It seems that our expectations were too high for Dynamo Kyiv and in the end Salzburg embarrassed them in front of their fans. Although this is still the first leg, it is very difficult to imagine how Dynamo Kyiv can make a comeback in the second leg which will be held at Salzburg's home ground and maybe we can't put high hopes on the Ukrainian team.

In fact, at first we were very impressed when Dynamo Kyiv managed to eliminate Rangers in the previous round and maybe they were too confident when they were favored. Galatasaray definitely disappointed me a lot, I lost a parlay because of them, looked like it was an easy win for them on paper, definitely not something I expected at all, sad to see this.

In the end, it is champions league and getting in isn't easy, all of these teams look to get in. Remember Young Boys have been doing TERRIBLE all season long but it's been like maybe a month or so since it started, whereas they have been champions last season, which means that they are normally not a bad team, they are a great team that had just a bad period that's it.

This is why I honestly expect them to be a good team, it's just that they are not on a momentum and I believe that we are going to see them play worse at Galatasaray.

I feel like Galatasaray with home court advantage and real grass, will have a much better chance and the results will definitely be much better for them without a doubt, they have the talent and the squad to destroy young boys, but if they fail then that would be because their individual talents are greater but their team chemistry isn't. All game long we saw the difference between talented players vs being a team, and being a team managed to beat the talented players 3-2.

Galatasaray who were the favorites over young boys couldn't do much in that match, even though they fielded their best squad when facing young boys but they perform didnt optimally when facing the first leg match, the young boys who played at home actually played quite impressively, even without waiting long they was able to score a goal in the 4th minute and made the mentality of the Galatasaray players immediately drop, and even when the first half of the match was almost over they were able to increase the score to lead 2-0 over Galatasaray in the first half, when Galatasaray have Batshuayi for some reason the okan buruk didn't played him with Icardi from the start of the match and actually played him as a substitute in that match, but fortunately Galatasaray was able to score two goals in that match and reduced the score to 2-3.

Disappointed by the performance displayed by Galatasaray today. Defeat and also a red card. I know it is only the first leg and they are not out of the game yet but the chances of them getting out are pretty real. After their match against Konyaspor where their performance was mediocre, I knew they would be facing some problems against Young Boys. But I did not think they would lose though. I told at that time that they would be suffering if they kept up their mediocre performance that they did against Konyaspor.

The 2nd leg still remains and so does my opinion. If they keep up their mediocre performance like today’s they are going to be out of the Uefa Champions League. Galatasaray is a big sporting team and I don’t think they should be having problems conceding early. They need to have the fighting back mentality like Real Madrid, which they clearly lacked. Although they were able to come back into the game, they were defeated.

Mitchy Batshuayi was few minutes away from becoming the hero of his club's UEFA Champions League qualifying game against Swiss club Young Boys after coming on in the second half to score of the game to score two goals before he was denied by Ugrinic's late penalty. Young Boys if you ask me dominated the first half of the game but it was in the second half that their Turkish visitors improved their performance in the game. For now, Young Boys have an edge over Galatasaray but if you ask me if which team among them will progress to the finals of the competition, I think Galatasaray will do that when they host Young Boys in the second leg of the tie.

Young Boys is a team that often plays in the Champions League. Last season they failed in the group stage. One season later, namely the 2022/23 season, they were absent but in the 2021/22 season they also appeared in the Champions League although they also failed because they were only able to finish bottom of group f.

If they manage to beat Galasataray in Switzerland, their chances of qualifying for the 2024/25 Champions League season are not 100% yet as Young Boys need to visit Galasataray's home ground on August 28. Playing in Istanbul is a tough challenge for them as the winning score in Switzerland is very narrow.

The red card contributed to the loss, and it was a well-deserved victory for the Young Boys, they made their fans proud by winning that match in the last minutes of the game against a hyped team Galatasaray. Jose Mourinho's side will likely miss out on the Champions League next season because I don't see them having good results when Young Boys visit them at home they even struggled to level the score before the last goal, and the red card will also contribute.

Galatasaray will play better in the return match. The crowd support takes Galatasaray to a higher level. Galatasaray needs to be well prepared for the match in Istanbul to show its potential. Galatasaray lost its game discipline after falling behind 2-0 in the first match. The return match is next and I think Galatasaray will be the winner in this match.
