^ Rofl. You’re not just saying that are you? Chelsea has a squad with good players, deep enough to take the CL trophy imho. But I mean sure, in a tourney structure an inferior team could win and progress in the tournament. But saying it like it’s likely gonna happen is lulz.

I assume there are not many people who are thinking that Liverpool have really a good chance to win the Champions League title.
I also think Liverpool is difficult to win the title of Champions League. Liverpool is in a bad situation, with many crucial players injured, they are lucky enough can be in the current stage. Then, they will against Real Madrid, the most team winning in the Champions League. I am not sure if Liverpool can win this time, they will play without 3 best defenders (Van Dijk, Matip, Gomez) and 1 best striker (Firminho). These will be the weaknesses and the chance for their opponent to beat them.Yeah, even this round will be very tough for Liverpool as they have a very experienced team in the CL ahead of them. Maybe Real Madrid aren't in their best shape but they still are dangerous. I expect very close games.
Looking forward to Porto vs Chelsea fixture..it will be an interesting match. Reading the comments so far it seems no one believes Porto will defeat the blues. Posts like these is what makes the game entertaining. Let's keep in mind that football can be unpredictable sometimes. Porto may just pull a stunt and send the Londoners home in tears. But I think Porto biggest advantage is the fact that Chelsea is "convinced" that he will win.
Juventus believed the same thing, and then it happened. It was luck, yes ... but ...
Porto has got no chances to get past Chelsea in the quarter-final. I have to agree with the majority of posters here because Porto doesn't look like can do harm to the Londoners. But whatever what we may think, eventually this is going to be a very entertaining quarter final with plenty of goals. We need to wait only a few days.

If this year is Porto eliminates Chelsea, Porto will go to the final.It would be a surprising result.I remembered that Greece won the european championship.They chances were low in Euro 2004, but Greece became the champion.Porto could win UCL this year.They should have good luck sure.
I do believe that Porto came to the end of the road here. The reality is that Juventus is not doing as great as they did in the Serie A neither, they are not doing that well, which is why I do understand them losing on champions league as well. But Chelsea is a well oiled machine and they are working great. They are doing good on premier league as well and fighting for champions league too, which is all great if you ask me.A battle between these two should be going to Chelsea for sure, it looks more possible. I do not think Porto are good enough team to school Chelsea; Ofcourse it will be a closely contested tie; with the best team winning; Porto are very solid defensively; while chelsea likewise play 5 atback to help their defense. Also the first leg of the time will matter a lot; Can Chelsea stop Porto forwards? Will Chelsea forwards start firing ? We will see

Looking at Porto, it is clear to see that they are a team well drilled in the importance of teamwork and cooperation. The Juventus side had better players but a weaker team. Against Chelsea they definitely need the same qualities. Chelsea have superior players and thy have added a very capable manager now and it’s clear to see that they are playing much better football. However, they have only been working with Tuchel for about a couple months now under a new formation and Porto must capitalize on that. The Chelsea team has weaknesses, most notably in the midfield and a lot of young players and if Porto are to have chance, they must take advantage of all this. However, I expect a tight tie but I think Chelsea may just come out on top here if they are serious about it.

Although you know that Porto wins the Champions League once in 17 years. It was in 1987 and in 2004. Now it's been 17 years since the last victory. So maybe they can win. But in those years Porto was a much stronger team than now.

So much talking about Porto would be so much to increased a club to be favorite, it could be increasing the odds either. On other side, the opponent's odds going to decrease, people who are eyeing this situation will be going to the winner because they know who strongest.
Then we look at the tactics....Liverpool have faltered in the league because mist teams have played them with a defensive set up, capitalising on Liverpool fragility at the back. The difference is that every team in the Champions league is a top team and plays expansive football, playing into Liverpool's hands as we saw in the Leipzig game. Klopp has lost only one two-legged European tie with liverpool since 2017 and that was against a very defensive Atletico Madrid team. So, if you a betting man, best to not put your money against Liverpool
Being a Liverpool fan myself, I wouldn't say it's a wise option to place a bet on Liverpool to win either. The last couple of weeks have been kinda tough despite our back to back wins in the round of 16 against an unfortunate Leipzig team. But on the plus side, Real Madrid isn't the kind of team you'd pick as team of the year because their results too have not been so good. I want to believe in my team but I won't want to be sentimental with my bias. To be honest, any of the two teams have a shot at winning the tie. No underdogs, just two top teams trying to get back to winning ways.

I agree that Chelsea have developed very rapidly since Tuchel came to replace Lampard. So from that it looks like Porto's luck will stop
in the quarter finals, I'm also not sure Porto can make Chelsea fall in the Champions League. Chelsea have quality players who in my opinion
are better than Porto, it should not be too difficult to beat Porto. But Porto managed to beat Juventus, therefore, it cannot underestimate Porto.
But I believe Tuchel must have learned from Juventus defeat to Porto. So Tuchel will be careful when Chelsea face Porto.

It is very natural for Liverpool supporters to want their team to win the Champions League this season. But I'm sure most people realize Liverpool's
chances of winning the Champions League trophy are small. Because as you say if we think realistically about the performance Liverpool have shown
this season, very difficult Liverpool managed to win the Champions League trophy. Moreover, Liverpool have to face some of the best European teams.
