Sorry for the typo on George Weah. Yes.. he played for Liberia and not Nigeria. If he was representing Nigeria, then he could have easily got a chance to participate in the world cup. And I am aware that Ivory Coast managed to qualify a few times to the world cup. The last appearance was in 2014. Wilfried Zaha started playing for them in 2017, and is yet to get an opportunity to showcase his skills in the main tournament. Yves Bissouma represents Mali, a team which has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup.

Sorry if this is off topic but honestly when watching the Norway match I thought it was very sad when you have to carry your team alone.
He is not alone there, he has Odegaard who is one of the better Premier League players at the moment. I kinda expected them to qualify for this Euro as group didn't seem that bad but since Scotland is performing much better than anyone expected, their chances are not good.

One perfect example is that of Goran Pandeev. He plays for North Macedonia, and as a result he never got an opportunity to participate in the World Cup.
Goran Pandev was part of North Macedonia team for Euro 2021 so at least he managed to experience that.

George Weah of Nigeria is another example.
George Weah played for Liberia, not Nigeria.

Wilfried Zaha, Yves Bissouma and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are some of the players who never got an opportunity to play in world cup, because they represent little known teams.
Wilfried Zaha and Yves Bissouma (who are not top players btw) play for Ivory Coast and they are not unknown team since they were 3 times at the World Cup  (2006, 2010, 2014) in the last 20 years which is not a bad track record at all. Regarding Kvaratskhelia, he is still young player (22 yo) so he didn't have much chance yet to qualify for anything.

In around 2 weeks time, the next round of matches are going to start. Group A is looking very interesting, with Spain now at the no.2 position. Norway has only 7 points from 5 matches and unless a miracle happens, they may fail to qualify for the main tournament. In Group B, it is still a fight between Greece and Netherlands for the second spot, with the latter having an advantage. In Group C, it's between Italy and Ukraine. Apart from these groups, it is now more or less clear about who will qualify to the main tournament from the other groups.
Honestly, I really regret that Haaland will not have the opportunity to play in the UEFA or FIFA World Cup. Unlike Portugal which has history and tradition in world football history, Norway is the same as Wales or even less so. Sorry if this is off topic but honestly when watching the Norway match I thought it was very sad when you have to carry your team alone.
That's definitely a sad thing but he is just from a nation that barely has any good players to be in this cup, so he has to be lucky and I do not think that he will have a career like that on international arena, he won2t have all those Messi and Ronaldo stats at his national club because he has a much worse nation when it comes to football.

Maybe this isn't really regarding football itself, so it could be a bit off-topic, but they are economically very strong nation, so "grow up to be a footballer to save my family and earn millions" do not really hit it close to home with Norwegian kids, they could grow up to be anything they want and be happy, and their family is all likely doing fine too, so there isn't that fire in kids.

Well... it is sad, but we can't do anything about it. Håland's case is not unique. There are a lot of very talented players who never got an opportunity to play in the FIFA World Cup. One perfect example is that of Goran Pandeev. He plays for North Macedonia, and as a result he never got an opportunity to participate in the World Cup. Gareth Bale would have ended up like him, but fortunately Wales qualified for Qatar 2022 (Ryan Giggs from Wales was not so lucky). George Weah of Nigeria is another example. Wilfried Zaha, Yves Bissouma and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are some of the players who never got an opportunity to play in world cup, because they represent little known teams.

GOD is TRUE

Honestly do you think it is a good choice for Germany team?

Nagelsman failed to succeed in Bayern Munich not because he is not talented but because of his age is too young. Many star players in Bayern Munich likely did not respect Nagelsman enough and it is issue of Bayern Munich in the last season. Bayern Munich in their turn, always contribute many players for German team so the problems from Bayern Munich will be seen on German team again.

Problems of German team not only come from Hansi Flick but also come from quality of their players. Recent years, Germany don't have good strikers and after Miroslav Klose, Mario Gomez, it's hard to find a good striker at world class level for their national team. It is big problem in big tournaments like World Cup and Euro and only Nagelsman with a few months is not enough to resolve this big problem.

I will address both points in seperate lines in my own understanding.

Nagelsman DID not fail at Bayern Munich; he had an impressive record with the team winning 72% of games and losing just 8 games in 2 years while at the helm in Germany. Bayern Munich sacking Nagelsman was not about respect or footballing reasons; just politics and they suffered for it rightly.

Secondly; Germany national team under Hansi Flick was the coach fault, he kept on selecting under performing players for national games without making necessary changes or statement. The German side is talented, but Hansi Flick always call under performing Haverts and even starts him too ahead of quality players in form!

Finally, i do not think Nagelsman will have troubles putting the house in order; all he needs is the backing of the Germany football board and all erring players will be dealt with in ease.

After the dismissal of Hansi Flick because Germany lost by Japan, and appointed Rudi Völler as interim coach but I think the results were quite good. Because at least Rudi Völler managed to make Germany beat France in a friendly match after losing by Japan. But even so, it seems that Germany also does not plan to make Rudi Völler permanent as head coach, because based on rumors that are circulating it seems that Germany plans to appoint Julian Nagelsmann as head coach. Although at the moment this is still uncertain, but I think appointing Julian Nagelsmann as Germany head coach seems to be an inappropriate choice as well.
IMHO, I believe Rudi Voller gave the German squad confidence, as proven by their triumph over France. However, Julian Nagelsmann's likely appointment is rumored. Also worried about what was stated. Despite his knowledge of tactics and current football, I worry about how rapidly the club could change. I understand why German supporters want a consistent leader. Nagelsmann's Bayern contract and finances may be a problem. He may struggle to focus and commit, which could damage the team's performance. German football officials must carefully consider their options.
He has an impressive CV as well, first Leipzig and some success, after that Bayern and maybe not that great but still a few cups and all that, so he does look like someone who could be considered. I bet that he is going to make the team a bit better, but not a lot better.

Going to euro cup or world cup is not an achievement for a team like Germany, they should be doing that easily, going out of the group stages should be easily done too but last world cup they failed, so I am assuming that the first goal should be going to euro cup and then getting out of the group stages, that should be important, and then we are talking about world cup, which they should go out of the group stages there too, and hopefully a few more wins.

He is a good coach overall but just wasnt able to find a way in the national team and Germany needed to sack him to try and get some good results because they will need it in the euros to try and win the title because they have a really good team and they need to go far with it.

They can fire the coach or the football association president as they like. But they should look in to the root cause. Performance from Germany is down, because newly drafted players are unable to keep up with the retiring ones. Their star payers like Thomas Müller and İlkay Gündoğan are getting old and more prone to injuries, but there is no one to replace them right now. On top of that, the quality of the local league has gone down over the years.    Bundesliga at this point can't be compared to La Liga or the English Premier League.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
We probably never thought that Italy, the four-time World Cup winning team, would be in such a bad situation. The team that won the World Cup four times after Brazil cannot qualify for the World Cup. Team performance has declined a lot in Italy.
At the moment Italy has appointed a new manager of their team which Italy fans are expecting to see Italy turn around again. Italy has the ability to do it but it needs enough time. Along with the plan, the new manager may change some players because the players who are currently in Italy are not performing very well.

At the moment Italy should be judged on who has the ability to play rather than who has experience. If a young player is talented, he should be given a chance by taking him into the team.

Italy has a good chance of reaching the playoffs, they have an equal number of points with Ukraine and North Macedonia, but at the same time they have played one less game than the other teams. I agree that Italy should have played more confidently in the group stage, but apparently the team is still coming out of a slump, perhaps Spalletti will help the team, it’s too early to draw conclusions about his work.

I also believe Nagelsman can make Germany a strong team again. Although it won't happen in a short time like to appear perfect at UEFA EURO 2024. He still needs time to adapt and find tactics and formations that suit the squad that Germany has. But I believe Nagelsman is a good coach for the German squad and I hope to give him enough time at least until the next world cup.

Julian Nagelsmann is a very talented manager, but what he can do when there is not enough young talent emerging through the ranks? Replacing retired players has been an issue with Central and Eastern European teams for some time. Putting pressure on the coach is not going to resolve this issue. The German football federation needs to look in to grassroots, and examine why the quality of play is on the decline. Or it maybe due to the fact that third world nations are getting elevated to the level of Germany and other European teams.

Yes, the step that Germany must take is to develop their young players. I agree with you that currently players in third countries in the world of football have increasingly developed. That's because they really develop their young talents. Currently I see that the German squad is filled with many old players or at least those aged 25++. Asian countries have grown stronger and many of their players are competing in the Top European Leagues. I think it won't be long before the power of Asian football develops in the future.

I am quite sure that Luciano Spalletti can take Italy through to the next stage, even though it is at a different level, but his success with Napoli can be transmitted to the Italian national team. The victory over Ukraine was very memorable for him, because it was his first match with Italy. Regarding player call-ups, I think Spalletti will keep some and change the line-up according to their performance at club level. If you look at the composition of players in terms of average age, it is actually very good, namely 26,1. You could say that the Italian squad is filled with a mix of young and senior players.

The follow-up match will bring together Italy and Malta, so far Malta has performed very poorly and has not won a single win. So Italy has a very good chance of securing full points in this match. The only toughest qualifying match for Italy next is to meet England, Spalletti needs to prepare his best squad from now on.

They're currently on the same points with third placed Ukraine and that's why they have to win their remaining qualifying fixtures including their away match against England to stand a good chance of qualifying to finals of the European championship.

@bitgolden honestly I have liked him despite him being sacked by Bayern and in my personal opinion he’s the correct person to lead Germany as he’s well aware of the German culture and he will give the fan’s exactly what they want to see i.e. win matches in style. Furthermore the other logical option was Klopp but he had already ruled himself out hence I feel that the fan’s should back him because he can definitely revive German football.

Not too bad if you ask me. Sure he wasn't amazing with Bayern, but why forget about him being awesome with Leipzig? He was great there and did as best as he could. In a league where Bayern dominated like crazy, he was able to take that team to second place right away, and that is a good achievement. Sure, at Bayern he didn't look that great, and not like Tuchel took over and instantly made them better neither, Tuchel luckily won the league because Dortmund lost points at the last game, if they didn't, then Tuchel would have lost too.

So, as much as I would like to say Nagelsmann was the responsible one, Bayern wasn't that good last year neither. I believe he could be a great Germany National team coach if you ask me.

Well, what happened in the German team has left me baffled, above all I think that one of the things that triggered things to get worse was the game against Japan, Japan is a good team, they have shown that, but basically the Alemanes cannot be accepting this, it personally surprised me a lot, because one of the styles of soccer that I like the most is the German style of soccer, it is pure strength and at the same time elegance, then things can get worse in evidence so that you can get an idea that things can go better towards an approach more towards recovering that style, I really liked what the German team showed in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, at that time for me Germany was a team that no one was at their level and that very few gave them the lead, this is something that they must recover, and I want to see Almennia like this, so that they have a great Euro, so for this we have to wait what the new performance will be like coach again, let's see how things turn out with him, obviously the German team understood that the fault lies entirely with the technical director they had, and it's difficult, because Alemana has so many stars, that wow it's impressive that they are in that situation, but That's football, things can get ugly in a moment, but I know that with the new coach they can do things better.

Now they have a lot of competition, I see Spain strong, Portugal at full strength, the German team cannot and should not be the disappointment, their football apart is excellent, the Bundleisga is very good, with the dominance of a very good Bayern, for Law is the best team I see they have, however the German team has many possibilities to do things better, I could not deny that the German team is greatly missing a player like Ozil, for me a good midfielder in the German team and Only better, it's a shame that they don't want anything with Kross because he is a complete player.

Yes, I can only agree with you
in recent years we have collected bad figures
not qualifying for the world and European championships was a crazy bad impression

I would guess that it's more about not having some sort of system built in that players could get used to. When national teams gather around so rarely and all those players come from their teams, we could guess that it's hard to adjust to that life style.

But if you have a single manager for a long time, you could make the team play the same way for decades and that means the yare going to get used to it, even change the way players play at the league as well. He is an amazing manager and I bet that he is going to end up with Italy getting better thanks to him as well. I can't really see why not, he is good enough to change the club over again, not like they were bad just a few years ago, they will get better again quickly I think.
