National success is also important. Of course, he has to win international tournaments as well. If the spending permission given to Guardiola had been given to another coach, perhaps he would have faced the same end. Manchester City won the English Premier League this year. EPL's reputation is just as important as UCL. It was the only match in the final. They played many matches until they came to the final match. I don't think it's fair to call Pep Guardiola a failure because they lost the last game. He could have had the same problem in Barcelona.
EPL is not as important as UCL, anyone who says that is either a British person who overvalues their own league or they are a person who likes premier league way too much. UCL is where the real winners are for the top teams because you can win your league all you want but UCL is a whole another cup.

Chelsea finished 4th in premier league this year but managed to win the UCL and that is a huge success, Tuchel should be praised like no other coahc for this year, he achieved something major, if he won FA cup as well that would have been insane. EPL is important, it is VERY important, but for these teams at the top UCL is the most important cup there is because only one can win it between all the big clubs all around europe, you are not just beating teams in epl, you are beating all the great teams all around the continent. Which is why I believe Pep has failed miserably for the past decade.

I thought Manchester City was going to beat Chelsea. But after the first half ended with Chelsea leading, i realized that Chelsea was serious about winning the trophy.
Chelsea lost the F.A cup to Leicester and had the Champion League trophy as their only hope for the season. N'Golo Kante won the man of the match in the Champion League final, which he deserved, he had been a great help to Chelsea this season. This is the second time Chelsea is winning the Champion League trophy, A big Congratulations to them.

5x (Hitzfeld, Heynckes, Klopp, Flick, Tuchel)
4x (Ancelotti, Lippi, Capello, Di Matteo),
4x (del Bosque, Guardiola, Benitez, Enrique)
2x (van Gaal, Rijkaard)

Two cities of Manchester have failed in their final, they have to win against their opponents so this is very sad because we know that Mancity has very many opportunities but cannot be utilized properly and it is difficult to make up for the strategy of Tuchel's formation.

Tuchel has brought Chelsea to be extraordinary, maybe in his coaching history it hasn't been since a season has brought Chelsea to bring the UCL title this is what is waiting for and they have confirmed 2 UCL trophies will continue to motivate him in the future I can only admire how Tuchel brings Chelsea to become a champion.
He's an absolutely fantastic Coach. Tuchel took this post when Chelsea were in 10th place. Under his management he changed the whole perspective of team and carried them all the way to being the new champions of Europe. Chelsea Football Club Performance this season are spectacular, and credit goes to Thomas Tuchel. Mind blowing collaboration we have seen throughout the session.

Chelsea and City are two big examples of how money has changed the face of football,,, but PSG also will wonder what it will take for them to replicate the success.
What are you talking about? PSG reached the finals of Champions League too like Man City and they are also successful in their domestic league so what's to replicate? I had high hopes for PSG when they defeated Bayern Munich but it wasn't meant to be. They fell to Man City but that doesn't mean City is more successful than them.

Few weeks to the UCL finals, I believed and predicted that Mancity will win. But few minutes to the final when I saw the line up, it became obvious to me that Chelsea will take the day.
All I was seeing was city to win, how I wish I saw your prediction 👀

Tuchel came up with a strong midfield and a natural striker.
Mancity in the other hand came up with strong midfield without a natural striker. I was shocked Guardiola came up with his well mastered tactics by all.
For Manchester city the game  play pretty much relies  on its midfield so it was not surprising that he came up with that team

What I saw were tired players, for example de bruyne looked tired and many others but we can't keep defending players, the better side won .

It is therefore very important that when gambling, we should wait till the eleventh hour to know the formation of the club, form of the players, weather, mentality of the team for that day's match. I lost my money but I have learnt my lessons.
This sounds good but gambling is just unpredictable

I don't think Rodri will start...
Turns out that neither of them started because Guardiola had other plans. About on hour ago, I read a good post by one of the sport sites that I follow and it said something like this: Guardiola played with either Rodri or Fernandinho from the beginning in 59 out of 60 matches this season. The only match where that wasn't the case was in the Champions League finals and he paid a heavy price for it.

Congratulations Chelsea!

Both teams had a great game. Manchester City conceded a goal when caught off guard. Although they tried very hard to make up for this goal, they were not enough. N'golo Kante and Mount played great in the Chelsea team.  Manchester City lost in their first final match. Paris SG and Tottenham have experienced this before.

That was bound to happen when you don't have holding midfielder. I also thought it was a smart lineup but defense was so sloppy in the first half. They were surprised by the Werner's pace and focused on him and forgot to check Havertz properly. Still it was wierd to have no striker otherwise they would have answered properly. Chelsea undoubtedly deserved it. Guardiola pays it off for overthinking like he usually does.

Guardiola is a successful manager. No one can deny this. However, they are unsuccessful in their match against Chelsea. Tuchel prepared Chelsea so well that they beat Manchester City in the final. If Timo Werner had evaluated the positions, it might have even been different. Kai Havertz's first goal in the champions league led them to the championship. My two favorites -Europa League and UCL- both lost. I was thinking that 2 trophies could come to Manchester, but no trophy came to Manchester.

He ist successful on national league. No doubt. But he has repeatedly failed to win anything internationally for 10 years with top teams. He gets all the players he wants at ManCity, has spent more than a billion on players over the last few years and has always failed in the semifinals. Now he has made it to the final for the first time in 10 years and fails miserably again.

Even during his time at Bayern, he won everything nationally. But with a very well-rehearsed team, he messed up every time in the semifinals. The same thing happened at ManCity. Remember, before Pep took over Bayern in 2013, the club was two times in a row into the CL finals (2012,2013) where they won in 2013. With almost the same team he failed again and again.

He probably only works internationally in Barcelona. That's why he should go back to Barcelona and rebuild the club there. Then maybe he can win the CL again.

One player i felt for with this win was Eden Hazard. His having so much of a trying time at Real Madrid.  He practically left Chelsea for Real Madrid due to this purpose. To be in a UCL team or should I say to win the UCL trophy with them but the reverse happened. It was Chelsea who engaged and knocked out Real Madrid and now, they are champions of the UCL. His so unlucky for this and it would be very much be wrong of him should he think of coming back o Chelsea. As funny as it sounds, Chelsea would not be able to defend this trophy next season, just as Bayern Munich wasn't able to defend there's this season.
This set of Chelsea players are the luckiest. Still in there prime and they've got there UCL title. Up blues mehnnnn...

This is Chelsea's 2nd title which is more shocking as they should have won more titles as per the strength of their team. The match was interesting one and what was more interesting is that i won the bet on this final.  Smiley

Congrats on your win bro.  Smiley  I don't know whether you bet too much money on them but you must be in really good profit now. I think that there were so many people who bet on City and they should be really disappointed and angry.

I agree with you on Lampard. Because I think they wouldn't have achieved the same thing with him. Because the team were not playing this much good then. After Tuchel has come, everything has changed about the team. The players started playing much more dedicatedly. I think that Tuchel is one of the really good managers.
I think Lampard had a happy night and he also feel happy with his sack because it brings the second Champions League cup to Chelsea. It is a club Mr Frankie loves deeply so he will wish the best for this club.

He or Tuchel bright the Champions League to the club, it is not a really big matter. The matter is Chelsea has an amazing night and join the big clubs. The second cup will be a beginning to join Legendary clubs in Champions League. If they win three cups, they deserve to have a spot in list of legendary clubs.

Yes, the most important matter is of course Chelsea's winning the title. And it is totally a deserved one. They must be very proud of themselves for making it. To be honest, my favourite team in this game were also City. It was a shocking result for me.  Grin

Now big money flowing into the game again even during pandemic, United have 150 million to spend. It will be a struggle for everyone else to keep up now.

So London would be blue again! I couldn't express my joys yesterday after Chelsea won the UCL title ahead of Manchester City. Trust me, it was so unexpected at a time before kick off. All I could have hoped gor was for Chelsea not to be humiliated by the citizens and the game should be played like a finals with 2 top teams contesting instead of a Chelsea 0- Manchester City kind of score line. No, that would have been so unappreciated but, Chelsea went ahead to prove my fears wrong and shame Pep and his tactics.  That was a wonderful assist from M. Mount to Kyle Havertz and he finished it beautifully. Congrats to the team, they did us proud.

I really believe that guardiola is one of the top football coaches on this planet maybe even the best, because so far every team that he coached and even the individual players of the team became better. But when the big and important matches come his teams somehow can't really deliver. It was the same at bayern munich where they were eliminated 3 times from the champions league even though they were the better team and now the same with ManCity. I think sometimes he is overcomplicating stuff and always wants to do something special on top for big matches, but i guess most of the times less would be more here.

Join hands and help me to grow everybody...

,
he started the match without a defensive midfielder and a natural Striker thinking the tactics will work having adopted the tactic to win many matches in EPL.

This is my point and a very clear point. All lovers of football and good analysts saw it coming. Guardiola stocked with his usual tactics that is being known in EPL.
England football is very difficult because no tactics lasts more than one season without other coaches knowing how to defile it.
Take instance from Conte, when he introduced the 3man defense in Chelsea, it gave him the league title for the year. Next season he was faulted.
Guardiola's 3man unnatural striking has been mastered in England.
Assuming he played the final with a Spanish or Italian club, it would have worked for him.

Interesting fact this year, duo Manchester lost on Final Game. Manchester United defeated by Villareal in Europa League Final few days ago and today we see Manchester City defeated by Chelsea in Champions League Final. Both duo Manchester were favorite to win the Final game but the result says the opposite. Would be nice to see the UEFA Super Cup between Chelsea and Villareal in the next few months. Who will win? It is hard to predict  Cool
