Nobody underestimated Atalanta in the Champions League when they were the best team in Europe last season, especially as winners of the Europa League title. Atalanta is one of the best representing Serie A in the Champions League this season, but I agree that there are still stronger teams than Atalanta in the Champions League so it is very likely that Atalanta is not on the favorites list.

So far Atalanta has not started the season well, especially in Serie A. Atalanta was only able to win one of the first three matches and only got 3 points. I think any team that tries to underestimate Atalanta will be disappointed because they are full of surprises, Atalanta is the current champions of Europa League last season after defeating the team that was seen as the favorite to win the competition and this season Atalanta is among the SeriaA teams playing in the champions league. They may not have started very well in their domestic league but you can not compare their performance in the champions League competition and that of their league because they wouldn't want to disappoint their fans by not performing well in the group stages.

Atalanta may not be seen as the favourite in the champions league competition but it takes a good performance for the chances of the team to win the league to be increased so if Atalanta shows good performance in the league it won't take time for their chances of winning the champions League be increased.

Well I remember the last time they actually came to the champions league they really performed poorly resulting to their poor exit and I don't think they can make any positive effect for now because their game play hasn't improved that much and just like you said the teams in the champions league are no joke I mean these guys aren't actually playing and they are in it for the competition and I don't see Atlanta going that far.

Arsenal is also usually have problem in away games in Champions League as we watch them in last season so they also need to improve their quality specially they are missing quality finisher which give them good number of goals in big events.

Liverpool have good record on AC Milan in the past and currently, they’re still in a good position to win them even when they meet head to head. The champions league is a very competitive competition and a mediocre team does not always survive in the long run except those that have that resilience and will to fight back at all cost. AC Milan won’t be a problem to Liverpool even though they’re not a mediocre team, they can’t stand a chance against Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

Liverpool is a good team and looking at the clubs they’ll be playing against, I don’t think it’s be that easy for them. For clubs like Bologna, Lille, PSV, they may not find it hard to beat them. But other teams including AC Milan could give them a tough time even though they have the better squad to beat them, it won’t be that easy for them in my opinion.
