What good is possession of the ball if 90% of passes are cross-field passes from defenders? At the end of the game, the Netherlands looked better in my opinion (even despite the fact that England scored from offside now). Southgate makes a double change with an emphasis on attack but I doubt Palmer and Watkins will do anything in 10 minutes, most likely we will see extra time.
The substitution is not that bad, but I expected Ivan Toney instead of Watkins because of his physicality and strength; nevertheless, the two players have changed the game, an assist from Cole Palmer helped Watkins to give England the winning goal in the added time before the official extra time; Southgate will be proud if his decision to bring these players in as they have helped the team to make it to the final.

Congratulations to England for making it to the final, they will face Spain in the final which will be a very interesting final to watch because both of them can win the match; let's watch out and see.

Yep. I was proven wrong. Southgate made a clear change and Watkins scored from Palmer's pass. But in fact it was a substitution for extra time; if not, then this substitution was late. But England were lucky and they got to the final without too much hassle (this time haha).
I never thought that I would be rooting for Spain against England in the final, but England turned me off with their play and Spain did the opposite.

Another underwhelm game for England.
Even today they can't dominate the game.

England and France were the 2 favorite teams before the start of the cup and they can be both out from the final if they can score another goal in the final 30 minutes.

They are having a lot of ball possession but they cant score, fun fact, 65% ball possession and 0 corners.
England have done well in this tournament and they really deserve the final which they have now gotten. This will really be a big boast to the English football that have been struggling for a long time now when it come to the national team. The goal scored by Ollie Watkins at the last minutes of the match was really not the fault of anyone; it was just too good a goal and a very important one at that. That strike ended the career of the Netherlands side who have been optimistic of going to the final after defeating Turkey in the quarter finals. I think I'm good with the two teams playing the final, they both tried as far as this year's competition is concerned.

France was worse in this tournament than in previous tournaments. Throughout the tournament, we watched a France that could not establish its offensive line well and had problems in front of the goal. In fact, France is known for its success in front of the goal. I think there is a lack of emotion in the team. Because they have had successful times in tournaments in recent years. Yesterday, they didn't react much even after being eliminated from the tournament and they didn't show the necessary reaction after falling behind. I didn't see much enthusiasm from France and they need a serious overhaul of both the technical team and the squad.

Spain, on the other hand, continues to play good soccer without a break. For this team, the opponent doesn't matter and they can play the same game without any disruption. Although they conceded the first goal against France, they recovered in a short time, responded and took the lead. In my opinion, an easier match awaits Spain in the final and they are very close to the Euro 2024 championship.

The match ended 2-1 and England won. This was a great experience for them and they qualified for the final, the last match, with the goal they scored in the last minute against the Netherlands. Watkins will remember the goal he scored for a long time. We will see the Spain-England match in the final and my favorite was Spain, who I thought would win from the very beginning. Spain, there were 2/3 teams that I consider as favorites and I think Spain has a higher chance of winning in the final

Well am not surprised anymore because this is actually what I expected and was the reason I actually played the match a first half draw which has been what england has been playing for some time now in almost all their game and somehow luck still seem to find their it way to them.

Well just like I stated, it seems they have broken the barrier again and they have scored and leading now by two goals to one and it seems they are going to be on the final showdown once again but this time with Spain.

Netherlands have the ability to beat England team. The Netherlands has an experienced and strong defence. Also the forward players are able to attack quickly. Even so, both teams have equal chances of winning so far. The match may not end in 90 minutes.

The game has been on an equal stance to me and with the way both teams are playing, I don’t see the game ending in the 90th minute. An extra time will be given and if not the match ending in a penalty shootout. England have more ball possessions and are not moving the ball forward to find themselves a good spot to add more goals. Netherlands on the other hand have good attacking force but they’re hell bent in converting any of those chances too. The game might not be as interesting as the first semifinal match, but one goal from any of the sides will be a big game changer to how this game will end and how intensive it’ll be before the match comes to an end.

I wouldn’t say England isn’t dominating the game as it is because, from the much they’ve played this far in the second half, it’s been England. Yeah, I get it that they are not being able to find those pockets of space to get them into shooting range but, they had the ball way more than I can say for Netherland.

However, Netherland have been more dangerous going forward than England. They almost scored with Van Djiks effort from that touch on the spot kick. England was just lucky Pickford was well positioned to punch the ball out. With the introduction of Weghorst, Gakpo is doing his utmost to try and get the ball across wish haven’t proven successful.

It’s not entirely been a running the clock down kind of game although, it’s a little bit dull.

I disagree with you. In terms of consistency, Netherlands have more percentage than England in this competition. With all the squad England has, you'd expect them to be ranking with Spain or Germany but they were greatly disappointing. If not for the fact that they got away with winning by small margins, they should have been dropped since the group stages. I just hope that Netherlands can be able to end them in regular time, cause I doubt they will pack much force if it goes to extra time and I don't trust their prowess at penalty shootouts.
Even though currently England continues to dominate possession of the ball, they still haven't found a gap to penetrate the Dutch defense in the second half. And on the other hand, the Dutch had several times made quick counter-attacks which almost penetrated the English goal. Luckily their goalkeeper, J. Pickford, was in top form and always managed to ward off the ball that came into the England goal. but if this continues then I think England will indeed lose. It's just that I see that the Netherlands has also been carried away by the slow game flow used by England. I think the Netherlands should start changing the rhythm of this game again so that it doesn't get boring. In the first half everything became more exciting. But I think the second half is quite boring. Both teams played very carefully and there were no breakthrough passes that could break the atmosphere there.

For me, England will have to bring out their best tonight if they want to play Spain in the finals because Netherlands in this tournament have been stubborn and resilient too. They have been scoring goals in their games and there hasn't been a dull moment with them. Ordinarily, they aren't any match for England but with the way Southgate's boys have been playing in this competition, it gives any team the hope that they can be beaten.
The last time these two met in 2019 in the UEFA nations league game, Netherlands won 3-1 and strengthened by the fact that in their h2h, Netherlands have more wins than England, Koeman's boys will want to show their prowess again but I don't think the English will sit with their hands folded and let the Orange boys take center stage, especially as this is a critical time of the tournament.
The thing there is will Gareth Southgate employ the arsenal that hasn't been touched in this competition or will he stick with his old ways and expect magic to happen?
Both England and the Netherlands have not been able to show consistency at Euro 2024 even though they have reached the semifinals. I think both teams have the same chance of advancing to the final round, only the hard work and ingenuity of the players can maximize their chances of becoming the winner. England may be the favorite because their squad is even, but Southgate is always experimenting, so England players have difficulty developing their game. Meanwhile, the Netherlands will play Spartan even though the performance of their attack line has not been satisfactory, but I am sure Koeman will not make any mistakes in managing his troops' play.

To be honest, I don't like the overall performance of either team in today's match. We expected the semi-final match to be more competitive. The Spain vs France match was also very enjoyable. But the match between Netherlands vs England is going to be less competitive. Although the Netherlands managed to score a goal at the beginning of the first half, the performance of the Netherlands slowed down after the goal. If we perform like this in the second half, we will see the dominance of England in the match.

In today's game, Spain players had confidence from the start of the game, as France team played well from the start and the result of the game was 2-1 in the first half time. However, the French team does not get a chance to attack later due to the strong defenders of the Spanish team.
But Spandan could have succeeded by more margins, as the two balls that the France goalkeeper saved himself were the most difficult to attack. Lamini Yamal and Danilo Olmo have made the dreams of these two players come true, as the chances of a Euro season cup are high.
Spain team players played well and we saw wives of winners in them and they looked very confident because whole team was Struggling for the team and we can't give credit of win to any single person.  Spain qualified for final after giving good performance in semi final and we  are happy because they are deserving team for the final and they are most favorite team to lift the cup and In think they will lift it after the final because whole players of the team are good and they are lucky people and luck matters a lot in final and we could not win the any Cup without good luck. Many best didn't won the cup in the final due to bad because that is crucial time and anything can happen.

The Netherland had to start defending and waiting for a counterattacks just after England leveled with them with Kane's penalty. This gave England control of the entire game taking possession of the midfield down to Netherland yard box, increasing their pressure. I had expected that the dutch will come out and tap this ball with the English boys making the game much entertaining as Spain vs France was but it's just get boring with how they sit behinds their goal post waiting for England to keep pressing them with deadly shots.
Even now in the second half we can see the Netherlands just continuing to defend and waiting for the opportunity to counterattack. I think the Netherlands reduced the aggressiveness of their game in this match. And I think that could actually be detrimental to them. Because it was only a matter of time until the Dutch defense made a mistake in this match. I hope that the Dutch will also make a strategy of attacking less rather than having to wait to make a counterattack. But so far the Dutch defense is still quite tight and England has not been able to approach the Dutch defense area any deeper. And if the game continues like this then it's possible that the match will go into extra time and could even end in a penalty shootout.

Am kinda even shocked to see England being the one pressing to score more, so far I think the English men have actually had a very good half and if they continue this way they might actually hit another goal and that's why the change is desperately needed, I think koeman really need to set the balance at second half if not they would have some comeback to do because definitely england will score if the pressure continues like this.

We have not seen the England team dominating in the previous matches. Although the England team has all star players in attack, the performance of their attacking players is poor. In today's match, England's players created several goals in the first half. But England missed every opportunity. England also scored their goal today through a penalty.

England performed slightly better in the first half than the Netherlands. But in the second half I think the Netherlands will make a comeback. Both teams will likely be desperate for goals in the second half. Looking forward to see if the coaches of both teams change their tactics in the second half. But I think England will qualify for the final in the end. This team is very lucky.

In terms of ball control, England is better by playing good ball passes. The Dutch had less ball control because England's strategic position was very strong. Their strategy changed in the first half. The front players can alternate between three and four as if the Dutch are very difficult to pass to friends. The Dutch position must pass the breakthrough ball. The Dutch are just physically and mentally better than the English average, looking at the second half the Dutch had to make changes to be able to control the ball for a long time

Surprisingly, the semi finals are seeing early goals with more goals and games been decided in regular time than it were in the quarter finals.
Having the Netherlanders playing a more reserved football at this stage of the tournament isn’t unusual, trying to build from the back and depend on a counter attack to do your bidding still goes but, it only mounts on you more pressure and with a quality such as we have in England, you have Saka to do those cut ins, Bellingham and Kane to push from the middle, Foden at the other end, they just wouldn’t be able to hold off England.

We would see a single goal for differential in this game and that would be about 2+ odds. This game wouldn’t get into extra time.

The match is now tied at 1-1. I am very happy to score the first goal of the Netherlands match. As a result, England's performance picked up the pace and we got a chance to enjoy an exciting match. If the Netherlands could not score quickly, maybe the England team would have played defensively.

In the 18th minute of the match, Harry Kane equalized by scoring from the penalty spot. The match is tied at 1-1 after 35 minutes. England team is trying to dominate the match. England players have 65% ball possession. And made a total of 5 shots so far. On the other hand, the Netherlands players made a total of 3 shots. I think this match will also end in a penalty shootout.

Southgate was surprised, instead of playing cautiously at the beginning of the match, England began to act quite actively and immediately conceded a goal, then the penalty was a little dubious, but the referee has VAR, and so we have 1:1. The Netherlands play the first half almost without the ball, it is also unexpected to see such a game from them, perhaps they are thinking about not conceding another goal, the main thing is that such excessive caution does not lead to another missed goal.
Ronald Koeman had to make something change in the second half and what happened in the first half was very risky and England continued to press them. A situation like that would be very dangerous for the Dutch goal if the attacks continued, so I'm sure England would immediately punish the Dutch.

Just checked the win probability from Google. It is showing 36% for England and 30% for Netherlands. Is it that close? I would rather give something like 80% to England. I don't have anything against the Netherlands, but then they are a team in downward spiral for the last one decade at least. And so far they got very weak opponents (such as Romania and Turkey) in this tournament. On the other hand, England remains as one of the strongest European teams, and they would be the clear favorites today.

I don't dispute your analysis but despite that the Netherlands haven't met any strong team yet they met France in the group stages and it ended in draw so for them to get a draw against France means they have a very solid team and from the start of the competition they have been doing perfectly well so they can still withstand England tonight regardless of the fact that the England team looks more prepared this evening judging from the outcome of the first half in terms of ball possession but however, I still feel the Netherlands can still challenge England in the second half.

England is one of the teams with the best squad in this competition but honestly, they haven't done much better since this competition started but if they manage to reach the finals, then there will be possibilities of winning Spain and claiming the EURO 2024 cup . However, let's take a pie and watch how the second half is gonna go because it's already started and tension continues in the defense of area of the Netherlands.
