The situation that Mourinho experienced in the game at that time for me was very natural because it was the final round that decided the victory and Mourinho felt the referee was unfair so he chased the referee into the parking lot.
Mourinho probably wouldn't have done this if this happened in the premier league but this is about the Europa League ending up losing Roma to unfair refereeing.
Hmmm, yes we might argue but things have happened and in the end Mourinho couldn't do much other than protest some decisions. He couldn't make Roma win the last match regardless of the referee's controversy, that's because his strategy against Sevilla was not bad. Even the Roma penalty takers were unable to break into Yassine Bounou's goal on two different occasions. Mourinho's strategy did not turn out as expected because he forgot that Yassine Bounou was one of the best goalkeepers during the last World Cup.

José Mourinho has been charged for using insulting and abusive language towards referee Anthony Taylor during the Europa League final. As a fan of football, it is disappointing to see a manager confronting a referee in such a violent manner. However, perhaps Mourinho did not know how to properly express his grievances. This news may not come as a surprise, as Jose has always been known to speak his mind about what he perceives as the truth. I have concern that did UEFA really witness everything that happened on the pitch?
Mourinho has the right to criticize the referee because he feels Roma have been wronged by some of his decisions, but the way Mourinho did it was not very wise. There have been plenty of other teams hurt by the referee's decision to officiate but some coaches simply talk to the media instead of chasing the referee into the parking lot. That's very unwise in my opinion, but Mourinho's annoyance is understandable.

Yes, he has the right to question the decisions of the referee in a match, but he also has to do well, unfortunately he does things he shouldn't. I understand that it all happened because of emotion because he felt the referee's decision was very detrimental to AS Roma, but he should have known because he is a very experienced coach who must be able to control himself.

This title is such an important one for especially Sevilla manager Mendilibar. Because the guy had zero titles with any team in his manager career until this season. This was mostly due to managing below average teams in Spain though. I don't think he would have had a chance like this if Sevilla didn't do this bad in the La Liga this season. And he used this chance in a great way as it can be clearly seen.

Now he might have a bigger chance to manage some other decent teams in case of leaving Sevilla.

Sevilla are like a Europa League title magnet though. No matter who manages them Sevilla still find a way to become very successful in this tournament. It is like they won the half of the tournaments in last 10 years. This was crucial for them to join back the Champions League also of course. Because even though they got away from the relegation field they couldn't get that close to top 4.

A match that produced thirteen yellow cards is not a controversial free game. Roma had seven and Sevilla got six. Mourinho felt that Erik Lamela should have received a second yellow card because of his challenge on Pablo Ibanez but the referee overlooked it. After closely watching the game I think referee Anthony Taylor was fair. Mourinho and Roma were desperate to win the game because that trophy would have given them the financial boast the club needed. I also think Mourinho would have remained in the club to complete the remaining year left in his contract because of the qualification for the UEFA champions league. Now there is speculation that he would leave the Italian outfit. His manner each time he fails to win a game is not acceptable, he should learn from other top coaches that control their emotions. I think he will be fined or suspended from some games. But I doubt if this punishment will deter him from his aggressive approach each time he loses a game because he has always faced the same punishment and failed to change.

In the end Roma made their mark, they didn't play badly. But anything can happen in a final.
I'm only sorry that Jose Mourinho took it so badly. They've been making it to the final two years in a row, he should be satisfied anyway I think.

Yep, they didn't play badly and they also lost unfairly. I'm sure AS Roma and their fans are very upset about the decision made by Anthony Taylor, it could be, if Anthony Taylor gives a penalty to AS Roma, maybe they will get the UEL title. Not only in the Sevilla - AS Roma match, even Anthony Taylor had made the wrong decision several times before. I agree with AS Roma fans, this referee should be punished for the wrong decisions he made.

Mourinho is who he is. He has forever been one of the worst losers in football history and he usually never had manners. There is a video where they are in the underground car park or something and Mourinho screams at the referee that he is "a disgrace" and he couldn't his anger for a second. I find that really disturbing because which other coach would do that so long after the final has ended. It would even be bad on the pitch, but I think something similar happened to other coaches as well, but doing it offside the pitch and screaming and insulting like a little schoolboy is typical Mourinho.

You are right that even in La Liga Sevilla did not appear as serious as in the Europa League competition. No one would be surprised how strong Sevilla's DNA is in the Europa League. Seeing from the beginning Sevilla appeared in the Europa League until they reached their peak in the Final 50% of them locked in a win even though the opponent was Roma. They have won 7 trophies which makes the next season quite interesting as many Premier League challengers like Liverpool and Brighton can show resistance.
I think this is one of the intelligence of Sevilla coach, they know this season is not a good season for their team in La Liga, they are only able to be in 11th position in the standings. Making the focus on UEL is the right decision. Even they are struggling in La Liga, they were able to maintain their position in UEL until they succeeded in becoming champions. AS Roma lost in the UEL final, but I think this is a sign that Mourinho has been able to improve AS Roma slowly.

If Sevilla is not serious in La Liga, then it is very likely that Sevilla will be relegated, because at first Sevilla was able to recover or get up too after making many attempts in La Liga matches. With great efforts that continue to be made, Sevilla can finally avoid the relegation zone in La Liga and what's more, Sevilla can win the Europa League title this season by getting rid of other big teams like Manchester United and also Juventus and not just AS Roma.

Of course the coach will feel annoyed when this very important match has to be tarnished by injustice on the field, let alone Roma have the opportunity to win the European league title for the first time, I think it's very natural that Mourinho is very angry after the match. Maybe Mourinho doesn't feel sorry for himself, but he regrets more because it was a hard effort for his players to get to the final and it can be a very heavy mental pressure for any player to be able to accept that result. Well, the final match has passed now Roma must return to its original job to start something new next season and Mourinho must strengthen the mentality of his players again after the end of the season.

everyone has a reason to win, Roma had reasons to win and Mourinho also had reasons to win
but unfortunately it never goes as "we want" and the winner is only one
I saw the game a bit and ball possession was Sevilla's, an indication that they managed the game
moreover, Roma used long balls hoping to catch their attackers
so it was almost a foregone conclusion as a result

so Sevilla happen because Sevilla is better
In the final, there have been so many pros and cons regarding Sevilla's victory, but like it or not, we admit that Sevilla mentality in the Europa League is beyond doubt. Even though I expect Rome to rise as a trophy winner. Dybala sadness seemed to be in the spotlight because seeing how he struggled throughout the match needed to be appreciated. Fate was still not on Rome's side and had to swallow a bitter defeat.

No doubt with Sevilla has bad perform in La Liga but success won UEFA Europe League this season and make them qualify to Champion League next season. Actually, Sevilla is not favorite team for winning Europe League because many people favored Arsenal and Manchester United are favorite teams will winning Europe League. Can't compare with domestic league performance and Europe League because Sevilla has experienced won all Europe League participants.

Its great achievement for Sevilla won 7 Europe League tittle, Sevilla won all Europe League final participants and impressive record with La Liga team when their perform in domestic league very poor.

Regarding what we from Sevilla in this season, they had this team didn't have a performance at all in La Liga but the fact about Sevilla is they are usually successful in Europa League, and Sevilla once again win the trophy while they were not stronger than most of the other teams like Roma and Manchester United.
If I'm not wrong, I think Sevilla won the title seven times, and winning this tournament for seven times is a great achievement for any team.

it's all thanks to the experience of the Sevilla players at UEL, there are so many that the final match against Roma has a very experienced coach but in reality the coach's experience is not the key to victory but victory or defeat depends on the team's players.
and finally Sevilla who were able to win the 7th European league title even though they didn't have a great coach like Mourinho but Sevilla's players were able to appear solid to bring victory to all the fans.

It's a shame, especially about Gianluca Mancini who managed to create an assist for Dybala but Gianluca Mancini also scored an own goal. Also, I got some footage, it looks like Sevilla has quite the advantage because the referee doesn't seem to be on AS Roma's side. Because there was a moment when a Sevilla player had a hand ball in the penalty box, but the referee didn't make it a penalty because the hand ball occurred in the penalty box. If so, then Sevilla again and again get lucky because after all, if the referee made a fairer decision then it looks like AS Roma will still win until the end of the match with a score of 1-0 or 2-1.
Fulltime draw and proceeding into penalty shootouts, one need to see much confidence from sevilla players and the fans, chanting songs of victories. Mendilibar demonstrates over again that he is the ideal man to lead the Spanish side to victory. He's done it before, repeating winning was not difficult again. AS Roma was unlucky throughout the game, struggling to score; Giallorossi fans should accept defeat; they're no match for Sevilla, especially in a prestigious competition like the Europa League final. It was a crucial game for Sevilla, as they needed to win this trophy in order to restore their place in La Liga this season, as we all know.

How this can be a shame for Roma when they lost the game to Sevilla because they had a perfect performance in this game and I think regardless of their own goals Roma could readily even beat Seivvla in this game.
Also, Sevilla is not a weak team and they are known for their performance in Europa League in the previous seasons.

I also agree that it is definitely no shame at all if you are in the final of the UEFA Europa League and then you lose it to FC Sevilla, the club that has won the Europa League more often than any other club. So AS Roma can be pretty proud about how far they have come in this competition. No doubt about that.
I do think though, that the way AS Roma came that far was really really questionable. Especially in the second leg against Leverkusen Rome played a horrible style of football. Not only did they play extremely defensively over the whole 90 minutes they also played very unfair by wasting at least 10 minutes in the second half alone.
