Juventus is giving me a hard time lately and I believe this is the sign I have to bet them winning Champions League this season! Odds are pretty good @ 13 and I will try my luck! You read it here first! Juventus will win CL!

That is kinda something that is hard to believe especially if you think about Juventus having a hard time especially when Juventus plays poorly after the group stages. Even the teams like Ajax and Lyon are something that Juventus can easily beat but surprisingly they start not to convert anything which is sad for one of the most competitive teams in Italy. Maybe they need to change something in order to improve on these certain situations if they ever want to win the CL final again.

@acquafredda while each one of is free to choose their favourites team which will win the champions league, but I don’t believe that Juventus is going to win the champions league, because there’re many better teams than them in the league.

Also you’re ignoring teams like Liverpool, Bayern Munich which are the favourites to win the champions league, however if Juventus beats any one of them then yea I’ll also back Juventus to win the league, but till then I’m not counting on them to lift the CL trophy.

I am not ignoring other teams, I have simply stated my bet.  Grin I am going to bet on their win now that the odds are still high; I am taking a wild guess but I am open to lose it, of course. Sometime I tend to follow with my guts rather than my brain.

I'm worried about the Barcelona's match. PSG is a very strong opponent for them. Barcelona's performance in the Champions League is great. But I was disappointed to see them play yesterday in La Liga. They cannot win against small teams. Will they be able to win against a big team like PSG? I am not satisfied with the defense of Barcelona. On the other hand, PSG6 have some great striker and midfieldes like Mbappe, Neymar and Di Maria.
Barcelona has not performed perfectly during their last previous meetings in their league and international level, they were lucky enough to qualify to round 16 because of the underdog club in their group Ferenvarosi Fc, on the other hand, PSG forward will be smart enough to score at least 2+ goals which eventually will give them additional opportunity to qualify with goal aggregate. I see barca out from round 16 this season.
In my opinion, both Barca and PSG have the same chance of reaching the quarter-finals and are both strong teams, Barca's performance has not been perfect because some of its players have suffered injuries.
Although PSG are a strong team and have a great attacking and midfield, I think Barca are also a strong team and will recover their play and players in the last 16.
I totally agree with you. Both teams have equal chances and ability to reach the quarter finals. PSG has star players like Neymar, Mbappe, Di maria and Rafinha. On the other hand, some star players in Barcelona is The great Messi, Griezmann, Dambele and Coutinho. I think both teams will be equally ahead in terms of capabilities. The team that plays well on the field, who can adopt a good match strategy, will win.

PSG surely are in much better condition than what Barcelona are in. Though PSG are also struggling a bit on their league standing, their gameplay has been more aggressive and are scoring more goals than Barcelona. Barcelona had been specially bad with scoring.
Atlanta and Real Madrid would have been a competitive one a month ago but now Real Madrid have really stepped up.

There is really a long time before the next stage starts so we can't really know what is going to happen with any team. Maybe a star gets injured, maybe someone gets covid and spreads to the team (god forbid) but it is still possible that best teams could lose to worst teams from the teams that is left.

Biggest talk has been real Madrid and Atlanta for example, and I get that real Madrid seems like the favorites right now but with few players missing and not playing at 100% would result with Atlanta winning easily. This is why I think we should wait, plus bets are not open yet and that is why I get that we would like to talk about who will win but I am not going to make decision until the morning of the games and see what is going on with the rosters before I make my decision. This applies to every match for that day and not just the Madrid one.

Real Madrid is composed enough to easily beat Atlanta at this level. PSG would be too heavy for Barcelona and Atletico vs Chelsea is going to be one of the most competitive of them. Still all of other games could go on any side as we don't actually have idea what level the leagues are being played. I guess German teams are still better this time.
The hope is that Real Madrid will win unless their star players get injured. I'm worried about the Barcelona's match. PSG is a very strong opponent for them. We do not yet know what form the teams will be in before the Champions League starts. Perhaps by that time some teams will enter the recession period, while others will reach their peak. At the moment, the German teams are showing excellent performance and are the favorites of the tournament.

It is true that if you look at the history of Real Madrid, it is indeed difficult to play in Italy, and the first leg Real Madrid will play in Italy
against Atalanta. And you predict the results of the match will end in a draw, it just might happen. But I think Real Madrid will win the game
in the first leg, as you said in the group phase Real Madrid managed to beat Inter Milan in Italy. So I am optimistic that Real Madrid should
also be able to beat Atalanta, especially since the quality of Real Madrid players is much better.
Real Madrid has bad records with Italian clubs in Champions League but most if their matches are with AC Milan and Juventus. Sometimes they played against AS Roma and AS Roma won at Bernabeu, not in Italy (they had a draw) in a decade ago. Atalanta is similar to AS Roma, they are newbies in Champions League. The last season of Atalanta is amazing in Champions League but this time can be different. Other clubs are aware of the strength and play style of Atalanta.

Atalanta is very energetic team, they run a lot but I believe that Zizou can find a tactic to beat Atalanta.

And this season Atalanta do better, have much experience.. than previous year

Atalanta's goal, also this season, is not to win the Champions League (too tiring) but to stay longer and make more money for next season!

I think I may place a bet for Juventus winning the UCL this year as they're having a very long pause since they won it and this year they care less about Serie A and more about UCL.
Christiano Ronaldo is for Uefa Champions League which makes Juventus for UCL as well, this has been his purpose in Juventus. It felt really sad to watch them live the UCL last season, I really hope he makes it happen.

Yes Neymar is injured and it is still uncertain when he will recover, but if I look at history with the same injury that Neymar had before, it will take at least 3 months to recover.
3 months out, I can see a contrasting view that speculates him to be just out for the rest of the year which is barely weeks away. To note, being so injury prone and out for months is just a feature of a bad player. You can't have a star that is always on the bench instead of winning the games for the team. It's just not right. I know injury is not what you budget but then, holding the ball for too long as a star player attracts trouble to you and Neymar is good at holding the ball. His got to be protecting himself.

When you face the best teams of any league, you are going to have some trouble, at least on major leagues. When you face Bayern in any season (I know they have been awesome for a while now but this was true 20 years ago as well) or Juventus, or Barcelona, or Liverpool (now Liverpool, it changes many years) you are going to basically have trouble no matter who you are, you could be the best team of your own league, but it will still be troubling.

Real had a problem of facing Italian best teams year after year, but this is Atalanta we are talking about, sure they are not bad neither but they are not THAT good, it is not like they faced Juventus, now that would be very difficult. I think we all know the result of this matchup, I believe it will be easy Madrid win for both games.

Neymar is injured just until this year ends guys so I think he will be playing against Barcelona in the UCL. However, after I saw the picks, I think juventus has the easiest way towards the finals and the hardest one is Liverpool and City games.

People talked about real madrid, but the encounter we should talk about is the barcelona-psg encounter for me. A perfect match is waiting for us and psg will get a crushing win. Although the injury of Neymar seems like bad news, the french team with an excellent staff other than Neymar will see what happens.

In the first leg it is possible for Atalanta to win. Real Madrid is not playing very well in Italy, but I think Real Madrid will advance to the next round. Still, the class difference is quite high.
Real Madrid's history against Italian teams is not that great. This happened when they went to the home of the Italian team. But one good provision for madrid in the group phase they managed to beat Inter 2-0. Inter and Napoli in my opinion have the same strengths so at least a draw is a good result.
