Does anyone know why there is a very interesting situation in some qualifiers groups?

I mean for example Georgia have made it to the playoffs despite being behind Norway. The same thing happened for the last-placed team in Group F which are Estonia also. The rules UEFA have determined are just really awkward truthfully. Other than that we can give Ireland's having another opportunity through Nations League as another example too.  Sad

Placement into the Losers Tournament is based on the ranking of teams in the Nations League tournament. Yes, this is absurd, but in this way UEFA is trying to add value to this tournament, which everyone has already given up on.

Path C actually gives a decent chance to Luxembourg.

They showed way more than Georgia in their qualifiers and if they progress, anything can happen in 1 game.
Greece is the big favorite of the whole Pot C, but having Luxembourg at the Euros would be fun. And, well, really bizarre at the same time.

Yes, it would be funny to see, for example, Germany winning the group stage against Luxembourg with a score of 20-0  Grin And I agree that thanks to one meeting, everyone has a chance. Path B will obviously be won by Ukraine, while Path A will see Wales and Poland meet in the final.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best thing that happened to Portugal National Team, anybody wants to argue about it? I wonder why they'll disrespect him! Shit sucks honestly. Personally, I consider it stupid to not have a good relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo, asides his own personal achievements, he demands too much from the lads.

Cristiano Ronaldo become Portugal national team top scorer by scoring 10 goals, he still with consistency on the top performance although his age over 38 years old. Cristiano Ronaldo returned the trust of Roberto Martinez who still called him for the Euro 2024 qualifier. Looks have hood relationship building between Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal manager hope keep continue when Euro 2024 will begin. I think one of attacking line of Portugal team will fill by Cristiano Ronaldo on Euro 2024, no doubt for Roberto Martinez not incude him due top scorer achievement on Euro qualifier and Ronaldo has quit well performance with his teams Al Nassr become top scorer awhile.

Left seven months later Euro 2024 in Germany will begin and hope all top players not get injury at the end of league with their club and get participants on Euro 2024.

Roberto Martinez has really improved the performance of the Portugal national since he took over the managerial position of the team and his tactical and technical abilities as the manager of Portugal has been demonstrated by the the country's perfect record during the qualifyers.

Cristiano Ronaldo who was surprisingly not picked to start Portugal's most important game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup but has regained his starting place in the team since Martinez arrived as the Italian manager's relationship with the all times men's international football  highest goalscorer has always been very great

Portuguese national team has always been good, I can remember the Euro's won and how they pushed themselves upwards to achieve that. They have qualified and quality players to win them the World Cup but not a manager with class who demands better from then club. The last coach was a bit sentimental with his decisions during the world cup. Anyways he's gone for good now. I won't praise the former Everton and Belgium coach a good coach will do same with these set of players.

Rather, the peak of the Icelandic team was 2016, when they were able to get out of the group at the European Championship, and then in the 1/8 finals to beat England and reach the 1/4 finals and lost there only to the gaining power of the French team, who in 2 years will be world champions.
Now the national team of Iceland is experiencing bad times, but still good fight to the end for the exit from the group.
Luxembourg has a population of 400 thousand like Iceland, so we can say that both teams show excellent results in the fight against more famous teams.

However, in qualifying for Euro 2024, Iceland completely failed to compete so their dream of going to Germany was dashed.
Iceland still have a chance to qualify. I think they can beat Israel, but after that it will be more difficult. If in the end for the exit Iceland will have to play with Ukraine, then the chance of exit will be more in Ukraine, but if Bosnia and Herzegovina will beat Ukraine and get to the final of the selection to Iceland, then Iceland have real chances to beat Bosnia. Just with such teams as Bosnia and Herzegovina and Israel to cope with Iceland is quite possible.

So we are waiting for spring and maybe Icelanders can give their fans an exit at Euro 2024.

I also predict that Poland will get a ticket to the next round, followed by Wales and Ukraine. In my opinion, these 3 countries have the potential to enter next. Judging from the statistics, these 3 countries were quite impressive in their last previous match. But they must be careful not to be careless in the slightest against their opponents because each country will play all-out with a few remaining tickets for the next entry.

I also agree with you. These three countries have the potential to get a place compared to the remaining teams currently. I think that among Bosnia, Finland and Estonia who will be their opponents, Poland has a greater chance of securing victory. Finland played quite well and Bosnia was also quite impressive. I don't know about the other 3 matches but I also agree with you that the biggest opportunity is with Poland.

Wow! So, if Italy plays like garbage and Albania is good, then Albania should suffer based on some crap ratings, and Italy should make a profit? And you apparently assume that this will be “in the interests of everyone”?  Roll Eyes This point of view seems a bit arrogant to me.
For the first time in a long time, UEFA did something reasonable, and you are defending the old corrupt system that increased the advantage of already strong teams and oppressed the weak ones due to some crap ratings based on games that had nothing to do with the tournament at all.
I feel like we are talking about just drawing luck, based on this pot situation we should not really be considering them all that different compared to what they used to be, I mean we are talking about a difficult group that could be like just good teams. I feel like that should not be all that important and we could just ignore the situation to be a bit of a different case.

I think it should be important to see that we could still have some good teams and some bad teams in all groups, and that's going to be a very big deal. Euro is a great situation to test these out and see if it works and could be something that will go on to be tested in other stuff as well. I still think that we need more teams to join though, to make it more fun.

Random can work in an “unusual/unexpected way” under any drawing system, but it is obvious that the team from the fourth basket has a much greater chance of getting into the death group than the team from the second basket. As for the fact that it’s worth adding more teams, I don’t understand what you mean. If you are talking about the tournament of losers, then it will give 3 more teams, if you still want to increase the number of teams at the European Championship, then I don’t think that this is a good idea.

Soon there will be play-off matches to qualify for the Euros... Poland will play Estonia, Ukraine vs Bosnia, Wales vs Finland, Israel vs Iceland... Of all these teams it seems to me that Poland will definitely win... I have my doubts about the others...

Poland is having quite a simple game ahead of them because I really cannot see Estonia doing damage to this Poland team but they might score 1 goal.

Bosnia vs Ukraine is that game where theoretically Ukraine should win but Bosnia could put serious problems for Ukraine.

Wales vs Finland. I think is time for Finland to be back at Euro right ? This team deserves it in my opinion.

Israel vs Iceland ...I can't really say who will win because both teams are not in a great shape.  Undecided

I think the world of politics has entered FIFA, Even though they say they have nothing to do with any politics in the world. I think FIFA is also an ally of the United States. This can be seen from the fact that they strictly prohibited Russia from participating but they allowed Israel to participate.
There is nothing new we are watching things like these for decades, but mostly peoples were not realizing about this all but now due to social media and better awareness things are widened open so people's thinking about this all.

Russia vs USA and Wester World is nothing new it's started decades back, and we have two blocks but now recently we have USA and allies as more powerful just because of this China and Russia are trying to create strong block but currently not working as they wanted.

FIFA is strictly under the USA and its Wester allies control, and they are doing things for their own, specially boycott of Russia at all forums are part of this all as they are showing how strong they are and can manipulate things for their own.

For Ukraine and Greece I agree with you but for Wales vs Poland this is a bit difficult to predict, specifically I would prefer to see Poland win but still Wales cannot be underestimated so I think the chances are 50:50 only luck can help them, so will the 3 teams qualify for the next stage through the playoffs? I don't really understand the rules because I see some other teams are not in the playoffs Norway, Sweden, Israel and others even though this team also has enough points.

Apart from that, the group winner is also our concern we can see Romania, Albania and Hungary at the top of the group some teams even have a record without defeat well, these teams can be called underdogs which can give surprises to favorite teams. Turkey is also a concern for us because it has played impressively so far.

Wales v Poland would indeed be the most challenging potential matchup in the final stage of playoffs. I made my decision on Wales as I felt that way but I was missing another important information which @CLS63 gave me. I didn't know Poland have been that dominant against Wales in so many head-to-head matches. Now it is much more complicated for me so let's see first if even both of these teams will reach that stage. In the end we have witnessed many surprises in the qualifiers stage of such big tournaments.

In addition to 3 teams coming from playoffs it isn't going to be completely over. Because for example Ireland have one last chance to join Euro 2024 depending on what they do in the Nations League.  Smiley

By the way, why is Israel allowed to perform? I thought FIFA was against any country that invaded the other. At least that's what happened with Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine and Russia was literally not allowed to take part in the World Cup. But Israel is literally doing a genocide on Palestine. But no actions are being taken against them.

So the injustice in making decisions makes the credibility of FIFA and UEFA questionable. I also don't understand their decision to include Israel in the official tournament and exclude Russia. It would be a shame if politics entered football and clearly damaged the order in the world of football. The media crew and everyone who has power in the football authorities should also voice justice at every congress. I really love this sport and really hope that everything can take place fairly and free from political intimidation.

Luxembourg scored 17 points in their group with Portugal and I think Greece scored less points in their group, so I would write off Luxembourg right away because they can beat teams like Greece.
As for Ukraine, I agree that Iceland is a rather convenient opponent, but it can also surprise and the chances of Ukraine's exit are much higher.
Iceland used to be a very strong side. But for the last 3-4 years, their form has gone down. Small island nation with a population of less than 400,000, so it is understandable. In case of Luxembourg, they scored 17 points from 10 matches, and still failed to get a direct qualification spot. Unfortunately for them, they were placed in a tough group along with Portugal and Slovakia. Now coming to Ukraine, they missed direct qualification by a whisker. Both Italy and Ukraine ended up with 14 points, but Italy progressed thanks to superior goal difference.
There will always be some teams that will end up with not a great result no matter how many points they get, it's a sad fact but the reality is there, you can't just have every single good team going, some of the good teams will end up losing out and that's normal. I believe that the best thing to do at this moment would be just focusing on the ones that won and the ones that will go there.

I think euro cup will be fun because we are going to see plenty of fresh teams too, and it will definitely be difficult for every group because pots look quite strong as well. I believe that the best thing to do right this moment would be making sure that we are betting the right way, since teams are quite close to each other, betting is harder.

Yes, Iceland at that time was phenomenal enough to be able to reach the semifinals. Even though previously Iceland was not the favorite team at all, even to qualify for the group phase, many people thought they would not be able to.

But the Icelandic team at that time was not a team that was suddenly able to show strength just like that, but the 2016 squad was the first generation squad as a result of a systematic training program over a long period of time so that they managed to appear stunning and were truly welcomed with great enthusiasm. by the Icelandic people.

However, in qualifying for Euro 2024, Iceland completely failed to compete so their dream of going to Germany was dashed. Iceland must return to carrying out a systematic program like what they did several years ago.

Wales didn't manage to beat Turkey and game ended 1:1. On the other hand, Crotia managed to defeat Armenia with one goal and came out of the group as the 2nd. Thus, Croatia and Turkey qualified to participate in the EURO 2024 European Cup. So Turkey secured 2nd pot. Croatia secured 3nd pot. Türkiye finished the group qualifiers at the top for the first time.

Croatia won anyway so even if Wales won it wouldnt have mattered. But Croatia barely won but yet again they are on a big tournament again. Turkey really surprised me in this qualifiers with how good they played,as a reward they passed the group easily and are at a big tournament finally

Yes, I will also say that Turkey definitely surprised a lot of people by showing such a good performance. People definitely expected Croatia and Wales to be the top two things from this group. But I think we have to give credit where credit is due. Turkey really performed well and also showed that they are improving as a footballing nation. And Turkey definitely has some really incredible upcoming players to watch out for. I am really interested to see how Arda Guler is going to perform.

Iceland is still a respectable team given their country size, but you are of course right that the best result they ever had was the tournament you mentioned. That win against England will forever be legendary. I guess a lot of people can't remember how that game went. It was England who took the lead early in the game and everyone thought that this is going to be a lazy walkover. Iceland got into motion and put up a fight that I have rarely seen from an inferior team against England, a nation that is known for this sport across the globe. That was amazing and I really like when these surprises are possible at big tournaments.

Luxembourg has truly come a way up in football recently and these qualifiers showed just that, not many years ago they were a team that were happy when they were losing by a single goal to any team playing against and now to be fighting for a qualification spot through play offs is a great achievement for them.

I think that they will not be able to win a direct game against Greece but in football anything can happen as they say and I don't exclude big surprises from these play offs.

Luxembourg is one of the richest countries in the European Union, and they have been quite successful in attracting talented immigrants from around the world. And this has helped them to improve the performance in a big way. A number of players, such as Enes Mahmutović, Seid Korač, Lars Gerson, Dirk Carlson, Mica Pinto, Leandro Barreiro, Edvin Muratović, Danel Sinani, Gerson Rodrigues and Alessio Curci are of immigrant background. The only disadvantage is that Luxembourg doesn't have a well established national league, so most of these players need to be stationed outside the country.
