Real Madrid are a really special team... Let's take the last season as an example. They weren't in their best shape right? But what happened? They still managed to win the Champions League title.  Grin

This wasn't because of luck. You can't go all that way to the end only thanks to being lucky. We are talking about one of the biggest European tournaments. This season they are going even worse here. Seeing them at the 24th position can make people think whether they will say goodbye early. But I don't think so. They have been struggling with injuries too. I believe we will still see the same competitive Real Madrid sooner or later.
Yeah they were struggling from the group stage.

Few match ended dramatic because they won by comeback in the last minutes, they even an underdog in final match, really crazy to follow how Real Madrid can become a champion.

I think Ancelotti will take a big move, which is put Mbappe on bench.

Real Madrid has often come from behind but they cannot afford to take it lightly this time as this is the first time the new format has been introduced, so if they don't take it seriously then they might just get knocked out. I agree that Ancelotti should have started thinking about benching Mbappe because besides being an option, it might make Mbappe better. There are times when a player can be better when he is left on the bench because he will reflect and try to improve himself to become a starter again.
This is not the time to bench Mbappe, because the squad is not complete and Vini is still on injury. If Mbappe does not want to improve his performance and pick form, when most of the players are back to fitness, Mbappe can be on the bench so that he can know that he's not playing as expected. I just hope that Real Madrid can qualify to the second round if not the competition will not be that interesting.

Madrid must win their remaining three games if they want to increase their chances. This challenge will not only test the quality of the squad, but also Ancelotti strategy. However, the problem is that in the next match they will face Atalanta who have performed consistently throughout this season. I cannot say that Real Madrid will beat Atalanta again like in the last meeting between the two teams in the European Super Cup because Atalanta is a very productive and disciplined team in defense.
The previous 3 defeats have made Madrid have a very small chance although it is still open to qualify for the next round, the poor performance caused by player injuries has made them far from the word favorite this season in UCL, the next match against Atalanta will be a very crucial match, because after all, get once again defeat will actually close their chance of qualifying, although Madrid previously managed to beat Atalanta,  But their improvement in form this season has been remarkable, so I think they have the potential to avenge the defeat in the  European Super Cup  previously.

I think you are a little bit optimist as reality proves totally the inverse. Real Madrid is facing his worst days actually and surely has difficulties to overcome it.

"An insult to Real Madrid today at San Mamés. There is no escape from hell, Real Madrid rejected Barcelona's gift and refused to lead the league on a bad night in all aspects. The pressure increased on Carlo and Mbappe, whose condition has become dangerous. Mbappe is on a path that no one can imagine, even his worst enemies. Even if Real Madrid wins the postponed match, he will remain behind Barcelona. This season, Real Madrid will come out with a zero season and successive scandals."

This was one of the statements made by a Barcelona fan after the last match Real Madrid lost two days ago against Bilbao in an attempt to confirm that Real is no longer the first star of Spain, nor is it the star of Europe as we knew it.

It seems to me that the chances for the top 8 are already lost, since there are literally 23 teams ahead that can score 15 points and they already have more points than Real. As for the top 24, in my opinion, Real will only need to score 6 points out of the remaining 9 to get there. It turns out that there is a right to make another mistake, but most likely Ancelotti himself does not have such a right.

I feel that Girona did not do so well in the UCL this season of we look at how strong they were in the La Liga last season. I had expected them to be at the same level as Aston Villa who have been doing very well bith in the Champions league and the league as well but Girona is neither doing well in the champions league nor the La Liga.  Assuming they were able to qualify for next round, they would have raised more funds to bring in some new faces to the club next season.

For a not so regular UCL appearance, I want to think Girona is even trying even if this season hasn't been that smooth for them but we shouldn't be expecting much as I see them as a team that's still at that stage of gathering experience when the make appearance in the UCL until maybe some time in the future they get pass this point but for now I see it like it's the stage which they are at. It will be better for them if they see it that they get to gather experiences off the UCL while they put in the effort in the bundesliga where they can build some more chances at the title race.

Their strength is not that good this season and they are not performing like last season which managed to be one of the strong teams in competing. I doubt they are able to qualify for the next round because so far Girona's performance has been unstable and they still have many shortcomings to compete with some other strong teams in the Champions League. Even in La Liga itself Girona's performance is not so stable and they are not at a good level like last season.

If they want to compete then there is no way other than recruiting some of the players needed and relying on the current strength will make it difficult for Girona to face the pressure in the Champions League. Lastly they had to be eliminated in the Copa Deal Rey even though the opponent they faced was much easier, but because the match ended in a draw it had to be decided through penalties.

Their first season in this competition is more about gaining experience and understanding the intensity of competition that takes place in the UCL with against big teams, so indeed they can't do too much in the UCL when facing strong teams, like as Feyenoord, PSG and eindhoven who have experience and better performance in the UCL, however, like  your said, the experience Girona have gained from UCL games this season will be invaluable for their future development, although there is no guarantee that they will be able to qualify for the UCL again if remember their inconsistent form in La Liga so far.

As @Palakka said, it doesn't matter if Girona has a bad performance this season because this is the first time Girona has competed in the UCL. Certainly Girona does not have the experience to manage the team as well as possible to perform consistently in several competitions.
And previously I also said last season that Girona good performance last season was just luck when the top teams were busy competing in more prestigious competitions and Girona was able to take advantage of the opportunity well. I also said that this season Girona will definitely have difficulties because the top teams are trying to improve their performance and Girona will not be able to compete like last season.
So there is no need to expect more from Girona to have the same level as Aston Villa.

Girona is 30th in the standings with 3 games left to play and clearly has a chance of less than 5% to enter the play off round. For that reason Girona can only play as hard as possible without taking risks, because the clubs above them will also compete to win the play-off zone. But if Dovbyk is still there, maybe Girona performance will be a little better in the UCL.
Girona is very difficult to enter the play off round especially what he will face is Liverpool who is the top of the current standings team, there is no great hope here for Girona.

I think his hopes are too small for Girona, after competing Liverpool he will compete with Milan and after meeting Milan they will compete with Arsenal, this is very difficult for Girona, and I think they will go home in this round.

Girona has a Champions League remaining against quite tough teams. The 3 teams are Liverpool, Milan, and Arsenal. It will certainly be quite difficult for Girona to at least qualify even through the playoffs.
Girona's performance has declined this season. They performed better last season, but this season they are having problems. 5 matches with 3 points collected, it will be very difficult to be able to fight when seeing their opponents are strong teams.

It looks like it will also be interesting for the match between Dortmund vs Barcelona because after all, previously Dortmund lost to Real Madrid with a score of 5-2 and Barcelona also managed to beat Bayern Munich with a score of 4-1. But, in this moment for their results in the domestic league, I feel that Barcelona are underperforming and also, at the same time Dortmund seem to be recovering. Indeed, there is still time for them to play in the Champions League and will still have a good preparation too. But at least, because of the change in performance and their results like that, then maybe Dortmund who will play at home can make it difficult for Barcelona which based on the odds Barcelona is still quite a favorite.
Yes, this match will definitely be interesting. Although Dortmund has lost to Real Madrid in its last few matches and in the domestic league Real Madrid lost to Barcelona, it does not mean that Dortmund will be easily defeated by Barcelona. Dortmund this season in the UCL league has performed impressively, they have only lost once, this is the same as Barcelona who only lost once and both teams have collected 12 points.

Dortmund in this match certainly will not repeat the same mistake as when they lost to Real Madrid, they do not want to lose a second time when facing the Spanish representative team. Moreover, this match is played in front of their own supporters, this will be an opportunity for Dortmund to get perfect points. I myself will predict that this match will be won by Dortmund and another possibility is that this match will end in a draw.

Losing Dovbyk clearly has a big impact on Girona's attack line. Because this team currently doesn't have a sharp striker who can replace Dovbyk. And unfortunately Dovbyk at AS Roma is currently not that good either. It looks like Dovbyk should stay longer at Girona and become the top scorer again for this team like last season.

Honestly, I see that Girona will really find it difficult to qualify for the play-offs with their current condition.

Let's see, the remaining 3 matches that Girona have to face will be like hell for them. Because the opponents in these 3 matches are really very strong teams. In the next match, Girona must face Liverpool, then they must face AC Milan and finally face Arsenal. Well looking at this I don't think anyone would think Girona would be able to qualify for the play offs.

The UEFA Champions League is mainly for the elite competitive teams. We're looking at teams that are ambitious and straight towards achieving their priorities. These clubs don't relent, always coming out to ensure sealing a win comes easy on their ends. We should never underestimate Real Madrid this season because they're handicap, it doesn't mean they should fumble toward accomplishing top goals for the team. They're probably in poor shape, serving vulnerable features to oppositions. Carlo Ancelotti would be blamed for everything happening? He's only human and making paving paths that would come through. Injuries hits harder this season, the injured players are absent and that does spell doom for Los Blancos this season.

When a team is highly favored at the moment with consistent performances, I believe Liverpool will have no problem in the current group stage. A draw would be the worst result Liverpool could get because the new coach currently has a better strategy and style for this season.
The problem of injury concerns is not a big problem for Arne Slot, because he knows what he has to do to keep the players physically fit and also the transfer market will open soon and of course Arne Slot will bring in some players to find suitable reserve players to be second-string players.

The group stage is already a sealed deal in my opinion as Liverpool isn't really at threat by any team and the have already collected a good number of points. But as you could see in the Premier League, Liverpool can be vulnerable and despite the fact that Newcastle is not in their best shape, it is still possible for those teams to steal points from Liverpool. So it is not the time too feel to comfortable yet and rather be prepared for tougher and closer games in the knockout games. At least they will get around the playoff games and can use the energy in other important games.
What you say is very true, Liverpool should indeed save their energy in the remaining champions league matches at this time, because after all their position has been very safe to qualify for the knockout phase later, moreover, the remaining of the opponents that will be faced by Liverpool are not strong teams, so played the second-tier squad can be an alternative for them later, current Liverpool must focus on the EPL and also the knockout round later by keeping their main players in order to avoid injury that may occur, so far they have shown quite good and consistent performance, but still they still need to prepare mentally and physically adequately to face a more difficult match in the knockout stage later.

This will be quite an interesting match to watch, considering that both teams are equally strong this season, they have the same points in the champions league. And although Dortmund lost to Real Madrid, it was the only defeat experienced by Dortmund throughout the UCL match this season. And this is quite an important match to be won by both teams, both Barcelona and Dortmund, the result is very important to stay in the top 8 of the standings, and avoid the playoff zone.

And in this match it seems that Dortmund is quite advantaged because they are playing as the host. Signal Iduna Park, will present an extraordinary atmosphere, because The Yellow Wall is often referred to as the most total supporters, they often bring down the opponent's mentality when visiting Signal Iduna Park. But on the other hand, armed with experience, hopefully the Barcelona players can overcome this pressure and are able to give their best. And the biggest possibility is that this match will end in a draw.

I cannot say that Real Madrid will beat Atalanta again like in the last meeting between the two teams in the European Super Cup because Atalanta is a very productive and disciplined team in defense.
Real Madrid have losses 3 of 5 matches in UEFA Champion League and must win on three matches left against Atalanta, Salzburg and Brest, if losses in three matches left looks difficult not only reach directly qualifying to knock out round but also loss opportunity for playoff round match to secure one spot at round of 16. Upcoming match, Madrid have to face Atalanta keep consistent their performance not only in Champion League but also have performed well by leading the 2nd place in domestic league.

Madrid performance not quit well yet after defeating by Athletic Bilbao in domestic league and have problem several keys players are injury, wish for next match against Atalanta can stop the bad trend and Madrid secure three points break to the higher standings position or get opportunity to knock out round.
