Personally, I don't expect to see a good performance from Barcelona in the Champions League because Barcelona recently had many financial issues and they couldn't have a strong team while the results they get are mostly because of their coach and because of using younger talents while Barcelona can never race with this young player in the tournaments like the Champions League because they don't have the enough experience for it as they have in the other teams like Manchester City.

Therefore I wouldn't be too quick to consider the team currently leading the last 8 as strong candidates because as we can see, it's still early and anything can still happen. It's not easy to go on an 8 game winning streak, even Bayern Munich would find it very difficult, but if they manage to go 8 games in total without a loss, then they are the candidates with a better chance of winning the trophy. The Champions League season will be even more difficult when players are busy with domestic league matches and international breaks that will always have an impact on injuries. So I believe that neither Barcelona nor Arsenal, both of which had "disappointing" results should be sad with what they have right now, I think they are doing fine and they shouldn't really be worried about what they have. They can totally consider this as one bad mistake and could fix it later on.

If you have observed the performance of two these clubs Liverpool and Milan since the season started, it is clear that Liverpool is in a better form of winning Milan due to their superb performance in their domestic league whereas, Milan is still struggling to win matches in Seria A. Arnse Slot have to scarifice his last EPL match before playing Liverpool in order for him to secure victory so that hia players will not play on fatigue.

Playing Leverkusen at home is something Milan should be careful about because Leverkusen is on fire and they won their first UCL match and playing at home will be a motivation to them. Fonseca should make his calculations very well and come up with a good game strategy that will give them a upper hand over Leverkusen in Germany if he really wants win his host.

I think their tactic is not to hold Atalanta to a draw. On paper Arsenal are more favored to win this match. Although Atalanta were UEL champions last season but that is not enough to make people think they are on the same level. I am not underestimating Atalanta but in terms of individual quality I think Arsenal are better here. This season every team must be able to rotate players because of the tight schedule. I think Arteta tried to rotate by focusing on players in their best form in the match against Man City and still aiming for a win in the match against Atalanta. A draw is not good for both teams. Arsenal will play as hosts in the next match but I think if Arsenal are not in their best form the next match will also be disappointing for The Gunners fans.

San Siro STRIPPED of hosting 2027 Champions League final after Milan failed to guarantee iconic stadium would not be affected by planned renovation

UEFA will reopen the bidding to host the 2027 men's Champions League final after the match was taken away from Milan.

European football's governing body has gone back to the drawing board after authorities in the Italian city could not offer guarantees that refurbishment work at San Siro stadium and the surrounding area would not affect the match.

UEFA indicated in May that a decision on the 2027 final host was being postponed, subject to UEFA receiving the necessary guarantees around the San Siro refurbishment.

A decision on a new host is now expected in May or June next year, UEFA said.

Agreement has also been reached over UEFA's solidarity funding, with Premier League clubs outside of European competition receiving a smaller slice over the next three seasons than under the previous agreement.

AC Milan lost by a big margin against Liverpool in the Champions League but the same team again defeated Inter Milan in their league tournament. As for Liverpool's opponents at the moment, AC Milan haven't had a very strong opponent but still being beaten by this team by such a big margin surprised me a bit. Before the match started and even before losing by a big margin I considered Liverpool and AC Milan to be almost equal opponents against each other so I naturally thought that maybe this match would result in a draw but it was not to be. 

However, AC Milan will have to do well in the matches ahead of them in the Champions League as they are already under a lot of pressure after losing their first match.

If we look at the squads of the two teams that played in the match, we can say that actually the two teams are not in good condition, considering that many of their main players are injured, if we compare in terms of team quality, of course, actually Arsenal is still better than Atlanta, but indeed Arsenal's game in the match does not show a team that has attractive characteristics and is also impressive in attacking,  Even in my opinion after the game against Porto last season it was clear that the game against Atlanta was the second worst game I have seen from Arsenal in the Champions League so far.

I totally disagree with you, if you had watched that game very well you would have seen that Atalanta where the better side against Arsenal, don't even go to say that Atalanta is not strong as Arsenal, Atalanta played without any sign of weakness in that game, you might want to rate them not being on the same standard with Arsenal but every club that has qualified for the champions League came as a champion especially Atalanta that won the Europa League. I still blame that young man that went to play the penalty for Atalanta as he would have allowed ademola lookman to take the penalty kick,  maybe by now you would have understood that Atlanta came prepared if they had won that game.

Atalanta winning Europa League indeed good achievement but i don't think they will be automatically became an the favourite in this competition because just like we all know that Champion league is very different compared to other competitions and it's hard even for strong teams to gets the trophy even Guardiola has been admitted Champion league is the hardest competition in Europa

The draw result from Arsenal indeed has successfully to boosted Atalanta mentally although i personally didn't satisfied to see this result because they have good chances to beat Arsenal but i think draw against strong team just like Arsenal is good achievement for Atalanta

I think it's too far to talking about champion possibility for Atalanta because they are not the favourite in this competition besides that there were plenty of big teams who deserved to called as champion candidates rather than them and if we talking about knockout stages i think they have to try harder especially besides Arsenal Atalanta has more strong opponents just like Real Madrid and Barcelona

It would be nonsense to lose at home. There is a high probability that this will not happen. It is still much better to play at home than away. You can say that you know all the pitfalls of your "home". Which cannot be said about the opponent, who is playing for the first time (but this is not certain), but still does not feel so confident.

It was match that was not as expected, they were bad in every attack and defense and indeed in this match I also considered that David Raya contribution was very large with several saves he made.
I don't know what happened to the players so that they were unable to beat Atalanta, but what is clear is that Arteta looked quite disappointed with the performance of his players who could not play consistently, this is Arsenal weakness which cannot maintain the quality of play at any time.
Arsenal played well against Tottenham but experienced decline in the UCL match against Atalanta then returned to perform very well when playing against Manchester City for the Premier League match and if they did not get 1 red card maybe Arsenal would have won although I really hope Manchester City would have won the match.
Next Arsenal will meet PSG for the second UCL match and there is still enough time for Arsenal to prepare everything well and they are playing at home, Arsenal should be able to play well even though PSG is not an easy opponent.

Most likely preparing the ground to face Man City in the Domestic League, at least holding Atalanta to a draw at their home is much more than enough and most likely, Arsenal will beat Atalanta at Arsenal's home, so this tactic and strategy is what Arteta uses in maintaining the stamina of the players, so that facing Man City at home all the players are in their best condition because we know these two clubs are tough competitors in their League so whatever the result is is a strategy so that Arsenal's points are not lost too much.
