Don't forget Messi's release clause is in the range of €700 million (£630m/$825m)  Grin
Manchester City just escaped a UEFA ban after breaching the Financial Fair Play policy by a whisker. I don't think they will be looking to risk again any time soon

Yes and no.
Messi has a lot of release clauses on this contract.

He had one clause when he could leave for free in May 2020.
He will have one clause to leave for free in June 2021.

And who knows if he has more clause like the one Juventus used to take CR7 2 years ago.

Bayern got the trophy as many people thought but they did not get it too easily. PSG did brought many challenges to Bayern and if Neymar scores in early of first half and others two partners on offense system score, Di Maria & Kylian, PSG would have great chance to get the trophy. Bayern in the final match did not have too many open opportunities in front of PSG's goal.

Bayern deserve the trophy so I congratulate them for their another 3 trophies in a single season.

It was to be expected. Even last season was dull we had Spurs come through so many exciting wins in a row before the drab final. Same as Liverpool, nothing could beat the comeback euphoria of beating my team 4-0!

Finals are usually tense, although the Europa final was of much higher quality!

Exactly, we have these 2 offensive Powerhouses and I was expecting goals. I just thought it would have been a more interesting finale... I never would have thought the game would end in a 1:0 because there were many missed shots and mistakes made.
Im getting a bit tired of seeing Munich in the finale all the time to be honest.

I agree, the game was really unspectacular, I expected so many more goals. After the last matches in semi final I thought about adding some combi bets in the final but luckily I didn't have the time in the end. Very happy Bayern won and I made a nice profit there. But yeah 3:2 game for Bayern would have been much more interesting. Poor Neymar, the expectations where just too high. Good luck next year

Yesterday's finale was a good game however most gamblers were expecting more goals but that didn't happen. Looking at the current form of Bayern and the previous matches in the competition, one would have expected to see at least over 2.5 goals.

yesterday due to work I missed the final, I saw that Bayern won with just one goal. a shame for PSG I was hoping so much they would win their first champions! what to say finally this champions ended after so many difficulties, and we start immediately with the new edition! football never stops

It was a boring game for me I didn't like it.
PSG didn't play well, they have 2 good chances to score but Mbappe missed and he lost the chance to bright at this final.
They were so close but he didn't played well in the game that they had to do so.

I dont expected much goals in the final game because every final tournament of football is always consist of dream cause both sides will after the trophy with less skills and thats why theres alot of yellow cards yesterday but every football fan understand Bayern will be the winner.

what are your thoughts in regards to having a "one-legged knock-out round" for next season?

Although it does add more drama and tension to games, I'm really against it. 2 good reasons are that I want to watch as much good football as possible and also that the fans deserve to see their teams play at home in crucial games like these. Fans are a major part of the game, we have seen it now more than ever, and making it a 1-legged game at a neutral ground would take a lot from the game.

We should maybe rethink the away goal rule, but I'm 100% for 2-legged knockouts.

PSG's game last night was not that impressive, even I consider it just like playing in the local league in attack or the opportunity is still not as usual playing in the semifinals against Leipzig, is it possible that their metal is not strong enough because this is the first time it has entered the final so it is full of heavy pressure from Bayern Munich and paying for just 1 goal is very difficult for Neymar and his friends.

For me this final was not very satisfying in the PSG game even though it lost and Bayern Munich were already champions.

Exactly... PSG played terrible and the shots they do had they missed by miles...
Bayern won and it was an overhyped Finale which was pretty boring to be honest.

what are your thoughts in regards to having a "one-legged knock-out round" for next season?
- I did like its outcome since it forces both teams to give everything in a single match.
It has it pros and cons like almost any rule change. I like it since it gives better chance to underdog to progress further and that is what will probably stop this change to be implemented. Bigger teams have more money and more influence and they don't like lower their chances.

think that implementation of one match kick-out is not going to happen, and do not think that it is just that bigger teams have more money, it is simply TV rights and number of matches that could be broadcast-ed and money that could be shared by teams involved
earlier, teams had to reach final or even get the title to take more money, now that target is already shared before the season, and few matches at the end do not make a difference for each team, but will lower the total amount involved, which will not be approved by all teams

I never thought a final could be this boring but congratulations to Bayern fans.

Really did not expect the final too end with just one goal in it. Neur had a lot to do with that scoreline as well. He didn't let them score even when Mbappe was 3 meters in offside. That move of his when he drops down and spreads his legs and even leaves a hand behind to cover shots trough legs almost defies gravity and body structure.

Bad thing of one single leg knockout round is that it has to be on neutral ground while I like that teams have a game on home pitch with max number of home supporters attending.

For me, i will not buying players who already refused sign offer with high price like Messi. Just around 10 months to go to wait him become a free players, of course Messi have quality, city can buy him now if needed. And take a money from jersey sold, but €700m isn't a good price. Maybe barcelona wants messi became a free player. And the bad things can happens, Messi also possible just sit in bench next season
Messi isnt going anywhere, so of course he would rather stay at Barcelona until retirement. As a star he will continue to get good or bad speculation and media coverage in order to get a lot of reader and that is for his own benefit. I wont believe about that until he decides on the contract issue which is about to end. Staying or going is an option, but I dont think he's going anywhere and staying with Barcelona.

I feel really sorry for Neymar, PSG lost in UEFA Champions League Final against Bayern. Though Bayern truly deserve the title, congratulations to become six time European Hero.

Yeaah, Neymar looks the most sad among PSG players, but Bayern deserves to win the Champions League trophies after all.
In terms of the game, Bayern dominate, especially in the midfield that Bayern are superior. But I enjoy the Champions
League final, because the referee's decision was very good, so even though the match was quite hard. To my knowledge
there are no decisions that are detrimental to the two teams.

I saw him waiting for VAR and they told him to not count it as a penalty since Coman lost control, however the defender hand was more than just touching Coman's neck and shoulder for few seconds. Thus I believe it is a penalty.

Well at the end, we haven't many goals, not both sides scored as many expected, yet Bayern won! Congratulations Bayern!

Penalties don't matter much to me,
Cards don't bother me.
Sheiks mils don't make you win
Haircut does not make you mean.

When you face a real team,
You understand, like clock swiss.
No weakness, no seam,
Only one machine there is.

Bayern is on a winning spree,
Congrats on a 6th Champions league title victory.
