Russia pot 2? Based on what? Their league is not strong enough to get that position.
Well, champions of Russia and Portugal are in 1st pot not without a reason. It's determined by UEFA country coefficients. Russia and Portugal have good ranking and it goes instantly after TOP 5 leagues (EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1).
BTW, today draw of 3rd qualifying round was made. There will be some decent games like PAOK - Benfica or Dynamo Kyiv - AZ Alkmar:

Pot 1: Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Sevilla, PSG, Juventus, FC Porto, Zenit St Petersburg
Pot 2: Barcelona, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Chelsea, (Benfica or Ajax)
Pot 3: RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, Lazio. (this team can join this pot if they qualified: Dynamo Kiev, FC Salzburg, Olympiakos and Celtic)
Pot 4: Stade Rennes, Istanbul Basaksehir (this team can join this pot if they qualified: Atalanta, Lokomotiv Moscow, Marseille, Club Brugge and Borussia Monchengladbach)

I think the champion of Portugal and Russia should be in Pot 2.
uefa should consider the league coefficient of each contestant. Sad

Well this article is quite bad and already wrong and outdated. There are a lot more clubs that fighting to get into Champions league that have good chances not mentioned here and some are out of it already as they lost heir quali matches.

Russia pot 2? Based on what? Their league is not strong enough to get that position.

We pot 1 Wink

We move for the CL again this season. I want Atleti to get our revenge.

Just for your info.
They changed the rules last year for 3 years.

In Pot 1 we will have the national league winners plus the winner from the EL.
In the rest of the Pots, we will find the others team based on previous results in the last years in Europe.

I’ve been reading that Barcelona think they have a solid case that if Messi leaves his release cause of €700,000,000 must be paid. Messi thinks he can leave on a free transfer. Expect this saga to rumble on, it’s not looking pretty.

Many Barcelona players are not the same as they were before. They can still sometimes give perfect matches, but this will be rare. So I think their departure is even better for Barcelona. The most important thing is to give the coach at least three years. Then maybe we will see the result.

Klubs who have good financial will not wait 3 years to improve the condition of the team, especially for the Champions League title. They want to keep fighting for winning every matches, so it's impossible for them to keep a coach who has failed in one season. Anda sometimes unrealistic targets shown by the club owners or official make them hard to build up their team. They prioritize the power of money to recruit any coach they like than club development.

If that happens and Messi leaves Barcelona, something terrible is waiting for Barcelona in the next few years. I have heard rumors that Suarez will leave Barcelona too. we don't know who Barcelona will choose to replace Messi and Suarez. but no matter who will come, they will not be able to go in form like Messi nor Suarez. What about Barcelona's defending lineup? just look the Bayern vs Barcelona UCL's match, this is the worst defending lineup of Barcelona I have ever seen. if Barcelona’s team management want something good for the club, they have to rearrange the whole team, it will take much time.

Barca need a complete squad overhaul, many of their best performing (in recent years) players are past their best. It won’t be done in one transfer window but they will build a squad to be competitive again.

I think the last season was an exception. Messi is no longer the outstanding player he once was. He still has great moments but he is no longer the great playmaker. The team is built for him. I think that is the problem. There were also problems last year. With a new start without Messi and with the new coach, Barcelona will stabilize and in two three years they will play for the CL win again. Until then I don't think they have a chance.

Without Messi and with a team where a lot of the current players are told to leave the club, I don't see them in a good spot for the upcoming years. Two or three years until they are competitive again in the Champions League? What if the officials at Barcelona don't have that much patience and are trying to force success with more expensive transfers? And what if these transfers flop like Coutinho, Dembele or Griezmann?! Barcas financial situation is already not the best and if they mess up this fresh start, Barcas could lose its shine over the next years.

If Messi leaves, more players are going to leave Barcelona thats for sure.
However, it is not necessarily bad. It is going to help build a new team and evolve the strategies and plays that the team had and all was Messi-centric. It is time for Barcelona to radically change.

Let's hope Ajax will be in pot 2. Grin

They just need to redo their campaign like in 2019. Let's hope they don't lose to many players in this transfer window.

What must first change in Barcelona is their club policy, strategy, in fact the whole management.
Changing players alone won’t help much if everything else stays the same.
Barcelona needs new people with new ideas and strategies.
They have to prepare for the era after Messi.

Obviously all those attracted by the possibility of learning by staying close to Messi will leave. This is absolutely obvious..
For this reason I speak of total re-construction of the team. When there are these earthquakes, you simply have to start from scratch.

I think it should be Bayern Munich not Monaco. Speaking of Bayern Munich who wants to see Bayern Munich and Barcelona in same group, this two teams has unfinished business. Bayern Munich has upper hands with the 8:2 win. The group stages will be exciting. Manchester united is back, Italy has strong teams.
Indeed it is Bayern Munich but apparently it is written like that in Italian.
And I don't mind seeing Bayern playing vs Barcelona soon to see if Barca gonna take more goals and score less without Messi (eventually) or not Tongue

Yes, he write in italian (and him said it) Fascia is italian word.
In any case it's not the groups but the bands, I don't know if you know how the combinations work.
For example, not all element of first band can go in same group. Precise rule for give best effort for fun of customers and fans.
