Atalanta qualified for the Champions League after they won the Europa League trophy last season, Atlanta journey in the Europa League last season did surprise us by beating two favourites teams such as Liverpool and Leverkusen, but still last season and this season we will see a lot of differences and also changes that has occurred from the squad, performance and consistency of all the teams which play in the Champions League, so I think the chances of Atlanta beating Liverpool if they meet again are of course very small, besides that Atalanta not an experienced team in the Champions League so far, so it is difficult for we to say if they can be make surprise us again like they did in the European League last season.

As Liverpool team performed as well as they did last season, they are trying hard to do better in this new season. The two competitions that are being discussed here are all European continental club competitions but there's a reason why one is regarded as the "Champions" League while the other is called the Europa League. The European Cup which is now known as the UEFA Champions League competition is not just the biggest club competition in Europe but the in the whole wide world and it's contested by the strongest European clubs that ever existed so as expected, it's miles away stronger than the Europa League.
Atalanta did exceptionally well in the Europa League last summer where they went on to win the competition after beating the competition's favorite Bayer Leverkusen in the final which automatically gave them a place in the UEFA Champions League this season. Atalanta if you ask me still have all it takes to have an incredible season in the UEFA Champions League competition this season but they'll need a miracle to win the competition since there are other stronger teams in the competition.

But I think it's better to wait for the results of AC Milan's match against Venezia, if he wins then the odds we get can be much higher, at least can touch 2x although it's quite difficult to imagine if against Liverpool with a good match at the beginning of the season in the domestic league and the matches that AC Milan has gone through in the domestic league, people will think that surely Liverpool can beat AC Milan easily, as well as the bookie.

That's a fair take fr. I'm not gonna lie, Madrid has been Liverpool's greatest nemesis in the last decade. Iirc, we didn't get a single win off of Real Madrid during the entire Klopp era. Hopefully this time is different but I have very little expectations — maybe Liverpool gets off with a win at Anfield but lose or draw at Real Madrid's home. Leverkusen could pose a threat, even Leipzig (let's not forget that Leipzig ended Leverkusen's unbeaten run in the Bundesliga).

These small teams too don't need to bw underestimated.
