In the first leg it is possible for Atalanta to win. Real Madrid is not playing very well in Italy, but I think Real Madrid will advance to the next round. Still, the class difference is quite high.

Both Real Madrid and Atalanta are lagging in term of performance. The 1st game will be like toss coin twice who will play worst and lose, if both teams will appear in the two faces then it is a draw. In the 2nd leg, things may become more complicated.

Well, that is why Real Madrid is interested in other players nowadays. For example they are looking to buy Mbappe, which will be very hard to achieve, but they have the money for it too, PSG has a lot of money and they are doing fine as well, both winning the league and finals in champions league so they have no reason to sell him right now, they need to be convinced. But if mbappe says he wants to go to Madrid, he will find a way to convince his team anyway.

So, if Madrid buys him out that means they will have a very good player to rely on next. Plus for Benzema, they once said they were interested in Haaland, which I think would be perfect fit for real Madrid as well, dude is just a born superstar if you ask me. Which means between two of these, they are going to be very good for at least another 10 years.

Do you think PSG finishing first in there group didn't help them to avoid a big team in the knockout stages, teams naturally hopes to finish top of their group so that they can be paired with a smaller team than them, but all that is no more, with almost every team going to the knockout is a big team, regardless of that I think its the end of their champions league campaign for PSG as barcelona even if playing badly has enough time before the knockout to stable themselves, will knock PSG out.

I see many people predicting Barcelona to pass the turn against Paris but I think that is the most difficult game to predict as both teams are not in their best usual form.For all other predictions I agree as they seem pretty easy on paper but surprises have always happened in this phase of the Champions League.

@Xavofat you’re absolutely correct because Benzema has single handedly been winning games for Real Madrid, but even with him in the team I don’t expect Real Madrid to win it. Furthermore I believe that I have said it here earlier in this season, and I’ll repeat it again that I expect only Bayern Munich to win the champions league this season.

Real Madrid is more dependent on the performance of Benzema, Ramos, Cross, Modric and Casemiro. Unfortunately, Madrid has no replacement for these players. The absence of one of these players disrupts the team's play. Even Hazard does not have such an impact on Real Madrid's play.

I think you shouldn't rate the chances of Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Atalanta so low. These teams can play quite successfully in this round. And in the PSG-Barcelona match anything can happen. Do not forget the result of their first meetings.

If Liverpool's injury situation doesn't improve by buying able-bodied players and RB Leipzig continues to play as well as they are doing now, we are possibly looking at a Liverpool knockout at the round of 16. It's too early to jump to conclusions now but I'm sure Klopp will do everything possible to fix up Liverpool's injury situation for the two legs, especially now that January's transfer window is around the corner.

Dortmund should trash Sevilla if they manage to keep Haaland since he should be in good shape by the time the legs start.

Meanwhile Ramos and Luka Jovic might be able to play in the match against Atalanta. I think their shooting capacity is lower than Atalanta's though. Real did win against Atletico 2-0 but one of them was an own goal so that only leaves one goal scored there. Meanwhile Atalanta averages over 2 goals per match, so this game is kind of a gamble.
