It looks like they are not doing that this year. They had like 20+ win in a row streak this year and that shows how serious they are taking this year. They know that this year is the year they could win both champions league and the premier league together, well premier league is as guaranteed as it can get without being mathematically guaranteed, so I think they are going to get that.

But the champions league still has decent teams, PSG trying to reclaim last year's finals spot and win it this year, Bayern is still good and beating everyone, it is not going to be easy but I think they can do it. City is as good as any team in the league right now, they could beat anyone, but the weird thing is they could end up playing not so well and end up losing as well. Which is why I think it's quite important that they play every game like they have to absolutely dominate.

They are facing Real Madrid who is currently not in a great shape and we all know that a team who plays a football style like Liverpool ( Bayern, Dortmund , City ) will create scoring chances and most probably they will score.

I also think Liverpool is difficult to win the title of Champions League. Liverpool is in a bad situation, with many crucial players injured, they are lucky enough can be in the current stage. The final can't be Chelsea vs Liverpool because in the semi finals we will see a draw between Porto/Chelsea and Real Madrid/Liverpool if I'm not mistaken. But I think they both will eliminate their opponent and get a draw against each other.

Chelsea plays from the hardest league and at the moment had played a decent football with good wins, FC Porto on the other hand is finding difficult to have a consistent winning in their native league, Chelsea isn't an underdog and so they couls have the opportunity to qualify in this stage.

I couldn't agree with you more. They have been absolutely terrible in the EPL so far. They have no choice other than to focus more on the Champions League. Because they will most probably not be able to finish at a place that will help them join the CL again. They will try their best to win the CL title.

You are right. Their main goal is the Champions League. Because they were far behind from the start of the Premier League. At the moment, they have no choice but to focus on the Champions League. They can go to the semi-finals of the Champions League, but they are not that much good a team to go to the final. They are very weak compared to other teams.

I don't know why Chelsea are so happy because in my opinion Porto is not an easy team to beat. Porto's history in the Champions League is even better than that of Manchester City and PSG

In this round, all existing team will have higher morale than before and must not underestimate other team before the match starts. Chelsea were reportedly very happy when they learned of the results of the quarter draw because they met Porto. I do not even think it is just 49% for Chelsea to win, I see them having 70% chance to win, 20% chance for a draw, and only 10% chance for Porto to win. I get that they had an upset last time and people are overestimating them right now, but just because they had a good game last time doesn't mean that they will have one again this time around neither.

I believe it is not going to be like that and they will not end up winning anything. That is just what I believe will happen, of course I could be wrong and of course it could be a Porto win but that is why I put a 10% chance there as well, I am not saying they have no chance, all I am saying is that if they played 10 games, they would win just one out of those ten games. That is of course what I think could be done very difficulty. That is just what I imagine could happen, Chelsea is a much better team.
