Yes, it is not something that is impossible, in fact many teams have lost against teams that are not more favored than them in the Europa League this season. Let's say Barcelona lost to Frabkfurt last season. Even though they were recently no better than this season, it provides an opportunity that a team that is considered weak can shock the match by beating the team that is more favored.

Im thinking about that too with so many popular clubs made europa league become even more attractive to the users. The club like juventus, barcelona have been helping europa league to be hyped again. europa league is not so bad. It seems like that the club like barcelona and juventus will have another hard time in europa league as well. The team who played in europa league can't be underestimated. Barcelona was losing against a team in europa league last season. The same thing may happen again with barcelona. I don't expect something good to happen with barcelona in europa league.

Difficult or not , I think Arsenal has the first chance to win Europa League because if we take a closer look, they finished Group A with 5 wins out of 6 games and have a +5 goal difference so that tell us clearly that they like to score a lot and once they score , they won't lose the game. Now , in 2nd place , I might give it to Betis Sevilla and not Man.United. Why ? Well , United are really looking like a complete team ? I say no. Betis on the other hand , have played with almost same players for 3 years now or even and this makes them a strong team and very united with each other to complete their goal to win an European Competition.

I know Barcelona are in a very good form,and they are capable of winning the Europa league,but I can't underate the likes of Arsenal,and Ajax which are also in this competition.They can shock people and they are also capable of lifting the Europa trophy as well.I don't really see Manchester United as a threat to this tittle because they haven't really done well in the EPL this season.The only club I think they can tend to be a threat to Arsenal in this competition is Barca,because they have a strong squad that is capable of defeating any opponent that comes their way.But nevertheless,I still see Arsenal as a team that can lift this trophy.

Of course unexpected teams have a chance to be champions in European tournaments like the Europa League or Europa Conference League. We have witnessed this before as you have said. However I think this is still limited to some teams. I wouldn't expect to see a team having not even an average level of squad making it to the title.

Frankfurt had an average squad and they combined it with a strong team spirit very well. That was why they managed to be the champions in the previous season. But we don't see this kind of incidents very often still. Mostly we see teams above average reaching the title.

No, you're wrong. It is not the culture of Barcelona to build their team around one person. The peak of Barcelona had every player at top level. People would only mention Xavi and Iniesta but the likes of Puyol, Villa, Pedro, Abidal, Alves, Macharano, Busquest were all top players. Messi only happen to be the best player among all of them even at a very young age. The best player in every team always comes on top especially when the player plays an attacking position. It's when all these people left Barcelona that Messi became the sole person in the team and had to do everything for the team except defend.
