase rapidly, besides that Arsenal needs to continue to improve their squad so that they have enough squad depth so that they can continue to compete and maintain their consistency in the fight for the title both in the domestic league and the Champions League later,  Although currently Arsenal is starting to be able to compete in the Premier League, the mentality they have is not enough to compete in the Champions League and the proof is when last season Munich was in a very bad condition but they could not beat even though Arsenal previous performance was better than Munich in the League.

Arsenal main problem at the moment is none other than the mentality and consistency of their squad which is often down when facing important matches, Arsenal lost the opportunity to win the Premier League this season actually not because Manchester City is better than Arsenal, but actually Arsenal often lose points in crucial matches even though they only face teams weaker than them such as when losing to Aston Villa and Fulham last season,  To be able to win the Premier League and even the Champions League, of course, Arteta needs to improve his squad mentality.

If there is one thing about the gunners and their stand in Europe that I know is that they actually don't do all that well even when there are at their best forms some random team in the European competitions still find a way to actually knock them out and this has been the sequence for quite a long period now. The champions league would be too tough for the gunners and I say this because they haven't dealt with the issue at home yet so thinking of winning another stronger competition would be more like a wild dream

I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to assume, even though the Champions League hasn't started yet, regardless of our respective favorite clubs. We are aware that Real Madrid have a very good reputation in the Champions League with 15 trophies to date, and with the depth of the squad they have built, it makes perfect sense why many people place them as the main favourites. Of course, there are several top European teams who have the complete attributes to win the Champions League too, such as Manchester City or Bayern Munich. It is possible that next season the Champions League trophy will be won by a team other than Real Madrid, or it could even be won by a team like Arsenal who have never won it, nothing is impossible and we have seen many surprises so far.
It is no problem if we want to speculate about the possibility of the UCL winner candidates for the next season. Sure, Real Madrid will be always in the first place of the candidate of the champion. It is not only about their popularity, they can prove it with stats and data. Real Madrid becomes the team with the most UCL wins, they already wins 15 UCL titles. And the most interesting fact, Real Madrid never got a lose in the UCL final since the season 1997/1998. In the last 9 finals in UCL, Real Madrid always win the final match. Even without a top striker, Real Madrid still could win the UCL final in the last season. Now, Real Madrid already has an ideal striker (Mbappe), the must have a higher chance to win again the UCL title.

Sure, there is no guarantee to win again the UCL title. However, if we consider the quality of the top team squads, Real Madrid looks to have the most convincing squad to win the UCL title. If they can beat Man City, they no doubt to have a higher chance to win UCL title again. Let's see how Real Madrid can deal with Man City!!

A lot is expected from Mikel Arteta because he’s showing the sign that he’ll bring Arsenal back to their glory days like the days of Arsene Wenger. He has tried twice now both in the premier league and champions league and it is to no avail yet. The next season stands to be another chance for him as the management are not even looking like reliving him off his duty because of the so much hope they have in him to make Arsenal great again. The champions league is showing a very great challenge for them so is the premier league with the likes of Manchester City still in their best form now. They need to try harder to get it through this time around because it won’t come to them that easy. Let’s wait to see what the next season brings for them, maybe they can at least life one trophy out of the  competitions they’ll be participating in.
Arteta has Arsenal looking better than in years. He's not Wenger yet, but he's promising. Its appeared in the Premier League and Champions League. No awards yet, but I trust the process. His management supports him, which is important. Man City is and always will be difficult to beat. Arsenal wont win by trying harder. Must be smarter. With his tactics, Arteta has done that. They've improved, no doubt. They must be more consistent. Win the right games and steal some. Trophies are earned that way.

I admire their transfer market strategy. Boosting the attack and midfield is prudent. Scorers and playmakers are needed. Arsenal can challenge anyone with the proper players. They have a bright future.

This season is going to be entirely different from the previous one because Arsenal will put in more work for improvement and also keep close sights on major titles. The UEFA Champions League is not for newbies but for elite clubs that have stand their ground and knows basically what they need. Arsenal tried their best but couldn't coupled up with the outstanding performance of the club. It's been outrageous for Mikel Arteta and Gunners perhaps he's one of the promising coach to lift the burden of the club since the departure of Arsene Wenger.

In essence, Real Madrid still has many young players in every line and as such, of course Real Madrid will still be fine even though Kroos has retired and Modric has left. Of course, it doesn't make it difficult for Ancelotti to maintain good performance for Real Madrid, because Real Madrid is also still very good at carrying out regeneration, so there is no doubt for Real Madrid for next season.

But indeed, because Real Madrid has many young players who have at least the same position in the attack line, this will result in them being placed in other positions in order to strengthen Real Madrid's attack line. I think it won't be a problem, because at least these young players will still get good playing minutes and won't just be on the bench.
I don't know what Real Madrid will experience in midfield after Kroos leaves, but what is certain is that they have prepared for that and now they have the capital by having many potential young players to fill the void left by Kroos due to retirement. There is no news yet that Real Madrid will bring in new players in midfield or maybe they are still relaxing and not in a rush to determine whether they will bring in new players or not.
In my opinion, Real Madrid is the most successful team with its current regeneration, because when compared to other teams they still have difficulty making them stable with their regeneration. Just imagine, by having lots of young players who they collaborate with senior players, they could become Champions League champions and win the La Liga title. The young players they have not only have good games, but mentally they are also very good.
