Good luck to you and Partizan, casper... Feyenoord are stronger this season than they have been in the years following their title, but I'm backing another Dutch team to lose tonight (Eindhoven). Copenhagen aren't exactly lighting up the world with their brand of football BUT they have not lost a single game since October and at 7/1 to win against Eindhoven, (who I will remember got smashed by Sociedad) that's a bet I take all day. Only managed to get 6.6 but I thought it'd actually get worse. Oh well.

Go København!

I am really confuse about this all because still trying to understand what is going on from UEFA Europa Cup to now Europa Conference League but still have to watch all how they are going to do these because now after few minutes we are going to have few very interesting matches like Partizan vs Feyenoord here Partizan is very good side, and they have very good record at home, so I am feeling here we can go for both teams to score and over 2.5 both have very good odds.

Second match which is going to have some interest for members is Vitesse vs AS Roma here in this match Roma is clearly better team and have some good experience of European matches they need some good result here which is possible from them.

You can refer to the first and second posts for some background information Wink I was just as confused too and yes, it's like a silly league at the moment but the prize money is actually comparable to Europa League so it makes for very interesting competition IMO.

Partizan is playing Feyenoord within Conference league, could be an easier opponent in this round, but what a heck, I think that we could kick them out

looking at sixteen teams in this phase, there is several that can win the competition, but there is no favorite, per se, Roma is probably best team here, with Marseille, Rennes and PSV in competition as well, good move from UEFA to have competition like this, for lower level clubs

My main bet for today is Slavia win against LASK @1.80. I see good value in this game. And I'' risk with small bets on Roma and Feyenoord wins.

Feyenoord is tough opponent, but not impossible to beat. Especially when in recent weeks they aren't playing very well and basically dropped out of title race in Eredivisie.
Good point about no clear favorite. Roma or Leicester is good on paper, but they're not playing like title contenders. Maybe I would go with PSV, then Marseille.

Today there will be 8 matches starting, Roma Vs Vitesse is the match that interests me the most, Roma who are fighting to advance to the round of 16 are certainly favorites to win today, but Vitesse are also a team that is difficult to predict because of their often surprising performances, even though Roma looks to be very underdog today, but I believe that Vitesse will make it very difficult for Roma to win the first leg of the conference league today.

Barcelona ended the doubts of everyone about the rematch by playing incredibly well and destroying Napoli by 4-2 in this away game. Actually, it was not important to play away or home for Barcelona as long as they played like real Barcelona. And they really did so. Having a 4-1 lead until the 60th minute was just marvelous. I assume that Napoli weren't waiting for such thing to happen also. Because Barcelona had many chances in the first leg too but missed too many also. Maybe they hoped for them to be like that. But it looks like Barcelona have improved their game incredibly much.
Against Napoli, the team performed brilliantly. It was the best performance of the season by far. A perfect game from the very beginning to the very end. Barcelona is transforming into an outstanding team under Xavi. They've been in the wilderness for years but have now returned to normalcy. To succeed in a sport, you need the right players, managers, style of play, and perfect environment. We have Xavi here and he is a player who has an extraordinary vision, as well as a coach.
Surely, it's very big news for Barcelona fans and soccer community now they are back in business under new manager Xavi we can call this perfect match because after some bad time now right man and right players are joining this deadly combination which is going to be more better in next season as right now we are heading for end of this worst season which is now turn in some better before end hopefully after win against Napoli will bring very good and positive impact on all unit which will help them for having more better results in last matches of this season.

Now their next challenge is very spirited Athletic Bilbao who is doing some good in last few games in Barcelona able to defeat them then surely they can take third spot in league table as Betis is also going to face Sevilla which is having tough call both teams and Barcelona going to have some good benefit from this matches result.

This is the conference league. My bet would still be on Leicester as I think they are certainly not satisfied with the way their season is going so far. Even though it is a new title, winning it would still be kind of a good result. They aren't on the level that it's normal for them to play in the Champions League. The are also quite of reach of the international qualifiers. Which would make a win of the Conference League quite valuable as you qualified directly for the Europa League in the subsequent season. PSV Eindhoven and Roma might also serious contenders.

I think that the toughest draw is Leicester - Rennes. I believe that both of these teams are strong enough to eliminate each other in this tournament. I still see Leicester as one step forward but it is still early to make big assumptions too. Rennes are a very unpredictable club and they can surprise everyone at any time during this matchup. Leicester will need to play extra good at attacking especially to end this draw as the winner. And actually, they have more attacking players that are very capable of scoring.
There are several big european clubs that have qualified, leicester, roma and PSV are the favorite teams in this competition, in my opinion the leicester and rennes match will be very difficult for us to predict, because so far the two teams have never faced each other and it can be said that the match later it will be their first match in European competition, but as a fan of the English league I might be more supportive of leicester to be able to win, even though leicester is currently slumped in the league but of course the quality of the squad that is owned by leicester is still much better than rennes and I am very hope if vardy and friends will destroy rennes easily in the match later.

Under normal circumstances I would say that Leicester is the favorite, but this season things are kind of turned upside down. Rennes is performing surprisingly well in the Ligue 1 while Leicester City is obviously struggling hard to catch up with their performances from former seasons. I would still say it is a 50/50 game though.

Yeah, Rennes is very unpredictable and shouldn't be underestimated by Leicester. People will tend to think that Leicester will win easily but Leicester this year is less stronger than previous seasons. Anyway that game is the best and the hardest that deserve to be a Europa League semifinal. In the other games there is mostly a clear winner except Partisan and AZ Alkmaar matches where the teams are close to each other imo.

I saw a lot of forum members who couldn't tell the difference between the European League and European Conference League threads,
LOL, I didn't pay much attention to the thread title because it's actually very similar to the Europa League thread. It was my fault and it looks like I will delete it so as not to stray from the topic even though the post I quoted was actually about the Europa League match.

As this is one of the newest club competitions to be created on 24 May 2021, I haven't watched any matches. There are many teams that I have never heard of from various domestic leagues in several countries but some of them are quite well known such as Premier League teams, Serie A, Ligue 1 and others. So far there have been a few teams that made it to the last 16 that I watched a lot of match and they were Roma, Leicester, Rennes and Marseille but the rest didn't.

Bodo/Glimt with another big win and showing how good they are in europe,no body expected that Celtic would be eliminated by Bodo/Glimt. I think they can make a few more surprises in the next rounds. Also my team Partizan won again against Sparta Prague and are now in the next round. Hopefully we go far.
Bodo/Glimt appearance in the conference league really surprised us all, even though it came from an unknown league but Bodo/Glimt was able to destroy the clubs that were above them so far, their ability to destroy Roma with a big enough score certainly proved that they not a team that should be underestimated in the conference league, for the next match Bodo/Glimt will face a team that in my opinion is still above their level, namely AZ Alkmaar from the Dutch league, and of course it will be a pretty exciting and decisive match for both teams.
Congratulations to your team for winning against Partizan and what do you think when Partizan has to face Feyenoord later, will Partizan be able to continue the winning trend?

although the match is still a long time away, that is next month, but it is quite interesting to see the chances of who will come out victorious. although there are still many other matches that are also quite interesting such as roma vs. Vitesse.
but if we look at the overall stats where Leicester are in a bad state can only win 2 matches in the last 5 matches. and they were catapulted to 13th position in the English league standings.

Also, Fenerbahçe almost doesn't chance for passing the round. I hope they can at least score some goals so we can enjoy the match.

why do you think that?
Because Fenerbahçe had bad performance at Turkish league in this season. Unfortunately Fenerbahçe was eliminated by Slavia Prag. And if Fenerbahçe didn't have Altay Bayındır (goal keeper), Slavia Prag could score lot more goals.

Yes, yes, well done to Barca, and this is the nail in the coffin for Napoli's season, but guys, try pay attention to the thread. This is for Conference haha

@buwaytress the Celtic defeat has shocked everybody, because no one really saw it coming and they really need to work on their game plan and come back stronger next year. Also Leicester has managed to qualify, because  I thought that they would be eliminated given their recent form, plus Roma has qualified too so they’re not out like Celtic is.

Roma has qualified yes, but I was referencing their 6-1 thrashing by Bodoe/Glimt actually, their most shameful defeat in Europe, to a nobody team from nowhere (pun there hahaha).

So I meant that Roma now can sit together with Celtic and relive their nightmares of losing to huge underdogs. I bet you one of the Championship teams will want to buy the Bodoe/Glimt strikers.

Also, Bodo/Glimt have been doing well at least in the last 2 seasons and also this season in the local tournament of Norway in the Eliteserien league, Bodo/Glimt can really prove it well in this tournament. But indeed, Celtic is also not a weak team which maybe even Celtic is a very big team in Scotland but in this round even Celtic were only able to make one goal. This big loss on aggregate, Celtic are like a very weak team that basically Celtic could have had a better result, but they couldn't prove it.

@ morvillz7z yeah, to think I used to have Celtic (and Rangers) on my tickets every time in Europe. I gave Rangers up as soon as Gerrard left, it was always clear they were running on fumes fanned by him... but Celtic seem to be more intent on wresting away the Scotting Championship away from their Old Firm foes... And so, Bodoe/Glimt wasn't a flash in the pan after all. Least Roma can have Celtic in the same miserable company, how the mighty Europa candidates have fallen.
