Norway should be able to easy beat Cyprus tonight as the odd points to such happening with just 1.18,in fact two many other good games to choose from and to parlay them together like Spain,Poland and Turkey to name a few and the odd with all of these games should be just over 2.50 with a really high chance of coming true and being a winning ticket.
Hm, are you sure that you want to put some money on Turkey while parlaying with odds like 1.18? While its true that Croatia has issues with injuries (especially when it comes to attack), but Turkey has its own problems too. On top of that, Croatia is historically very hard to beat on their turf (never lost home Euro qualifying game) and I honestly doubt that Turkey will be able to do it tonight. Well, at least I hope I didn't jinx us.  Grin

Croatia - Turkey should be an awesome game as well where I do expect Turkey to score or even win the game.
I just don't understand on what you guys base your optimism regarding Turkey. They could definitely score (or even win) but the way you portrayed is like they are favorites in this game which I don't think is realistic/

Isn't it quite interesting to see the odds of the Spain - Scotland game like this:

- Spain : 1.27
- Draw : 5.80
- Scotland : 12.00

The difference of odds between Spain and Scotland to win is just huge. I mean Scotland are the leading team in their group right now. In addition they beat Spain before also. Of course Spain are a more qualified team on paper and they are playing home here. But I find their odds not worth betting on. It isn't worth taking that risk honestly.

I would rather take a risk by betting on Spain Handicap 0:1 which has 1.83 odds.

With Israel having a lot of problems lately Sad , FIFA might decide to give the points to the other teams from their group. Well , that would benefit my team Romania who is playing tonight against Belarus in away game and if we win this game , I think we are 80% qualified for Euro in Germany and that would be awesome as it's been 7 years since last presence of Romania at EURO.

Croatia - Turkey should be an awesome game as well where I do expect Turkey to score or even win the game.

I think from the games of today the most interesting one (not for betting) is Albania vs Czech,if Albania wins or draw here, chances are high for them to qualify for the second time for the European 2024 after doing so only recently for the first time in 2016.

No, I didn’t forget (how can i forget if the standings are in front of my face hehe). I gave my reasoning that both teams will overtake Scotland. This is unrealistic. Purely mathematically this is possible, but for this it is necessary for Scotland to score 0 points in the remaining 3 games, Norway to win all 3 games (including the game with Spain) and Spain to win the 3 remaining games. Any deviation from this plan automatically qualifies Scotland. I think if you bet ten bucks on such a general outcome, you can get an odds close to 1000  Wink

Oh.. my bad. I didn't read your post carefully. In this case I can agree. Scotland has a guaranteed spot to the main tournament as of now. They have 3 matches remaining, and these matches are against - Cyprus, Spain and Scotland. Winning all three matches will be quite difficult (but not impossible as long as they have Erling Håland in their squad). For Scotland, their remaining matches are against Spain and Norway, but they have one match against weak Georgia. At this point, I agree with you that the odds of Norway qualifying is more like 1/100.

That's bad news for Norway, but there is one thing I never fully understood and maybe one of you guys can shed some light on the situation. I read that there are some backdoors for European national teams to also qualify via the so called Nations League. Does this mean that Norway still has a chance to make it to the UEFA Euro 2024 or is it game over for Norway at this point? All these different ways to qualify for the Euro are confusing as there are also play-offs from the group stage I think. Is Norway officially out (apart from the unlikely scenario that KTChampions outlined)?

Spain is really highly projected to win in this match against Scotland, moreover this match will also be played in Spain. So yes, I think the previous 2-0 defeat will probably be a mission for revenge as well for Spain, maybe with the same score or maybe higher for Spain win in this match . So yes, I personally not sure if this match ends with a low number of goals, because of course Spain has a big ambition to beat Scotland and also to make the points gap in the standings even closer between Scotland and Spain.
Not all the players that the Spanish coach will like to bring to this game will be available. Lamine Yamal will not be available for the game due to injuries, but Spain have other quality players that can make his absence unfelt. Scotland are a strong team in the group, not lost any game in the qualification so far and need to win or draw the game to be sure of qualification, so they will not just be an easy team for Spain to beat, they know they have lost to them earlier this year. The Spanish players will have to work extra hard if they will win the game even though they will have the advantage of home and have a good record of never loosing to the Scott's on home soil.
The Euro qualification is competitive as expected, truly no team wished to left behind, more reason they put good effort in their games played. Pointing towards the Spanish national team. Spain coach, Luis de la Fuente Castillo have arrangements for his team's, basically working on a project for the national team because it's his ultimate priority to meet up the basic standards set out for Spain. Meeting Scotland next, though it's going to be tough and minor absence of important players like Lamine Yamal who's outstanding young talent, his presence is highly needed but the coach will sort out backup player to filled in his shoes.

If I understand correctly, taking into account the fact that Spain and Norway will have a head-to-head meeting in the penultimate round, there is simply no chance that both Spain and Norway will overtake Scotland. Impressive result from Scotland, but it's a shame that Norway (it's unlikely that Spain will fall that low) will go to play in the tournament for the losers, I don't think it will be easy there, so we may see the Euros without Haaland.

You are forgetting the fact that Spain has 4 matches remaining. If they win all these 4 matches, then they will end up with 21 points. On the other hand, Scotland has 3 matches remaining and they are currently at 15 points. So I would say that there is a good chance that Spain will be able to overtake Scotland. That said, I don't have much hope for Norway. They are at 7 points after 5 matches. Even if they win all the remaining matches, they may not be able to qualify for the main tournament. Hard luck for quality players such as Erling Håland and Martin Ødegaard.

Our job is going to be really difficult against Croatia tomorrow night.  Sad  Because we have been undergoing a tough time period recently. Stefan Kuntz was managing the team quite poorly. And that horrible game against Armenia was the final straw. He was even thinking that he was doing a good work with the management of the players.

It was the right call to sack him but we don't know whether Vincenzo Montella can fill his place better for now. Croatia have been a solid team for a while as you know. Modric is still like a machine as he can play for even 120 minutes at this age. While they are in good shape it wouldn't be too surprising if they defeat us.

In group A, Norway will travel to Cyprus. Norway's chances of getting out of the group have diminished, but we can see that they still have a chance. That's why we can expect them not to drop points in this match because in the other match of the group Spain will host Scotland. I think that the winner of this match will definitely get out of the group. If Scotland win, they will be guaranteed to be the leaders of the group regardless of the other matches. I don't expect Spain to lose the match.

Scotland surprised everyone by making it 5 out of 5 in this group. They beat both Spain and Norway. Even if they get 1 point from the remaining 3 matches, they will probably advance from the group. They will play with this comfort. Spain and Norway know very well that they have no chance of making mistakes.
Spain is the favorite against Scotland tomorrow. I'm sure that Spain will win this match and won't allow an accident. Norway is playing with Cyprus. Norway will definitely win this match with a big goal difference. I don't expect any surprises in either match. There were enough surprising results in this group.

I'm sure it will be a very interesting match because Scotland have not lost a single game in the group stage and are in first place... But I would not bet on their win, because they will probably lose in Spain and it will be their first defeat, although maybe the game will end in a draw...
It's interesting for Scotland with 5 wins and only 1 goal conceded, how can it not be interesting that Scotland looks like a big team that controls the game. Lol
Betting is too risky with the odds so far apart, what I see now @11 for Scotland and @1.25 for Spain while the draw odds @5.20 is not brave enough unless you choose Spain because the win ratio is obviously much greater.
But the interesting thing is that Scotland could surprise win again for the 6xth time, it could happen. Cheesy
To be fair that sometimes happens to any team, I am not talking about anyone like Sri Lanka or something but it does happen to many teams and should be considered not a shocker. I personally believe that the best thing to do in this case would be just letting the results be and you are going to handle it very well. I know that it is not going to be that much shocking but it could very well be fine for Scotland to do this well for now and then start playing badly.

Streaks happens to all decent teams, sometimes you just have a good period and everything clicks and the players mesh together very well and you just happen to have good players in each position. That doesn't usually last long and not like they are going to end up winning this cup, there is no possibility. If you think that they won2t win it, and if you can see their stats so far, then you know that they are going to eventually get worse, and betting on them to lose makes more sense in that regard.

They behave like one-man armies because they have no other choice but to give the ball to Bale or Ronaldo and hope for them to score. They do it because at times it is their best bet. But your statement suggests that this strategy is superior to something else and this is problematic. Because if Wales had didn't only have one Bale, but five Bales, the team would be tremendously stronger using all five Bales instead of the one real Bale.

These one-man shows can work but with every next round they can get to, the air gets thinner and thinner because those teams have five or six or seven or even eleven top players and that's when the one-man show usually ends.

Well.. I said that such teams can be effective at times. I am not claiming that they are better than well balanced teams such as Argentina or France. Obviously Wales with a few quality players apart from Bale and Norway with a few good players other than Erling Håland/Martin Ødegaard would be more consistent. But again, at times one-man armies can surprise more balanced teams. Also, I would rather agree with the last line of your post. As the competition moves to knockout phase, it gets progressively more difficult for these teams.

Ok I got you, but you could also see it the other way around. Do you remember when Greece won the European Championship in 2004? That was absolutely no one-man show and it was rather a tremendous collective defensive effort. They have had some players that were a bit better than the others, but all in all it was about the collective effort and they made the miracle happen and beat their opponents as they didn't concede a single goal in the whole knockout round and at maximum scored 1 goal themselves. There are different ways but I agree that the chance for Norway for example, to make it to a final round of a tournament is mostly about Haaland. He can pull off a one-man show indeed, but he does have at least players like Odegaard around him. If you take the very weak teams, I doubt that Luxembourg would make it very far if they had a Ronaldo in their team.

Of course, everyone considers Spain as favourites in this game, but Scotland have a very good defence. If you look at the statistics, not counting the friendly with England, only Norway scored one goal in the group. Even in Scotland, Spain couldn't score against them.
There are many factors that make Spain the favorite in the match against Scotland. One of the factors that makes Spain the favorite is head to head and Spain will act as host in this match.

Scotland's statistics in Group A are quite good, especially in terms of their success in maintaining the number of goals conceded, which shows Scotland as the team with the strongest defense.
Even though in match 2 of Group A, Spain was unable to score 1 goal, the top average statistics for the match, Spain was still good, including in ball possession.

So it could be a draw here.
Still possible.

agree here
Scotland had a great start in qualifications, and already secured their spot on main competition, IMO
Spain has a pressure to win this, especially after losing first match in Scotland, and they should be able to do that

nevertheless, it should be a low scoring encounter, and that is maybe better option than ML on Spain

Looks interested upcoming match UEFA Euro Qualifiers between Spain vs Scotland, Spain have win in this match because they want make points close with Scotland on current standing Group remaining 6 points left. On other side, Norway as potential national team warning due two points left and bad thing if Spain loss points with their position not secure for playing in UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany. All possibilities with Group A happening with some national team have three matches left, but Scotland seems comfortable on their first standings position remaining 8 points left from Norway with two teams each group stage will automatically qualify to EURO 2024. For Group A seems Scotland have one leg their position in final round and waiting potential national teams between Spain or Norway will be partner for Scotland team.

The European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 run from October 12-17 2023, with the the 7th and 8th legs of the Group Stage. The favorite in group D is Croatia. Türkiye, Armenia and Wales are sturggling for second place. Thursday's Croatia-Turkey match is a very important match for Group D. Turkey dismissed its coach because he had a poor performance and signed with the new coach. And this will be his first match.

That's what I was saying. Kuntz thought he was successful but he wasn't really. We had weak opponents and results were normal. Against big opponents he didn't do anything. His squad choice was also poor. He didn't include some players who should've been in the team. He selected some players who weren't playing in their own team to the national team and gave them match time. When such injustices occur in the national team, resentment occurs among good players. Some players aren't called to the national team just because they don't play in big teams. This has to end now.

We can't judge Montella over Croatia game alone either. He didn't have enough time to put his perspective to the team. He has to work with players at least on two camp days to execute his tactical plan. We will probably play with similar old tactics in the Croatia match. First of all, the main plan will be to keep the score at 0-0 with controlled play and good defense and to seek goals with counter attacks whenever possible. If an early goal comes, things could change. Both sides will start with a balanced game. After all, this will perhaps be the most important match of the group.

I agree with you. While Kuntz constantly called the same players to the national team, he did not invite fit players to the national team. And as you said, some players were offended by this situation. Unfortunately, we first watched an unsuccessful Şenol Güneş period, and then an unsuccessful Kuntz period. I hope we can see a successful national team period during the Montella period.
