Any idea how Leverkusen is going to perform in the Champions League competition?

I actually want to see Leverkusen from well in the Champions League competition. For some reason, I also want to see a final between Real Madrid and Leverkusen. I think because I want to see how great coaches, Alonso and Ancelotti does against each other. I understand that this is not a good comparison and probably there is a very high chance that Real Madrid is actually going to win very easily. Because of the track record that they have in the Champions League. But it will still be something to watch. The expectation is really high from Leverkusen. I hope they will be able to deliver properly on that.
The UEFA Champions League final is for the big boys and for strong clubs that have become the main winnings, usually settled with strong tactics. Bayer Leverkusen was considered untouchable not until they got thrashed by Atalanta in the Europa League final. This was absolutely a positive result and we know how determined they were during the competitive form they developed.

It demonstrates how the level of European competition is significantly higher than the domestic league like bundesliga, correct? It was Atalanta who defeated Leverkusen in the Europa League. You can imagine when Leverkusen will play in the UCL next season. Xabi's club will compete against a number of very powerful clubs. These teams are even stronger than Atlanta.
Xabi must ensure his side is well-prepared for the UCL competition. It's getting even harder than before. Leverkusen consistently failed in the group stage and round of 16. The new format will make UCL much lengthier than before.

More strength is required for any club to get to the quarterfinals or semifinals. I don't mistrust Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, but UCL is very different from the Bundesliga. It's packed of strong teams. Leverkusen might possibly rejoin Atalanta.
I'm hoping Atalanta can face Leverkusen in the same group. If that happens, I'll always root for Atlanta.

Xabi must dig deeper in order to gain more experience at UCL. Being untouchable in the Bundesliga is nothing compared to European competitions such as the Europa League or the Champions League.

Even though they managed to end the season as an undefeated team in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is not yet experienced enough in the Champions League, they must be prepared tactically and mentally to face strong teams such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan and PSG. Xabi Alonso must be able to maintain the quality of his team to face next season which is full of challenges, perhaps signing several quality players is needed to add depth to his squad. Leverkusen could make a surprise in the Champions League like Dortmund did this season, but to become champions in this competition requires high concentration and maintaining consistent performance.

I'm focusing on quality over quantity. The only best from the best can win the UCL, and Madrid is my favorite club to win it again.

You are really confident in Real Madrid.

Statistically the game seems like that, but there will always be surprises. With the increase in the number of matches it will be more draining, the quality of the team could be poor in some matches and we cannot predict at this time. I don't doubt Real Madrid, but with a large number it will put more pressure on the strength of each participant. So the quantity of matches will have an impact on the quality of the team as well.  Currently, we are still waiting for 7 participants from the playoffs.

In my opinion, quality and quantity must be balanced in this case. I think you understand what I am saying here. It is not surprising that Real Madrid is still the favorite team to win the title, because they are indeed a very strong team, especially with the arrival of new players in their squad who are believed to be able to make them even more frightening on the front lines. That is a very good thing for them of course.

However, you need to remember that the better the team, the more people will want to tackle them and Real Madrid will definitely feel that. Usually a team's motivation will be much greater when they face a team that is considered the strongest. It will not be easy for them to defend the Champions League, because other teams will also prepare as well as possible. You're right, the schedule is getting tighter now so it will have a bit of an impact, a team has to have an even squad depth to deal with this.

Apart from the fact that Real Madrid have a nice squad, there are other competitive teams like Liverpool that you just mentioned though i doubt their ability since Jurgen Klopp will be ending his coaching Job with the team the other clubs includes, Manchester city, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Arsenal those are the teams with fairly good squad that can be able to compete the Champions league trophy with Real Madrid.
The Champions League is filled with competitive clubs representing other competitive leagues, so not only Real Madrid has a good squad, even several top clubs also have good players and the Champions League is quite a difficult competition, especially competition between top clubs. However, Real Madrid's experience in the Champions League can be proof of how good their performance is, which will be a tough opponent for other clubs in the Champions League. I doubt Liverpool will appear strong there even though they still have good players because we don't know whether Liverpool's new coach's abilities will be better from Jurgen Kloop.

For the other clubs you mentioned, I believe they will be tough challengers for Real Madrid, but don't forget Inter Milan, Milan, Juventus and Leverkusen, which will also be challenger clubs for Real Madrid, especially I want to see Leverkusen become an undefeated club in the league and next season he will compete in the Champions League. We'll see if this club can make it difficult for other big clubs, especially when facing Real Madrid or Manchester City, which are the strongest candidates there.

this is very reasonable if the increase in participants can interfere with the energy or physicality of players who have to exert more energy when the match schedule is busier, but I believe that even though there will be an increase in participants in the UCL, the match schedule will still be arranged fairly and the coaches will rotate the players as best as possible to maintain the stability of their performance and we know how Ancelotti is always successful in rotating players fairly so that the performance of the main players can always be better when appearing in the UCL.
IMO, the biggest problem or surprise that occurred was not the addition of UCL participants but the surprise of a main player who suffered a serious injury and that's when the surprise occurred.

well, from all that we really can't predict everything because this is football that hasn't started yet and we can only speculate and when a fan really believes in his favorite team, I think that's natural and even I still have confidence if additional participants don't will affect Madrid performance and will remain the favorite team to hold the UCL title. The current Real Madrid squad is not bad, all the players are in their best form, the arrival of Mbappe makes this Los Blancos squad even stronger as others say, I believe the game statistics have improved again.

The last few seasons Real Madrid's player purchases have never failed, maybe what failed was the purchase of Eden Hazard in the past but now they are investing more in young players who have talent and in the future will have high market value.

What is careful is the arrival of Mbappe for free while last season offered him 200 million this is really a good strategy done by Real Madrid.
I once said that Mbappe is a selfish player and doesn't really care about other players. He seemed to really prioritize individual achievements over team achievements during his time at PSG, so I hope the atmosphere in the Real Madrid dressing room never changes after his arrival. Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Mbappe have their own egos, if these players don't get along then the team's performance will never be as expected.

I don't want to see Real Madrid's performance decline after Mbappe is in the squad, of course I hope for a better performance compared to the previous season. Mbappe is a free purchase which is expected to make Real Madrid even more feared in the world as a team, so it is hoped that all players can make a good contribution and work together throughout next season.

Real Madrid has many senators in the team, and Mbappe even if he is a top player will have to respect the hierarchies of the locker room, I don't think they will let the newest player do what he wants even if he is the best. I would rather focus on the coach who will have to find a way to use all these champions without leaving anyone unhappy. Ancelotti will have a lot of work to do

I agree with you on that, because Mbappé can arrive in a very capricious way to a Madrid where basically he can't and shouldn't do things the way he wants, Madrid is not PSG and that was one of the reasons why they didn't want Mbappé to come to Madrid and I think that here the one who is going to make the difference without a doubt is going to be Ancelotti, because above all he is a gentleman who must be respected, everyone at Madrid respects him and knows that he is more than a coach, he is like a father to them, when he found out that Kross was leaving, Carletto cried, so Ancelotti is more than a coach to them, that's why I don't think that Mbappé will arrive with that emphasis of wanting to do whatever he wants.

All the football lovers actually missed the opportunity to watch Ancelotti and Xavi Alonso when Alonso and his boys was unable to win the Europa League. Else it would have been in the Super Cup that we will watch these two great managers. Champions League might not be the best place to see them meet because they might not even meet till is eliminated. Unless they are both on the same group. Without being told we are all aware that Real Madrid has the most complete squad for the next season Champions League. So should not compare Real Madrid as a team with Bayer Leverkusen,  neither do we do that with their coaches they are in different classes. While Ancelotti is a legend, Alonso is pretty new in the industry but with the capacity to break and make history.

Getting to the champions league final is something that some teams find to be an achievement even without them really getting to be able to win the trophy because it's no news how much the champions league can be very competitive especially in the fact that it's the assembly of top team who are considered tops in their various leagues, this give the champions league that prestigious feel that always comes with it most often, whenever it's been spoken about or mentioned amongst other Leagues, the bigger teams who get to compete at this level are top teams.

Tactics of a team matters a whole lot in that champions league a s that is why they will most likely not be able to be really do perfectly in their domestic league, but in the champions league they will bring out the very best of their performance to be able to see if they will have an opportunity at the prestigious trophy across Europe Leverkusen may not get to the finals so let's not even try to make comparisons with the finals of the Europa league title ast hey aren't the same team even if they are both seen as top leagues across Europe and sometimes international football.

The UEFA Champions League is never considered simple, there's actually good proportions of winning. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool have proven to be prominent in recent seasons and having a bright future ahead is the deal. Real Madrid is the best club because they've become one of the successful club. While for other elite team that's mainly struggling to win the UCL trophy, really a tough moment.
The Champions league is very competitive, a league among champions from different leagues is supposingly to be a tough one and for Madrid to keep on winning it shows their greatness compared to other champions. This coming Champions league will be a tough one compared to the last, each qualified teams are currently on a good form to withstand as much  competitor so the fight for the title won't be an easy one but yet Madrid still has it at the tip of their fingers as they are more likely the favourites to win it again. Manchester City will put on a good fight same with Arsenal and probably among the best from Leverkusen base on peoples speculation.

Next season's Champions League will be tough, and I believe Real Madrid will not have the potential to win it since many clubs are negotiating better deals with other clubs in order to compete in the Champions League next season. If you say Manchester City can compete extremely well, I will believe you. However, I don't think Arsenal can do anything. Even in the Premier League they normally get lucky to win trophies and then start performing weakly and lose the title. They have many clubs who will not like Madrid to win next season, but with Mbappe on the team he will be the brightness to the club next season and make the fans happy and achieve another champion league titles.

Any team will have to work hard to win titles this season, because Real Madrid got a star very young. The striker is greatly needed in midfield, but will now face massive competition to tackle the situation as Manchester City face off. But the Arsenal team will not be able to resist these two teams in any way, the current Arsenal team is very weak.
But they are interested enough to make the deal, if the deal is executed the best performance will be much more than possible. But now Manchester City and Real Madrid are the top two teams in the current list.

It is better of expectations from Bayern Leverkusen is lowered because the way the team is been hyped so much is very alarming. If they don’t perform as much as people want them to, it will be a big disgrace to the team and also a big disappointment to those that have great hope in them to do well after a successful season last time. Bayern Leverkusen and Real Madrid meeting in the final looks very impossible to me because of the calibre of teams that will be participating in that competition which Bayern Leverkusen does not stand the strength of some of them or can eliminate them if they meet along the competition. I know sometimes it happen by luck and sometimes by hardwork and sometimes by both. But the probability of them to succeed and meet in the final is very small and I don’t want to even think of that possibility because all odds stands against it been happening.

I don't really know how Bayern Leverkusen have became a center of attraction in the upcoming champions league season because even Europa league that they got to the final stages but yet they lost woefully to Atalanta even on a humiliating 3:0 defeat as to say that they can withstand the pressure of champions league because the champions league is more tensed than the Europa league. Right from the ending of last season, a lot of people have been predicting on Real Madrid to claim the title again next season.
Don't be surprised how the Bayer Leverkusen become attractive in upcoming champion league next season is there performance that make people's was having hoped for them right from this, because how the Bayer Leverkusen have a great form this season in Europe league in my view is only few teams that can able to challenge them in the champion league in next coming season.
Quote

I don't doubt the fact that Bayern Leverkusen can make things happen in the champions league next season after all their display last season was so outstanding but yet we can't be sure if they can still continue in that same spirit next season. Xabi Alonso is a good coach and we can't Underrate his coaching skills so he can still take every one by surprise next season just same way he did last season.
With they way Bayern Leverkusen displayed their performance in Europe league this season I can underrate them that something most in the champion league next season. Because they have a better manager that is leading them to the right point which is xabi Alonso and I'm very sure that it can continue from where he stop in the Europe league and make positive results in the champion league too.

You know the Champions league game is always a game that can not be predicted because of the the kind of teams that are always present in the league with good experience.  It is possible for Bayer Leverkusen to make the competition to be interesting but it is hard to predict if they will reach the finals. The competition in champions league is always tough,  strong teams don't joke with champions league  most times it is common to see teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City,  PSG,  Bayern Munich at the end of the competition,  these are experience teams that are used to champions league. Bayer Leverkusen have a good coach but I'm not believing it will be the reason for them to get to the final.
Just as you mentioned, Champions League is different from any other tournament in the club side, it is the biggest competition in the Europe and the best teams in the world do compete in the Champions League; I don’t think Leverkusen can be mentioned among the favorites to win the title despite their performance in the just concluded season.

Leverkusen is a good team with team work I must say, but rating them above teams like Manchester City, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and other big teams in the Champions League is not proper because these teams can do better than Leverkusen in the Champions League.

On the other hand, Leverkusen can still display and outstanding performance in the Champions Next season just as they did in the Europa League, but it will be very difficult for them to reach the final.
In football, it's easier to defy all odds and have a great season but maintaining the impressive performances and results of the same same season is actually more difficult than than winning all the trophies. Bayer Leverkusen last season were simply one of the best clubs in Europe as they even went on to win the German Bundesliga as well as the DFB-Pokal. Bayer Leverkusen's only defeat of last season was the one they suffered in the hands of Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final.
Next season, they'll have to defend their title as well as live up to the expectations of their club fans of which I think will be more demanding than that of last season. Bayer Leverkusen in my own opinion will do well in the UEFA Champions League competition but I don't think they'll be able to go past the quarter final stage of the competition.

Many predict that Bayer Leverkusen will be the center of attention in the next Champions League and want to see how Xabi Alonso competes with many outstanding coaches who have experience in the Champions League, but we cannot guarantee to what extent Leverkusen can survive in the Champions League despite the previous unbeaten achievements, it is possible but it may not be what we imagine or go the other way and cannot survive even in the group qualification.

But it is interesting how far Xabi Alonso will take Bayer Leverkusen, whether it will reach the final like Dortmund or not.
To a very great extent Bayer Leverkusen will mostly be the center of attention because most persons will be looking forward to what their performance will look like if they are going to replicate the Europa league performance at the champions league competition. Competing with other top a d experienced Coaches who has got both the champions league experience and probably their domestic league experiences which may turn out another competitive one, xabi will have to put up na outstanding performance to be able to cope or last long enough in the champions league.

If the Leverkusen is able to perform as much as Dortmund did then I would say it was a tremendous performance especially for Xabi as his first attempt came out that good. This new champions league policy may not allow most team go too far because in the group stage they may have to play against almost everyone before proceeding to the next stage for those with higher points just like the domestic league settings and this I see to be more stressing and which will mean more work for Leverkusen if they must stay top of the table amongst top team as they would want to.

Well if not for anything then maybe probably due to the fact that all teams will try their very best this time not to allow Madrid be the champions again. I believe the main focus now will be for other teams to actually check mate the whole Madrid tactics so they can look for a way to stop them because it would be really annoying to Madrid with the champions league again because it would be as if the whole champions league was made and crafted for them.

It won't be easy and although their stats were good last season, that doesn't necessarily mean they' ll be better next season.
We had a lot of surprises last season where clubs that had previously played well were unable to compete in the Champions League because the level of the Champions League is different from domestic competitions so if Xabi and Leverkusen want to make next season more visible then they have to work harder to realize that .

In addition they must be prepared that they will be a concern so for next season they must try to strengthen mentally and thicken their faces if the results do not match the expectations of many people because criticism will definitely be directly directed at them.
This is a difficult situation because apart from the demand for Xabi to perform well, they are also now required to be mentally stronger so that their performance is not fixated on criticism from fans and the media next season.

As long as Mbappe doesn't have the same behavior as he did at PSG then I think everything will go well and even Madrid will get better and I'm sure of that. Indeed, we know that Mbappe still has a selfish nature in him and that is a normal thing because he is a talented player and his age is still very young so it will be very difficult to control but on the other hand I am quite sure Ancelotti can suppress Mbappe's ego while in Madrid.

We know that Madrid have a lot of young and talented players but from season to season we can see the level of their ego is not big because they can always be controlled well by Ancelotti including for new players like Jude who came last season he can also adapt well in the end. This may happen to Mbappe because he must realize that this is Real Madrid not PSG when he is acting up then Perez can make him leave at any time.

To some people, they think the arrival of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is probably gonna cause some rifts among the top footballers in the club. We understand that Vinicius and Jr used to be Real Madrid's best forward player before the arrival of Kylian Mbappe so some think he would not want the France international to be recognized ahead of him in the club but I seriously do not think that's gonna happen because of the kind of managing that's managing the Real Madrid squad.
Carlo Ancelotti's Ancelotti is a calm, cool and collected manager but one thing yet he instils absolute discipline on his squad which is why I think he's gonna spell things out for the team from the very beginning of next season so they work together as a team instead of fighting for individual accolades. The arrival of Kylian Mbappe will not bring any sort of confusion to the Real Madrid team rather it'll help the team to continue  to dominate Europe
Of course, there will be assumptions like that, but just like you I don't agree if you say this will be a split in the Madrid camp just because Mbappe and Vini have the same position.

As I've said before, Ancelotti and Madrid have always been able to lower the egos of the players and the proof is that Jude, Tchouameni or Camavinga don't even have an excessive attitude even though they are placed in different positions and even in some statements they hate their position being moved but they respect all the decisions of the coach because it is aimed at making the club better.
Likewise for the case of Vini and Mbappe because I think they already know that personal interests are not greater than the interests of the club so they must know that they can work together more and Ancelotti knows what he has to do without having to sacrifice one of them.

I still believe that for next season the trio of Vini, Mbappe and Rodrygo will adorn Ancelotti's 4-3-3 line-up and scheme which will indirectly make the position of Vini or Mbappe to be moved to CF.

Guaranteed 1/8 finals and then how lucky they will be with the draw. With the new format, I don't think Bayer will have problems finishing in the top half of the group. If the competition were held in the old format, then reaching the 1/8 would also be guaranteed since Bayer, as the German champion, would be in the first pot and the likelihood that a group would turn out like Group F this season is very small.
