I dont know how Poland always make his way to the competitions, they play one of the worst and ugly footballs i ever see for years, but they still win some points here and there and with a few draws they go into the tournaments.

About the group, what a lucky guy is Cristiano easy group for them.
Poland performance during group stages is not impressive because they only can able to finish at 3rd place under Albania and Czech and i thought they won't be qualified but fortunately Poland can through an play off stages with very well because they can beat Estonia with big scores and Poland also can gets the last ticket of Euro 2024 after eliminate Wales through an penalty shootout and if i am not mistaken Poland highest achievement in this tournament is only quarterfinal stages even on Euro 2020 Poland have to eliminate early because they only finish at the bottom of group table

And regarding their chances in Euro 2024 i think it's very hard for Poland to qualified to the next round this because they are into hell group along with Netherlands and France and we all know these teams is favourite champion especially France that during qualification stages France has been showing fantastic performance which makes them deserved to called as favourite champion besides these teams there is Austria and this team also cannot be underestimate and my prediction for Poland is they potentially can repeat their last achievement in this tournament and failed to qualified

Portugal really have one of the most acceptable groups for themselves. Georgia aren't much of a threat. Czechia aren't also playing like in the old times. The only big threat could be Türkiye in this group. There are really talented players in this generation of Türkiye. If they show a strong team performance they can fight back against Portugal.  Smiley

I can’t say that I follow Turkish football very much, but it seemed to me that they have been in crisis for quite a long time (both at the club level and at the national team level) so they are unlikely to pose a threat to Portugal. I think if we take the strength of the teams “on paper”, then the first place will go to Portugal, the Czech Republic and Turkey will compete for second, and Georgia will remain in 4th place with no options. And by the way, I am sure that all teams will try to score as many goals as possible against Georgia, as this will increase their chance of getting into the 1/8 from third place.

Poland defeated Wales on penalties to win the final group A match. It was a bit of a surprise that Poland, who had no shots on target in the match, won. We can say that the Welsh team was better, but the match went into extra time as neither team could find a goal until the extra time. When the score remained unchanged in extra time, penalties decided the winner. Poland managed to win 5-4 on penalties. Of course, it was a sad result for Wales who missed the last penalty shootout.

It must be one of the most interesting examples really. Poland had 0 shot on target in regular time and extra time both. But they still managed to qualify for the main tournament by penalties.  Cheesy  If they had a much stronger opponent instead of Wales then I wouldn't give them much chance to move on with this poor effort.

I think Turkey won't be a big problem for Portugal either, but I'm not sure about the Czech Republic, I mean I expect the Czech Republic to play better and they should beat Turkey. As for Portugal, yes, this is a very easy group for them, if they can beat the Czech Republic, then I admit that they can win all the games in their group. Georgia will be an outsider, this is clear from the very beginning.

Group B looks like a group of death honestly. Italy, Croatia and Spain all are in the same group.  Roll Eyes  Poor Albania, they are really unlucky with the draw. I guess that they wouldn't stand a chance here.

As for which one of the trio to reach next round I would say Italy and Spain for now. I'm confident about Spain but not so much as for Italy. Because they don't look very reliable recently. Maybe there could be an opening for Croatia if Italy don't improve their performance more in the group stage.

I'm looking forward to watching Turkey here.  Smiley  Portugal are the toughest competitor to beat. But I believe we can beat Czech Republic and Georgia both if we play decently. I believe in Montella to make the right decisions.
I think group B is not the strongest group, after all Croatia, Spain and Italy are about the same level of teams and even Albania can not be written off, because the selection for the Euro they passed very confidently and can present surprises, so in this group all teams have about equal chances, but group F where Portugal's opponents are Turkey, Czech Republic and Georgia looks quite heterogeneous and with a probability of 90% Portugal should get out of this group. Otherwise, all groups look equal in composition.

I wouldn't lie given that there is going to be some best loser or best 3rd placed teams qualification, that literally cancel any potential group of death analogy, I also like the 41 Odds for Croatia to go all the way, Belgium also seem like good value to me, along side the other two teams in the same row as Croatia in the odds table, I mean Italy and the Netherlands, I really like those value, maybe I could separate bets on all these 4 teams to go all the way, if any does, I'll still be getting a minimum of 11x Odds in return  Grin Wink
I feel like as long as teams barely get out, they will lose a bit later anyway, if they weren't good enough to get points in their group, what makes them think that they will do fine after they get out of the group stages. Of course there could be some differences, but that doesn't mean that it will work that well, we need to make sure that things do look easy for most people in the end.

That usually isn't case with the so called best losers or lucky losers, some of them play well enough but are just rather in a much tougher group, and once the group stage phase is over is a knockout and almost any team's game to win, where very minute details and occurrence are bound to be the determining factor of who advance to the next stage in most case, meanwhile some of these also tend to get to avoid the biggest threats in the knockout phases therefore having a supposedly easier to the semifinals or, perhaps, even the finals.

This year they were playing very bad football and it looks like Lewandowski is not good enough for them and the easy group they were in the qualifiers with Czech and Albania as direct opponents they should have qualified directly in my opinion yet I am happy that they made it and they are now in a very difficult group with Austria and France in there things look quite complicated.

What is Albania doing against World Champions in the group and World Cup finalist, that is the most difficult group possible for a team like them, they will net exactly 0 points in the group stage as I see no easy way for them during this upcoming Euro 2024.
In EURO 2024, Poland had difficult opponent team in group D have to face Netherland, France and Austria with favorable team will qualify to next round France or Netherland.
But this time of Euro 2024 has chance for the best third teams standings finish will qualify to knock out round and Robert Lewandowski if can't finish on first or second place must take the best third place.
Poland performance in EURO  2024 qualifier not impressive yet, Robert Lewandowski qualifying to final round of EURO trough playoff round and must improving their performance if want get easily to knock out round regarding have to face France and Netherland had much experience with most best players having.

They're quite lucky and the only problem for them will be Turkey. BTW, do you think Portugal can make it to the semi-finals? considering they're one of the favorite teams with the lowest odds. I think it's still possible they go to the semi-finals, but not sure they can go to the final.

I think its too early to predict Portugal can advance to the semifinals because now they are in the "easy" group:
Group F: Portugal, Turkey, Czech, Georgia
Group D: Holland, France, Austria, Poland
Group E: Romania, Ukraine, Belgium, Slovakia

Round of 16:
Group F winner vs 3rd place A/B/C
Group F 2nd place vs Group D winner
Group D 2nd place vs Group E 2nd place
Group E winner vs 3rd place A/B/C/D

So if Portugal wins Group F, then it is very likely that they can qualify for the Quarterfinals, because their opponent in the round of 16 maybe only a weak team.
But if Portugal only finish as runner-up in Group F, their opponent will be France or Holland.

Quarterfinals:
(Group F winner vs 3rd place A/B/C) vs (Group D 2nd place vs Group E 2nd place)
(Group D 2nd place vs Group E 2nd place) vs (Group E winner vs 3rd place A/B/C/D)

So with the schedule above, Portugal opponents in the quarterfinals will almost certainly be: France or Holland or Belgium.
That is a reason why I still doubt that Portugal can qualify to the semifinals.

England and France are quite highly favoured for the championship. However I wouldn't have expected England to be favoured the most truthfully.  Tongue  I don't know maybe their reaching the finale of Euro 2020 was also a factor in this. But I would rather show France as the biggest favourite anyway. I believe they are still the strongest among these teams.

When it comes to England they really have an amazing squad which is full of so talented players. But their problem has been with the management. That's why they can't win a title even for once for many years.  Sad

Southgate isn't the right guy for this job I mean. England officials should consider a change to start off with a clean slate.

England's pretty good journey in several major tournaments so far has made England one of the favorites to win Euro 2024, especially if we see if their journey in the group phase will be very easy by facing countries that are below their current rank, I think England will be able to go well this year even to reach the final round because they are filled with good players and of course they have a lot of experience When it managed to bring England to reach the final round at the previous Euros.

My only doubt is that maybe when Southgate again makes strange decisions in implementing game strategies, I hope Southgate will not repeat his stupid experiment when England lost to Brazil a few days ago only because he put some players not in their best position, including when Phil Foden who often played in the middle was shifted to play on the wing and obviously it was a mistake because it caused Foden not to play With the maximum, but despite it all, I'm pretty sure that this year England squad will be able to challenge for championship the Euro 2024 title again and maybe France will be the ideal opponent for them in the final.

Only 1 answer, even though they played badly, they had luck which took them to EURO this time. But their luck seems to have stopped at yesterday's play-off because afterwards they will meet the Netherlands and France.

Everyone was probably thinking the same thing: Portugal's group is quite suitable for Ronaldo to continue adding to his incredible international goalscoring record  Grin
But in fact, weak names do not guarantee anything, for example, the day before yesterday Portugal lost to Slovenia 2-0 and even though it was a friendly game, this is on the contrary, evidence that in Euro 24 games it will be even more difficult due to the high price of each game.

I think with shocking resulted team going to finals or something would be definitely not that easy, but we should probably consider them as lucky. I believe that the results will be basically the top ranked teams going all the way and that should be the case here as well. Why would that change anytime soon, a good team is a good team.

England do have one of the best squads in years, but to say that the coaches are to blame for the failures, I wouldn't. In 2020 at the Euros England reached the final and only by chance lost in a penalty shootout to Italy, and in 2022 reached 1\4 finals and lost to France, in fact one of the main favorites and France won with great difficulty, with a margin of one goal, but unfortunately for England in the French team has Mbappe and to win France now need to put not 100%, but all 200%.
This time I believe France is still the favorite of the tournament, and England is probably the second contender to win.

The Euro games will be very interesting, many good national teams have qualified and this will greatly increase competitiveness. Looking at the possible teams that could win the Euro, in my opinion I'm seeing two good teams at the moment which are:

- France

- Germany

Germany, after having had a very poor performance for a while, having lost against Turkey, then lost against Austria in friendly games under the technical command of Julian Nagelsmann, Germany this time in their friendly games chose strong teams to play against them, he chose the Netherlands and France, probably Julian Nagelsmann wanted to test Germany's strength after the probable changes he must have made to the team and to my surprise and I think this must have caught many people by surprise, Germany won in the friendly game against France, even though it's a friendly game, it can still be something positive. Then Germany won in the game against the Netherlands, who are also a strong opponent. That's why in my opinion Germany, being the organizing country and having shown good performance in these last friendly games, may be capable of winning the Euro

France is a team that in friendly games has shown itself to be a weak team, I believe this is a strategy by the France coach to meet the schedule and not let his players get injured and at the same time only the players stay in sync with each other In games involving the national team, I saw that in those games he didn't bring Antoine Griezmann, who is a very important player in France. This means that when France plays in the euro with Antoine Griezmann and all his good players, they will play seriously and in my opinion they can win the euro. For me, France is currently the best team in Europe.

other teams that I think could surprise are: Spain, England and Portugal

For Greece and Georgia it was an extremely important match, especially for Georgia, which seems to have got to a major tournament for the first time and therefore it is clear that the teams were afraid to play open soccer and one goal for 90 minutes hints at this, but in general emotions were decent, there were suspensions, scuffles and in extra time there were 2-3 chances and Greece and Georgia could score, but had to decide everything in a penalty shootout.

Wales played well enough in qualifying, considering that there are no stars there, and the golden age of Bale apparently passed in 2016, when Wales was able to get out of the group at the European Championship and reach 1\2 finals.
It's a pity that this time they were unlucky not to qualify for Euro 2024.

Georgia surprised, or rather I would say that Greece missed their last chance, when it came to penalties it became clear that everything could end badly for Georgia. I think it will be difficult for Georgia at the Euro, but in any case this is a good achievement for them.

In the Wales - Poland match, it was difficult to say which of them was stronger, but the attack line looked stronger in Poland, and I assumed that they would be able to achieve victory in regular time, but in this match, also everything was decided by penalties and the Poles played very well.

Of all the matches, I liked most how Ukraine acted, despite  that they were the first to concede, they dominated almost the entire game, and it was clear that they were full of desire to win. They now have a lot of players playing in top championships, and they coul to put together a good team.
Well Ukraine's odds were 1.7 and for Iceland's were 6. I certainly did not think that the difference in class of teams so great to write off Iceland and when the Icelanders scored first it seemed that the bookmakers made a big mistake giving such a low coefficient on Ukraine, but apparently bookmakers know everything and so in the end Ukraine really passed Iceland and came out not Euro.

Poland team do not have a very expressive national team and in general they were lucky that the Welsh team did not have a big star in the squad and that's why everything was decided in the penalty shootout and I think that if Wales had someone of Bale's level in the squad, they would have beaten Poland.
