Pretty long Embarrassed
I find this listing very interesting. Look at the top 5 scorers, their teams are out of the competition. Sterling, Kane and Dolberg #6 with 3 goals each. I think many rooting for Kane to tie with CR7 or maybe become n1 by the end of the final game?

Now Kane has 4 goals and he still has the chance to score more goal(s) because he will be playing in Final game. 1 more goal will make a tie with Ronaldo and Schick, 2 goals or more goals will make him be crowned as the Top Scorer alone.

Will Kane able to score goal(s) in Final to get the Top Score title? I believe he will not be focusing on it because he will be preferring to help the team to win the tournament instead of focusing on personal achievement.

hmph..
Congrats to England that they got lucky into the final even with just one scored goal from a lucky given penalty.
Denmark was playing good against them and was unlucky with the one goal they scored to the 1 : 1.
It was a amazing freekick but it was not enough in the end .
Hope that Italy will win now the final.

Yeah, but this is the best moment for Denmark and best position for them after Final 1992. Most of people also have same prediction, Italy maybe better than England squad. But, the spirits of England players can give something different. As we know, last time England got a trophy already happen very long time ago, this final can be the best history for them to get the first EURO trophy.

Now Denmark played a good game, that's true.
Yes, I think like that, Denmark worthy of the final but they aren't lucky. England gets love from the goddess of luck. they give their own goal and bouncing the ball from failed penalty. Schmeichel has blocked shoot ball several times, he got his father's soul, I think he will be quick to be the same as his father (Peter Schmeichel - Manchester United).
England played better tonight and Denmark were quite unfortunate to protect their lead having gotten the opportunity to score first, they performanced brilliantly and are having a quality team that was well motivated by recuperating Christian Eriksen who suffered cardiac arres during the group stage match,  kudos to Schmeichel who was unarguable voted the player of the match surely following the footsteps of his veteran dad. Finally the England team reached the finals of a major tournament since 1966 world cup much credit to Southgate who had managed the team well.

Is true that the penalty given to England was an irregular one? They have 2 balls on the pitch according to twitter.

It cannot be said that the penalty was badly signaled.
It was from those bids that both situations were valid, signaling or not penalty.

There really is a mindset about the England player within the area. Now it's gone with the necessary intensity for penalty, it can be discussed. But, in this case it will depend on the interpretation that the referee had. But, no one can be shocked to have been given a penalty.

Except for the fans from Denmark.  Roll Eyes

No you don't need to be a Denmark fan to be shocked by this referee decision. If both situations are valid as you say then the referee mustn't choose the penalty because giving a penalty in the extra time means giving the victory to the team. And a team should win because it is stronger than its opponent, not because of a foul of the other team.

Take a look at my merits, It's lucky number
I fell asleep and missed the England Vs Denmark match, I was quite surprised by the result, because Denmark was able to hold on to a draw until the second half ended, unfortunately they were not able to survive in Extra Time.

Congratulations to England who have entered the final and will face Italy in the next 4 days, who do you think will be the champion? Italy or England Roll Eyes

Denmark was really good throughout the 90 but their players can barely stand. With England being able to bring on Rashford, Sancho, Henderson, Foden etc, it's pretty obvious they should be winning this before the penalties.

I'm taking both England to win and England to win with a handicap. The odds look great, 30 minutes is a lot of time.
I wanted to do the same after first extra time but England just managed to score from a penalty. Did not look like much of a contact to me but VAR checked and confirmed it. Scmeichel even managed to save the penalty but he was unlucky with deflection.

Well played.

Congrats! That was well played,

That incident was just still one of the inconsistencies we've with witnessed with VAR, one night the penalty is been given, the next it gets waved off, that doesn't seem like the right to me btw.

Denmark really did well and should bow out of the tournament with their head high, they fought till the very end.

The final should be an intense one, both teams have some points to prove, but is it indeed coming Home or going Rome Huh

it's actually quite fitting that they main host of the Euro 2020 (5 out of 6 games playing at home) get that penalty call..."home advantage"  Roll Eyes  Tongue

Lol and the final game will be in Wembley stadium as well so I think the fact that bookies seems to favour England abit comes from this 'home advantage' eh  Tongue

jokes aside, England deserved the win. Denmark were very poor but mainly cos their opponent dominated the entire match.

Well cant expect much from Denmark, they have come this far and even if it goes down to penalty shootout I still think that England will win this. Besides that, Italy vs England is a very fitting Final game Euro. I'd love underdog stories to win and such but for a 4 year event like Euro, I prefer to have that two top team playing on the Final.

It makes the game a whole lot more interesting to watch rather than a least favourites team against a favourites team

Interesting that both matches in semi-final ended up with exact same result 1-1 after regular time
The same result 1-1, it was just a coincidence. However, it is a semi-final stage, all teams should have extra spirits to reach the final and they must play all out. So, it is not so surprising if both matches were very tight matches. Then, the final matches ideally will be a tighter match.   Wink

Now we have a big final game between England and Italy and in Wembley again.
It is as expected and an ideal final match.
From 4 teams in the final stage, England and Italy are two teams that deserve to reach the final. They can perform well and consistently during UEFA EURO 2020. Based on this matter, they are the best teams to play in the final match.

I haven't watched the game and I have a question reading twitter.

Is true that the penalty given to England was an irregular one? They have 2 balls on the pitch according to twitter.
The irregularity of the penalty doesn't matter, what matters most now is that England have booked their place for the final. From the beginning,I predicted England to win this year's Euro tournament, and my prediction is seeing the light of the day.England was superb in their performance today as they booked their place to the final.

It was definitely a great night! We saw a great competition between England and Denmark. And Denmark didn't surprise me really. They showed how much they wanted to promote to the final. It was really shocking to see that they were the team scoring the first goal of the game. But England weren't late to answer. We didn't see any goal in the remaining minutes. In the extra time, I was expecting to see penalty shoot-outs. But Sterling got a penalty. Harry Kane missed the penalty but managed to score after the GK saved the penalty. And England managed to beat their opponent 2-1 at the end.

Now we have a big final game between England and Italy and in Wembley again.

interesting

bad decisions like that are part of the game even with VAR.
? ? ? ? ?
the main reason VAR was created was to avoid bad decisions

Yeah that sucked the way Denmark lost even after the save if he could have just covered it or deflected it the other way.  Oh well I think the better game will be England-italy anyway.  I like Italy to win it all.  They just look too good to lose right now.

Interesting that both matches in semi-final ended up with exact same result 1-1 after regular time and big final is Italy vs England in 3 days.
Big advantage for England is that final against Italy will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, and this hill be historic chance for them to finally win a title.
Crowd helped England a lot so far and they will be big advantage for them in final at Wembley, but anything can happen in final match.

Finally it was England who went to the final whereas previously I wished Denmark but ok Denmark has played well and it turns out that England deserved it
If the final is played at Wembley, then England is closer to winning with a note that England must win in regular time, if it has to be settled on penalties I think Italy will win.

🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!
What is VAR for, after all? There was no penalty. Why they didn't ask the ref to take a look? When it comes to moments like that, the referee needs to be completely convinced.

Ok, we have the 2 contenders now.
Italy versus England.

I can see Italy stronger than England, but they will play basically at home with the full stadium (even if they have over 30k cases /day of Covid, NO COMMENT) and it will help them a lot.

Without the game at home I was pretty sure about Italy winning, but now... I think is a 50-50
