Still, at 1/8 finals Conference league games doesn't looks very attractive to watch. Most of attention will go to Europa league and I'm not going to put much money on Conference league. Maybe I will go with West Ham and Basel ML's. I skip betting on Nice, I simply don't know what to expect from them. They're not very consistent this season and Sheriff is tricky team, already eliminated Partizan a bit unexpected.

I've locked a small bet on Basel and Slovan BTTS @1.89
These two played each other twice in the group stages earlier in the season, a group that was ultimately topped by Slovan. 8 goals in those two games.
I don't rate Basel high, don't think they are as good as they were 5/6+ years ago. The Swiss conceded at home to teams like Pyunik and Zalgiris, and are fortunate to be in this stage of the tournament after being dominated by Trabzonspor in both matches of the 1/16 finals. I like the Slovaks to get a positive result today.

I honestly didn't expect Lazio to lose. I expected Lazio to come into this game in high spirits after defeating Napoli at the weekend and I expected them to win differently. But it didn't happen. In both halves we saw attacks and positions from both teams. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw. In the second half, Lazio were a bit more dominant but couldn't find what they hoped for. With a goal in the 63rd minute, they lost the match 2-1.

you have those on Sportsbet, Villareal, West Ham and Lazio are biggest favorites (around 5 odds)
Turkish teams have bigger odds, but nothing that would send me to think about putting money on them:
- Basaksehir - 21
- Sivasspor - 67
if you are looking for underdog, Basel is a good pick @25 (AZ @10.5 is looking worse then them, IMO)
Although Turkish teams play successful matches, they are not yet fully qualified. Especially the favorite team I saw in the cup is West Ham. Başakşehir is the best among the Turkish teams, but I don't think they can go very far in the tournament. Sivasspor is very bad in their league. I don't think it would be right to expect success from Turkish teams at this stage.

there is several good games on Thursday, but no easy home wins IMO

This is the team that finally broke Napoli. Hail Sarri. Hail the attack, should have been such an easy pick, and I thought nothing about adding them to my acca.
They did pepper Dutch's goal with attempts, but surprisingly allowed the weaker team to muscle them off the ball too much.
Note to self: stick to upsets.

Today's match of the day is Lazio vs Laz Alkmaar. Lazio are the favorites because they are at home. They defeated Napoli at the weekend and will come here in high spirits. I think they will definitely win this match as they will also be in good spirits with the win over Napoli. Az alkmaar is not an easy opponent but Lazio will want to score as many goals as they can here. We are likely to see a different win. It could be 2-0 or 3-1.

especially now, with Maximiano getting his chance to prove himself there, since Calcio is reserved for Provedel
somehow, I think that Lazio will win it in the end, shame that Partizan left competition in this round, after away win, but we basically didn't show anything
Villarreal seems to me the big favorite in this tournament and I gave my preference to them. But in the end, it will be necessary to look at the priorities of the teams, since Lazio will not have an easy end of the season and will the struggle for the Champions League zone in Seria A. How about Lazio and Villarreal? West Ham is struggling in EPL, but they should be happy about draw that they got and they have good chance to win whole thing. Fiorentina situation in Serie A is similar, but I don't believe in them, despite eliminating Braga easy. Personally I would like to see Villarreal vs Hammers in final.NIce is my black horse of competition after they have done some nice job in winter transfer window.
Very true, that's a dream final but I would really like to see a new winner too, which is why I am looking at Hammers as a nice finalist. Lazio I don't know to trust anymore they cannot keep hoping Immobile is winning for them and Nice as you say look like they are changing key persons their team but I cannot see them compete so soon.

That's the only danger at this level of the competition, really, to underestimate opponents.
And to not be prepared for teams that know they will likely lose so will either play to their maximum effort or sit back and frustrate their more illustrious opponents.
I still never get why big teams act surprised when that happens haha.

First of all, I would like to say that they are good matches. It is obvious that the job of our two representatives is not easy. I expect that both Sivasspor and Başakşehir will be the side that will skip the round. Sivasspor may have a little more difficulty in the round. When we compare Fiorentina and gent, fiorentina has more weight.

Trabzonspor got to be the unluckiest team this round by far. Without actually watching the game, they appear to have missed a penalty, another one been shut down by VAR, had a couple of disallowed goals, and hit the post once. Lol Out of 40+ goal attempts and 4+ xG in both matches, they've only scored one goal. 
Reminds me of Liverpool at a point, regularly getting 20+ shots on target and no goals, and I remember 2nd bottom on the VAR table which ESPN used to keep track off (the more benefits you get the higher up the table you are).
I'd take that team back any day!

not only in the europa league but also in the conference league the draw for the eighth finals was made today. maybe you can find your favorite club and see which hurdle they have to take on their way to the quarter finals.

@Joca97 it seems there are some teams who after winning a league, just used up all of their energy for that single purpose and then fall apart after that. Not just Trabzonspor, if you look at past 5 years we had the same in England (Liverpool) Spain (Atletico) France (Lille) and Italy (Inter).
Right after winning, they all did so badly in the followup season and until now you can't see them do anything.

honestly i had expectations that braga could have won that game and that they would be able to move on to the next stage, but for some reason i don't know braga became a very inconsistent team, it doesn't seem like the same team that a few weeks ago managed to be consistent, if they were the same braga from weeks ago they would have won that game, but unfortunately they are at a time when they are not a good option to bet on them in European competitions, well they have already been eliminated, but even in the Portuguese league I will avoid betting on them

Trabzonspor after winning the Turkish league really went down in form from last season. I expected from them to go full power this season and do something big but they are bad in all competitions.
Lazio had a result and were just satisfied and after red card for Cluj they didnt want to do more.
