Watching some of the games tonight, definitely not good for my health! I put a 5-leg parlays on slight favourites, and 4 have already finished, mostly by a hair's breadth! So I got Qarabag, Molde and Rapid Wien all winning by 1 goal, Maccabi Tel Aviv went on and romped 3-0, but I'm now sweating on Legia Warsaw who hasn't had a shot on target against Nicosia.

Was 17/1 for this parlay. Cashout option only giving me less than 5/1...

Congrats on your bet wins.
By reading your post I thought I was in a Europa League thread.
All those teams are not strong enough to play on the Champions League. I hope that stronger teams are going to win them on the next round in order to have strong groups in the regular season.

If Neymar wants to leave PSG will reduce the release clause for him. With covid still some club like Mancity, Barca, Manu can still afford him. Though RM could be in the list but they are now focusing and investing everything on there new stadium.
I thought the release clause is always signed and stamped in the contract. The only way is when a player initiates by buying out the clause. But I don't think many clubs could still afford him even if the release clause was bought out.

Barca has a chance to sign Neymar again if they sell Messi to Mancity. There is a strong rumor in the air that Mancity is trying to get him while Barca board is also ready to sell Messi now as only 1year of contract left.
Don't forget Messi's release clause is in the range of €700 million (£630m/$825m)  Grin
Manchester City just escaped a UEFA ban after breaching the Financial Fair Play policy by a whisker. I don't think they will be looking to risk again any time soon

Well that €700 million was when he leaves the club after the first of June. Before that date he could go to another club for free. Now they try to strecth that date of 1th of June due of Corona and that it extended the football season.

Exciting matches are not necessarily all about the goals. I have seen some 0-0 draws in my lifetime that I would also call extremely fun and entertaining just for the lack of goals. Leicester versus Southampton 10-0 also was not THAT great a match for a neutral to watch,,, the quality was low:)
Sure, i mean match like 2-3 or similar -- a game that ends 10-0 is certainly boring!
I talk about games played in defense to protect the result, this bores me and makes me angry
I go to games to have fun, not to see people dribbling with the ball.. just for explane
Like the UCL final, do you think it was fun even if it only had 1 goal? for me it wasn't because the game didn't really entertain the audience or as a fan I was more cool watching the final where the game was very tight, guarding and attacking that was the real match and somehow in every final there was always a game that was not interesting even I was happy in betting but it was appropriate hope.

Flick is a very strong coach. Not everyone can come and immediately take the treble. Moreover, without spending a lot of money on transfers. Many, even buying the best players for big money, cannot do it.
But the way was already prepared, because he finally took over the team during the season. Only the next season will be interesting. He has to prove himself there.

Because it just fits. Here is an article about Hansi Flick:  https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/hansi-flick-10-things-on-bayern-munich-s-record-breaking-title-winning-coach-11663

Before Flick, the team showed uncertain play. Flick found a balance, managed to build the game without new expensive purchases. So I think next year Bayern will show the same game as in this one.

Bayern was very bad under previous coach,  Niko Kovac.
What changed?
Flick have the same players like Kovac before but have much better results.
I think that key is in very good relationship between coach and team.
Players trust coach and have confidence in him.

PSG with their fast and good dribbling forwards can do well if they score first and take a lead against Bayern. As we see in the final match, Bayern did not have an easy game like their previous matches with Chelsea, Napoli and Barcelona.
Not only PSG, but Bayern also can do well if they score first. I am confident that the Bayern defense is much better than PSG. If Bayern can score first, they can keep it till the end of the match. Anyway, I still doubt that the first score can determine the result of the match. It is too early to judge like that, mate. Also, you mustn't predict the result of the upcoming final match based on the previous match only. It is a different match and a different time, so anything can happen not the same as before.

@kawetsriyanto what do you mean by upcoming final match because the finals already took place, and Bayern won the game by scoring the only goal of the match. Also I was bit disappointed because it turned out to be such a low scoring game, but in the end Bayern deserved to win the cup as they have played exceptional football in the the entire tournament.

Probably biggest surprise in this qualifying round that Celtic were eliminated by Ferencvaros. Can't call it as sensation, but still, unexpected. Celtic completely dominated, especially in 2nd half, but it wasn't enough.
There was some drama in AZ Alkmar - Plzen game. AZ equalised score on 95th minute and won game in extra time.
Legia were favorites on paper against Omonia, but they lost game in extra time.

exact! total agree!
these are the real matches, in my humble opinion.
I like to watch exciting matches, where many goals are scored and where there are so many emotions!
Games played in defense to protect the result -> bore me.

football thrives on emotions, the finals are a continuous emotion for the entire 90 minutes of play, and both teams play to bring the trophy home! those who do not let themselves be overcome by fear play with the belief that they can win. and whoever scores first does not always win! see Sevilla - Inter

Thrilling matches are always the best to watch, the ones with lots of goals and a show! for example, bayern barcelona 8-2! an incredible match from every point of view .. and a guaranteed show

Hi Babo it's a pleasure to see you again, I completely agree with your thought, matches with many goals = fun and fun, I think so too, seeing very close and hard-fought matches in midfield I find them very boring, that's why I often watch the atalanta! so I never get bored, however it is I really hope that the competitions will restart calmly and that the fans can return to watch the matches at the stadium without the covid fear that looms

If PSG had scored the first goal they would probably be european champions now.
Football is not as simple as that and we can not rely on missed opportunities to say if it happened, PSG would have won the trophy.

However I do agree that in the final match, PSG controlled Bayern's offense system and tactics very well. Despite some personal moments from Lewandowsky and Coman, Bayern did not dominate the game like they used to do in Champions League this tournament. PSG did their works well just lack of correctness in their shots.

Lol. No one really knows the result of the final match even if one of them scored first. There were already many final matches that cannot determine from the first goal. You are too early judging PSG to win if they scored first. The final result is always hard to predict even one team seems to have a better squad. Anyway, It is not a usual match, bro. It is the final match of the Champions League, which team who has a better mentality and motivation, should have a higher chance to win.

yes bayern won, but I didn't like the game..it absolutely didn't give me the idea of being a champions league final
in the end it has to be a show, not a team trying to take the cup away at all costs

for me is a boring game
but congrats to bayern for the win

I agree the game was not of previous years quality for a final of the Champions League however in general was a really good game to watch at least I liked it.I feel sorry for Paris but Bayern has more experience in such events having won this competition quite some times and that was the difference who netted them the title.Paris only earned some experience which can be useful in upcoming seasons of the Champions League.

Really? Imho last years final Liverpool vs Spurs was boring. I enjoyed yesterdays match. Both teams had good chances, we saw some great goal keeping, the match was intense and open till the end.

In my opinion most, me included, had an completely wrong expectation of this final after they saw how PSG beat Leipzig and Bayern defeated Barca. But teams tend to rather play wait-and-see than going full offensive from the start.

I agree with your thought.  After watching Barcelona vs Bayern Munich match, I thought we were going to see an offensive game in final. because PSG and Bayern Munich both have some best forward lineup. but I was really disappointed to see the final match. I expected something more aggressive. but they can give us a slow gameplay. though PSG got some good chance but they missed.

Why are you so sure PSG will win if he scores the first goal? There are many possibilities in the match, anything can happen. But we have seen the final result, Munich deserves to be a champion. They appear dominant. Just look at the goal from Munich, not a penalty or luck, it was born of good cooperation. Munich did better that day so they won.

many teams scored first and then unleashed their opponents' anger
you never know what can happen in football because men have sentiments and with anger/hate/fear they can win anyway

making the first goal led teams to lose finals (I remember a Juventus match)

yes I agree, the goal was totally fair, all the PSG defense was there, it wasn't even a counterattack, Munich was just better than Paris.

I said probable, not sure  Grin
I'm older and I have watched a lot of such finals and experience tells me that the team that is the first to score in such tied matches usually wins in the end because of the great psychological advantage given by the lead in the match.
