I agree with this. Liverpool is in a superior form than Milan and they will be the undisputed favourite to win that match. The only advantage Milan has is that they're at home but even that won't matter much against Liverpool in their current form.
I understand that the Champions League is different and maybe a different atmosphere for Liverpool but I don't think that would be the case based on the level of confidence Liverpool show currently.


The Champions League is not a reason they lost their match against Leipzig, they lost because Leipzig was better. Leverkusen didn't play badly, but Leipzig was just better.
For the Champions League, the tough fixtures they'll have are against Liverpool, Inter, and Milan. They might get some points from those matches and also get a lot of points from the other matches so there's no need for them to panic. I don't think anybody is underrating them, I wouldn't.

What has happened in Serie A this season to the Atalanta team should not be taken entirely as a judgment because Atalanta could have given their best game in the Champions League this season although I also do not imagine Atalanta could beat opponents like Arsenal easily. Because in the Champions League all teams will definitely put all their best abilities into play in order to win, especially this season each team will go through a different way in the Champions League which will require each team to develop a more precise strategy.

Milan's main weakness is their defense. And I don't think they'll improve their defense any time soon. AC Milan have dropped points in all three of their matches due to poor defence. The team conceded 6 goals in 3 matches and managed to score 5 goals. Another important point is that Milan's opponents were not very strong in these three matches. Even so, Milan conceded 6 goals.

Milan's opponents in the Champions League, Liverpool, are very strong. And Liverpool have plenty of talented players in their midfield and forward lineup. The players are also in good form now. To be honest you are right because I saw a serious decline in AC Milan performance compare to what they had on there pre season matches, I mean they were so impressive and even myself I was almost certain they would do the same on this league but it seems they are doing the opposite, seeing how they beat real Madrid and Manchester City on the pre season match without being told anybody can come to the conclusion that they will certainly do the same but watching them now is as if they were just showcasing themselves trying to prove to people that they are not be underestimated.

Even if they did not improve more on this season they should have at least maintain the performance they had last season but on the contrary they have drop so low, actually if they did not qualify for the champions League next season there fans will be very disappointed in them because it shows that there performance is not stable.

The match between Manchester City and Inter Milan is going to be a different ball game compared to what we saw the last time they met in the Champions league final. I don't expect Manchester City to lose that game. Moreover it is very rare for Manchester City under Pep Guardiola to lose first match of the season. The final was a bit tough because Manchester City were being careful enough to avoid mistakes that might cost them the title back then. Having lost the previous final to Chelsea the pressure was high for Manchester City to win the only trophy that they were lacking. But now Manchester City are playing without any pressure when it comes to winning the Champions league. Inter Milan are going to fight for a win but to me Manchester City are the favourite to take the three points. With the way they have started the season, it will take something extraordinary for inter Milan to stop Manchester City.

UCL league is the best league in football and any team that wins it knows what they went through before winning, real Madrid won the 15 Champions League and knew what they felt before winning the trophy, they played against big teams and worked hard to make sure they win the game. I like how the way the new UCL table looks, this season Champion League is going to be tough because there are many big teams in the league this season and there will be many challenges in the league.

Some big teams that will not be worried about the league are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and other big teams that know how to play the league, bay Leverkusen is playing in the champion league this season and I don't think they can defeat some big team's because Leipzig has defeated them in Bundesliga league and that shows that they can't play like the way they did last season.

An interesting fact about Liverpool when playing against Milan is that Milan have not been able to beat Liverpool since 2008. It's funny because Milan have not been able to beat Liverpool for more than 15 years, which means that Liverpool have this historical advantage in games against Milan.

Now with a new coach they are playing better, they have had a good defense and honestly I see this current Liverpool with a good chance of winning the European Champions League again. But I don't see Milan being able to win the European Champions League, they were a very strong team in the years 2000 - 2010, they won the Champions League in the 2006 - 2007 season. Today they only make average signings, it doesn't even seem like a team that had Ronaldinho, Kaka, Cafu, Seedorf, Dida. Today they have a very low level squad.

About City's game against Inter, it will be a balanced game. Inter are strong.

About Atalanta's game against Arsenal, it is a difficult game to predict, Arsenal have been terrible in the Champions League

We have seen Milan perform well in friendly matches before the start of the season. We thought AC Milan would come back stronger this season. About AC Milan vs Liverpool this is their first met after 2021 in Champion league and if we see based on head to head statistics in the last few years both teams has been met several times and i can see Liverpool has good records from Milan moreover we all know although both teams has new manager but Liverpool performance is much better compared to Milan because Liverpool under Arne Slot still managed their unbeated records since pre season tour and if we see from their recent performance i think Liverpool should be able to overcomes Milan

In my opinion, Atalanta are not very strong this season, they have just suffered two consecutive defeats in Serie A. Arsenal, who are performing well, are one level above Atalanta, but Arteta must remain focused by fielding his best squad in order to achieve victory. Atalanta were so easy to beat in Serie A, they are very difficult to repeat the success achieved in the Europa League last season. For the first time new format present with 36 teams participants and each team have eight difference opponent teams in league phase, drastically difference with old format each participants only have 6 matches on group phase and face only with three difference opponent teams with home and away format. But have bad side for players with busy schedule matches in domestic league and must playing until eight matches in Champion League for the first time, I don't know how possibility with international schedule very busy and players return to their club with injury will bring bad impact for teams its self.
Its long schedule of league phase start from September 17 or one week later after international break out and finish at February 11 or next year than usually old format group phase taken until the end of December only.

36 teams have been identified and they are ready to compete for victory and champion. With a new format, of course, there are new challenges. There will be more matches. If I'm not mistaken, it has increased 2 times to 225 matches. It looks scary, because this is related to the fitness condition of the players. Maybe we will watch a lot of matches but the players may also be tired. The League phase will start on September 17 and the knockout phase on February 11.

They lost big to Atalanta at their home stadium Anfield last season in Europa League and this is a painful lesson for Liverpool. Meeting Atalanta again in this season is a good opportunity for Liverpool to prove that their defeat last season is simply an accident and they are actually stronger and better than Atalanta.

To beat Atalanta, Liverpool must avoid same attitude, too confident like the last season, and can reduce risk of counter attacks from Atalanta. It will help them to minimize risk of losing against this opponent one more time.

Liverpool are performing impressively with their new head coach Slot but all teams have to fail some day. Liverpool are good but not too strong like a dominating team so that they can have unbeaten season like Leverkusen last season. Soon Liverpool will lose their first match in this season and it can come from any opponent. Liverpool are not perfect and Slot has many things to do with his players in this season.

I think it is true that top teams can do well in their country league but struggle in Champions League. But I believe new format will make them play even better. Well I had to quote both post to emphasize on the sentence the result are always unexpected.  I can say that the result might be unexpected not because of the assumption that club that performed poorly in their  domestic league can perform better in UCL( that's totally wrong though) why? Every club that participates in UCL are taken from the selection of top table finishers and I don't expect a team who performed woefully in their domestic league  to get selected in the first place. Thus about  the result, since the system changed a little them we should also be expecting some new results (so it's still very possible to have an unexpected results this time around) but at the same time I won't be surprised to see the opposite
