Another round of the Champions League kicks off tomorrow... Found one interesting match - Genk vs Shakhtar... Both teams play attacking football and both have problems in defence... I think you can safely bet both teams will score... You can also take a chance on total goals over 2,5...

It might be a good idea to take early bet on PSV to win against Midtjylland while this bet still have some value.
Midtjylland managed to win last round against Celtic in extra time but I was not impressed and they are class below PSV.
Rangers will try to save honor for Scotland and try to qualify for Champions League, but it will not be easy against Malmo from Sweden in first away match.

FC Barcelona, Juventus, and Real Madrid CF welcome today's Court's decision enforcing, with immediate effect, UEFA's obligation to unwind the actions taken against all European Super League founding clubs, including terminating the disciplinary proceedings against the undersigning three clubs and removing the penalties and restrictions imposed on the remaining nine founding clubs for them to avoid UEFA's disciplinary action.

The Court backs the request made by the promoters of the European Super League, dismisses UEFA's appeal, and confirms its warning to UEFA that failure to comply with its ruling shall result in fines and potential criminal liability. The case will be assessed by the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, which shall review UEFA's monopolistic position over European football.

We have the duty to address the very serious issues facing football: UEFA has established itself as the sole regulator, exclusive operator, and unique owner of rights of European football competitions. This monopolistic position, in conflict of interest, is damaging football and its competitive balance. As shown by ample evidence, financial controls are inadequate, and they have been improperly enforced. Clubs participating in European competitions have the right to govern their own competitions.

We are pleased that going forward we will no longer be subject to ongoing UEFA's threats. Our aim is to keep developing the Super League project in a constructive and cooperative manner, always counting on all football stakeholders: fans, players, coaches, clubs, leagues, and national and international associations. We are aware that there are elements of our proposal that should be reviewed and, of course, can be improved through dialogue and consensus. We remain confident in the success of a project that will be always compliant with European Union laws.

I hope it will be not a funny day for Ceferin  Wink

Great news. Slowly but inevitably everything goes as it should - business is gradually regaining all rights and corrupt officials are losing power. Hopefully next season (this season most likely there is no time left) we will see a full-fledged Super League and the collapse of the Champions League.

Yesterday games all ended as predicted except Celtic which was somewhat of a surprise but not a big one for me.Midtylland has been playing very well from quite some years now and yesterday night was their moment of glory by qualifying further and winning against a team which has a lot more experience than them in this International competitions.I think many of the games of today of the newly Conference league offers a lot of value to make some money by betting on them.
Midtjylland won deservedly, it is a strong team that has been present at European arena for the past several years. But it is not right for such strong teams to play at such an early stage, because they would go a lot farther both if the draw placed them in other pairs. Although, perhaps they would still have to play this game, so the strongest won.

Did I miss something? Why do you think Juventus could be banned from the Champions League for next year? Are you referring to the Super League plans? I don't think that Super League will ever come into existence. The resistance also from the fans will be massive. So far I haven't seen a fan community that was supportive of those Super league plans.

Yes, Ceferin wants to ban Juve Real and Barca.
Il will end like this: these 3 teams banned for one year or with Ceferin removed from the president of Eufa, there is no middle way here.

Yeah It is related to ESL but Real Madrid already taken the whole thing to a Spanish court and won the case and now we have this that might escalate quickly against UEFA top officials. Anyway, there is plans being reviewed to make the competition open without 100% guaranteed position for founding clubs mainly. Such thing might make the competition acceptable by fans. Additionally once there is no risk for being banned from UEFA competitions, fans will care less about it.

Sometimes I care about these ones more than the real CL Grin

I guess it all depends on where you're from, for some of us from smaller countries these games are huge - because winning them means your local team can get into the CL. If you take CL for granted because the team you support plays in it every year - then these games are boring as hell because the quality is sometimes really low.

Yeah, you are right, I forgot about it.
I'm a Juventus fan and usually, we are already in top groups but the year was very close to being out from the Champions and the next one will maybe be banned Grin.

I'm looking now on teams of the list and some are really interesting teams like Monaco who were a strong team some years ago, the good times when Campos built the team.

I am very sorry for this stroke of bad luck

it happens, even to me in the past it happened to lose a good bet for a bizarre event

that's the beauty of bets, that's why they are fun for me

Too bad Celtic was bundled out of UCL by Midtylland I took my time and do their match analysis, I discovered that Celtic fielded young and inexperienced players having sold most their good players, the likes of Kieran Tierney, Jeremie Frimpong and others, this is a side that had always dominate the Scottish league every seasons and always featured in UCL group stages now crashed out of UCL in first round now though they have the opportunity to play in Europa league, it was very disappointing to hear that the club has no sporting director and head of recruitment yet their manager Postecoglou was left alone to run the affairs of the club.

What a win by Crvena Zvezda today to turn it around. After losing unexpectingly in the first leg 2-1 now they have won 5-0 but Kairat came without 4 players due to covid. Also Crvena Zvezda had only children in the stands due to uefa punishing them

I think it's normal for Crvena Zvezda to turn things around against Kairat Almaty. They are not worth it, the quality of Crvena Zvezda is already far above Kairat Almaty.

Just Check Out Kairat Almaty's Players? Even Vagner Love (Useless Old Brazilian) Was There Cheesy
Well Wagner Love played really good in the first match also he is a really experienced and good player. Kairat lost heavily due to covid and presure by a big match for them. Zvezda is much experienced in this kind of tournaments and stages. I think Sheriff dosent stand a chance in the next round but Sheriff is going to europe group stage no matter what so thats positive for them

Rapid Vienna will have a goal advantage when they play against Sparta Prague today in the 2nd leg, I think if Rapid Vienna are going to adopt a defensive strategy when they play against Sparta Prague today, they might be able to force a draw at the final whistle and progress to the next qualifying round.

Unfortunately, it was a very weak performance by Rapid and they deserved to be eliminated. It is a pity that the chances for promotion and the participation in the Europa League group stage are history.

By all other games were no surprises for me, and I would have assumed that Celtic would still turn it around and be promoted.

All other results.

Here's the third qualifying round pairs:

D.Zagreb - Legia
CFR Cluj - Young Boys
Olympiacos - Ludogorets
Crvena zvezda - Sheriff Tiraspol
Malmo - Rangers
Ferencvaros - Slavia Prague
PSV - Midtjylland
Spartak Moscow - Benfica
Genk - Shakhtar Donetsk
Monaco - Sparta Prague
Hmm, most of those matches are pretty much a toss-up imo, except maybe Cluj, Monaco and the one that could be my main ticket in the bet slip (depending on the ML and asian handicap odds) Red Star - Tiraspol. Gonna be a walk in the park for the serbians  Roll Eyes (famous last words? lol)

yeah, congrats to Zvezda, it seemed really easy
in the end, only Celtic did not made it to next round from the favorites list, they are knocked-down by Danish side Midtjylland

will be interesting next week, there are several good pairs, Dinamo is playing with Legia, Monaco is in to face Sparta, while Olympiakos is facing Ludogorets
Crvena zvezda should have easier job with Sheriff from Moldova
The sheriff will not be a problem for Crvena Zvezda, the match should be even easier than it was with Kairat. Midtjylland was stronger than Celtic, it was really a very strong pair early on, congratulations Midtjylland for a decent win. Also the Young Boys beat Slovan as I expected.

It was a big statement by Crvena Zvezda to turn around the tie after a stalement draw away from home; up next they face Sheriff FC, Can they get an outright qualification this time around? But what has happened to Celtic, their decline has been immense few years from now.

My picks are, Young bOYS, Crvena Zvezda, Rangers, Donesk, Monaco, What do you think ?

Can't believe I forgot to put in my tickets today. Even missed a 4/1 special at my favourite bookie for Celtic to progress and score first -- which they're well on their way towards now after a slow start in first half. They did ruin my acca on the first leg though...
these are my kind of bets, which bookie is this you use for the specials?
Sportsbet. They have specials on tennis, football, cricket, events and tourneys practically every four hours or so, every 2 hours towards the evening.

HT results are all looking rather predictable so everyone doing fav accas should be doing well.
HT I would go for the draw any day, playing the favorites is not my thing because the price is mostly too small. Smiley Smiley
[/quote]
I do accas on favourites, but no less than 15/10, although I do have a bad tendency to lump 4/5 favs together, and spice it up with a "can't lose" leg at small odds.
