Sevilla came from nowhere to win this title which is surely one of the most amazing thing we have in last few years because in start of this season mostly peoples after watching their performance feeling they could be relegated as early half of this season they were in relegation zone but next half was surely impressive with they fight back in La Liga and also having win against teams like Manchester United and Juventus in UEFA Europa Cup which bring them into limelight, and now they are winners in this competition draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford was the turning point for them in this event and win because after trailing by 2 - 0 until last few minutes no one was having any feeling about them to win, but they have done and achieve this amazing win which is surely now proud moment for them.
Previously, Sevilla were not the favorites at all in this tournament. But who would have thought they were able to finish so brilliantly. The Europa League doesn't seem to want to be separated from the Spanish representative, luck always overshadows them. However, judging from the obstacles they went through, the Rojiblancos really deserved it.

AS Roma have also struggled to the fullest, they seem to have become the strongest team in Europe since being handled by Jose Mourinho. I don't want to be involved in the discussion regarding the controversial accusations against the referee because the title already belongs to Sevilla. But what is certain is that I really appreciate the hard work of these two teams.

@TheGreatPython I’m not entirely surprised that they won because they have some incredible luck in this competition and thus they always were going to have that psychological advantage and it did boost their confidence as the match headed into the penalties. Furthermore I thought that Mourinho’s record of winning the finals would inspire Roma player’s but I was wrong and Sevilla held their ground to win the tournament.

Although Mourinho's Roma took the lead in the match, they were not completely successful. This came as a surprise to them because they were playing very confidently to win. When Sevilla caught the draw, panic started in Rome and the stress reached its highest level towards the end of the match. I'm sure they were very upset that the final was lost with penalties. We have seen this once again in Sevilla, the king of this cup.

The reason that at first Sevilla was not favored was because Sevilla was in a bad position in the LaLiga standings and thus, Sevilla was also initially not considered and or not favored to reach the final and win the title. But what happened was very different, because when Sevilla managed to beat the seeded teams and then when Sevilla made it to the final of course the view of Sevilla has changed for the better.

Sevilla's run in the Champions League this season was just terrible.
Is it not possible that they do not have the desire to win the competition so it affects how they play for it. They may be happy with dominating the Europa. There is a way Sevilla plays, at the moment when your players are beginning to tire out the Sevilla players always find a way to gather energy and keep increasing the pressure. In just some little moments Sevilla can make use of the opportunity and score. They Did it against Manchester United and against Roma in the Europa finals.
Sevilla has been known for being delighted in the  Europa League more than the champions league. I even bet you that in the next season they will also find a way to crash out of the Champions league in order to embrace the Europa League.
They are more comfortable and experienced in the Europa League more than in the Champions League.
At times I will think they are deliberately crash out of the Champions League in order to increase their chances of winning European Cup through the Europa League.
If we think about Sevilla, they often use this strategy to make it easier for them to win the European league title, and of course they are self-aware that competing in the Champions League with so many other strong teams will make it even more difficult for them to win the Champions League. I think as long as Sevilla do well it doesn't matter and for sure they proved by being consistent in the European league for many seasons. So what Sevilla is doing looks very reasonable, especially winning one title is more important than not getting it at all in one season.

The Sevilla team knows very well that they have no chance of winning the Champions League title. Champions League teams are much stronger than Sevilla. Sevilla may be able to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League if they try their hardest. And it is more honour for Sevilla to be champions of the Europa League. And so Sevilla's main goal is the Europa League title. And next season we will probably see a poor performance of Sevilla in the Champions League. However, Sevilla's main goal will remain to win the Europa League title.

It is true that it seems that Roma also feel lucky enough to be able to compete until the final round in the European league because we know that the players are still filled with the same squad as last season. Maybe there is truth if the owner is willing to spend money to buy new players that can increase the performance power of his squad and Mourinho will be more flexible in determining options for a better starting line-up. We will still be waiting for Roma's revival in the European league next season and surely Mourinho's frustration in this year's final will be avenged by him in the European league next season until he reaches the final again.
Not because AS Roma was lucky but there was a great coach who was able to bring AS Roma to the top of the European league final.
Without the help of Jose Mourinho AS Roma would not be this great and would not be this strong and I am only sure that in next year's season AS Roma will have a better performance in the European league.
There is no doubt about this all José Mourinho's experience and strategy work for AS Roma, and they have good result in Europa Cup but sadly in final luck was not with them as they lost this title on penalties and Sevilla able to win record time which is surely amazing stuff for them and despite having 12th spot in La Liga now they are going to play Champions League again in next season which is another amazing stuff for them.

Roma done good job in this competition and have place into last two which is also good achievement for them with they were not consistent into Serie A which bring them down to sixth, and now they are going to compete again in Europa Cup in next year for this spot they have too thankful to Juventus which lost 10 points and now having 7th spot.

Good luck at UCL next year, Sevilla.
Sevilla will play in the Champions League as European League champions, and this will not be the same for Sevilla, and it is doubtful that they will be able to impress in providing tough resistance to their opponents later, especially if they are able to pass through the group phase, because the Champions League is more competitive because the best team in the league will compete for something prestigious, maybe if Sevilla make changes in the squad they will be able to compete more but with the current squad I doubt there will be a lot of things they can do, so like in the European league they are doubtful but able to answer doubts by lifting trophies but in the champions league everything will be very different. Sevilla must be willing to spend a lot of money to strengthen their squad but that is if they have it, because every club has different financial capabilities.

To be honest, I don't mean to belittle Sevilla. however, the fact is that the final between Sevilla and AS Roma is not as interesting as the other finals. for example, FA Cup, DFB Pokal.  that is, the two teams that competed in the final of this competition did not really have good quality of play.

Well, speaking of matches in the Champions League later, I agree with what @Strongkored said. I'm sure Sevilla won't survive in a more prestigious competition with the existing squad. however, if Sevilla's management makes a lot of changes. I mean, strengthening his team by bringing in newcomers with more potential, at least Sevilla can compete a little with teams at their level. but if not, don't expect Seville to run smoothly. even though Sevilla made many changes to their squad. even then, it does not promise that they can qualify in the group phase. which in essence, Sevilla had to make a lot of changes because what they showed in this competition was more about luck.

The DFB Pokal wasn't any better than the Europa League final. I think the Europa League final was as intense as expected physically and Sevilla did play well and Roma at least gave their best to play and not to lie around on the ground all the time. Depending on where you are coming from of course, but I think the Europa League final is in between the FA Cup and the DFB Pokal. A game between Manchester City and Manchester United is always a highlight whereas a game between Frankfurt and Leipzig is ok, it is not a game everyone would want to watch on a casual Saturday all around the world. But a Europa League final between Sevilla and Roma did probably attract a lot of people and the game was an interesting, exiting fight. As I said, i wasn't so much about the FA Cup itself, but about the teams. If it is Manchester City against Fulham in the FA Cup, it wouldn't be as interesting.

Sevilla's run in the Champions League this season was just terrible. Thanks to the only win they got against Copenhagen their journey continued with the Europa League and reached even to win the title. If we don't see a significant improvement next season we would most probably see a similar result by Sevilla. It depends on the difficulty of their group then though. But unless they get very lucky I don't see a way out for them.

However we have witnessed some really positive things as of the start of Mendilibar period. This needs to continue by adding more and more on top of it. It is the only way for Sevilla to reach their competitive form in every tournament for real. They might need some additions to the squad to make this happen easier too.

I don't think Roma has the ability to be focused in all leagues. I don't think the Roma team is too strong either. Roma is an average team. They have been able to play well in the last two seasons due to Mourinho's excellent match strategy. But if the Roma management is interested in spending money next season, I believe Mourinho will be able to strengthen this team. However, in the past, Roma management was not interested in building the team by spending a lot of money. They may be thrifty this season too.
It is true that it seems that Roma also feel lucky enough to be able to compete until the final round in the European league because we know that the players are still filled with the same squad as last season. Roma is not that high profile football club with a very good squad depth. If they had occupied such positions it should be in the past. Also presently we cannot say that Roma has bad players. The players in the Roma team are fairly good and Jose Mou is using them correctly. What he needs is more signings to strengthen the squad depth. But I am not sure Jose Mourinho will be there for the next season. There are strong news linking him out of the club. Who knows if he will remain and give Roma title next season.

I don't agree with you about Roma, they were not lucky enough in this season.
I think Roma got a good coach and they had a good situation until they faced Sevilla because they couldn't use one of the best players they had, Dybala, and on the other hand, the referee had some mistakes and these mistakes could help Sevilla to win this game.

You are right, the Roma team qualified for the Europa League final due to Mourinho's extraordinary match strategy. And because of an experienced coach like Mourinho, Roma won the Conference League the previous season. Roma won a cup after a long time. The Roma team spends very little money on building their team. If Roma management had spent enough money to build their team then Roma's performance would have been more stable. Mourinho might even be fighting for the Serie A title.

I do agree that Sevilla has beaten some amazing teams to get there and they totally 100% deserved the cup, nobody could even begin to question that and you are right. But that also doesn't change the fact that the final game was butchered by the ref as well, just one position alone is good enough to prove this and everyone knows which one I am talking about.

All in all Sevilla should be happy to get it, they are great at this cup and there is nothing wrong with the players, they did nothing wrong and the players shouldn't feel upset about any of the online attacks they are getting, let them go and ignore those people. But the ones about the ref are totally true, Roma would have won if they had a more fair ref without a doubt, they were much better in that game.

It won't be easy for Sevilla to at least get out of the group stage, but they still have plenty of time to improve the squad they currently have. IN La Liga this season they haven't played as well as they did in the previous season, but when in the Europa League they are like a different club, I don't know the exact reason why they can be different in two different competitions.

This is okay and I don’t see any big deal in them playing differently in these competitions, they’re prioritise in everything and they just prioritise the Europa League more than the La Liga they play in. This maybe because of the money involved, but I’m not sure it is. I just feel it’s better to put all your strength in what you think is achievable than the one that is not.

Quote
The Champions League is one of the goals for the big clubs to be in, and Sevilla has a place there, it's an achievement for them. They now have the nickname of a specialist Europa League club, I hope they are even more motivated to go beyond that nickname and prove themselves in the Champions League.

Qualifying to the champions league is a big achievement for them and they need to go extra effort in order to go far in the competition. This is not Europa League and it’s more competitive than the Europa League because of the big teams involved. If they can’t make it out of the group stage alive, at least we should see them in the Europa League next season after the group stage.

It will take luck for a low-spending club to make an impact in any league. One of the excuses Mourinho gave for losing the Europa apart from the referee was Roma's meager budget. But with limited funds, they have done well even if they slightly lost the Europa and qualified for the competition next season. They came out from a disappointing final to win Spezia with a 90th-minute goal by Dybala. Mourinho's future is still under speculation because he has been connected to some clubs in Europe and the Middle East. But the predictions that he might replace Christophe Galtier are fading because of PSG's interest to hire Julian Nagelsmann, the special one will consider remaining in Roma. And if the club is willing to spend next season, Mourinho will be the best coach for the club.

If PSG wants Mourinho to coach then maybe Mourinho will join PSG. Because PSG is a big club and they have a lot of money. PSG will pay Mourinho big funds to add players of his choice to the squad. But if PSG is interested in Nagelsmann, Mourinho is likely to stay with Roma. Because in the last two seasons, with the help of Mourinho, Roma has performed well. And if the Roma management prepares a decent fund, Mourinho will strengthen the Roma team. I look forward to seeing if Mourinho stays with Roma.
