Guys, are you ready? Here is the league phase table that has been made and we will soon be in the first matchday in the next few weeks.

Of course this will be much tiring but also fun to see the new format with many exciting matches and I think we should prepare more money to bet considering the chances of multiplying it are also much greater.

In addition, we can see that there will be only 8 teams with the most points that will qualify for sure and there are 16 teams that will fight again in the play-off round to secure their steps to the last 16. On the other hand, for the 12 unlucky teams, they will be eliminated from the league phase and must try it in the next season.

Anyway, which match will you be looking forward to in the opening match later? For me, of course Liverpool against Milan will be a big match that we shouldn't miss.

However, although all teams have hope, not all teams can win the Champions League title. Manchester City Real Madrid Bayern Munich These three teams are currently favorites to win the Champions League title. Earlier we saw teams like Liverpool Inter Milan Arsenal along with Barcelona in the competition but we don't find them tough competition now as their team is not as strong as before.

Don't look down on Arsenal as they have the chance to win the champions league too. They haven't won it before and Mikel Arteta would love to make history as the first Arsenal manager to lead the arsenal team to the champions league trophy. It would be looking impossible until they do it because they have a very good team that can be used to win top trophies. They signed some good additions to the team and have experience too as Sterling is an experience top player that lost form due to Chelsea poor form. Being in a team with fast and sharp players, his talents might be deactivated.

Bayern Munich is a team with a long history in Europe and they are highly respected. However, in the last few seasons, Munich seems to have not done much and they always fail to reach the final. For this season, of course, they are included in the ranks of the favorites but Real Madrid and Manchester City have always been more convincing.
I don't  think so Bayern Munich tried so much to get that far but I think they were not just lucky to get to the final because I know they would have taken Dortmund out easily even though it was Final, even realmadrid get to equalise and won the match between them and Bayern  at the very last minute when the game was about going to an end, I'm  telling you they weren't just lucky, this would have been another story instead.

Your assertion of this top three teams to win the champions league competition may be right but for other teams you’ve mentioned not to have hope in winning the champions league along this other big three teams you’ve picked may also be right but could also not be so. The champions league competition is not the one that you can predict well when the matches have not yet began. You have to see the performance of each and every team before you can make some conclusions on them. I believe this your conclusions were based on last season’s performance by each team. We may see a surprise one this season and the most underrated team could pull up a great performance that will make other top teams you’ve mentioned not even make it far in the competition.
Maybe because they've won it recently but I will clearly disregard that even if we have favourites I don't just consider it , Uefa Champions League is game of Champions  which means we have various champions competing with each other so its not just some kind of regular game besides, we now how a new system Smiley

In my opinion, Bayern Munich is currently more comparable to teams like Liverpool, Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan and several other teams, because last season they lost their dominance in the Bundesliga. Bayern Munich reputation in the Champions League is quite good, but they do not have the same strength as Real Madrid or Manchester City at this time. The appointment of Kompany as the new manager this season raises concerns, the former Burnley manager has no experience in bringing a team to become champions. So I think it is very difficult for Kompany to lead Bayern Munich to become a dominant force in the Champions League, his main priority is of course to conquer the Bundesliga first.

Besides that, I am sure many people put Bayern Munich on the list of favorites because of their experience, even though their current situation has clearly changed. We realize that Kompany inherited most of the players from Tuchel leadership era, and there are still a number of players in the squad who have tasted winning the Champions League trophy such as Muller. However, a team journey in the Champions League is not limited to the attributes they currently have, Dortmund last season managed to reach the final, which made many people's predictions wrong. Such a thing is very possible to happen, because in reality we cannot predict a team luck.
I almost completely agree with your opinion, but one thing, Kompany also wants to lead Bayern Munich to win the Champions League this season. There are many big targets that need to be achieved so that a coach becomes increasingly respected in European football, including Kompany, of course.

So far Bayern Munich have won 2/2 of their early season matches. Even though the opponents are Wolfsburg and Freiburg, this is Kompany's record at the start of the season. Bayern Munich is one of 3 teams that managed to get 6 points in the last 2 matches in the Bundesliga, so I don't think Kompany is really worth underestimating. Leverkusen suffered their first defeat of the season, so their performance has declined and is no longer the same as last season.

Wining the Champions League is indeed a good thing any coach will want to achieve including Vincent Kompany, and it is among his main target as a manager especially if he can be able to win it as soon as possible even though he have a lot of work to do as a manger because his team need some balance before they can achieve such success.
With the likes of Madrid, Manchester City, and others, it will only be a luck of Kompany was able to win the Champions League this season.

Wolfsburg and Freiburg are not small teams in the Bundesliga. Even though they are not among the top three teams, they are always tough to play against because they used to be tough and always have good squad. For Bayern Munich under Vincent Kompany to have started this great, there is a good tendency that the can do well for the team especially if he is able to win the Bundesliga this season ahead of Leverkusen and Dortmund.

We should probably wait and see how this will move on, and it shouldn't really be worried about it at all, it needs to be considered as a normal thing and not have too much to deal with. I understand that things aren't always that easy to figure out which team will win, but Real Madrid is entirely designed to win this one, so it's not really that confusing, it's something that we have to handle all together and we can't really make any bigger changes on our bets neither.

I understand that Real started not that awesome, but they are still an awesome team and should be doing fine, it's clear that we will see them do fine, it can't be really a big deal at all, it has to be something normal without much changes for sure.

Well, all teams in Europe are fighting to qualify for the Champions League by fighting in their respective domestic leagues. And yes, those who have qualified for the UCL definitely hope that they can fight well and go further and even hope to win the championship title. My favorite is probably Manchester City again this time. Meanwhile, for Real Madrid, I haven't seen a really good balance in the squad. because the club is still having difficulty conditioning their attack line after the arrival of Mbappe. But Real Madrid clearly remains the other favorite in the UCL. But Barcelona also seems to have high targets at the moment. So they are also worth considering. Meanwhile, from Serie A, we see that Inter Milan and Juventus will also be teams that are difficult to face in the UCL. But at UCL big surprises sometimes happen. Like last season where Dortmund managed to advance to the final and surprised everyone. although they were ultimately defeated in the Finals.

Arsenal have made changes to the squad but not significant changes. Almost 20 years have passed since we saw them win the Champions League title in the 2005/6 season and in those 20 years their achievements in the Champions League have been almost nil. This generation of them definitely wants a Champions League trophy. A new season of Champions League will start very soon and there are high expectations for Arsenal but like every time I think Arsenal will focus only on Premier League they will not focus much on Champions League. As many times they have come very close to winning the Premier League title and lost, they have to give more importance to the Premier League tournament as well as the Champions League tournament, although it will be difficult for them but they should do it.
Arsenal is the only one big four of Premier League team never winning UEFA Champion League trophy and most success achievement qualified until final round on season 2005/06 but defeating by Barcelona.
Actually Arsenal performance keep consistent last two season in domestic league and success pressure Manchester City waiting until the last game week become the winner but their performance inconsistent when playing in Champion League.

New UEFA Champion League format, Arsenal seems not face difficult opponent team and secure all three points of eight matches have opportunity get qualifying to knock out round. Considering the eight teams have to face in league phase round I think only PSG and Inter Milan are difficult opponent teams but have advantage with home match when facing PSG. I think Arsenal easily secure three points when facing Atalanta, Shakhtar, Sporting and AS Monaco.
All teams have big ambitions to win the Champions League trophy. Arsenal is one of the big teams in Europe that has never won the trophy. Every team always prepares the team more maturely in order to achieve success but the Champions League always holds a mystery and only Real Madrid is able to achieve extraordinary success on the European stage.

This season the Champions League comes with a new format, we don't know how the process is until each team qualifies for the knockout phase. Arsenal certainly has a chance to qualify considering that several teams are at a level below them. However, to achieve the championship seems rather difficult for The Gunners because teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City are still very strong and are always favored in the tournament.

It is a tough group but I believe that Barcelona will qualify from this group no matter how difficult that their opponents are. The clubs that will give them tough time is Munich and Dortmund because they are well experienced in UCL.

Atalanta will not be a big challenge for Barcelona because it seems that they are not too strong like they wereasy season. Real Madrid won them 3-0 and Inter 4-0 this season so I don't expect much from them this season.
With all the good records that Barcelona is now showing in La Liga. I think the majority of us are also starting to have high hopes for Barcelona in the UCL. And actually the only challenges Barcelona has are Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Benfica and Atalanta. and I think Barcelona's difficulties are only against Bayern and Dortmund. And the rest I think Barcelona will go through very well. The unluckiest club is the club that has to play against Manchester City. Because Man City has always been a scary club for other teams in the UCL. because the possibility of winning against Man City is always small. Even big teams like Real Madrid always have difficulties. And the big opponents that Man City will face are PSG, Juventus and Inter Milan. Luckily Barcelona is not on the list that Man City has to face.  Grin

yes, in fact, that's exactly the problem, having so many teams that often end up clashing immediately in big matches, I must say that the formula is really chaotic and full of problems right now and we're only at the beginning, it will take time to fix get people used to this new formula, I sincerely preferred the old formula where we were all used to, they say they removed it because of favoritism, but to me it seems like they are ruining a competition
I don't think like that about the new format in the Champions League this season, because no matter what, everyone also needs to see how the conditions of the new format are this season. And if there are some teams that clash directly with big matches because of their difficult opponents, indeed in this Champions League nothing is easy for every team even though last season there was a slight difference because it was still the old format. So the teams that are here are teams that have been truly tested from everything including pressure and also in terms of facing their opponents.

But at least, with this new format there will be many big matches because top teams will meet other top teams, and I think it will be very interesting. When compared to the old format, the big matches that  occurred were quite few, such as the group of death and or top teams meeting other top teams in the knockout phase. But in this new format because the system is also like a league with a standings, each team is shuffled and in reality gets a lot of big matches, and that also seems to increase more benefits too.

Although indeed, I am still not used to this new format, but it seems I will try to enjoy it because the new format has certainly been considered in depth. Thus, I am sure the Champions League will be fine eventhough it uses a new format and most importantly, of course every  match in the Champions League will be a very interesting match and that has been depicted from the existing schedule at this time.

Since the news about the new format of the Champions League has been circulating, to be honest I have not studied the detailed mechanism of the new format of the Champions League competition. However, if I try to review several teams, it seems that each team will play eight matches in the group phase, in short like that. Well, I don't know if this will be a polemic for the teams that are competing. But in my personal opinion, the most packed schedule is the Premier League team, because they also participate in several other competitions. So clearly, they need a lot of energy for this new format. However, if seen from another side, it seems that this is quite exciting and provides a different spectacle that we usually know in each season. So, each team will not meet twice in the group phase until they are confirmed to qualify for the last 16.

exactly you need a lot of energy, this will only drain energy from the kids' championships
they are practically making the local championships more boring because the teams will be so tired that they won't be able to have a good championship
unless they have a very large squad to do an excellent turnover
The new format that is now being implemented will be witnessed together about how far it can run effectively and efficiently to find out at the end of the season whether the results can be much fairer, by fair I mean presenting more unexpected candidates in the top 8. Because in the new format it demands stability in the condition of the players, while managing the schedule in the Domestic league with player rotation and many more which basically demands club management to work harder. In addition, the new format will indeed drain the players' energy, but on the other hand this new format wants to show us which club management is really working well.

Some people say that they are very happy with what is happening in this new format, because from the beginning we will be presented with big matches, this can be said to be something new in this Champions League.

I agree with you, in fact in this Champions League there are no easy matches, because the teams that are here are the best representatives from each league for their performance in the previous season.

However, it cannot be blamed when someone says the match is not balanced, because of the difference in league level, competitive level in the domestic league and so on. Because it cannot be denied that there are still big differences between one league and another.

The Champions League released a new format in their competition, of course for the reason that it will create more competitive competition, so this makes it possible for one big teams to difficult to continue to dominate the Champions League, but I think actually the current changes to the Champions League are nothing more than an increase to income for UEFA, because after all the increase in the number of clubs and matches allows them to get bigger profits from broadcasting rights compared to last season, but apart from that, I think there is still a lot of confusion for us in seeing the new format now considering the changes that have occurred very significant, but it is better for us to see how the quality of the competition this season will compare last seasom,so that we can judge whether the new format is more good or bad compared to the old format.

Real Madrid will always being an the favourite of this competition because you can see based on the champion lists in the last 10 season that Real Madrid is really dominate this competition with gets 5 trophies so these achievement possibly will be hard to pursued by any other teams even there was opinion about them that if don't want Real Madrid gets the trophy then don't ever let them reach to the final matches because according to the statistics Real Madrid has more than 80% winning percentages on the final matches of Liga champion

For other team just like Manchester City probably they also can be considered as strong contender for race title especially after the return of Gundogan it makes them more stronger  but it's hard to predict who is the winner of this season because the league hasn't starting yet especially Champion league has new format but we cannot ruled out other teams just like PSG or Bayern Munich especially PSG that they are really on fire without Mbappe at Ligue 1

Real Madrid will always be a favorite in this competition because, as you can see from the champion lists of the last 10 seasons, Real Madrid has dominated with 5 trophies. It may be hard for other teams to catch up with this achievement. There is an opinion that if you don't want Real Madrid to win the trophy, then don't let them reach the final matches, as their winning percentage in the final matches is over 80%.

Other teams, like Manchester City, can also be considered strong contenders, especially after the return of Gundogan making them even stronger. It's difficult to predict the winner of this season since the league has not started yet and the Champions League has a new format. However, other teams like PSG or Bayern Munich should not be ruled out, especially PSG who are performing well even without Mbappe in Ligue 1.
Listen, Real Madrid is Real Madrid. They're a real domination. One cannot discuss European football without bringing up them. The five trophies in ten seasons? That tells itself. They possess the history, the pedigree, the winning mindset.

Yes, their La Liga debut has been somewhat chaos. But they are still a force to be reckoned with even when they're not at their best. They possess that Champions League mojo, that capacity to turn it on when most important.

Now, there is some fierce competition out there. PSG, Bayern, Man City... these folks are not jokes. They are driven for the top, hungry, and gifted. Still, Real Madrid? They won't be back down. They will fight, they will scrape, and they will do all it takes to prevail.

Holyshit!!! How unlucky Barcelona is. They meet many germany teams. And having Bayern Munich as their opponent on match day 3 is a disaster for them. Also, group stage is going on till Jan end is crazy. Their thin squad must be fighting harder with their fitness. And i guess, their injury rates are going to shoot up due to the new format of UCL.

They're gonna face Dortmund and Munchen, and these clubs are real tests for them.

It seems main and secondary teams would play key roles in helping a club reach the next stage.
For some reason Barcelona is always faced with its past opponents and here Bayern Munich feels very happy to meet its old friends. Grin

This will be a repeat match like before where Barcelona will have a nightmare when facing Bayern Munich and even if you look at social media, one of Bayern Munich's veteran players, Thomas Muller, has started to greet them again. But apart from the drama, I'm pretty sure that Barcelona in the Champions League this season is not a team that can be joked about anymore and they are very ready with full strength to face their opponents.

If we talk about their chances of qualifying from this league phase, of course Blaugrana must be able to get every point from their mediocre opponents but if they lose points it will add to the burden they have to feel.

Anyway, besides Bayern Munich and Dortmund, I see Benfica and Atalanta will be quite tough opponents for them.
I will look for the head to head statistics between Barcelona vs Bayern Munich because previously Barcelona always be hard struggling to gets the winning results from Bayern Munich and in the last 5 meetings Barcelona has suffering 5 losing streak even on 2020 i think people have been remember that Bayern Munich at that time has been beat Barcelona with the final scores 8-2 so this scores so far was Barcelona's biggest defeat by Bayern Munich

But Barcelona has been change now because they are on fire and Hansi Flick has successfully to make Barcelona great again and you can see it based on Barcelona performance in Laliga because since week 1 Barcelona always be win with big scores from their opponents and about Barcelona journey in this competition i think the most difficult opponent from them is only Bayer Munich and i am sure Barcelona can able to overcomes other teams such as Atalanta, Dortmund and AS Monaco

Due to the new format of the Champions League, we will watch a preliminary round where many strong teams are matched against each other. The Bayern Munich match is very important for Barcelona. I don't think they will make many mistakes in the other matches this year. They will easily win the three matches you mentioned. However, the Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich matches will be decisive for them. The higher they finish in the rankings, the better it is for them. Barcelona wants to be the champion this year, they started the league very well, even though it is very difficult, why shouldn't they play well in the Champions League?
Barcelona's incredible start to the Spanish La Liga season doesn't translate to having a great campaign in the UEFA Champions League competition as well when the competition returns later this month. In the past, we've seen teams do exceptionally well in their respective leagues but fail to replicate their impressive performance in the UEFA Champions League and have also seen clubs win the UEFA Champions League and still fail to finish in the top two in their league table. That being said, I'm not tryna say that Barcelona can't win the Champions League but I'm saying we shouldn't mistake their impressive start to the season to being formidable enough to win the UCL as well.

Barcelona doesn't have bad records against German teams so I think they can still end up dispatching their German opponents when they later meet each other this season in the UEFA Champions League. They have a German manager in Hansi Flick who has managed some German teams including Bayern Munich which he won the Champions League and the German Bundesliga title with in 2019/20 season and that I think is an added advantage for the current Spanish La Liga leaders. It's a very interesting season in the UCL and I can't wait for the new season to officially kick off.
