There is not really a team that is now clear favorite to win. Also don't know to what if the teams add much value to this competition. We have seen at the Spurs that they just let the game run. For a team like Leicester it would be a success if they won with big celebration. I personally don't like watching the Conference League. Level is usually to low.
there is no debate, I also think that the favorites to win in this league are Leicester. after seeing how hard leicester worked against man city yesterday I became sure that in the conference league leicester is the strongest

Leicester's opponent will be Randers, surely it will be a very easy match for them

You're right, Leicester is one of the top favorites to win this tournament from the bookmaker's point of view:

Roma - 6.60
Leicester City - 6.60
Olympique Marseille - 7.10
Rennes - 11.20
PSV Eindhoven - 11.30

It has an equal chance with Roma. This is probably fair, however, given the incomprehensible status of the tournament (and the incomprehensible motivation of the teams to win it), I would not bet here.

It is interesting for me to see that Marseille have a very near possibility to Roma and Leicester when it comes to winning the title. Because I really didn't like Marseille's group stage performances in the Europa League. They were too bad at defending their opponents. For example, Galatasaray destroyed them by 4-2. Maybe this is an easier tournament than the Europa League. But I still don't see them having nearly the same chance with the other two for the title.

Marseille is just one point behind second place in the French championship with one game in stock. In fact, if we remove PSG (which is an anomalous club for the French championship), now Marseille is the strongest club there. Probably for this reason the quotes of Marseille are so high, and for the same reason the quotes of Rennes (4th place in the French championship) are also quite good.

Previously I predicted that tottenham hotspur as one of the strong candidates to win this cup for the first time, but unfortunately they had to get a pretty bad decision from UEFA, the tottenham squad which actually played quite well in the confederations cup was forced to suffer a WO defeat from Rennes due to many their squad has been affected by covid and now maybe only As roma may deserve to win the uefa third caste cup.
Although this is the lowest competition, but of course this confederations cup can be an opportunity for small teams who have had difficulty penetrating the champions league or european league, I think although it is not as attractive as the champions league and european league but of course there will be a little competition in this competition considering the team that plays here is a team that has a fairly even squad.

I think that Leicester are one of the biggest favourites of the Europa Conference League title now. They have been doing really bad in the Premier League recently. And maybe they would focus on this tournament to win a title and become the first champion team of this tournament at the same time also. Maybe this tournament has a much lower quality than the Premier League but its being held for the first time makes it really attracting. And I think that the biggest threat to them in this tournament is Roma. And we never know if some unexpected team make a surprise.

The quality of the Europa League is definitely better than Conference League. Relatively good teams perform in the Europa League. The weaker teams play in the conference league. However, it is an honor to be a champion. If they win the conference league or reach the final, the teams will be inspired to strengthen themselves. Players are mentally prepared to perform better. This inspiration is more valuable than prize money.

UEFA idea, with the Conference League, is to allow smaller clubs, which never have the ability to enter a Champions League or a Europa League, to enter an international competition and earn more money. We have to keep in mind, that in some championships, only 4 or 5 clubs normally go to European competitions every year. That way, they can start joining clubs that they have never been to, and try their luck.

Of course this will take away from the quality of the test, but maybe 3 or 4 years from now, things will be a little different.

Leicester is favorites in the Europa Conference League. They are far behind in the Premier League. Leicester will not even be in the top 5. So their only goal now is to win the conference league title. Their gameplay is very good. But their strategy did not seem very good to me. If they can improve their tactics, they will undoubtedly have a worthy squad to win the conference league title.
What is the prize money in the Conference League? I know that the prize money in the Europa League is several times lower than in the Champions League. If the proceeds from the Conference League are similarly less than the income from the Europa League by several times, then perhaps Leicester will not have this tournament in priority.
I checked the prize money for the Europa League and the Europa Conference League both. And I saw that there was no huge difference between these tournaments. For example, the champion in this tournament gets 5 million euros. And the champion of the Europa League gets 8.6 million euros. When we think that the winner of the Champions League gets 20 million euros, we can't say that the gap between the ECL and the EL is very big.  Grin  But still, this is a lower quality tournament than the Europa League of course.

As much as we want to put Leicester out there to be favorites of the tournament, I think what these guys get wrong is the fact that they use two different teams for the premier league and other competitions....if players tire out from the premier league they can not be used for such competitions such as the Europa Conference League and the other problem is that players used in this competition aren't getting game time from the EPL which could mean that they are out of form and they should not be considered as outright favorites tbh.

Yeah for someone that wasn't used to follow closely the european leagues and you give him that picture and tell him what do he think about the actual CL draw, he might not pay attention it is EL in fact Wink
Barca, Dortmund, Leipzig, Atalanta, Lazio, Porto...etc they all used to play in CL but what might attract the attention is the absence of RM, City, PSG and Bayern. It is hard to accept they failed to reach that stage.

They have a long way to go, although there has been a change of late, isn't it ?
Harry Kane has been involved in goals after the arrival of Antonio Conte.
I know with time they'll bounce back,to fight for the top four.
We will see but their recent performance is promising, 3-0 vs Crystal Palace with Kane and Son scoring in this game and in the previous one will give hope for Spurs supporters for sure Wink

They finally made their certain decision about the Tottenham - Rennes game. And they awarded Rennes a 3-0 victory. Maybe people will criticize this decision a lot as the game could have been played on a date before the next round. And I'm also criticizing them. But maybe according to the rules, this was the right call at this point. The plus side for Tottenham is that they can focus more on the Premier League now.  Grin
Spurs were able to confirm their dominance since the first games but they failed to do it. Although things seems to be better now for the team after Conte joining them but I think it would be better to focus on a better ranking in EPL first of all to guarantee at least EL spot next season. I think CL spot isn't an easy task for them.

Of course it's about money again, even if the lowest international league in Europe is not that attractive, Tottenheim would have been one of the favourites for the victory, the winner would have a fixed place in the Europa League next year, so money again and also the points for another seed for example for the Champions League qualification next year are not to be despised. So all in all, this elimination is no advantage for Tottenheim, but I assume that it is like that now and as you write, there is a maximum of financial compensation from UEFA, even if the chances are slim.

No more! I am also of the opinion, if a club registers to participate in a competition, it has to face it correctly. You may not give the same value to one test in relation to others. But I don't think any club in the world likes to lose in the secretariat. Even if it was a game, where only the juniors play, they would always have their chance.

In reality the problem here is the UEFA regulations, which set a deadline for playing the game after it is initially cancelled. A deadline, which, given the time we live in COVID, does not make any sense! That yes, it was a shameful attitude on the part of UEFA, considering that the next game in the competition is only in February.

Have you watched the statistics of fees in such tournaments for a long time? Compared to the Premier League, this is a drop in the bucket, so Tottenham, by and large, do not care. By the way, I looked at the newsfeed, and it turned out that Spurs became an anti-hero after being able to fly out of the European Champions Cup, Champions League, Cup Winners' Cup, UEFA Cup, Europa League, Intertoto Cup and Conference League.

In fact, this is to be expected. English clubs have a very busy schedule in the English Championship and let's be honest, the UEFA Europa Conference League is not a very attractive competition, especially when compared to the Champions League.
It seems to me that Tottenham would be happiest if this story was forgotten as soon as possible, and that UEFA give them some monetary compensation for lost revenue.
After all, it all comes down to money, right?  Grin

This is good news for Tottenham, the Conference League does not provide much financial benefit and a successful fight for a place in the TOP - 4 is much more important in this situation. Plus, Spurs will have a very difficult game schedule after three postponed matches.

I can understand, but I think it's never okay for a team to simply ignore a competition. If you accept to participate in it, you should try to go as far as possible. Furthermore, this theory of being a proof of little value is of little value until you win.

This is a new competition, we cannot expect that the first year will be a super important event. Now, all clubs must value it if they participate in it.

I don't think Tottenheim want that either, the squad is good enough for premier league and conference league. We are not talking about the champions league where a team is challenged much more. But Tottenheim seem to have appealed again, but when are they going to make up the game? The Premier League calendar is very tight. From an Austrian point of view, it's good for Rapid.

According to this news, it seems that Tottenham are more worried about the lost earnings due to expulsion from this competition than the administrative decision of UEFA to prevent them from further participation in this competition:

Tottenham consider legal route after being thrown out of Europe over forfeited Covid-hit Rennes match
Spurs not planning to appeal Uefa decision to give Rennes 3-0 win - in turn eliminating them - but may seek advice on potential lost revenue
