Erik ten Hag undoubtedly has goals and objectives, and he may have his own justification for not playing the first-team squad in the game against Real Sociedad. Manchester United may be more focused on winning the Premier League than the Europa League this year.

It was a really disappointing result from Manchester United. Seeing Maguire in the starting eleven made me uncomfortable about the match immediately. Because it is like the team can't win even one match when he plays. Anyway, Ronaldo was finally in the starting eleven in a match after a long break. He found so many goal opportunities but couldn't benefit from any of them. Actually he scored one but he was caught offside by a small gap. But I wouldn't blame him for this loss of course. Because he didn't play properly until that match.

I understand Erik ten Hag's choices for this match. They needed to rotate the squad to prevent any fatigue for the crucial players before the next Premier League match. But this was still a match that could have got one point at worst. Because their first half performance and the one after conceding the goal were impressive.

Dynamo Kyiv defense made a huge mistake in the last minutes. Quality forwards like Batshuayi don't forgive mistakes like this. Apart from this big mistake, Dynamo Kyiv actually played a good game. From time to time, there were parts in the match where they played better than Fenerbahçe. But ultimately Fenerbahce won the match. I'm really curious about the result of the second match in the group. Because there was a good rivalry between these two teams.

Fenerbahce finally broke a leg against Dynamo Kyiv. Honestly it was really seeming like a draw game in the last minutes. But Batshuayi saved the team in his first official match with them. Gustavo Henrique was a player who was being criticised for not making a big effort for his team before. But I think that he has increased his credit by scoring a really great header in this game.

Honestly this game might have finished by even a defeat for Fenerbahce. Because while it was 1-1 Dynamo Kyiv found some critical chances. Altay's saves were really important for the team to stay in the game mentally. I don't know why they lost their focus for some time either. Maybe they won by 2-1 but they need to play more consistent during the whole game in the other group games. This is a group they can finish as the leader.

Ten Hag seemed to change tactics and rotate players and that proved ineffective but I don't agree if Ronaldo is to blame for this defeat, he is a target man because he doesn't have sufficient backing to score goals.
Overall I see Manchester United's game unlike some of the previous games which have won 4 Premier League games in a row.
because a lot of player rotation may be the main reason for coach Ten Hag's tactics not to run smoothly. but this is inseparable from Ten Hag's concoction to be able to play many players in order to be able to face the tight competition schedule.

If you really watched the match yesterday, you will discover that Manchester United didn't play so badly, they only lacked the chemistry that will give them goals. The like of Ronaldo is no longer a young man and he must realise that honestly. The runnings he could not do and to get the goals no way, even the air movement he is known for didn't work. Another aged player that wasn't upto the desired performance is Casemiro and that shows that whenever Eric Ten is benching them in English Premier league we shouldn't complain. They have played their peak and they should give way for younger players.


There is nothing like a player giving a team bad luck the main thing is that Maguire is not supposed to be in Manchester United starting eleven. If you watched the match, it appeared that Maguire played very well but if you are a good football observer you will notice that Maguire was the reason Manchester United could not press high. Everyone was afraid and not confident at Maguire and that was indirectly drawing the team to play defensive football.
Also at the second half, every dangerous clearance made was made by Martinez or Malacia or Fred. Maguire is always not found when the team is in problem.

So, when Eric benches Maguire, Casemiro and Ronaldo in English Premier league, Manchester United fans should not complain.

Coming to the Europa now, Harry Maguire managed to get on the starting lineup and again, you find Manchester United facing difficulty in soring a goal despite several chances created and on target balls. Unfortunately, Lisandro Martinez committed a foul that cost the team a penalty and a goal.

Having Harry Maguire on the team and as it's captain doesn't bring out the best in Manchester United.

Two consecutive defeats experienced by AS Roma in two different competitions clearly made the players' mental collapse. Jose Mourinho must immediately evaluate his squad and return Roma to winning ways. This season AS Roma are favored by many parties, being able to compete with the top teams in Serie A and also being a serious contender for the European league, but with the results in the last two matches, many people are starting to be pessimistic about the existence of Roma this season. But in my opinion, Roma still have enough time to immediately develop the right strategy and I am sure Mourinho will take Roma further on the European stage.

Is it just a coincidence or what? Whenever Maguire is in the starting lineup, Manchester United are unable to win (mostly defeated) like their first 2 EPL matches. I am starting to think that Maguire give them a bad luck if he is on the starting lineup plus as a captain. I think most of their fans also have the same thought as mine I know Ten Haag want to make a rotation in his squad to give chance for other players, but this result is so bad. Europa League is less popular indeed, but they should also think that there is a way to go to Champions League from this competition. As an alternative way if they cant finish in top 4 at the end of the EPL season.

Manchester United probably didn’t deserved much out of the game in terms of scoring despite having some half chances. The team looked extremely disjointed after the break especially with Lindelof at RB - totally ran inside out. Fred and Casemiro were giving up possession easily in the middle of the park while Bruno was anonymous again. Really need Eriksen in the midfield pulling the strings. Otherwise, it’s back to last season’s Manchester United. Then again that penalty decision on Lisandro Martinez was absolutely disgraceful but again I’m not surprised.

Manchester United really have problems in the team since they lose to such weak opponents not only in the Premier League, but also in the Europa League, especially in a home game. I don't think they can win the return game in Spain, although Manchester United have always been unpredictable and maybe not all is lost for them yet. Still, it's a shame that they lost a home game.

before in the EPL, MU showed a good performance and the strategy for the match was really right (putting Maguire and Cristiano on the bench) but when both played as starters, MU lost to Sociedad.  In the future it looks like Ten Hag will have to repeat his strategy and not use Maguire and Cristiano as starters.

Yesterday though Manchester United played much better and created a whole lot more chances than Real Sociedad did however they were having problems in scoring and that was their problem yesterday.Real Sociedad was cynical in those few occasions they got a penalty and converted it to goal.Most probably Ten Hag is focused more on the Premier League as he is in Europa League plus even if Manchester United is ranked up 3rd in the group which should be easy for them they will get to Europa Conference League so their European journey is much likely to continue.

Erik ten Hag's team was surprised by Real Sociedad. The result is not surprising, however, as Man United does not do well against Spanish opponents at home. In Europa as well, Manchester United is disgracing itself. A Spanish football club teaches him the level he has reached. There will be more surprises to come. The reason why Eriksen was taken off instead of Fred was not clear to me. Eriksen's departure threw the midfield into chaos. There is also room for improvement for Casemiro.
