Barcelona's only chance is that United will treat the Europa League as their second priority this season. There are all prerequisites for this - United are doing well in the Premier League and they have every chance of not only gaining a foothold in the top 4 but even climbing higher. Given the value of qualifying for the Champions League, this looks like a bigger deal than beating Barcelona. Winning the Europa League also gives a direct ticket to the Champions League but it is less "guaranteed" as there is a lot of randomness in the knockout games.
I think that Barcelona has the better chances here but the fact that they are directly fighting with Real Madrid to win the La Liga makes it a bit more difficult for them compared to Manchester United which has no title winning objective and it is impossible for them to win the title in the Premier League.
Barcelona when compared player by player I think has a better quality and normally should qualify further in the Europa League and be a strong contender to win the Europa League but in these encounters you never know how it might go because it is just a 2 game elimination so it can be anyone's game.
I'm not at all sure that in terms of players, Barcelona will be ahead, but it doesn't matter - football is a team game and United look much stronger here. United are more flexible and they are able to play with different opponents using different strategies. I don't follow Barcelona much but their game looks like either stupid ball rolling or crosses on Lewandowski "for good luck" with extremely low efficiency. Is there any chance Xavi will come up with something new? I highly doubt it.

I also think that Manchester United is stronger and more organized than Barcelona. The Barcelona team has many star players. But the bonding between the players is still not good enough. Barcelona shared points with the likes of Espanyol in their last La Liga match. It will be very difficult for Barcelona to win against United with such a team. Barcelona still has plenty of time to sort out their internal problems. Hope they can stabilize the team.

This is like the brightest season for Arsenal in the recent years.

They have a pretty good chance to go for the English Premier League and Europa League titles both. They have done a good work so far about balancing them. For now they are completely concentrated on their EPL matches and things are going well there. They haven't faced a bigger team than PSV in the Europa League yet. But I think they would still show a good performance. Their results in their domestic league must be a good proof for that. As they care about both tournaments they wouldn't be complacent here as well. Besides they are lucky about another thing that one of the biggest title contenders is going to be out of the tournament by this stage already.
They have been very good in the EPL and Manchester City keeps slipping off when you least expect them to do so. As for Europa, I think there is still a huge mountain for them to claim. I still see a number of teams that can cause an Upset if they met Arsenal at a certain stage in the tournament such as Barcelona, Roma, Manchester United, Ajax, Record winners Sevilla etc
Still too early to guess who the winner might be in my opinion.

In current situation Arsenal and Manchester United both are looking for their chance into this Europa League because both are having good results in their respective league and their squad depth is also at their best which can give them good success in this league as well with most chances Arsenal is having better position but as we all know UEFA is having record of unpredictable results and title winners here any team can win on his day now after we have few teams are eliminated from the Champions League things looking more interesting but still these both having better chance for the win with their recent performance and quality of the game in all competitions.

I for one have enjoyed Arsenals game so far, as long as this season is concerned. Their performance after the world cup break has shown a steady rise in team spirit mostly following the absence of  Gabriel Jesus to injury. a
As title contenders, their contention for the Europa League title is a hard fought one with more hopes of success than failure.
Till they face a bigger team, only then can you and I steady our faith in their abilities to even lift a trophy this season.

This should be an ongoing process without expecting any achievements in a season that has been filled with inconsistent team performances. I'm not going to forbid them from setting a target of becoming champions, but it takes time for a team that has just recently resurrected like Manchester United. I think it will be very hasty in its first season already targeting a trophy which at the beginning received the team in not good condition.
Wouldn't it be better if a team like Manchester United were able to win the Europa League trophy in conditions like now this season? Because the Manchester United team is a big team and has also had a very long career in football so there is no rush or first season here because Manchester United needs a trophy to prove to the public that they are still very strong and able to achieve what they want. And it can also be a boost for team motivation for the next season again.

Anyway, nothing is certain and any outcome can happen for Manchester United but if Manchester United can beat Barcelona, then at least Manchester United will have more chances to become candidates for the Europa League title this season.
Erik ten Hag has also been very impressive so far this season for Manchester United so yes, Manchester United this season does have a chance to go further.

Because after all, in the group stage Manchester United did not get too good results because they were only runners up.
But now Ronaldo is not in the Manchester United squad so I feel Manchester United's performance looks better, because that also happened to their good results in the Premier League after the World Cup break.

However, Rashford is not really the answer to United's needs in the centre-forward position. like it or not, Ten Hag had to bring in some newcomers, especially pure stickers, to sharpen their front line. We'll see which players Ten Hag will bring in this January. If he brings in the right players, I'm sure Manchester United will be an opponent who can again be on a par with the big clubs competing in the European League competition. before preparing for the match for the playoffs later, Ten Hag will focus his troops more on the Domestic League competition to maintain the ranking they currently occupy.

Agree. United needs a center-forward

The Red Devils lack a striker to play in all the leagues they currently participate in (Premier League, Europe League, etc)
Erik Ten Hag also expressed his desire to sign more strikers.
The rumors today. The Red Devils are in the market to bring Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig.
And for a short-term option, the Red Devils reportedly want to borrow AC Milan, striker. Olivier Giroud.
Though Rashford is not doing badly currently, I think the club needs a central forward, and Oliver Giroud isn't a bad striker but as it stands now I don't think Oliver Giroud can fit into Manchester United's pattern of play. Lately, man united plays without much dependency on a point man, and I think it's fine that way, if anyone should join Man united now I think Dani Olmo is the best option. He can play as an attacking midfielder or a winger.  Olmo and Rashford can make a formidable pair compared to Giroud who is already aging.

I'm not a Manchester fan, but I like Ten Hag's coaching style more than any previous coach with the exception of Sir Alex Ferguson. Speaking of United, as far as I'm concerned, Erik Ten Hag has never stated that he is aiming for any trophy. Teh Hag came to coach United, to bring Manchester Uniter in a better direction. he only targets victory after victory in each of his matches, both in domestic competition and the Europa League. after all, Ten Hag is a coach who has high integrity and has the ability to bring United on a par with clubs competing in the Champions League.

Ten Hag knew very well that in his first season he would not be able to win a trophy unless United were really lucky. after all, currently Arsenal and Manchester City are more favored in their domestic league competition. for the Europa league, because we don't know the newcomers who will be brought to Old Trafford.  So far, we're just guessing. for sure, Barcelona vs United will present a very interesting match for us to watch. for the Gunners, they remain the strongest candidate to win a trophy in this competition with their positive trending performance.
Having a manager with a good system is always a tricky thing. It means you are going to not get wins right away, because it requires players to learn more about the team and the system, but it also means that you are going to be growing better eventually and that gives some potential.

Plus, if you buy players that fit the system better, which they already have done and only lacking a striker if they do not want to continue with Rashford, then it would be even quicker adjustment as well. I think it's obvious that we are seeing what could be a start of a great team so far and they are not at that "win title" level yet but they show promise of future that they could become that team.

He and Manchester United are climbing up to a third position in Premier League but I agree that thinking of the trophy is too optimistic. A third or second position at the end can be great for them. Again we should remember that Ole Solskajer had a season with a runner-up position with Manchester United but after all he was sacked by them.

I think that the target must be to enter into the top 4 until the season. You can dream if MU will be winning the current season but the problem is when you are aware about the fact that if arsenal has a very big gap to the MU. that was not possible for MU to be able to surpass arsenal if it keeps doing more and more win streak. I think that we shall try to used our logic.
We can even know if MU will not be possible to go to the champion for this season. We must be realistic with the gap between MU and arsenal.
What you were saying just like you can't accept the truth if arsenal has the biggest chance to win this season and not MU

I like Ten Hag that he does not criticize players directly in press conferences or on social media like Mourinho. He is determinant with his plan and decision that can make success for him in Manchester United. However, he is more lucky than previous coaches because he is receiving bigger support from the club. After many years of failure after retirement of Sir. Alex Ferguson, Manchester United are returning back to long term plan and after the failed bet with Paul Pogba, they are deciding to give power back to their coach, not star players.

I don't think Manchester United will be treating the Europa League as their second priority as you just said. Manchester United has stepped up their form a bit and is putting in more consistency in its winning, but I will not be fast to say that they will be able to overthrow Manchester city not to talk more of Arsenal who seems unyielding and indomitable this season. For that, man united will be more focused on the Europa League than The EPL. The only problem is that they will still have to defeat Arsenal before they could secure the Europa title. For now, I see Arsenal as man united greatest Rival.

That is the toughest problem for Manchester United this season because in the Europa League there is also Arsenal and in the Premier League Arsenal are also still leading the top of the standings which will also be very difficult for Manchester United to unseat Arsenal. And actually this kind of thing will also be very interesting to see in the Europa League because both of these teams will both focus more on two different competitions this season.

Yep. Ronaldo is a story of the past. In United, no player is Bigger than his club.
But I think Manchester United still needs to bring in a striker that can score Goals.

Btw, Let's keep the focus, take the points and get that 3rd Position by winning Bournemouth today. Go United... Start the year with a win.
MU has replacement for ronaldo and that's rashford. there's no need to feel disappointed when ronaldo already gone. ronaldo has gotten a new club for him. Rashford is also a very good winger like ronaldo. Rashford has become a new superstar for MU. Bournemouth seems an easy opponent for MU. it's likely MU will be winning the match by scoring a lot of goals against bournemouth.
United needs to be consistent to make sure if it can even enter into the top 3. Manchester city and newcastle were struggling by facing the small clubs. Both were getting draw and MU can use that golden opportunity.
The result from the MU in EPL can give more moral to the whole of its players in the europa league when MU will be facing barcelona.

Marcus Rashford can never match Cristiano Ronaldo's laces, how can you say he is the replacement for Ronaldo Eh .? It beautiful to see Marcus Rashford scoring back to back four goals, but it's not just peng to say that.
All of these comparison aside, as far as Manchester United wins I'm okay, those saves from David has been stucked high up here in my fucking head

I think I have said too much of it, it'll be disappointing to see that Marcus Rashford is Injured and Manchester United won't be able to score goals. Garnacho had few chances last night, got to hit the cross bar and also lay the assist for Luke Shaw to score.

Barcelona is currently not showing the best of performances. Because Barcelona has drawn the first match after the break. That was the match Barcelona really should have not drawn.

We also very well know, that Barcelona has some problems going on with the team. The team itself is not a very balanced one. You know, they are also unable to bring in any new players, any new good players right now in the team. That’s obviously because of the financial problems they are facing right now.

Another thing is Barcelona right now is concentrating more on the La Liga title. So, I am not very confident about winning against Manchester United. Manchester United on the other hand has shown some significant improvements.

Ever since Ronaldo' left Manchester united,  united have been playing all their games well with a good result. If I should compare the performance and challenge in both teams, I think Manchester United is better,  all their player’s are doing better in performance.
Manchester united has already orove in their March during the weekend that they can do without Ronaldo.
I think Manchester United's performance is very independent of Ronaldo and this has nothing to do with Ronaldo because before Ronaldo left Manchester United, Ronaldo was also not fully played into the game, so Manchester United's appearance that has been seen so far was purely due to the efforts of the coach himself. who are still determined to change the way of playing for the better and now it is starting to show.
MU has been evolving. MU is doing even better without ronaldo. Ronaldo itself already got a new club for him. There's no reason to linked him anymore with MU. Mu has rashford that has become a new favourite player.
The coach has responsibility to make the club even better than before. MU was still performing so well without ronaldo. Ronaldo was not everything for MU.
Think about that. MU has a credibility and ronaldo has been destroying it It's a common thing to see that ronaldo was terminated by Mu.
Ronaldo is happy with his new club now. MU is focusing to enter into the top three in EPL and winning against barcelona in the continuation of europa league. The match against barcelona is very important

I have some level of trust in Manchester United to defeat Barcelona and knock them out of the Europa league. Manchester United have a history of playing very well against toughest of opponents just as they defeated PSG on several occasions and so far the only team to defeat Arsenal this season in the premier league, same way they will up their game against Barcelona and get the expected result in the game. Barcelona have a star studded squad but it definitely won't be easy competing against Manchester United.
Yes, I agree with you, MU will be strong and powerful if meets a level 1 team like Barcelona and PSG. When we look at how they defeated Bournemouth 3-0 earlier, we do not doubt that they will be easy to overcome Barcelona. But, they are still being watched, especially after Ronaldo leave, because their habit also with lost still doubt repeated any time, and any match. So, I still don't know how Ten Hag managed the squad to be compact and unified without Ronaldo, seem to look like happy, and play loose.
