@Harko wow. I bet against Celtic in the first leg, thinking cluj would pull the upset at home but damn, these sure things really do falter. Rodgers left but not his mark it seems. Lots to catch up for Scottish football and now another season to wait. Shame.

Too bad I wasn't betting. Quite a few shocks... Porto fought back but wow Krasnodar whoever you are =/

Come on Ajax. Put $100 on them. Hope they will also this years surprise in the CL. :-p
2-1 ; )
Went for Ajax as well. Nuts to see that they didnt manage to make any goal after the first one with the truckload of chances they had and a missed penalty. Lets see how they hold out the final 10 minutes.

And another penalty. ;-) all is fine again. Let's see what the next round brings

Forgot today was CL qualifying round, last week I was thinking of going for a parlay, just for fun I don't usually pay attention to this CL rounds, but oh well, guess i'll wait for the play-off.

Btw, half-time and Ajax 1 - 1 PAOK. Other results: Celtic 0 - 1 Cluj, and Porto 0 - 2 Krasnodar  Shocked  What the hell is Cluj? LOL

So many upset right now mate! I'm more surprised with Porto losing 2 - 0 at home to be honest, earlier today it was Apoel with over 4 odds, winning against Qarabag.

I'll just hope Celtic and Ajax will make it through, and I think Porto is done already.

I think for me the most interesting match is Fc Kopenhagen vs Crvena Zvedia as the first leg has finished 1-1 and I think the stronger team is the Serbian team. They will try to attack tonight as they need a goal at all cost but the Danish team will try to defend and try the counter attack.I will bet on Crvena Zvedia and the odd is big.

Tonight we will see second leg games of third qualifying round. And none of teams can be confident yet about reaching next round. Today I bet on Porto, Olympiakos and Rosenborg wins. And I made one risky bet - Dinamo Zagreb win against Ferencvaros @2.12. They are just better team. I also have no doubts that Ajax will reach next round.

But we are still in Knockout face which doesn't have any clubs like Barca or Liverpool or Roma.
Yet, we are about to see great games which makes me excited even before the season starts.
I hope that games like that with strong anticipation about the results or future fixtures will happen during the whole season.
Big teams will fight at group stage because the teams such as Barcelona and Liverpool finished the league with first and second position which mean they automatically goes to group phase and for now most of mediocre teams still struggle to reach group phase but i just noticed former of the champion Porto starting this season with third qualification matches

Its not just that. There is list of countries with numbers, first 10 have 3 2 or 1 team in group stage draw rest have final as knockout and all below 15 place are in from 3 round start or they start from 1st round. Team from big 5 always have 2 clubs or more in group stage in CL.

After the 1st round of this Leg, I believe that most of the games didn't make it clear who is going to proceed in the next stage.

Well yea, it would not be fun to watch if there's a clear result before the 2nd leg, even though sometimes it could produce a miracle match like Liverpool Barca, Roma vs Barca, and so on.

Any match is interesting as long as every team gives it their all. That's what football should be about.

Next week will be again interesting and also good for betting, as most of the teams will try their best to qualify.

Good call on the Cluj home game, slocker. I bet myself on Cluj to win at just over 3/1 since Celtic aren't generally so good away and I was almost proven right. They got the first shot on target but most of the opening half they were defending corners with their lives.

Probably a deserved draw in the end, and they will carry the away advantage but let in one goal at Old Firm and the nerves will set in.

Celtic always flatter to deceive in the CL, they have great home support but are generally an average team. I don’t see that changing, the quality of the SPL is so poor so when they play CL teams it’s such a huge shock to them.

It is half time in the game PAOK Saloniki - Ajax and the Dutch team seems to be loosing.
I feel like it would be a hard series for them and probably we are going to see them out of Champions League this year, even they did an amazing way last season.
The match ended 2 goals apiece, Ajax are slightly in favor now since they'll be playing the return leg at home.
I believe Ajax would be able to beat PAOK FC relatively easily at the return leg match, Ajax is quite a strong team whenever they play at their home stadium and it would be difficult for PAOK FC to keep a clean sheet against them. Ajax does have an advantage with two away goals and with the home fans cheering loud for their home team, I believe Ajax will be the team to progress to the next round.

Yes, with the final result Ajax seems to have a good advantage over PAOK.
However, they didn't play very well and dominate during the whole match. They need to refine their playstyle.

Maybe some predictions for todays matches and to see how this will go

Krasnodar - Porto, over 1,5 goals and possible Porto to win
Basaksehir - Olympiakos, X2 Olympiakos is little more vavorite for win
Basel - LASK Linz, 1X Bazel can win this game
CFR Cluj - Celtic, maybe this match will be most interesting but here I go for both teams to score
Maribor - Rosenborg, goals on this match under 2.5

@Harkorede, yeah, I think it's not bad result for Ajax, they played against solid opponent and 2 away goals is a big factor.
Plenty of interesting and hardly predictable games on Wednesday - Krasnodar - Porto, Cluj - Celtic or Basaksehir - Olympiakos sounds not bad for this stage. I will not risk to bet on these, I only choose Base win vs LASK @1.7.
