It is somewhat funny how fast things change in football for a specific team and if you are a bettor and don't keep track of what a team does you lose money like in tonight game of Sheriff Tiraspol game.Last year or 2 years ago they were playing in Champions League against Inter Milan and Real Madrid and now they are in extra time fighting to qualify further with a much weaker team than those they faced in the Champions League,a team from Armenia which in theory should have been no problem for them.So far there are about 10 minutes to end the extra time and it would be really interesting to see if they will or will not qualify further in Europa League.

Past 4 years in a row, Europa league has been won by teams that started their Europa campaign from the group stages itself. Teams being Chelsea(18-19), Sevilla (19-20), Villarreal(20-21), Frankfurt (21-22). The last 3 of them were against opponents that had joined Europa from the champions league but couldnt manage to win it all. All of the games were close though so, this could be a toss up again. With the introduction to Conference league, Europa league seems to have gotten a bit stronger and more prestigious.

I have to say I'm not very hopeful for Turkish teams playing in Europa League today. Sivasspor's job is too hard, they will play with Malmö in Sweden. When I watched Sivasspor's Super Cup game I gave them their point, they were ridiculously bad. And that match was only three weeks ago. I don't think they have significant improvement in the team. Rıza Çalımbay don't have a magic stick in his hands. This team is bad. They have only one point in two league matches. Sadly I'm expecting a clear Malmö win today.
On the other hand Fenerbahçe is favorite in Wien. Austria Wien started their local league very bad and only got one win and one draw in first four games. They also started with minus three points so now they are in the last position with only one point. There is a big difference between these two clubs. Austria Wien's best player valued less than Fenerbahçe's one of reserved players wage. Even though there is a huge difference, odds are still high enough for Fenerbahçe, that means bookmakers also don't make them heavy favorite. @Lordhermes if they come against Roma then they’ll definitely perish, because Mourinho is a serial winner and Arteta side yet doesn’t have the experience of winning a big trophy hence too early to predict for Arsenal’s success. @zaki12 I’m not sure if Manchester United is a opponent to be feared, because if they play McFred and perform like their opening game then they’ll be easily beaten, but I’m sincerely hoping that they can transform themselves quickly and then compete for all the trophies.

There were UEFA Europa League 3nd Qualifying Round 2nd leg match tonight. That was an easy tour for Fenerbahçe. Fenerbahce drew 1-1 with Slovacko. Fenerbahce will play play-off matches with Austria Wien. Fenerbahçe should pass Austria Wien. But Fenerbahce is unpredictable.
