Flick is a very strong coach. Not everyone can come and immediately take the treble. Moreover, without spending a lot of money on transfers. Many, even buying the best players for big money, cannot do it.

He's doing well with transfers so far too. They brought Sane for next season, he'll be a tremendous addition to an already world-class team.
They are losing some players that they have loaned (Perišić, Coutinho, Odriozola), but I'm sure they will either bring 1-2 more players or promote some youngsters from within.

They are in a really strong position to be contenders for the CL next season as well.

Why are you so sure PSG will win if he scores the first goal? There are many possibilities in the match, anything can happen. But we have seen the final result, Munich deserves to be a champion. They appear dominant. Just look at the goal from Munich, not a penalty or luck, it was born of good cooperation. Munich did better that day so they won.

many teams scored first and then unleashed their opponents' anger
you never know what can happen in football because men have sentiments and with anger/hate/fear they can win anyway

making the first goal led teams to lose finals (I remember a Juventus match)

If PSG had scored the first goal they would probably be european champions now.

But the way was already prepared, because he finally took over the team during the season. Only the next season will be interesting. He has to prove himself there.

Because it just fits. Here is an article about Hansi Flick:  https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/hansi-flick-10-things-on-bayern-munich-s-record-breaking-title-winning-coach-11663

the match looked boring due to the lack of resistance from PSG...
almost 60% in 90 minutes of the game, PSG only survived. Their attacks are very ineffective and too rushed when they get the opportunity. in contrast to Bayern who are very calm, structured and look experienced.

yes, TOTAL agree... PSG have no experience, for this reason.
Bayern are very calm, and experienced.
but game is boring, really boring

I'm the kind of fan who loves the show, even if their team loses Smiley
I watch games to have fun, not to cry if a team that is paid a lot of money loses or wins

Whether this final will belong to PSG or they will have to hand over and give appreciation to the German team. Looking forward to that in a moment.
My guess is a little right, there is not much goal difference, Munich won 1-0. Seeing the match, Munich's ball possession was superior to PSG. PSG is not without good opportunities, just look at three golden opportunities, but Manuel Neuer performed well, Nuer was able to make three brilliant saves. Congratulations to Munich now your record equals Barca's six-time Champion League winners.

Bayern and PSG have very different styles of play and it's difficult to compare them.
Both teams had their chances and the team that scored the first goal won.
If PSG had scored the first goal they would probably be european champions now.

yes bayern won, but I didn't like the game..it absolutely didn't give me the idea of being a champions league final
in the end it has to be a show, not a team trying to take the cup away at all costs

for me is a boring game
but congrats to bayern for the win

I agree the game was not of previous years quality for a final of the Champions League however in general was a really good game to watch at least I liked it.I feel sorry for Paris but Bayern has more experience in such events having won this competition quite some times and that was the difference who netted them the title.Paris only earned some experience which can be useful in upcoming seasons of the Champions League.

Really? Imho last years final Liverpool vs Spurs was boring. I enjoyed yesterdays match. Both teams had good chances, we saw some great goal keeping, the match was intense and open till the end.

In my opinion most, me included, had an completely wrong expectation of this final after they saw how PSG beat Leipzig and Bayern defeated Barca. But teams tend to rather play wait-and-see than going full offensive from the start.

I never thought a final could be this boring but congratulations to Bayern fans.

what are your thoughts in regards to having a "one-legged knock-out round" for next season?
- I did like its outcome since it forces both teams to give everything in a single match.
It can happen next season because the pandemic might last next one or two years. Vaccines are not yet available, safe vaccines I meant. Even there are available safe vaccines, it takes time to produce and distribute on massive scales. The pandemic won't end if vaccines only be distributed in rich nations. The world nowadays is in globalization era so everything, especially pandemic must be solved with cooperations among nations, worldwide.

One-legged knock-out also gives more odds for big surprises but I won't think it will be remained after the end of pandemic. Income from televisions and on stadiums are huge and live-source for football clubs as well as UEFA. They will try to bring Champions League and Europa League knock-out phases back to traditional ones as soon as possible.
There will be many surprises, everything is possible in one game, and especially the advantage of the home field for some teams is much more pronounced.
Artificial grass, the size of the field, many other factors play a big role that can be of great help to the hosts and it will be interesting to follow these qualifications.

Fans not being allowed to attend totally kills the atmosphere so I’m not surprised it wasn’t the greatest final. Bayern fans won’t care on bit though will they? Smiley

Well after all, Bayern was strongest team this year. They won all 11 Champions league games this season and most was won very easy, like Spurs 2:7 Bayern, Crvena Zvezda 0:6 Bayern, Barca 2:8 Bayern, two big wins against Chelsea. Though, not everything was easy, remember how they were struggling under Kovac in first half of season. It's only unfair that Lewandowski will not get Golden Ball this year...

It was interesting, but I would prefer everything back to normal. As said above, in such case games would be held in neutral stadium, it's not good for fans who lose chance to support their team at home pitch. Also, less games is not good for TV and UEFA because it's less revenue. One game gives advantage to underdogs, but I think better tema should win.

yesterday due to work I missed the final, I saw that Bayern won with just one goal. a shame for PSG I was hoping so much they would win their first champions! what to say finally this champions ended after so many difficulties, and we start immediately with the new edition! football never stops

It was a boring game for me I didn't like it.
PSG didn't play well, they have 2 good chances to score but Mbappe missed and he lost the chance to bright at this final.
They were so close but he didn't played well in the game that they had to do so.

Exactly... PSG played terrible and the shots they do had they missed by miles...
Bayern won and it was an overhyped Finale which was pretty boring to be honest.

They played as terrible as against Bergamo and other teams. They just made it to the final with much luck. I am glad that PSG did not win. Bayern played the perfect season. 11 wins in 11 Champions League games, that has never happened before and shows that it is currently the best team in the world. PSG as a team is overrated. If Paris had won, it would have been undeserved.
I agree with you, Bayern was clearly better than Paris, and I suspect PSG to have reached this stage thankfully to the covid pandemia.
But how do you know Bayern is "the best team in the world" if they don't play against teams from the other continents like South America for example?

unfortunately the finals are won by the teams that affect the most and that don't let their emotions overwhelm them, a shame for PSG to have lost a big chance, it was their first final ever. they will try again next year for sure

I saw him waiting for VAR and they told him to not count it as a penalty since Coman lost control, however the defender hand was more than just touching Coman's neck and shoulder for few seconds. Thus I believe it is a penalty.

Well at the end, we haven't many goals, not both sides scored as many expected, yet Bayern won! Congratulations Bayern!

Penalties don't matter much to me,
Cards don't bother me.
Sheiks mils don't make you win
Haircut does not make you mean.

When you face a real team,
You understand, like clock swiss.
No weakness, no seam,
Only one machine there is.

Bayern is on a winning spree,
Congrats on a 6th Champions league title victory.
Highlighting the nice poem lol +1
I like the richy rich money that don't make you win. Indeed it might give you the opportunity to get the best players yet it doesn't guarantee winning a trophy!
The machine part too is very accurate, made in Germany machine is the best!!
