I agree that Liverpool must be careful with Atalanta. The bad performance in Serie A doesn't reflect the possibility of Atalanta in UCL. They may have bad luck in the early matches in Serie A, but it doesn't mean they will have bad luck in UCL matches as well. Sometimes a certain team has a stronger motivation when they play in UCL or UEL. It can be caused by their good history in the competition or the prestige value of the competition.
They lost big to Atalanta at their home stadium Anfield last season in Europa League and this is a painful lesson for Liverpool. Meeting Atalanta again in this season is a good opportunity for Liverpool to prove that their defeat last season is simply an accident and they are actually stronger and better than Atalanta.

To beat Atalanta, Liverpool must avoid same attitude, too confident like the last season, and can reduce risk of counter attacks from Atalanta. It will help them to minimize risk of losing against this opponent one more time.

I'm a Liverpool fan and if I'm being honest, that stats about not conceding any goals so far is just good for the records. The real test is going to be how long this Liverpool team can go before they lose it. My guess? Pretty soon.
Liverpool are performing impressively with their new head coach Slot but all teams have to fail some day. Liverpool are good but not too strong like a dominating team so that they can have unbeaten season like Leverkusen last season. Soon Liverpool will lose their first match in this season and it can come from any opponent. Liverpool are not perfect and Slot has many things to do with his players in this season.

But indeed, usually some elite teams have different results to the ones they have in the domestic league and in the Champions League because indeed, even though elite teams have good results in the domestic league, but the reality is that it is still possible for them to get bad results in the Champions League. But even so, when the matches have not started yet then surely we will have at least the same voice about the good chance for the elite teams in the Champions League, they still have a chance to win. What's more, with this new format because the system also has to get as many points as possible then of course these elite teams might perform even more optimally in the Champions League this season.

Snip
I think it is true that top teams can do well in their country league but struggle in Champions League. But I believe new format will make them play even better. They will need to get as many points as possible to move forward so they will try harder. This will make competition more exciting and challenging. I am looking forward to seeing how teams change their approach to win. We are still getting used to new format but I think it will make Champions League more fun and unpredictable.

Indeed, when talking about Champions League matches, the results are always unexpected. Clubs that perform poorly in the Domestic League are actually focused on the opportunity to do better in the Champions League. Therefore, Liverpool should not underestimate Inter who have indeed performed poorly in Serie A. Moreover Arsenal will get a fairly difficult opponent like Atalanta, they were the Europa League champions last season and in terms of Atalanta game is strong enough to make Arteta game plan difficult.
I disagree if you conclude the results of UCL matches "always unexpected". I think it can be true if we say "sometimes unexpected".

IMO, every team should still focus on the domestic leagues until the end of the season. Even if they don't perform well there, it is impossible to put it aside. Each team must try to do their best in their domestic leagues, they have a minimum target to be achieved. For example Liverpool and Atalanta, they must keep their focus on domestic leagues because they will try to finish again in the UCL zone at least.

Well I had to quote both post to emphasize on the sentence the result are always unexpected.  I can say that the result might be unexpected not because of the assumption that club that performed poorly in their  domestic league can perform better in UCL( that's totally wrong though) why? Every club that participates in UCL are taken from the selection of top table finishers and I don't expect a team who performed woefully in their domestic league  to get selected in the first place. Thus about  the result, since the system changed a little them we should also be expecting some new results (so it's still very possible to have an unexpected results this time around) but at the same time I won't be surprised to see the opposite

Milan did not have a good start to the 3 matches. In contrast to Liverpool's performance in the Premier League, they won 3 matches in full, without even conceding a goal.
But we know that the team's performance in the Champions League is sometimes far from our predictions. Moreover, Milan will play at home, and also related to the rumor that the Milan coach might get bad luck if his team's performance does not improve.

Another interesting match is Arsenal vs Atalanta. Atalanta in Serie A has also only got 3 points from 3 matches. A bad start for a team that won the Europa League trophy last season. In terms of chances, Arsenal will definitely be more favored even though they will play at Atalanta's home.

I'm a Liverpool fan and if I'm being honest, that stats about not conceding any goals so far is just good for the records. The real test is going to be how long this Liverpool team can go before they lose it. My guess? Pretty soon.  Liverpool have won Milan a couple of times in the past so I'm sure that fixture will bring a lot of memories. I'm not saying this Liverpool team slot is building is not it but just stating some fact that Milan, despite starting poorly this season, shouldn't be underestimated.

For Arsenal vs Atalanta, My money is going to be on Arsenal because on paper, they're a much more better team than Atalanta. Let's not forget that Atalanta got battered by Inter last week and Inter would struggle against Arsenal but it's football. Anything can happen.

Domestic leagues is quite different and mostly key factor for elite clubs to win games and lift trophies. For elite clubs, we've watch the epic performance and results for most of these elite clubs in previous seasons. Manchester City and Real Madrid stands in the picture and obtaining a winning shouldn't be a challenge for them, the players understands the pressing presure and how to coupled up with the necessities. The UEFA Champions League is tough, but we expects brilliant results from elite clubs since they're more advanced than average clubs.

I mean, comparing the old format and this new format, I think in this new format the competition will be more competitive and maybe, their habits in the past will change with this new format because they also need a lot of points to qualify for the next round. With that reason, even though we're still not used to the new format, but I think the competition will be more interesting than the old format, so let's look forward to it.

Liverpool Vs Milan also sounds interesting, but Milan does not impress with their league games, with only 2 points earned in the first 3 Serie A games. Haven't checked the odds for this one yet but expect Liverpool to be a big favourite.

So 1st out of 8 matchdays will take place between Tue 17th Sep and Thu 19th Sep.
We'll see a total of 18 games, so plenty to choose from. The biggest one is probably Man City Vs Inter in Manchester. The champions of England and last year Champion's League finalists against the champions of Italy who almost made it to the UCL quarter finals (lost to Atletico Madrid on penalties).
Liverpool Vs Milan also sounds interesting, but Milan does not impress with their league games, with only 2 points earned in the first 3 Serie A games. Haven't checked the odds for this one yet but expect Liverpool to be a big favourite.

City is quoted at 1.49, and Liverpool at 1.88. Liverpool is the favorite, but the odds are close to 2, since it's an away game. Plus, we mustn't forget that this is a group tournament and the value of each game is relatively small, so we won't see an irreconcilable fight in every game. Probably the most reliable option is to make 18 bets on a draw (well, not 18, but less, since we need to exclude games like Bayern - Dynamo lol).

We can definitely see that UCL is harder than any other league, that has to be the most important part and this is why it gets so much viewership and so much money to everyone.

Normally in other leagues those big teams do get that money, like whoever finishes at the top five places and such, but in UCL everyone gets a lot, I think every team in group stages already gets like 20 million, in most leagues that's the money for the winner except a few, and only the big teams get that much in big leagues, when you go further you make more money than any other league.

So, this is why UCL is harder, because the reward is higher as well, teams like Dortmund reaching finals even for once means that they have enough money to get so many great players like they did this year. This is why every team puts the biggest emphasis on UCL, if you have a chance to rest a player for one game and play another, you rest him during the league and play him at UCL game without a doubt.

We will  enter the international break this week considering that every country will play their matches for the World Cup qualifying matches and the Uefa Nations League, and of course every team will be a little worried about whether their players will play for their country considering that the Champions League match schedule is now getting closer, clubs which you mentioned will have their first match in the Champions League this season, but I think maybe we will see many surprises that occur in the 8 matches considering that there will be many big matches that will played, but I think the Milan vs Liverpool match will be a classic match and reminds us of their very tight rivalry in the past in every Champions League match, at the start of this season Liverpool showed quite good performance in the English league and this very different from Milan who have not found their best performance so far under their new coach, but I think that is will not promise an easy match for Liverpool in later.

I think these two games that you stated above will be the most interesting on that day. It will be lovely to see City and Inter clashing but I think City have the high chance of winning Inter because they are playing in Etihad stadium. Inter have improved in their performance and I know that match will be a challenge for Inzaghi.

Milan is currently weak if you look at it from their recent performance, their new coach cannot understand the team and how to manage the players making it difficult for them to win matches. It is clear that Liverpool will be able to win the match but one should not use the performance of a team in their domestic league to judge in UCL.

However, although all teams have hope, not all teams can win the Champions League title. Manchester City Real Madrid Bayern Munich These three teams are currently favorites to win the Champions League title. Earlier we saw teams like Liverpool Inter Milan Arsenal along with Barcelona in the competition but we don't find them tough competition now as their team is not as strong as before.

Don't look down on Arsenal as they have the chance to win the champions league too. They haven't won it before and Mikel Arteta would love to make history as the first Arsenal manager to lead the arsenal team to the champions league trophy. It would be looking impossible until they do it because they have a very good team that can be used to win top trophies. They signed some good additions to the team and have experience too as Sterling is an experience top player that lost form due to Chelsea poor form. Being in a team with fast and sharp players, his talents might be deactivated.
All teams have the opportunity to become champions in this Champions League, the only difference is their percentage. Some have the highest percentage to the lowest percentage of chances. Like this season for example, Manchester City still has the highest percentage to become champions based on several sources, in second place is Real Madrid. However, this percentage cannot ensure whether it will happen or not, because in fact last season Manchester City had the greatest chance, but they still failed. But surely here we will think realistically where we believe more in big teams with a high percentage too. I don't think anyone will make a team that is considered the "weakest" with a small chance predicted to be able to become champions.

Arsenal consistently lacks the extra bit of winning mentality. The very core essential a champion club needs, that is what we have seen from them two seasons in a row, where they lost the league title to Manchester City.

Last year in UCL, they were pretty decent but went out in the knockouts without making it too far. I think they can't blame their team quality anymore, as they have good players all over the pitch after recent transfers. They also have very good squad depth in all areas of the pitch, bar the forward.
It is not like math but Arsenal need to win Premier League before they are able to win Champions League. Winning Champions League is harder than winning Premier League and Arsenal must achieve an easier thing first, that is winning Premier League. There is chance to win Champions League for them, even they did not win Premier League, but it's small.

Winning Premier League will help their players experience feeling of a champion and on top, that can help to increase their mentality and play better in Champions League against other champions from other leagues.
Actually there is nothing easy to win the trophy, if it's easy maybe from the beginning Arsenal have got it many times. But when talking about fierce competition, UCL is more difficult while in EPL only Man City and Liverpool will be Arsenal's obstacles in winning the trophy. The Gunner has been waiting for this moment for a long time while at UCL I still haven't seen a great opportunity for them to lift the trophy.
In English Premier League or other league tournaments, the competition is usually between two or three teams, but the Champions League is a tournament where each team is strong, so each team has a tough competition in each round. Just as Arsenal can do well, Real Madrid have always done well, Manchester City have been performing very well in the Champions League recently and Bayern Munich are among the best performing teams in our list. This tournament is organized with the best teams of Europe and there are many tough competitors to win this tournament so these tournaments are always very challenging for every team. Real Madrid succeeded in this challenge last season, surely we will see another team this time.

Winning the Champions League means achieving European supremacy, so no one usually wants to be left behind in this battle. Many teams dream of qualifying for the Champions League, while teams that regularly qualify for the Champions League dream of winning the Champions League.

Your assertion of this top three teams to win the champions league competition may be right but for other teams you’ve mentioned not to have hope in winning the champions league along this other big three teams you’ve picked may also be right but could also not be so. The champions league competition is not the one that you can predict well when the matches have not yet began. You have to see the performance of each and every team before you can make some conclusions on them. I believe this your conclusions were based on last season’s performance by each team. We may see a surprise one this season and the most underrated team could pull up a great performance that will make other top teams you’ve mentioned not even make it far in the competition.
There have been updates in UCl rules, so i won't look down on any team for not having hope in winning the UCL. The competition is a whole different level, every team there is tough and competitive. There shouldn't be any chance for a team to see another as a weaker team in the ucl. The reason is that even the teams considered to be weak, and we don't expect them to go far in the competition do have better performance in the game. The three teams he mentioned can go far, but they have to pass other teams who are there to stop them from winning the league. Any mistake from them might hinder their success.

According to the schedules first fixtures of Champion league will be starting on September 17th - September 19th and according to the list i was found some interesting matches which we can called those are big matches such as

AC Milan vs Liverpool
Manchester City vs Internazionale Milan
Atalanta vs Arsenal

I haven't checked the odds yet for these matches but i am sure Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal will being an the favourite in this matches however here is the fixtures of champion league for week 1 below

it will be something studied in advance to already decide a championship, it seems to me that with this formula the best of the tournament are already paired, and it is something that penalizes many teams, I think that Atalanta vs Arsenal could have been a quarter-final match instead it's just at the beginning not to mention the others, let's say it makes a nice profit but we risk losing the big clubs along the way right away

even with arsenals currents form, it's still becoming more deficult to think of winning the trophy in the midst of the current teams at the champions league that are not relenting at all in Thier form. Real Madrid which is the defending champion is still going for the 16th, man city is at the best form to potentially win the UCL and Dortmund has gotten a strong encouragement after they've managed to get to the finals of last sessions champions league. This season will be very competitive and coupled with the structure of matches for this edition of the champions league, it's going to require dedication and a combined effort of all team players if any team is hoping to win in this champions league. Arsenal will go far in the champions league for the season but to win it is rather too ambitious to think of.
