Cristiano Ronaldo the top scorers at EURO 2020 so far, and leads the Golden Boot race. If Harry Kane shows another great performance at EURO 2020 Final overall math could be changed. He has been in great form since the start of this tournament. I would like to see Cristiano Ronaldo as player of the tournament and Harry Kane as Golden boot winners.

If Harry Kane will perform extraordionry in the final and wins the match then maybe he can get the Golden Boot. But if both Harry Kane and Messi perform well, then Messi will be ahead in the race to win the Golden Boot. I am optimistic that Messi will win the Golden Boot.

Harry Kane just needs one more goal to match Ronaldo and he has an advantage if he manages to bring England to the champion So Harry Kane has a better chance of getting the Golden Boot, only problem is the Italian defense is very strong so it is not easy for the opponent to score Harry Kane needs luck  .

A lot of things have been said about the penalty yesterday, I have to agree with the most saying it wasn't one. I looked at it again a few times this morning, the contact is there but it is minimal.
The referee gave it immediately and I knew that VAR would not overturn it but it was a mistake not telling him he needs to see for himself.

England was much better and deserved to go through to the final though - but it will be hard to take for the Danes.

Forget about the plenty for a moment. If you were referee and you had to decided the result of the match based upon the performance in the 90 mins by both teams, whom will you declarer the winner ?
For me, England played far better than Denmark and rightly deserve the win.

Everyone should be happy with the results except those who are supporters or nationals of Denmark or who have placed bet on Denmark. It was an entertaining match with a dramatic controversial end.

Putting all my money on England now.

Don't take Italy too light, they seem to have a mission to lift the Euro 2020 and this mission is not impossible.  Smiley

Oh shit, here we go again  Grin
It's great that Denmark still has a chance to win, but it's a shame that the winner of this pair will be as worn out as Italy. With the extra day off, Italy will have a slight edge in the final. Hopefully Denmark wins today. England conceded the first goal in the tournament today and must lose  Roll Eyes
Looks like an off day for England in the crucial stages of the tournament, England are attacking but they are missing the target.

Edit:
Damn once again Harry Kane scored the goal for England in the extra minute, i thought Denmark would survive the extra time as well but Harry Kane came to the rescue of England once again and i hope they will hold onto this lead till the end.

While England's victory is a viable option (although I was hoping Denmark would win) it is a pity that this victory was achieved at the expense of a controversial penalty. I think there was a violation of the rules in that episode, but did it deserve a penalty? I dont know. But today I watch all day how even good friends swear about this on social networks and instant messengers. It is sad.

Italy were the better side there and they managed to eliminate Spain 4-2. But I should admit that Spain were the better side in general in this game.
You should have understood this, a team that plays well will lose to a team that plays effectively. That means he can score and win without a good game. Some games I see often it's like in the EPL chelsea they don't hold the ball much but they win. Italy seems to be too, but in this case it's the mentality of the players that decides. Penalty execution needs to have a strong mentality and Spain doesn't seem as strong as the previous game. Their record in penalties was broken in the quarter-finals. Congratulations italy i actually support spain for the champion.

Harry Kane was not in great form since the start of the tournament. If i remember correctly he scored his first goal of this tournament against Germany in the round of the last 16 and even in that match he had the opportunity to score before but it took him until the 88th minutes and a counter attack  to score. Also germany was already risking everything in that phase because they desperately needed a goal and England had a lot of room for attacking at that point. He scored two goals against Ukraine and one of them was the first goal so that was very important of course. In the match against denmark he scored with a penalty that he actually missed but he was lucky enough that the ball came back to him.
I still think that Schick would have deserved the golden boot but he is already behind Ronaldo with his 3 penalty goals.

Bjorn Kuipers from Netherlands will be refereeing the final. A really good choice in my opinion, he's one of the best referees around, had a really good Euro so far, he's respected by the players and rarely lets the game slip his grasp.

_______________

Regarding England's performance yesterday, they had 56 touches with the ball in Denmark's penalty area which is a tournament record since they started counting (1980). Sterling alone had 15, Danish team had a total of 5. A good statistic that shows how superior and dangerous England was yesterday.

Denmark could have merited to reach the final. I liked their game yesterday, I think it was decided by a greater football experience that England has. And, frankly speaking, the penalty has been a huge concession.
Now there is the very last game, and as I mentioned in another thread Italy has all the qualities to get the cup with a clear win.
I am placing a big bet on Italy winning the cup in 90 minutes.
The final match is the most difficult match compared to other match during the competition. So far England and Italy are the two team that have never lost in the EURO 2020 competition as far as I know. Italy has a strong defense, while England have not conceded more than 2 goals so far. I think Italy have a greater chance of winning the title with defensive power and counter-attacking, but England cant be underestimated. I love England, but I have to say that Italy is a strong candidate for the title.

Now UEFA is opening disciplinary action against England over the laser incident in Harry Kane's penalty: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/breaking-england-charged-uefa-over-24487910 . Seriously sometimes fan take it so far doing everything they could whether it be threats, laser or any kind of disturbances.. why they just can't be normal? Is it too hard  Embarrassed

As for yesterday's match, Denmark did great holding England and they kept them on toes until the last moment.

England had 60% ball possession and a lot of more shoots on target, they definitely played better. Denmark had good efforts though and scored the first goal against England this tournament. In the end both Italy and England had to play both overtime, so both teams are a bit exhausted and now Italy has one day more rest till Sunday. It is hard to say who is going to win, but since England never won the EM before I think they will make it this year. Putting all my money on England now.
Eventually, they only scored the decisive goal at 103 minutes. It is not too good for them. If the match had gone to penalty, I don't know what would have been an ending for England.

They managed to win without the penalty and it is good for them. I respect Denmark but it is a better final match with Italy and England. If Denmark manages to join the final, they will begin with 50 or 60% of their energy like Croatia in World Cup 2018 against France. They will be almost exhausted after all things they tried till their last match.

I still cannot believe that england vs denmark didnt go into over 2.5 goals in regular time. It was 1-1 in 40th minute and so many chances in the second and no goal.
I know right! My bet was both team to score and then over 2.5 so I had mixed feelings with the result of the second half. I'm glad I won a little but I'm still frustrated that I didn't win more. I'm greedy I know hehe. It's also a good thing I didn't take the juicy odds offered for Denmark.

I still cannot believe that england vs denmark didnt go into over 2.5 goals in regular time. It was 1-1 in 40th minute and so many chances in the second and no goal. In extra time that penalty was shocking honestly. Clearly not a penalty
England victory over Denmark also presented a controversy that is currently being discussed around the world, I personally am very surprised about the referee decision to give a penalty to the England team, even though it was very clear that sterling only got a little touch and this was not a violation that should lead to a penalty, I personally think that sterling actually diving in the match, and strangely enough the referee made a decision without having to discuss it with the linesman and it didn't even seem like the referee needed VAR to confirm that the incident was a foul or not Grin.

Well, that's football, some people think England deserves a penalty and some people think England is very lucky to get the penalty.

In my opinion, when Sterling fell in the penalty area it wasn't violated by Joakim Maehle. Although there was a slight touch between Sterling and Joakim Maehle, it was not a foul, and I think Raheem Sterling deliberately dives for a penalty.

England deserved to win over Denmark but not with that penalty.

england - italy

I wonder how many people bet italy can win this game?

i bet england will win this game, italy has good defense and a good offense, but england's style of play will make it win against italy. despite the fact that in the games of england against italy, there were more draws, maybe in this game it will end in a draw and they will have to go to the penalties
I also choose England  Cheesy
As expected, although some may not expect and realize that England can be one of the candidates for this final,, this is it, England can reach the final. Defeating Demark maybe not easy but that is it.
And now, focus on the final. Yeah, you are right, Italy is not an easy opponent.

It is as expected and an ideal final match.
From 4 teams in the final stage, England and Italy are two teams that deserve to reach the final. They can perform well and consistently during UEFA EURO 2020. Based on this matter, they are the best teams to play in the final match.

For England, I can say that they absolutely deserved it. Italy also deserved of course but Spain were better in the first 90 minutes I believe. But Italy still managed to move them out of their way which shows how much they are decisive.

As the game is going to be played in Wembley again, I see England one step ahead. They're going to have a huge spectator advantage. Let's see if Italy will be able to deal with this psychologically.
