This could have actually been a more enjoyable tournament if some other favourites also played better. I mean England and France especially here. I can say England were better to watch at least but still not good enough. Bu thankfully we had Spain and Germany as well.  Smiley  After Germany were eliminated I was fully confident about Spain to win the title.
France performance was not impressive at all everyone expected more from them but they couldn’t match the expectation. Somedays are like that because you can’t be winning all the time, Germany was one of the best in the competition but unfortunately Spain proved to be better and got them eliminated but at least they impressed everyone with their performance, it clearly means this year is not their years so they will try harder next time.

If England had a pair with either Germany or Spain earlier after their group stage or at the group stage then they might have not even had the privilege of playing at the finals in the first place because there was no way they could have get passed Spain , Germany and even France .. yet they failed at the final  Smiley...they really need to put in more effort probably better luck next time as we now have  a defending champion which is Spain.
England followed a more easy route and that was why they must have made it to the final. I also believe if they have been through the route of France they might not reach the final but still that doesn’t mean that they didn’t try their best and reaching the final was totally deserving. England still need to improve in many areas if they want to win the Euros someday, firstly i think some decisions made by Southgate are not the best and it probably have effect on them.

Yes, it's true, maybe England wouldn't have been able to get to the final if they had met Germany or Spain earlier. But their luck was indeed quite impressive. and it was the second final in a row in which England had finished runners up for two consecutive Euros. And maybe in the next Euro Competition England could again be able to advance to the final. and if that happens then it is quite surprising. But they have never won a European title even though they have always had great players in their squad. And when England made it to the final again, I thought that England would win the European title for the first time. but apparently that didn't happen. And the best team like Spain still gets it because Spain was the team that deserved it from the start. Because the way they play is always not boring.
It was obvious that England was lucky to have reached the final stage, but that can't be said of the semi-final and the final games, the team did their best with a better opponent. Of course, they couldn't have beaten Spain, everyone should know that unless the luck that helped them initially helped them again, but this time, the better side won. Contrary to the claim of if they initially met the stronger team, don't undermine the power of luck, if Spain or Germany met England earlier, they might still have escaped them if they were lucky the way they had it, it would just happen and that's it. Has Germany not been sent home by the lesser teams in top games despite their proficiency? But I fear Spain.

What baffled me most was not even the match but Gareth Southgate resigning after the match. I wonder what he could have done after reaching that level. Some people's decisions will not cease to surprise me. But truly, I would have loved it more if it was Spain and Germany that played the final, it would have been more challenging than the way Spain pressed England as if they were not playing the final.

good players, as well as managers, these two objects must synergize with each other to get good results. What I see in the England national team is just good players without a good manager, that's why. You're at an important point, England not Argentina that have Messi, therefore they should evaluate where the problem comes from. Play on the field is also influenced by the manager's strategy.
it takes a coach who has the courage to create a strategy that is quite attractive if you want this to happen. Spain has this even though the depth of their squad is actually not as good as England. But they have an attractive strategy. Meanwhile, England always played it safe and did not dare to increase their aggressiveness like Spain. Maybe England should look for a new coach who can encourage the players to be more aggressive on the field.
England ought to have known from the many games they’ve endured and the bardo escapes that playing it safe haven’t seen them through so well. Against Switzerland was it, the Swiss did score and the moment they became aggressive, Saka found his chance and gave them their equalizer and extended the play time to the plus minutes. That’s what aggressive play actually gives you. With all that squad, everyone of them was world class, not as much as I can say for Spain but, Spain did what they could to control the game and when it was least expected, they found the space.
Klopp wouldn’t be a bad replacement for Southgate, he knows these boys and he’s no stranger to management in England. I think he would do very well if contracted.

For England, well it’s just stars everywhere you turn, all lacking any major international trophy and are very hungry for that but, they just didn’t show it on the pitch. They let their scare activate safe mode for them and that’s how you trash it. They completely trashed a good chance, especially after Cole Palmer have them that glimpse of home.

Well, that's what a team must have if they want to really perfect their quality on the field. Coaches who can truly see the potential of their players and can also bring it out on the field are really needed. And it is reported that Klopp is one of the candidates to replace Southgate.

If a team wants to continue to perform consistently well then there must be good understanding between the players. Any mediocre team can perform well if the chemistry between the players is good. For example we can see Leverkusen and Girona teams. Both teams have performed well despite not having strong squads.

England have a very strong squad. But the bonding between the players is very weak. But I have not seen the coach take any steps to strengthen the bonding between the players in this team. I would say that England won't be Euro champions only because of the weakness of their coach. With an experienced coach, England had all the qualifications to become Euro champions.

Maybe France remaining at number one in rankings is because they won the world cup in 2018 else I don't feel they deserve to remain there judging by their performance in the just concluded Euro's. Not even Belgium deserve to be ranked 2nd because of the same dismal show bit I guess FIFA has their reasons.
No doubt about how Spain were excellent in the tournament as they had an all rounded squad depth, no areas where lacking and if it were just by the performance displayed in the tournament, they should be in the first position but third place is not bad.
Luis de la Fuentes have shown that hardwork and determination always pays and I really commend his efforts at taking a team of majorly young boys far, given them an opportunity to play for their country and excel.

Comparing Spain's opponents to England's, Spain definitely deserved the trophy in the final. Spain have played well against their opponents this season and have had some good games. England, I think with a little bit of luck on their side, made it to the final. The fact that Spain has eliminated so many tough and favorite teams should be an indication of how much they want the championship.
It's just as if the Spain squad were filled with little boys with no regards for their elders as they literally out played every team they came across. With the way this team is set up they can even channel all other opponent for the upcoming world cup edition and if things were to be the same I definitely don't see any team stopping them from actually securing the title and becoming world champions.
Spain is able to be consistent in every match they play so it is not surprising if we see that they are able to reach the final round and win the championship trophy, facing England precisely the young Spanish squad is able to continue their positive trend so far so it seems that they are also still worthy of being favored in the World Cup later, but it seems that for the World Cup, Spain will have quite a tough job because how there will be many strong teams will played Especially Latin America which is likely to be a stumbling block for Spain later, Spain currently manages to become the country that has won the most Euro titles with a total of 4 championship trophies, in addition to winning the Euro Champion trophy automatically makes Spain current ranking rise to 3rd FIFA ranking.

~snip~

Uefa have now selected several players who are worthy of being included in euro team this year and the team is mostly dominated by Spanish players, So this indicates that the current Spanish squad is really filled with very good players.

Maybe apart from Kyle Walker, I agree on the best line-up for Euro 2024. The reason is that the RB position that deserves it more is Dani Carvajal. We know that the right side of the Spanish defense is always safe with its impressive performance. Not only at club level, Dani Carvajal can still make a big contribution to his country until the final.

Apart from that, I am very happy to see Spain's generation of golden wingers consisting of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams because these two players often cook up the opponent's defense, especially in yesterday's final match against England. On the other hand, Cucurella, who usually performed poorly with Chelsea, when playing for Spain surprised everyone with his performance. Even his crucial interceptions often saved Spain from dangerous attacks from opponents.

I would be very surprised if England won this cup. In my opinion, it was not England's right. Spain reached the final by eliminating France and Germany. England, on the other hand, had played against easier teams. Spain got the championship it deserved. England, on the other hand, showed that high transfer fees are of no use in the football world and that the team that plays team games wins. England's players are among the most expensive in the world in every field, but they keep losing in the finals.
France Germany Spain and England were favorites in this tournament but in the end we saw Spain and England in the final. For the final match it was actually a difficult task to pick either team between England and Spain as both Spain and England are strong teams but England did not show their usual performance against Spain. If England had performed a little better, then maybe the dream of winning the Euro title would have been fulfilled but it was not to be. Despite being favorites in the tournament, England eventually lost the title to Spain.
I think the tournament favorite was Spain from the beginning. I was also thinking about France in the final. Of course, it is no surprise that England reached the final. They have great players, but to be honest, their play in the tournament was slightly above average. Spain got exactly the championship it deserved. I think they are the best. Most of the players are young and they will probably see the finals in other tournaments as well

England's passage to the knockout stages was easy for them, as England only beat Switzerland and the Netherlands to enter the final. Spain, on the other hand, defeated strong teams like Germany and France to enter the finals and the final match was within their grasp. If England had played the teams that Spain played in the knockout stages, they might not have made it to the final, although England's performance was not that great. Anyway, as Spain team is strong enough and their performance is not comparable, surely they are deserving champions which is why they won the Euro trophy. But England needs to up their game and if they can build a strong squad for the next Euro Cup they will have dreams of winning the title.

This is something that must have happened especially with the pressure and expectations for England which is very large I think he must understand that even though Southgate managed to bring England to the final but in the end it did not have any impact especially with the performance they had in fact it was a natural reaction because even though Southgate insisted on not resigning there would be a lot of pressure from outside who really wanted him fired.

He is the highest paid coach in the Euros but he can't manage the England squad well because his qualifications seem to be lacking for Southgate to control a national team as big as England so rather than adding problems for him it would be better to leave even though the salary received is very large.  Now it depends on England in the end whether they will look for a coach whose scope is still around England or not but IMO they have to be more realistic now especially with some great coaches who are now unemployed like Klopp it is also still worth approaching although there must be many obstacles to recruiting a coach who is not English later.

I think it is clear that England coach Gareth Southgate, is under a lot of pressure. He did good job getting team to final but they did not play well so people are criticizing him. Southgate wants to stay on as coach but many people want him to quit. He gets paid a lot but some people do not think he is qualified enough to coach big team like England. It might be best for him to leave even though he gets paid a lot. Now England has to decide if they want to find new coach who has done well in past like Klopp. It might be hard to hire coach who is not English but England should think carefully about what's best for the team.

Southgate has officially stepped down from his position as England coach.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c978e37ld7ro

I believe this is great news for England, however... It depends on who they are going to bring next. If they don't find a better replacement then this means nothings to them.  Sad

Southgate was feeling the high pressure over himself during Euro 2024. As I was giving this action by him a possibility, I can't say I'm surprised to hear it. I'm afraid he has hever been suitable for this team. England can start lifting trophies finally if they find a good coach.

England is only superior if you look at the depth of the team's squad. but in terms of the game patterns and strategies used in the field, we cannot expect them to win the title even from the start. Because actually we have also doubted them since the group stage where they struggled with quite a lot of difficulty. but they were always lucky in the final minutes of the match which allowed them to advance to the final. But seeing them lose in the final is not surprising. because well, they were underdogs from the start. Meanwhile, Spain has shown better quality than other teams. So many people hope they will win at the Euros this time. And everyone's hopes came true and in the end it was Spain who managed to lift the trophy at the Euros this time. And that's what they deserve.
I think England real problem is just the management issue because I think despite the finals in which they achieve south gate isn't really the right guy for the job because England football is too poor and we all say this because they have all the necessary players to actually put out an outstanding performance and campaign in this Euro tournament but yet they were counting their teeth at almost every game they played.
But it seems Southgate has also realized this. Because I heard that the English national team coach has also resigned from his coaching position at the English national team. And yeah maybe we'll see things differently at the next Euro. because the England national team will have a new coach. But unfortunately the next Euro is still quite far away. But now we can see England without Southgate in the Eufa Nations League. And perhaps the first match for the English national team without Southgate will be against Ireland in September. I now wonder who will replace Southgate. Hopefully the new England national team coach is a coach who can make this squad maximize the quality players they have.

Southgate is considered not very good at exploiting the potential within the England national team squad. And that's why everyone keeps criticizing this coach. But strangely, despite that, he still managed to make England advance to the final. I think England played a less aggressive pattern, but for a moment this also made it quite difficult for Spain. It's just that the aggressiveness of the Spanish players in attacking could ultimately destroy the English defense. England still deserve appreciation even though it looks like they can advance to the final because of luck, but I think they put up a very worthy fight in the final. If England plays a game pattern like Spain, maybe the England national team will really be a pretty scary team at the Euros considering that the depth of their squad is one of the best.

Assuming England won the Euros finals against Spain I would have not believed it and it would have been a shock to me because I see Spain as a team that is stronger and more focused than England. This was why they were very consistent with their game and they dominated in all the matches that they played.

England do dominate their own matcjes and win possessions but it was the opposite when they played Spain and that is how you will know a stronger team. Spain deserves the victory and I am happy that they won it instead of England. No doubt that England have quality players but they have a poor manager who has a lot of resources but does not know how to manage them.

Spain's and Argentina's win (both world cup and this) shows one thing to the world of football; don't focus on just defense. This boring type of tournament style football isn't going to get anyone win and that is why it was important.

England played like underdog all tournament long and got to finals, if they also won, then everyone would have switched their ball playing to like England to get some results. It is boring, and in an era where kids have attention span of just one reel or tiktok, it's bad for football to have 90+ minutes of boring football. I think it's normal that we are getting these winners, because they play, and I mean like really go out there to play. This got them the win and I think teams will realize football is still very much alive.

Spain played very well and in my opinion, Spain totally deserves to win.
The game against the Spain and the England was very surprised things to me after all the hopes that have for the England, but unfortunately disappointing the fans by performing very poorly against the Spain. Honestly in other hand the Spain really deserves to win the match, because even the way the match was kicked off the Spain performance is more better than the England performance.

England tried to maintain a good game but against a very offesive Spanish team, England was not successful and was defeated finally.
No title for England is not a surprise because Englang has been unsuccesful for a very long time.
The main problem of England is there inconsistent that is weak them in every of their opponents, if to say the way they tried to maintain their position against the Spain they keep it up, I don't think Spain can able to beat them the game will either end up in draw; But in my own view the England management is also not trying for them.
