PSG has had a very strong team for years. Perhaps with the best players in the world. Last year they were close to the title in the final, but I think Bayern is normally just one level higher.
They can all win. There is no team that is really far above the rest.
PSG has a problem not in the players, but in the coach. A strong coach who can change the tactics of the game depending on the opponent. PSG doesn't have this from the very beginning. If they were given Guardiola or Klopp as their coaches, they might be able to win the Champions League.

I'm not sure PSG can repeat their run to the UEFA Champions League final this season. Despite the presence of players like Neymar and Mbappe, each time they face opponents who look better as a team, rather than a set of stars. In my opinion, the current Juventus, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Atletico look more complete as a team. Although Bayern are unlikely to be able to repeat their previous success and do not look so powerful yet, there is still time to restore their condition in six months.

Yesterday on sky sport italy we were discussing the draws of the champions league. It had been several years that in the A group of the first classified, there were no 8 top teams. in past years there were always some less strong teams, while now they are all top teams, it will not be easy for Lazio and Atalanta who finished second and therefore will find one of these teams

G1  Bayern (GER), Chelsea (ENG), Dortmund (GER), Juventus (ITA), Liverpool (ENG), Manchester City (ENG), Paris (FRA), Real Madrid (ESP)

G2 Atalanta (ITA), Atlético (ESP), Barcellona (ESP), Lazio (ITA), Leipzig (GER), Mönchengladbach (GER), Porto (POR), Sevilla (ESP)

Source: https://it.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/0264-1110834aec30-e9f3f498d9fa-1000--ottavi-di-champions-league-possibili-abbinamenti-e-statistiche-/

You are absolutely right.

Atalanta and Lazio will find 2 big for sure. If they are lucky (?) the best option for them should be Dortmund.

Juventus can find 5 teams, the one to avoid is Manchester City.

Draw for round of 16 is Monday, I am always excited at this stage as it seems to be the time when the competition really hots up. There are sure to be some blockbuster match ups in this round.

The final results came not much different from the last years. Just the one that would be missed is Manchester city otherwise almost all of the teams from last years UEFA champions league have qualified for the knockout stage. But the results could be a bit different depending upon how the draw comes in. Liverpool, Chelsea, PSG and Munich do probably be favorite of this season.

The draw is always a lot of fun and exciting. Perhaps even more exciting and fun than the matches themselves. You have to be lucky with that draw and have a lesser opponent.
If you loot well, you can go far. Do we get special rules again or can everyone be drawn against each other?

I am surprised of Inter, in last games they looked quite well and I was sure they should win Shakhtar Donetsk  in Milan !
Anyway, we have last 16 and we will have at least one big game, as Barcelona FC is unseeded .
(Unless Borussia will met them)
Inter Milan are crying for not getting into the European league after the draw in the last game with Sakhtar this nightmare where they didn't reach the last 16 oh what a disappointment.

Barcelona's performance is bad I am not so sure that it will be able to defend their position later but for sure with this beat at 16, hopefully we will meet a team that is able to beat it.

Real Madrid is strong again after beating Gladbach, this is great Zidane is able to do.

Barcelona really blew chances, securing the top spot would have been really favorable, but as it stand there is no easy potential opponent for them, and at the best they face Borrusia Dortmund ? or  Chelsea... other than those, it's Bayern, Liverpool, PSG or Manchester City... Although, I still believe a lot could still change about the teams chemistry and performance as the knockout stages is still a few months away.
Of all the named teams, Barcelona can only face Bayern Munich, and Barcelona can cope with others, but no one can say what will happen in a couple of months. The team may raise the level of play or, on the contrary, weaken even more.

Perhaps Barcelona will get better over the new year and on, but if their recent form/performance is ever to be considered, none of those potential opponents can I boldly say Barcelona would cope against, despite the fact that I'm a die hard fan, it's just the honest truth, a team that struggled against the likes of Cadiz and Alaves ?? Not the Barcelona I'm used to.

After loss from Juventus last match on champion league Barcelona have pass to knock out stage as runner up and have big problem will play with big team like Chelsea, Bayern and Liverpool after third team success on the first standing fixtures each group, I think will bad moment if faced with Liverpool or Bayern because Barcelona always loss with big score. So which one team become fight for Barcelona in next stage of champion league during performance Barcelona still down right now, will next week they can play well and defeat Levante to give good result for Barcelona fans.

As expected, Real Madrid won at home in the last match. Now, Real Madrid is at the top of Group B standing and goes to the next stage. For people who expect Real Madrid to be defeated and eliminated in the group stage, you are exactly wrong. As a Madrid fan, I know very well about the capacity of Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane. What I said before, becomes true today. Good job Real Madrid!!

I bet Real Madrid will get 3 points in the last match!

It's not wrong to wait for the match, two goals from Benzema make me smile widely. Many people already doubt that Madrid can qualify for the knockout stages. The return of Ramos gives Madrid confidence, they did well last night. Guessing the opponent in the next phase, when viewed from the regulations, are Porto, Atalanta, Lazio and RB Leipzig. Meanwhile, the draw for the next round will be held next Monday.

Anyway I'm so happy with the fail of Inter you have no idea even if now they can be more focused in the Seria A... but if they fail to win this week it can be the start of their end.
Their luck is bad, that's why they played so badly in the Champions League.  I also think their main goal is Serie A. They are doing great in Serie A. They are in second place in the points table. They have been eliminated from the Champions League. I hope they do well in Serie A.

it's not luck or bad luck, everyone has that
bad luck can happen in a game

but not in a season .. I'm sorry to be tough, but Antonio Conte is not capable as a coach
and all inter company need to grow, they are like children

team and players is ok

Yes, football is full of the unexpected ( you never can tell what is to come or happen untill the final whistle is blown) and that's what makes it an interesting game. The more reasons why there should be no manipulation or fixing of games by any person or body. But yeah, should we look at the do called advantage like playing from your home, is it really an advantage?
Especially in this era of the pandemic where you've got zero encouragement from the fans. For a fact, pitch don't score goals plus, they've got precised measurements across all stadiums. Though, some may argue that, there might be precised accustomed angles to a few players that makes targeting the goal more easier compared to opposition players but, it's just another claim.
As for the game at home, there is a clear advantage that the hosts do not have to get very far to their own stadium, unlike the visiting team. This can be even more clearly expressed in the air travel of the visiting team in the case of the Champions League and the associated certain inconveniences. As for the familiar field, perhaps there is a reasonable sense, but I don't seem to remember such cases when some football player claimed about the advantage of familiar bumps in his stadium.

They are also very good in this season. Ajax needed to win the match to continue on CL. They had every advantage (like playing in their home stadium etc.). But interestingly, they didn't score a goal and lost the match in the end. Football can sometimes be very surprising.  Grin

Inter didn't manage to score to Shakhtar Donetsk in both matches and ukrainian team twice overcame Real Madrid. so I won't consider Shakhtar as an obvious outsider of this group. they deserved even to qualify for the next stage of Champions League.

I really don't understand how the hell Ajax couldn't score even one goal yesterday. Ajax are a way more experienced team than Atalanta in Champions League. They are also very good in this season. Shakhtar in the Europa League, they were able to do it. I didn’t expect from Inter that they will finish this Champions League in last place in the group, but this is football, everything is possible here. Will Conte be able to keep his position as head coach now, is there any news already? I think he has strengthened the team's morale, but that is not enough to achieve big goals.

I am very happy for Atalanta and Bergamo, their city. These guys are the best outsider in this year's Champions League. They will be giving headaches to all those teams that will be facing them. If you search for risky but rewarding bets for the next round, then look no further.
I was really surprised to see Atlanta's game. I expected Liverpool and Ajax from group D to go to the next round. But my guess was wrong. Although Ajax played well enough in yesterday's match, Atlanta won in the end. They scored in the 85th minute and won. Bad luck for Ajax.
